This Man Was Reprimanded For Wearing Makeup to Work - and He's NOT Having It

The man in this photo looks flawless. That should be the end of this story. Unfortunately, it isn't. Because this man claims that his manager asked him to remove his makeup just because he's a man. But as he posted in the Facebook group "Spotted Portsmouth," he's not having it, and neither are we.

According to the employee (who withheld his name from the group that covers news and events in Portsmouth, England), there is no official makeup policy at his office. He writes that, "A lot of my female colleagues wear a lot more makeup than I do." He's worked at the unidentified company for about eight months and has not run into any problems. In fact, he claims that a lot of people have actually complimented his looks. That all changed recently, when a new manager took over and asked this man to take off his makeup one morning.

Shocked, the man refused and alleged that he was then asked by management to "tone it down." He replied, "Excuse me? Tone it down? You can't tone down a masterpiece." Of course, that last comment has us all SCREAMING and will be our new response to absolutely everything from now on.

Although this story is disappointing, we're glad that this man had such a makeup-positive takeaway from all of it, writing, "But guess what? This is 2017, a time of year where we celebrate Pride throughout Summer and I look hella hot so deal with it! It's wrong to blatantly discriminate for whatever reason that may be."
