Ready or Not, a New Trailer For Hilary Duff's The Haunting of Sharon Tate Is Here

I'm not sure what I was expecting to see when I pressed play on the trailer for The Haunting of Sharon Tate, but I certainly wasn't anticipating so many floral robes.
The film, which has been billed as a horror-thriller and stars Hilary Duff as the Hollywood actress, takes place in the weeks leading up to Tate's tragic murder in 1969 at the hands of Charles Manson's followers. Tate's husband, Roman Polanski, was away in Europe at the time, so her friends came to stay with her since she was eight-and-a-half months pregnant. Tate, Wojciech Frykowski, Folger's Coffee heiress Abigail Folger, and hairstylist Jay Sebring were all brutally killed, and the grisly event has become the subject of sick fascination for people ever since.
Now, The Haunting of Sharon Tate is here to reimagine what might've happened had Tate been haunted by premonitions of her and her friends getting murdered by a satanic cult. (For what it's worth, Deadline reported that the movie was inspired by a quote from the actress, who said she was "having dreams about ghosts haunting her house and foreseeing her own death at the hands of a satanic cult.") The trailer sees Duff attempting to mimic Tate's accent, and spouting lines of dialogue like, "I guess you could say I live in a fairy tale, looking at everything through rose-colored glasses." It's . . . well, it's definitely something.
Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls) and Lydia Hearst (Z Nation) also star in the film, which Tate's sister has since described as "classless," "exploitative," and "tacky, tacky, tacky." Welp, here's hoping Quentin Tarantino's film about the murders fares a little better?
