» Selena's Widower Posts Their Marriage License on What Would Have Been Their Anniversary
If our hearts are melting, then yours probably will too! Selena's widower, Chris Perez, posted a photo of their marriage license on what would have been their 25th anniversary.
"On another note, it's hard to believe that today marks 25 years since Selena and I decided that the only way to be together...was to run away and get married (at 20 and 22 years old) in secret. What a rollercoaster ride THAT day was," he posted on Facebook on April 2.
Selena and Chris eloped just a few months after dating and didn't look back. The two were still happily married when Selena tragically passed away after being shot by the president of her fan club at the time. Chris has always been very vocal about the importance of continuing to remember his late wife.
"To be able to go out there and talk about it and see the love that the fans have 20 years later, is inspiring," he said in an interview in 2015.
Chris and Selena will always be a power couple in our eyes.
