Starbucks Debuts a Sweet Horchata Almond Milk Frap Just in Time For Fall
Starbucks is just about as ready for the Fall season as we are, if the new Frappuccino is anything to go by. Starting today, the Horchata Almondmilk Frappuccino will be available in the US and Canada. This new sweet treat blends Starbucks's almondmilk with cinnamon dolce syrup, coffee, and ice. It's then topped with whipped cream, of course, caramel, and cinnamon and sugar sprinkles. The spicy cinnamon just screams cool weather, if you ask us.
Starbucks drew inspiration for this new horchata beverage from the various iterations of the drink from around the world. Horchata, which is popular in Spain and Latin America - as well as the US now - is commonly made with almonds or rice and cinnamon. However, different regions customize the traditional drink in a huge variety of ways. Starbucks's spin on the drink can be added to the long list of the many ways to enjoy horchata, and we can't wait to try it.
