» This Unexpected Makeup Trend Is Sweeping the Emmys - and It's Perfect
As all of TV's biggest stars arrived on the Emmys red carpet looking their best, one unconventional makeup trend became glaringly apparent: monochromatic makeup. While it might have once been considered taboo to match your eye shadow too closely to your clothes, in 2018, celebrities are embracing color. Many of your favorite stars showed up to the awards show with washes of color on their lids that matched their glam dresses.
Just take Issa Rae, who wore frosty blue shadow to complement her pastel dress, for example. Or how Mandy Moore's bronze eyes made her metallic dress stand out. The matchy-matchy look was one of the biggest of the night - see why we can't look away ahead.
