Ryan Reynolds Gets Roasted by His Bitter Twin Brother in an LOL-Worthy Interview
Ryan Reynolds was named GQ's Man of the Year, and in addition to a smoking-hot cover photo and heartfelt profile, the 40-year-old Deadpool star allowed himself to be interviewed for the magazine by his twin brother, Gordon Reynolds (what, you didn't know Ryan had a twin?). The objectively savage Gordon didn't pull any punches when it came to firing off questions for his brother - including "How many times have you met your children?" and "Why such a c*nt?" - and lobbed subtle yet scathing insults at him, calling Ryan's wife, Blake Lively, his "beard" and saying, "I'm so bored right now I don't even know if I'm peeing." Watch the video now, which includes a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo from another huge Hollywood actor.

This Hilarious Parody Will Help You Navigate a Politics-Free Family Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving can be stressful enough without history's most contentious election taking place a mere two weeks earlier. If you're prepping the green bean casserole while simultaneously worrying about how you and your kids will survive the day surrounded by extended family with vastly differing viewpoints, the Holderness family has some sage advice.
The adorable parents and kiddos behind our favorite viral parody videos have released a video to the tune of Flo Rida's "My House." In "Welcome to My Couch," Penn and Kim sing about a home divided, showing one family member supporting Donald Trump ("you made turkey great again!") and another proudly wearing an "I'm With Her" pin.
"Drink away your feelings, cheer at all the touchdowns, and suppress your anger," they advise. And if that's not enough, to keep cousin Bill from persuading your kids, the Holderness clan came up with a handy checklist of non-election topics to discuss:
- Brangelina – what happened there?
- Pluto's no longer a planet. That's messed up!
- The iPhone 7 doesn't have a headphone jack. What are we going to do about it?!
And if the catchy song still doesn't inspire you, the last 30 seconds of the video is an adorable montage of dogs and cats snuggling and kids hugging: "If brothers and sisters can dance together without punching each other, maybe we can all get along just for this one day."

7 Ways to Ensure Your Dog Has a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving
Guests may want to show your pup some love by slipping a bite or two beneath the table, but lots of festive fare is laced with ingredients that are toxic to dogs. Onions and garlic in your stuffing or potatoes can damage your pup's red blood cells. The raisins in that sweet potato casserole can cause kidney failure. A host of other foods can be detrimental to your dog's health. The easiest way to avoid harm is by maintaining a strict no-feeding policy among guests, or keep your dog out of the dining room and kitchen.
To ensure your dog has a save and happy Thanksgiving, follow these tips:
1. Avoid rich foods and overindulgence.
Like their human counterparts, dogs tend to eat too much at the holidays. And fatty foods wreak havoc on the canine digestive system.
"Dogs do not deal well with any foods that have high fat content, like gravy, or that are very sweet, spicy, rich," says veterinarian Dr. Holly Cheever of New York's The Village Animal Clinic. "Desserts, sweet potato casseroles, and so forth" contribute to a host of ill effects, from gastrointestinal disease to pancreatitis.
The best thing to feed your dog if you must share your feast? A piece of white meat without stuffing or gravy. Small portions only!
And keep tempting items like cooling pies or hors d'oeuvres well out of snout's reach.
2. Keep tempting non-edibles out of reach.
If you've already decked the halls in holiday finery, bear in mind that many dogs are adventurous eaters. From wrappers, twists and ties on foods to pretty baubles used in centerpieces, some dogs will try to chow on anything.
"Dogs are very curious of shiny things," says veterinarian Dr. Linda Knox of Palomar Animal Hospital in Vista, Calif. "When they ingest those things, they can become obstructed," requiring medical attention.
Keep décor out of reach when possible, and keep a close eye on Fido.
3. Keep your kitchen hazard free.
Dogs and crowded kitchens simply don't mix. A pooch underfoot is a tripping hazard. Combined with heavy dishes and scalding liquids, it's a recipe for disaster.
"Ideally, have one human in charge of the dog/cat who is in food prep area," says Dr. Cheever. "Or better, exclude pets from this area!" Bonus: Keeping your pup out of the kitchen reduces the risk of fur in your food.
4. Be aware of socialization issues.
For some dogs, a houseful of unfamiliar people causes great anxiety. If your dog is fearful of guests, give him a quiet place to hang out till the ruckus has ended, ideally with a biscuit to gnaw at and some fun, engaging toys to keep him occupied.
