This Cat Trying to Get a Stoic Dog's Attention Is the Cutest Act of Desperation

I'm definitely a cuddler, but even I have my limits, which is why, upon viewing this viral video of a cat desperately trying to snuggle up to a dog who is not interested whatsoever, I completely related to both animals simultaneously. First, there's the cat, reaching up to rub faces with the Great Dane while making unrequited attempts at eye contact. This level of neediness is something akin to me during Game of Thrones, trying to snuggle up on the couch with my husband who refuses to divert his eyes from the screen for even a second. And yet, as I look at that dog, doing its darn best to be left alone, it reminds me of myself at roughly 5 a.m. most mornings, when my wide-awake kids come ambling to my bedside trying to stir me to consciousness with head-nuzzles and creepily long stares.
Whoever you are - the eager cat or the apathetic dog - at any given moment, this one's for you.
