» Do Yourself a Favor and Get In on the Shimmer Spray Renaissance We Now Live In
As most style writers know, three makes a trend. So when one of my POPSUGAR colleagues saw the Pinrose Secret Genius Shimmer Mist hit my desk back in February, she crossed her fingers hoping similar sprays would follow suit.
It seemed likely: we live in the year 2018, or as it's known in the beauty world, 1998. Styles from the late '90s and mid-aughts are being brought back to life like some sort of low-rise, bootcut-jean-wearing zombie. And you know what? I am succumbing to this nostalgic nightmare-before-Coachella. If scrunchies and hair claws can be cool now, shimmer mist should have a seat at the sartorial table, too.
Perhaps in preparation for festival season, or just because glitter is fun, my colleague's prediction was correct: more brands released their own iterations. We have plateaued over the prerequisite three products. POPSUGAR is just going to go ahead and dub shimmer spray a thing (again). Read on to shop our favorites.