If you're worried about his coping skills, says Dr. Cheever, "speak to your veterinarian about mild anti-anxiety aids, like pheromone collars, mild natural tranquilizers or Thunder Shirts."
5. Keep your dog out of the cold.
If you're celebrating in tight quarters, having a dog inside can become a nuisance. But in cold climates, leaving your pup in the yard is not a viable option. Just like people, dogs are susceptible to hypothermia and frostbite. For pooches who just seem to freak out in the flurry of activity, a safe space like a crate or gated area may be a good solution.
6. Try to relax.
Dogs are great readers of mood. If you seem out of sorts and panicked as you're coordinating the big day, your sensitive pooch may absorb your anxieties. The stress often begins well before the holiday itself. Take some mental health time each day to hang with your pup and relax. It'll do you both good.
7. When to call a vet.
Not every Thanksgiving pet foible will require emergency attention, but certain symptoms merit immediate intervention.
"If their abdomen is distended, their gum color is pale, they're vomiting and looking uncomfortable, they must be seen immediately," says Dr. Knox.
Additionally, any dog who hasn't been able to eat in 12 hours or is vomiting and passing loose, bloody stools should be seen by a veterinary care provider.
A little planning goes a long way
Potential safety concerns abound during hectic large parties, but with a little preparation, you and your dog alike can enjoy a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Post-Election Stress Have You Frazzled? 10 Things That Can Help
Not happy with the state of politics? You aren't alone. If you find yourself angry or stressed out due to recent events, try these somewhat unconventional but proven techniques to help manage the feelings.
Deep Breaths
Our diaphragm, the muscle that controls the depth of our breath, helps stimulate the vagus nerve, a component of our parasympathetic nervous system, which is key to helping the body calm down. If you're not sure you're breathing deeply enough, find out with this helpful breathing exercise.
Sing
Sing whenever you can, because belting out loud definitely calms the stress response. Studies have shown singing to be as calming as yoga and a powerful defense against anxiety and depression.
Sleep Soundly
It's essential to get more rest. It is during deep periods of sleep that your mind and body renew, refresh, and regenerate themselves on a cellular level. Everything is better when you've had enough sleep.
Socialize
Find ways to connect with others on a deep, emotional level that has nothing to do with the election. Doing so helps stimulate the vagus nerve, helping to mitigate or stop the stress response.
Volunteer
Get involved in helping others. Altruism, or doing selflessly for others, is a scientifically proven way to alter the stress response in your body. Start with these 13 organizations that may need your help.
Try Adaptogens
What are adaptogens, you ask? They're super herbs that adapt to what your body needs. Take adaptogenic herbs like Asian ginseng, holy basil (also called tulsi), and astragalus root to help stop that stress response in its tracks and help you to be more calm and rational. You can also look for a combination capsule of different adaptogens at your local health food store.
Work Out
Exercise helps us manage stress because it produces endorphins, those "happy hormones" that make us realize that it really will be OK. By moving our muscles, we stimulate nerves. When we stimulate nerves, that stimulation goes all the way to the brain - that central command post of the nervous system. Our bodies are perpetual motion machines inside, and moving them is an important part of keeping that flow of electromagnetism smooth. Exercise is "meditation in motion." When we exercise to fatigue, we are concentrating on one thing only - getting through it!
Stop Talking About It
. . . if it's bothering you. Talking with your like-minded friends or talking with your un-like-minded friends will not automatically cause stress or relieve stress. It depends where they are and where you are inside. This election has called up a lot of fear and dread in people with both sides playing to those fears; it has been said that we hate what we fear, and we fear what we don't understand. So if talking with friends leads you to more understanding, then go for it. But if talking with others who are in a limbic state agitates them or you, it's best to stay silent for a while.
What is a limbic state, you ask? When we are stressed, our limbic brain or reptile brain is activated. This is the most primitive and unevolved part of us. It acts on emotion and is irrational, childish, and afraid. It can be rude and boorish, and sometimes even cruel. If you are in that place, or your friends are in that place, it's just better to pull back and remain silent on the subject for a while. No one is listening anyway, because they are all talking at the same time.
