» These Latinas Are Proudly and Unapologetically Taking 2019
Between last Fall's midterm elections (which saw an outstanding number of women and particularly diverse women elected to congress) and this year's Oscars and Grammy Awards, where women were definitely front and center as winners and performers, it's no surprise that 2019 is shaping up to be the year when Latina women take their freaking rightful place: in the spotlight, showing how awesome we can all be, and that no matter what anyone tells you, the color of your skin shouldn't stand in the way of your goals.
While we're still far from equal representation in most avenues, space is finally being given to Latina women in areas including politics, fashion, entertainment, science, and sports. The women in this list are just a small group of all the Latinas out there serving major inspiration to pursue your dreams in this country and around the world.
