If you're considering dressing up as a character from Game of Thrones for Halloween, you might want to consider the members of House Targaryen. Giada De Laurentiis Reveals the 1 Surprising Ingredient She Adds to Pasta

Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis is known for celebrating her Italian heritage through her cooking. So naturally, she was the perfect woman to host the New York Wine and Food Festival's Italian Table event in New York City. I caught up with her inside the Giada Vegas booth to chat about pasta, the importance of learning how to cook "lemon spaghetti" (which somehow sounds so much more enticing when she says it with her Italian accent), and the basic supplies to keep stocked for quality Italian fare. Giada's booth was swarmed with crowds all night long, where she was busy personally handing out her delicious muffuletta sandwich to throngs of devoted fans. Seriously, I'll be thinking about that sandwich for at least the rest of the week.

On the 1 Surprising Ingredient She Adds to Pasta
"Chocolate! Short rib with chocolate. I'm actually making it tomorrow night for dinner."
On the 5 Staples She Thinks Everybody Should Keep Stocked in Their Pantry
"Pasta, jarred tomato sauce, whatever kind you like. I like Rao's or Mutti, but Mutti is harder to find. Garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes."
On Her Favorite Go-To Breakfast on Busy Days
"I do brown rice, with olive oil and salt. I like a carb for breakfast, and I like a savory breakfast. If you start your day with sugar, you're jacked for the rest of the day. I get up really early in the morning, so I need a carbohydrate. So I'll do 1/4 cup of brown rice, with warm olive oil and salt. At my restaurant I do oatmeal, olive oil, salt, and marcona almonds for protein."
Kate Middleton's Latest Updo Is a Totally '90s Throwback Trend
Kate Middleton is bringing back one of our favorite '90s hairstyles: the Topsy Tail ponytail. This features an inverted ponytail (it looks as if the base is looped inside of itself or flipped in) using a tool called the Topsy Tail ($5).
Kate rocked her take on it with a side part and a loose, low ponytail. It has a romantic feel and is an elegant idea for brides and 'maids.
If you want to learn more updated styles featuring the Topsy Tail, read this tutorial.

Kate Middleton Joins Prince William in Manchester After Her First-Ever Solo Tour
It's been a busy month for Kate Middleton! After returning from her first-ever solo tour in the Netherlands on Tuesday, she joined Prince William for a visit to Manchester, England on Friday morning. The royal pair were all smiles as they greeted people outside of the National Football Museum, where some members of the crowd were wearing hilariously frightening paper masks of the Duke and Duchess, Queen Elizabeth, and Camilla Parker Bowles. While inside the museum, William showed off his soccer skills in a simulator, which he no doubt aced thanks to all the times he's played with brother Prince Harry.
Later on, Kate and William made their way to the National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester, where Kate laughed and looked on in her checked Erdem coat as her husband squeezed into a BAC "Mono" Car. Maybe his grandmother can learn to drive that next? In addition to Kate's tour of the Netherlands, the trip to Manchester comes hot on the heels of William and Kate's recent trip to Canada with their adorable children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. 2016 is only a few months away from coming to a close, but hopefully the royal family has plenty more fun events in store.

Do These 6 Things on Sunday to Lose Weight All Week Long
You know you should be eating right and exercising all week to reach your weight-loss goals, but when you're so rushed between work and family responsibilities, it's tough to have time to make it happen. A little planning goes a long way, so here are some things you can do on Sunday to ensure you stay on a healthy path all week long.
Plan Your Workouts
Don't just think to yourself that you'll squeeze in a run here and a trip to the gym there - plan it out. Sit down with your weekly calendar and jot down every workout just as you would doctor's appointments and meetings. Use this time to call your fitness buddy or trainer to make dates, check out studio schedules to find classes you want to take, and check the week's weather to figure out which days will be best for outdoor workouts.
6 Moves + 100 Reps = the Best Booty Burn of Your Life
Hit the Hamper
Nothing puts a damper on a workout more than not being able to find a clean sports bra, so do a couple loads before Monday, making sure you have everything you need, from your running tights to yoga tops to the towel you use to wipe sweat from your brow. Lay out your outfits for each day's workout so you're not running around the house Tuesday morning trying to find your missing sock.
Gather Your Gear
Collect whatever you need to work out - a yoga mat, sneakers, or earbuds - and make sure everything is set so you can easily grab the items throughout the week. Pack your gym bag, and put it by the door or in your car so you won't forget it when you leave for the day. If you exercise at home, put your favorite fitness video in the DVD player and lay out your dumbbells and resistance band. Sunday is also a great time to make a couple new playlists to inspire your kick-ass workouts (if you don't have time, subscribe to our workout playlists on Spotify).

