Trump Immediately Calls Out a Black CEO, but Took 3 Days to Say "Racism Is Evil"
It's undoubtedly clear what makes President Donald Trump angry enough to take to Twitter and send out fiery tweets: Hillary Clinton, the Morning Joe hosts, Senator Mitch McConnell, and a CEO resigning from his manufacturing council. The neo-Nazi and white supremacist march that left three dead in Charlottesville, VA? Not so much. Trump took to Twitter almost immediately after Kenneth C. Frazier, CEO of Merck, resigned from Trump's manufacturing council on Aug. 14, despite the fact that he would not address the events in Charlottesville until later that day.
Frazier tweeted out a statement on Aug. 14 explaining his decision to step down from the council. In it, he spoke about the country's strength in diversity and that he felt "a responsibility to take a stand against intolerance and extremism." You can read Frazier's full statement ahead.

Obama's Charlottesville Response Pays Homage to 1 of History's Greatest Civil Rights Leaders
The statement was posted to Twitter around 8 a.m. ET, and Trump tweeted out his response 54 minutes later, writing, "Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President's Manufacturing Council, he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!"

Frazier's resignation garnered a faster and stronger response than the events in Charlottesville, which Trump first blamed "both sides" for. He then later tweeted "So sad!" to mark the death of Heather Heyer, who died when a car drove into a crowd of counter-protesters. Trump has since spoken about the events in Charlottesville and finally said the magic line: "Racism is evil and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups."

It only took him three days to do so.
In the wake of Frazier's resignation, five other members have left the council as well.
- Kevin Plank, Under Armour CEO.
- Scott Paul, President of the Alliance for American Manufacturing.
- Richard Trumka and Thea Lee, President and Deputy Chief of Staff of AFL-CIO.
- Brian Krzanich, Intel CEO.
The president it appears, is not happy.
For every CEO that drops out of the Manufacturing Council, I have many to take their place. Grandstanders should not have gone on. JOBS!
