Looking to step away from a hectic day job, Heather of Dearly Threaded purchased a commercial embroidery machine, set up an Etsy shop, and never looked back. Although the Dearly Threaded Etsy shop lists fun dad hats and swoon-worthy tote bags, the 29-year-old creative, who is getting married in June, wanted to come up with a ton of listing ideas for brides-to-be like her. This is when her bestselling custom denim jackets were born.
"I started embroidery professionally in 2017 to be able to quit my draining job," Heather told POPSUGAR. "My custom denim jackets quickly became my bestseller. They're a cute prop for the wedding and a special keepsake after, which I love."
Heather's shop lists several denim jackets with design variations, but her "Mrs." jackets in particular, which showcase the bride-to-be's future last name, have been what's kept her working overtime in her embroidery studio. The jackets have been featured in her customers' engagement and wedding photos, and the reviews on the listings are glowing.
