Christina Aguilera Wants to Record a Song With Britney Spears, and Our Playlists Are READY

Christina Aguilera may have grown up in the pre-social-media era, but she knows exactly where it would've helped her: squashing alleged feuds. The 37-year-old singer stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Sept. 12 and talked about how certain platforms could've come in handy when rumors of her rivalry with Britney Spears were circling. But don't worry - Christina's far from mad. In fact, she's ready to record.

She explained that while privacy was valued when she was a young artist, there's an advantage to retaking control of your own narrative. "If this was back in the day, whenever people were comparing me to other artists and things were happening, I would've loved to squash it before having an interview," Christina said.

Of course, this led Jimmy to ask her which beef she meant specifically. Christina admitted the "rivalry" around her and Britney Spears might've been different had social media been involved. "If we'd had social media back then, we would've probably done a song together," she shared.

Well, let's make that dream a reality! Like Jimmy said, "It's not too late for that." Can you imagine the powerhouse single that could come from these two queens? Christina said she's "down," so the ball's in Britney's court. Maybe during a Mickey Mouse Club reunion these two can break out some vocals.
