Will Smith Shared Advice, Praise, and Birthday Shots With Jaden on His 21st Birthday

Jaden Smith turned 21 on July 8, and dad Will Smith could not have been more proud. During a family celebration in Malibu, the father of three delivered a heartfelt speech for his middle child - complete with birthday tequila shots. Surrounded by his wife Jada, their 18-year-old daughter Willow, and his oldest son, Trey, 26, Will joked about Jaden's future, but also praised him for the type of person he has become.

"Here's to getting you off of my insurance. Here's to paying your own bills. The accountants are transferring your stuff first thing tomorrow morning," Will joked, adding humor to an otherwise sentimental speech.

"I'm really proud of you, just the way that you've grown in the past few years is what parents hope for," Will said. "You take it seriously to contribute to the human family. You just make us proud every single day. So, here's to your 21st birthday today, and here's to you being a full grown man."

Jaden certainly exemplified his father's compliments when he fed the homeless free, healthy food on his birthday last week. His efforts were praised by fellow celebrities, and it's clear that his parents noticed his good deeds, as well.