Eat the Right Foods
Some foods cause stress, other foods reduce stress. So how do you navigate? Sugar and starchy foods in particular stress the body and cause inflammation. That includes hidden sugars in sauces, sodas, and alcoholic drinks.
Was a cup of coffee your consolation post-election? Most people were hitting the caffeine hard on Wednesday morning after staying up all night to watch the election results. Caffeine in moderation is OK, but more than 12 ounces a day can stress your body out. Watch for hidden caffeine in sodas, teas, chocolate, energy drinks, and even some over-the-counter headache remedies.
The same goes for the booze. Alcohol is a toxin and makes it hard for your liver to get rid of other toxins because it is dealing with the immediate assault of the alcohol. Don't drown your frustration!
Instead, look for superfoods to help manage stress, because when the body is under stress, it is both toxic and deficient. Superfoods give you mega bang for the buck when it comes to helping your body be nourished and detoxified. Here are my favorites:
- Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables boost glutathione in the body, helping detoxify it.
- Tree nuts or nut butters.
- Organic turkey breast, pumpkin seeds, and free-range organic eggs are rich sources of tryptophan.
- Kale and other leafy, green vegetables are rich in folate and help your mood-regulating neurotransmitters including serotonin and dopamine.
- Oily fish like salmon, mackerel, herring, etc. are high in omega-3s and vitamin D - both of which help battle depression and help with cognitive functioning.
- Fermented foods like kombucha, kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchee heal the gut, creating better moods.
- Organic, dark chocolate that is at least 70 percent cacao makes you feel calmer because it stimulates anandamide, a neurotransmitter in the brain that temporarily blocks pain and depression.
Remember You Are Not Powerless
Powerlessness is a real feeling after the election for everyone - not just those who voted for Hillary Clinton. Lots of people disliked the Republican candidate but may have felt compelled to still vote for him because of their conservative values. But power is an illusion, and so is powerlessness. We have no real control in this world over what comes to us in the form of circumstances. We only have control of one thing: our reactions to those events. Like an airplane that can't control the force or direction of the wind but can course-correct by the tilt of its wings, we humans can transcend the tragedies of politics by our responses.
It also helps to disconnect. It's important to stay educated, but when we are always plugged, the worldwide scope of injustice, war, and suffering can make us feel powerless. We can't do everything, but we can do one thing. We can't help everyone, but we can help someone. I especially like this quote from John Wesley: "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can." [Editor's note: This Wesley quote was also used by Clinton throughout her presidential campaign.]

J.K. Rowling Says This Theory About Draco Malfoy Isn't True but We're Skeptical
Most Harry Potter fans can agree that Draco Malfoy is a bully who deserves zero sympathy from anyone. While most of his behavior is inexcusable, one theory about the sixth and seventh books might make you reconsider your thoughts on Draco and the Malfoy family. The theory suggests that as a form of punishment ordered by Voldemort, Draco was bitten and became a werewolf.
This isn't a new theory, but recently resurfaced in an Imgur post and still exists on the website Draco Malfoy Is a Werewolf. It states that Draco was bitten by Fenrir Greyback after Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix takes place because of Lucius' mistakes. Lucius failed to retrieve the prophecy and previously let one of Voldemort's horcruxes get destroyed in the second book. As Remus Lupin shares in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Greyback is often used by Voldemort to punish his enemies by letting him bite children and turn them into werewolves. In the same book, Harry starts to notice how pale and different Draco acts. He presumes to think it's because Draco is now a death eater, but with the theory in mind, it's actually because he's a werewolf. It's also why Draco has a close relationship with Severus Snape, as only he could brew the Wolfsbane potion for Draco.
Since Draco was no longer a true pure-blood, it also explains why the Malfoy's end up betraying Voldemort in the last book and leaving him behind. They could no longer abide by and fight for pure-bloods because of Draco, so they saw no reason to continue supporting Voldemort.
Though this theory is severely convincing, J.K. Rowling took to Twitter to dispel it in 2015. Someone tweeted at Rowling the question of whether Draco was a werewolf and Rowling said she hadn't seen it - and that it wasn't true. You can see it below.
I've never seen that one before. Draco definitely isn't a werewolf (and Snape's not a vampire). https://t.co/TSliADJvyi
- J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 2, 2015
Even though Rowling has essentially shut down this theory, we're still hoping it was true. It would make up for Draco's attitude towards Harry and everyone else.

