7 Times Christian Bale Completely Transformed For a Movie Role
Among Hollywood's A-listers, there are few actors who are as willing to throw themselves physically and mentally into a role as Christian Bale. The Welsh actor is famous for his intense roles and his remarkable ability to shape his body to the demands of any part, whether it's nearly starving himself down to a terrifying weight, bulking up for action scenes, putting on a bit of a belly, or becoming totally unrecognizable. There's apparently no physical challenge too great for Bale, which has resulted in some downright surprising appearances in films over the years.
