This Isn't a "Chantaje"! Shakira and Maluma Break a YouTube Record
Shakira and Maluma are no. 1!
The duo's music video for their hit song "Chantaje" is the fastest Spanish language release to reach one billion views. It only took 141 days for "Chantaje" to dethrone Nicky Jam's "Hasta el Amanecer." The music video's record breaking didn't stop there. It also became the third fastest video to supersede 1 billion views after Adele's "Hello" and Psy's "Gangnam Style." This is Maluma's first time being in a video passing the 1 billion view mark, but it's Shakira's second go around. The singer's "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" has over 1.3 billion views.