Plan Your Meals and Snacks
Sit down and write out a weekly eating plan including all meals and snacks for the week. If you need a little inspiration, check out these healthy recipes. After making out a grocery list to include everything you'll need to whip them up, hit the health food store and stock up for the week. Since produce is best enjoyed within a few days of purchasing, note what fruits and veggies you'll want to pick up halfway through the week.
Make things even easier by prepping in advance: wash, cut, and store veggies to be used in dinner recipes, cut up fruit for smoothies or snacks, and cook up some whole grains and store them in the fridge. Cook some of these make-ahead breakfasts in advance, like a week of overnight oats, or turn on the crockpot to make something you can eat a few nights that week, like these under-400-calorie meals.
What I Do on Sunday to Stay Healthy All Week Long
Pack It Up
If you'll be away from home during the day, cut down on the temptation to go out to lunch or grab a cookie by packing lunches and snacks from home. Making five salads for the week is easy and healthy, or you can whip up a big pot of soup and freeze small portions in glass containers to grab for lunch. Also set aside 10 snacks for the week (two per day), such as Greek yogurt, cheese sticks, and containers of carrots and hummus, or measure out 100-calorie portions of trail mix, whole-grain crackers, or cereal. It'll probably take about an hour to get it all ready, but it'll end up saving you time during the rest of the week.
Hit the Hay
Once everything is all set, take a nice hot bath, slip on your PJs, and hop into bed early. Unwind with an evening yoga sequence or a calming book, and you're more likely to have a good night's sleep and wake up refreshed for the week ahead.

If you've ever gotten lost on blogger Blair Eadie's Instagram feed, scrolling through feminine outfits and wishing you owned them all, you're not alone. So when we had the chance to chat with Blair about her partnership with Barbour - an opportunity, she admits, she was "flattered" by, since she admires the outerwear and accessories brand so much - we had to ask her: did she have any organizing tips or tricks to share? Her answer, ahead, was the last thing we expected, as she revealed a tidy home is probably a big misconception when it comes to fashion influencers. Read on for a description of what her space actually looks like, and be prepared to laugh a little and relate.

Sarah Jessica Parker Just Swooped In and Stole This Look Off the Runway
When we first saw Rodarte's Spring '17 collection take the runway, we knew those edgy-meets-feminine designs would be a big hit. But we never expected for not one, not two, but three stars to be rocking them within weeks after their debut. But that's not the only line that's proven full of hot commodities.
Sarah Jessica Parker just wore Prabal Gurung's new piece, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian played dress up in Balmain right after the collection's debut, and Gigi Hadid hit up a party with Adam Selman, wearing the designer's latest slinky mini. Even Hollywood's newest It girl, Haley Bennett, attended The Girl on the Train premiere in an Altuzarra design that was fresh off the runway.
It's been mere moments since these pieces hit the catwalk, but that doesn't stop these ladies from wearing them and simultaneously proving that clothes are becoming seasonless, ready to wear at a moment's notice. Read on to see all the buzziest looks right now, then check back to see which star gets the honorable fashion nod next.

How Your Favorite Chefs Make Flan
When it comes to desserts, flan, like cake, is one that deserves a category all on its own. Although often labor-intensive, it's a treat that many agree is truly worth the wait. A rich and filling take on custard, the jiggly sweet is a staple across Latin America, prompting many chefs to put their own spin on the classic to make a recipe truly their own. Here are five ways your favorite Latino kitchen whizzes are whipping up delicious flan.
Roberto Santibañez: Simple and Straightforward
Robert Santibañez knows that sometimes it's best to keep a simple take when putting a spin on a classic dessert. His flan recipe is still a comforting eggy-based one with a smooth caramel topping and a light touch of cinnamon and citrus. In addition to the usual suspects of cream, sugar, and eggs, Santibañez's recipe includes lime juice, lime and orange zest, and Mexican cinnamon for an added kick.
Jose Garces: With Vanilla and Orange
Jose Garces's thick and creamy vanilla orange flan is a longtime family recipe, with unique ingredients to boot. Featuring melon, basil, olive oil, and salt, this one is sure to be a crowd-pleaser if served alongside fruit or a salad.
Chef Pépin: With Kahlúa and Coffee
Chef Pépin's Kahlúa and coffee flan is sure to be favored by java addicts. Made with the famed liqueur, decaf coffee, and espresso, this one-of-a-kind recipe will leave you happily buzzed.
Marcela Valladolid: Chocolate-Based
Marcela Valladolid's chocoflan recipe is sure to procure some newfound flan-lovers who are normally chocolate loyalists. This flan and cocoa hybrid involves mixing and baking two separate batters that are later married into one fabulous dessert garnished with cajeta (a thick caramel sauce) and pecans.
Ingrid Hoffman: Cheesecake-Inspired
Ingrid Hoffman's cheesecake flan is definitely for those who love a rich and creamy dessert. Similar to traditional cheesecake, this recipe can be stored and refrigerated for up to three days before serving at the perfect consistency. It is also best prepared in individual ramekins.

