Why Hailey Baldwin Initially Hesitated to Take Justin Bieber's Last Name
Hailey Baldwin may have officially taken husband Justin Bieber's last name, but it wasn't an easy thing for her to do. "It took some getting used to, for sure," Hailey recently told Bustle. "It's definitely strange, it takes adjusting." The 22-year-old model initially hesitated to drop her famous last name because of its connection to her family. Hailey's dad is actor Stephen Baldwin, the youngest of the four Baldwin brothers following Alec, Daniel, and William. "I'm very proud of my family name," Hailey explained. "I come from a great family with a history in this industry. I remember when I was going to change it, I asked my dad if he was going to be upset and he was like, 'No! I don't care. We love you. All good. Everyone still knows you're a Baldwin.'"
Hailey and Justin secretly tied the knot in an NYC courthouse this past September. "I prayed to feel peace about the decision, and that's where I landed," Hailey recently told Vogue about her decision to marry Justin. "I love him very much. I have loved him for a long time." Of course, she's not the only celebrity newlywed to change her last name - Priyanka Chopra and Miley Cyrus recently did it, too!
