If Selena Gomez and Avril Lavigne Made a Song, It Would Be This Acoustic "Boyfriend" Cover
As a tribute to Selena Gomez's newest album Rare (one of the artist's most open and sincere records to date), mononymous YouTube user Katia recently sat down to perform a raw acoustic cover of "Boyfriend" that we think Gomez would be proud of. The impassioned cover injects every lyric with heartfelt emotion and transforms the song into an upbeat heartbreak anthem with all of Gomez's meaningful lyrics and a dash of Avril Lavigne's passionate angst. While most of the song is melodic and hopeful, the powerful chorus hammers home the song's relatable message and has us singing along until the end. Watch the amazing performance above.
