This Man Wants to Move the "Fearless Girl" Statue For 1 Infuriating Reason

When the "Fearless Girl" statue was erected in New York City's financial district, it instantly became a popular attraction. Many tourists and locals alike started flocking to the bronze sculpture, which was installed on International Women's Day to call attention to the lack of women on the boards of large US corporations. It looked like the whole city was a fan of the symbolic statue, but one man in particular is now speaking up to show his opposition to it.

Arturo Di Modica, the sculptor of the "Charging Bull" statue that is situated directly across from the "Fearless Girl," is accusing New York City of violating his rights by positioning the figure there without his consent. He said the girl alters the "creative dynamic" developed by his giant bull statue, which is ultimately infringing on his artistic copyright, The Guardian reports.

The sculptor called the "Fearless Girl" an "advertising trick" implemented by State Street Global Advisors, the investment corporation that installed it, and McCann, its NYC-based advertising firm. Although Mayor Bill de Blasio recently announced the bronze girl will stay there until February 2018, Di Modica will be challenging the officials who extended that permit.

It sounds like someone's a little salty about a girl stealing his thunder, and many people on social media seem to agree.