J.K. Rowling Says This Theory About Draco Malfoy Isn't True but We're Skeptical
Most Harry Potter fans can agree that Draco Malfoy is a bully who deserves zero sympathy from anyone. While most of his behavior is inexcusable, one theory about the sixth and seventh books might make you reconsider your thoughts on Draco and the Malfoy family. The theory suggests that as a form of punishment ordered by Voldemort, Draco was bitten and became a werewolf.
This isn't a new theory, but recently resurfaced in an Imgur post and still exists on the website Draco Malfoy Is a Werewolf. It states that Draco was bitten by Fenrir Greyback after Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix takes place because of Lucius' mistakes. Lucius failed to retrieve the prophecy and previously let one of Voldemort's horcruxes get destroyed in the second book. As Remus Lupin shares in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Greyback is often used by Voldemort to punish his enemies by letting him bite children and turn them into werewolves. In the same book, Harry starts to notice how pale and different Draco acts. He presumes to think it's because Draco is now a death eater, but with the theory in mind, it's actually because he's a werewolf. It's also why Draco has a close relationship with Severus Snape, as only he could brew the Wolfsbane potion for Draco.
Since Draco was no longer a true pure-blood, it also explains why the Malfoy's end up betraying Voldemort in the last book and leaving him behind. They could no longer abide by and fight for pure-bloods because of Draco, so they saw no reason to continue supporting Voldemort.
Though this theory is severely convincing, J.K. Rowling took to Twitter to dispel it in 2015. Someone tweeted at Rowling the question of whether Draco was a werewolf and Rowling said she hadn't seen it - and that it wasn't true. You can see it below.
I've never seen that one before. Draco definitely isn't a werewolf (and Snape's not a vampire). https://t.co/TSliADJvyi
- J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 2, 2015
Even though Rowling has essentially shut down this theory, we're still hoping it was true. It would make up for Draco's attitude towards Harry and everyone else.

Why Parents Should Stop Using Homeopathic Teething Tablets and Gels Immediately
The Food and Drug Administration is alerting parents about using homeopathic teething tablets and gels after it found a notable link between the products and the deaths of 10 small children. In a press release, the FDA warned parents to dispose of any homeopathic teething tablets and gels, specifically those made by CVS and Hyland's.
The FDA is still investigating how exactly these teething products may have been related to the deaths, which have occurred over the past six years. They did, however, state that the tablets and gels often led to seizures in infants and children.
In 2010, the FDA consulted the Standard Homeopathic Company, which then voluntarily recalled the same Hyland's tablets after they were linked to high levels of belladonna toxicity. Since then, however, Hyland's made changes to the product.
A director of the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Janet Woodcock, said, "Teething can be managed without prescription or over-the-counter remedies," adding, "We recommend parents and caregivers not give homeopathic teething tablets and gels to children and seek advice from their health care professional for safe alternatives."
As the investigation continues, it's recommended that parents avoid these products at all costs and seek medical care if they have used these products and their child experiences difficulty breathing, seizures, agitation, and other symptoms listed in the press release.
Could This Heartbreaking Harry Potter Theory Explain Hogwarts Class Sizes?
A question that comes up often in Harry Potter fan circles is about the size of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. JK Rowling describes the magical institution as one of Europe's largest, with hundreds of students attending every school year. But, as book readers are well aware, the series's namesake character seems to have very few classmates, a mere handful of boys and girls in Gryffindor, with similarly scant enrollment of Harry's grade level in Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.
Well, one Tumblr user has come up with a theory for why Harry Potter's grade level is so small.
This theory, though heartbreaking considering its implications, has been parroted across Reddit and other fan blogs. It makes sense, right? Given that Harry's parents were killed when he was only 15 months old, it would explain tiny class sizes immediately surrounding Harry's year - Voldemort was at his peak leading up to and immediately following Harry's birth. Understandably, couples likely avoided conceiving during such terrifying times, with only a few brave wizards in Britain deciding to procreate despite the horrors of Voldemort's reign.
This sort of wartime fear surrounding major life events is a common theme in the Harry Potter series. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Molly Weasley explains that she and Arthur married young because everybody did during Voldemort's rise to power - they didn't know how much time they had left. And her son Ron justifies kissing Hermione during the Battle of Hogwarts for a similar reason.
"Is this the moment?" Harry asked weakly, and when nothing happened except that Ron and Hermione gripped each other still more firmly and swayed on the spot, he raised his voice. "Oi! There's a war going on here!"
Ron and Hermione broke apart, their arms still around each other.
"I know, mate," said Ron, who looked as though he had recently been hit on the back of the head with a Bludger, "So it's now or never, isn't it?"
So next time you're wondering why you only ever hear about a handful of Hogwarts students in Harry's grade level, understand that they're the few whose parents were brave (or foolish) enough to bring babies into the world during the reign of a complete monster.

