Adele Seemingly References Her Recent Separation With a Very Personal Meme

Imagine being Adele: Academy Award-winner, recipient of 15 Grammys, widely adored by the world - yes, that Adele. It seems the singer needed to be reminded of her icon status, because she recently shared a meme of herself in two very different states with the caption, "When you catch yourself in your feelings then you remember who you are." In the photo on the left, Adele is shown crying while accepting an award at the 2012 Grammys - one of six awards her album 21 would earn that night, by the way - and on the right, she's rapping Nicki Minaj's "Monster" during a session of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.
Though obviously joking in nature, the meme does come shortly after Adele and Simon Konecki announced their separation after two years of marriage on April 19. While we don't want to speculate, if she is indeed catching herself in her feelings, then we're glad she's found this confident coping mechanism. She is freaking Adele, after all!
