How 1 Tandem Breastfeeding Photo Captures the True Beauty of Friendship
After one mama gave birth, she and her newborn struggled with their breastfeeding journey. Between issues with a malformation of tissue and the mom's inability to produce enough milk on her own, successful nursing wasn't going as planned.
However, this unnamed mom had a friend who stepped in and made her parenting goals for her baby girl come true. "Thanks to my amazing friend, Steph Coen, who not only donates, but wet nurses for my sweet girl, she is still only fed with human milk!" the grateful mom shared on the Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page.
In the photo accompanying the post, Steph can be seen tandem breastfeeding both hers and her friend's baby, as the two are just eight days apart. Even though some consider wet nursing to be controversial, this mom is grateful that Steph is giving both her and her baby a beyond-precious gift.