How to Deal With and Prevent a Painful Piercing Infection
As a full-blown skin-care junkie, one who keeps a stack of index cards filled with the names of ingredients and their benefits next to her bed, I have an embarrassing admission to make. I almost landed myself in the emergency room because I failed to recognize that two of my piercings had become badly infected. I'd never had cartilage piercings before so I thought it was normal to wake up to pain and discomfort five months after the fact. Did I question why they were still bleeding every time I cleaned them? Yes. But not as much as I should have, and trust me, I should have.
Luckily, I happened to have an appointment at Russak + Aesthetic Center for a Skinscope LED session. While talking with my esthetician, Meredith, she immediately noticed my piercings (in my upper ear) were a mess. She called in Dr. Russak and it was official - I was in need of some serious treatment. I quickly learned that had it not been for Dr. Russak and her team, I may have ended up in the hospital.
To help others avoid this painful debacle I spoke to Dr. Russak to bring you everything you need to know about how to care for piercings, how to tell if they've become infected, and what to do if you find yourself in a similar situation.

This Magical Urban Decay Halloween DIY Is Basically a #TeamUnicorn Recruitment Video
Leave it to the rainbow-beauty-loving goddesses behind Urban Decay to convince us to go full unicorn this Halloween. In a viral Facebook video, the company joined the beauty forces of YouTube personality Kristen Leanne and brand global artist Amanda Rodriguez for a casual (but badass) Halloween makeup tutorial.
Instead of sitting posted up in front of a camera and a ring light, the two sat side by side as they got glam, taking inspiration from one another and cracking jokes - just like you might get ready with a best friend before a big night out.
Amanda used Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner ($22) in Perversion, Gold Rush, and Chaos to create a magnificent, winged cat eye and vibrant tear drops. Kristen opted to use the Urban Decay Electric Palette ($49) and filled in her brows with the punchy purple Urban shade. The pair even got the help of Firefly Path, an Etsy shop that specializes in making circlets, aka. fancy unicorn horns.
"It takes a village to become a unicorn," remarked Amanda. "Or f*cktons of glitter," noted Kristen. Watch the video to get inspired for Oct. 31.
6 Pilates Moves You Can Do at Home Without Needing a Reformer
We know that the lower abs are a pesky area to tone and target for building strength - so often we're feeling the burn, but it's only in the upper abdominal area! We asked Lisa Hirsch, founder and CEO of The Studio (MDR) in Los Angeles, to teach us a thing or two about lower ab moves.
Since she's an expert in the popular Lagree Method - a new style of reformer class using a Megaformer machine - she knows all about working the abs in a serious way (and trust me, I took a Studio (MDR) class and my abs were FEELING it).
Lisa knows that not everyone lives near a Megaformer studio, so she shared six moves you can do anywhere "to keep those tummies tight!" These are some the favorite moves from The Studio (MDR) modified to be done on the floor using either slider discs or replacements like towels, paper plates, or furniture sliders to mimic the machine.
She also told us to "keep in mind that all of these moves are done very slowly in order to be effective. The Lagree Method is all about slow and controlled movements to activate the slow-twitch, fat-burning muscles fibers."
Ready to get started? Let's work that core! Here are the directions, directly from Lisa herself - it's like a private class at home whenever you want.

