13 Vegan Beauty Products I Simply Cannot Live Without
I've been an animal-lover for as long as I can remember. The first time I went vegan, in 2011, I purged my kitchen of all animal products because I couldn't bear the thought of my lifestyle harming any other living beings. I recently learned, though, that my makeup can be just as harmful to animals as my consumption of meat or dairy products.
Testing cosmetics on animals is, sadly, a common occurrence in today's world. In fact, in many countries it's illegal to sell products unless they've been tested on innocent animals. As we learn more about the horrors of animal testing, we're also lucky to see so many cruelty-free cosmetic brands emerge and offer products that are as conscious as they are beautiful.
As a makeup-lover and an animal-lover, I've looked long and hard for the best vegan beauty brands, and here's a roundup of my favorites, because looking gorgeous and being kind to all living beings are not mutually exclusive.
