All Hail Cardi B, Reigning Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, and Her Cranberry Cat Eye
Cardi B wasn't able to accept her award for most incredible human, I mean, best hip-hop artist of the year in person at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Instead, she prerecorded a speech in which she had on a multidimensional, hyperopaque cranberry cat eye.
To create the look, makeup artist Erika La Pearl used the tips of her fingers to apply shades from Morphe The James Charles Palette. "I find it better than using a brush," she said. She applied shades Escape (a matte plum purple) and Single (a matte orchid) from the outside to the inner corner of her eye. Then, La Pearl swept on Code (a matte sunset orange) over the entire eye before applying Skip (a neon pink) toward the center of the eye. She finished the look with Bee (a matte bright yellow).
She then used complexion products by Iconic London and Morphe: the Iconic London Strobing Stick ($35) to contour Cardi's face, a swipe of highlight from the Iconic London Loose Pigment Palette ($62), and the full-coverage Morphe Fluidity Foundation ($18).