Fixer Upper Star Joanna Gaines Reveals Chip's Celebrity Man Crush - and He's Probably Yours, Too
Joanna Gaines has been making the rounds to promote her new Matilda Jane girls' clothing collection, and during an interview with ET this week, the subject turned to celebrities. During the chat, the Fixer Upper star revealed her husband Chip's famous man crush. "Chip loves Ryan Reynolds. I'm sure he has a man crush on him. He likes to go back and forth with Scott Foley," Joanna said, adding, "There are a few people every now and then I will hear him gasp, 'Look who just tweeted me.' It still doesn't feel real. We are just Chip and Joanna in Waco, TX."

All the Details on Billy Bush's Suspension From the Today Show
Last week, a horrifying, troubling video from 2005 put Donald Trump's entire presidential campaign in jeopardy, and for good reason. The clip depicts a conversation between Trump and then-Access Hollywood host Billy Bush; the two men talk crudely about objectifying women, grabbing their genitals, and making unwanted sexual advances. While Trump obviously had to deal with the issue - it was, in fact, awkwardly addressed during Sunday's second presidential debate - Billy Bush was not exempt from media scrutiny. Billy had only just joined Today as an anchor in May 2016, but the now-infamous video may have permanently dented his career. We're breaking down Billy's side of the timeline, from Friday's video leak to Monday's massive fallout.
- A crude, taped conversation between Donald Trump and Billy Bush surfaces. On Friday, Oct. 7, The Washington Post obtained and released a 2005 video featuring Donald Trump and Billy Bush. At the time, Billy was a host for Access Hollywood. In the clip, Donald talks about women, saying he had the freedom to "grab them by the p*ssy" because he's a well-known star.
- Billy releases a statement apologizing for his behavior. On the same day, Billy addressed the video in a personal statement: "Obviously I'm embarrassed and ashamed. It's no excuse, but this happened 11 years ago. I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along. I'm very sorry."
- Trump also releases an apology. Late, late Friday night, Donald Trump released his own video statement addressing the controversy. "This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago," he said. "Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course, not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended."
- NBC and Billy Bush plan to address the issue on air. On Sunday, a source at NBC said Billy Bush would make a live statement about the tape on Monday's Today show. "The plan is for him to have a chance to apologize," the source said.
- NBC decides to suspend Billy Bush after reconsideration. Later on Sunday, NBC suspended Billy Bush indefinitely. According to the report from E! Online, an internal email read, "I know we've been deeply troubled by the revelations of the past 48 hours. Let me be clear - there is simply no excuse for Billy's language and behavior on that tape. NBC has decided to suspend Billy, pending further review of this matter."
- NBC's anchors address Billy's absence. During Monday's show, Today's various anchors made brief mentions of Billy's absence. Early on in the show, Savannah Guthrie commented on the state of the situation: "We want to note one other thing, pending further review of the matter, NBC News has suspended Billy Bush, host of Today's third hour, for his role in that conversation with Donald Trump." The issue emerged again, later on. "As you can see, Billy Bush is not here joining us today," Al Roker said, "as you're probably aware, part of that 2005 Access Hollywood taping with Trump that's been in the news all week." Al's coanchor, Tamron Hall, added, "NBC, which owns Access Hollywood, has suspended Billy for his role in that conversation pending further review."
- Billy Bush is reportedly devastated. According to Us Weekly, the situation has emotionally wrecked Billy Bush. A source revealed, "Billy was devastated and crying when the leaked tape of him with Donald Trump in 2005 was first leaked to The Washington Post. He was crying that his career was over."
- Carson Daly fills in for Billy on the Today show. On Oct. 10, NBC announced that Carson, who serves as Today's social media correspondent, would be cohosting the show's 9 a.m. hour with Tamron Hall. He began on Oct. 11, and his temporary position will likely continue until Bush's suspension is over.
- NBC may have to pay out the rest of Billy's contract. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC and Billy Bush have begun negotiating Billy Bush's exit. The network may agree to pay out the rest of his contract, which is worth close to $3 million annually. Conversely, if they try to fire him for the footage, things could go south. It's worth noting that sources say Billy had been talking about the 2005 conversation since August, so it's very possible the network was widely aware of the tape internally.
- Dancing With the Stars might be courting Billy Bush. According to Page Six, ABC may be trying to wrangle Billy Bush for its Spring 2017 season. Seeing as Ryan Lochte joined the season 23 cast in the wake of his Rio robbery drama, it's clear the competition is a solid step in public image rehabilitation.
We will update with further details as they become available.

We did the research and uncovered more times they made similar fashion moves, keeping sophistication in mind. Read on to see them all.
