1 Mom Says This Photo of Her Yawning While Nursing Is the "Most Beautiful"
Because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, most moms will have different opinions on which photo of themselves with their kids (or even without) is the most beautiful. For one mom, a photo her husband snapped on Easter of her yawning while nursing their 4-month-old daughter takes the cake.
"We had a huge egg hunt yesterday and grilled and went to the park for hours, had a bonfire last night with family, and today because I am a mom of five and I don't get to do it often I dressed up (like up UP!) to go to church and Easter dinner . . . and wore high heels," the mom wrote in a post shared to the Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page. "After everything was over and cleaned up my husband snapped this picture of me nursing our 4-month-old. At first I saw it and kinda thought it was an awful picture, but after some thought I now think it may be the most beautiful picture he has ever gotten of me."
The photo, featuring the mom and her daughter in Easter dresses on the couch may not look like much to most people, but for her, it's the most honest representation of who she is at this very moment. "This is me!" she wrote. "Busy mom. Five kids. Non-stop. Seven consecutive years of breastfeeding my babies until they are ready to quit."
She ends her post with a valuable piece of advice for other sleep-deprived mamas: "It is okay to be tired sometimes, ladies! Sometimes it takes a picture of me like this to get me to really be okay with that."
