Meet Me at the End of the Rainbow! Krispy Kreme's Selling Green Doughnuts For St. Patrick's Day
Krispy Kreme is about to go green again. In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, the coffee and doughnut chain announced on March 7 that it's bringing back the green O'riginal Glazed Doughnut (see what it did there?) for not one but THREE whole days. From March 15 through March 17, customers can visit any participating Krispy Kreme location across the US to get their hands on the doughnut, which is basically just the chain's most popular glazed doughnut made with a "specially formulated green dough."
The fun won't stop there. In the spirit of the lucky holiday, Krispy Kreme is giving customers at each location the opportunity to win a "Golden Dozen Pass," à la Willy Wonka, which will allow winners to receive a dozen free original glazed doughnuts once a month for an entire year. And don't count yourself out if there's no Krispy Kreme near you - if you're not in close proximity to a restaurant, you can make things easier on yourself by entering the giveaway via mail. Win or lose, this one sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.
