Disney Fans, I'm Obsessed With This "Magic" Highlighter, and You Will Be Too
Today, you can see Disney's Aladdin in theaters, and should you wish, you can glow for the genie as well. MAC Cosmetics launched the Aladdin Collection to celebrate the live-action version of the animated classic, and ahead of the premiere, the brand invited us to the celebratory bash at Walt Disney World in Orlando, where we were one of the first 150 people to see the collection in person and try it for ourselves.
Ahead of the party, MAC Director of Makeup Artistry Gregory Arlt discussed what makes this collaboration different than others - MAC is no stranger to partnerships. He said that not only does the collection truly embody MAC's credo of all races, all ages, all genders, but that consumers will notice the products' textures are super creamy and blend beautifully.
The collection includes four lipsticks, three glosses, a crystal glaze, two powder blushes, an eye shadow palette, sparkle pigment, and kohl liner. Diving into the products, I initially gravitated toward the nine-shade shadow palette, which is full of cool purple tones with holographic shifts, matte shades, and shimmers, but the product that actually ended up becoming the sultan of my heart (I can't help myself) was the One Jump Ahead highlighter. It's a powder, but it has a buttery texture to it - you can apply with your fingertips or a brush to create a luminescent sheen to the skin.
