Anne Hathaway's Comment on First Birthdays Is So Hilariously Relatable
Anne Hathaway just hilariously nailed exactly how all parents feel about throwing a first birthday party for their child in one short sentence. In a clip from The Ellen Degeneres show featuring both Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis, the three celebrities discuss everything babies, from which direction to wipe in depending on their gender to how to use pee pee tepees, but Hathaway's comments at the very beginning of the segment are what have us nodding our heads in agreement the most.
"Did you have a birthday party?" Ellen asks Hathaway in reference to her son Jonathan's recent first birthday. "It's not really worth the energy for a 1-year-old, is it?" Hathaway instantly grins and responds, "Oh, I completely agree, and yes, we had a birthday party."
Sudeikis's laugh in response to her candid comment is literally all of us. Despite the fact that 1-year-olds have basically a 0 percent chance of remembering their first birthday, we parents are suckers for adorable themed parties and cake smashes.
