This New Preroasted Sweet Potato Toast Is Your Blank Canvas For a Gluten-Free Masterpiece

Sure, you can use gluten-free bread for avocado toast if you're allergic to gluten. But, there are additional alternatives, like superfirm tofu (trust us, it's good) and, if you want a soy-free option, sweet potatoes. Instead of going through all that peeling, slicing, and cooking though, how about heading straight to the toaster? We spotted Sweet PotaToasts, preroasted and frozen slices that you can simply heat for a few minutes and top with whatever spread you can think of! That's the fun of it.

Sweet PotaToasts, from the creators of Caulipower cauliflower pizzas, launched in November 2018 and come in Original and Sea Salt & Olive Oil flavors. They have three grams of fiber per serving, and these superfood slices are made from a single ingredient (sweet potato, obviously) - plus sea salt and olive oil for that second flavor. They're already available in over 2,200 stores, including Target, ShopRite, Sprouts, and Wegmans, a spokesperson told POPSUGAR. Expect to find them in Walmart this coming August, too. The average retail price is typically $7 per pack.

You don't have to stop at avocado toast; since these are a bread replacement, how about some lunchtime PB&J or some hazelnut spread and fresh berries for dessert? Get creative! Check out more cooking instructions on the Sweet PotaToasts website. Ahead, you'll find the nutrition information for the two Sweet PotaToasts flavors and inspiration for toppings. Go get that bread (sort of).
