How to Make Crispy Crust Without a Pizza Stone

Although I've always wanted a pizza stone, I simply can't justify buying one. Sure, I make pizza on a regular basis, but I have a small kitchen and limited budget. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying supercrispy pizza crust! If you're in the same boat, check out my technique for ensuring that the crust is thin and crunchy every time even without a pizza stone.
- Before you start to prep any of the pizza ingredients, preheat the oven to 500°F and place a large baking sheet in the oven.
- Roll out the pizza dough as thin as possible, shaping it to fit on the baking sheet.
- Once the baking sheet has been in the oven for at least 15 minutes, remove with a pot holder. Drizzle with olive oil and turn to coat the whole sheet.
- Transfer the dough to the prepared sheet, and cover with toppings. Bake immediately for 12-15 minutes until the crust is browned and the cheese is nicely melted.