MAC Cosmetics's New Collection Allows You to Match Your Perfume to Your Lipstick
MAC Cosmetics's range is known for its highly-pigmented, artist-quality formulas, but is especially celebrated for its extensive assortment of lipsticks. However, thanks to the new Shadescents collection, I'm willing to wager that the brand's fragrance offerings are going to get a lot more recognition.
You see, MAC Cosmetics has been producing perfume for ages, and each of them are just as beautifully crafted as its limited-edition products. I personally have worn MAC Turquatic ($30), a crisp lotus-infused scent, religiously for the past four Summers, and know many people who were grateful for the return of iconic perfume Air of Style ($52). Now the company is adding five new fragrances to its lineup, all inspired by some of MAC's bestselling lipstick shades.
The Shadescents collection features both the new scent and the lipstick that inspired it, complete with new packaging for your favorite lip colors. Of course, Ruby Woo has been immortalized in scent with a seductive woody-floral juice featuring notes of red leather. Vivacious Candy Yum-Yum, brooding Heroine, punchy Lady Danger, and beguiling Crème d'Nude and
Velvet Teddy shades also have gotten the fragrance treatment.
While many women opt to coordinate their lips with their manicures, we think matching your fragrance to your pout is far more sophisticated. Read on to learn more about the range before it launches on Dec. 8.
This Everyday Accessory Slowly Yet Surely Took Over 2016
Reflecting on 2016's most viral fashion trends, we realized a little something: many of them revolved around earrings, from the return of that extra-large, aughts-like hoop to the rise of Les Bonbons, the accessory currently taking over Instagram. Instead of blending into the background, this year's must-have styles helped the wearer steal the spotlight, convincing us to swap out simple studs for something more statement-making. Read on for the options that came into - or back into! - our lives over the past 12 months, and see why 2016 should be called the year of the earring.

The 1 App That Saved My Family's Sanity While Waiting in Line at Disney World
Oh, there's no place like Walt Disney World for the holidays. The decorations, the special treats in the confectionery, the holiday-themed shows - and the crowds! Yes, the joy of the holidays at Disney is palpable, but there's no escaping the fact that there are thousands of families that had the same idea as you, so that means lines for the most popular attractions will be long - and I mean very long.
I just returned from an action-packed long weekend at the Florida resort, where the crowd surged over the weekend. While my family and I were able to FastPass the newly reopened Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Dumbo, we entered the Splash Mountain standby line at a time when the wait was estimated to be more than an hour. For the first 15 minutes, we entertained ourselves by planning the rest of our day via the free My Disney Experience app (a must have for park-goers), but after that the whining began. Ten- and 7-year-olds are better at handling long waits than, say, a toddler, but 45 minutes is still a lot of time to fill.
That's when I scanned the crowd and noticed a family a bit ahead of us hysterically laughing. After staring their way a bit too long, I learned the source of their amusement - the Heads Up! app ($1) created by Ellen DeGeneres. Much like the game Hedbanz, the app has players pick a category, hold their phone up to their heads, and have their kids give them clues to try to guess the word that appears. The best part? The app records the people giving the clues for some pretty funny videos. There's even a Disney Parks category ($1) that was a perfect fit given our location.
The app kept my family of four - and the families in line around us - entertained for the entire rest of our wait and proved to be a big help while we waited in line at the airport as well.
While the app can't make the lines shorter, it can at least keep little ones laughing during the wait!
32 Moments That Prove 2016 Was the Year of Demi Lovato
We're calling it: 2016 was Demi Lovato's year. The singer was everywhere - on tour, on your TV, on the radio, at every award show and party, on your Instagram feed - and we're not mad about it one single bit. We really feel like Demi took ownership of her career and her name in the past few months, releasing powerful songs from her Confident album and even adding another single to the mix, "Body Say," that gives us a preview of her new sound.
In honor of Demi, our girl-crush, and her kickass 2016, we've rounded up some of her best moments of the year. Keep reading, and if you're not a big fan of her, trust us when we say, you will be by the time you reach the end.
These Might Be the Most Wearable, Affordable Bridesmaid Dresses in History
Every time we turn around, brides are coming up with unique ways of dressing their bridesmaids. Is it a stretch to say that bridesmaid looks matter just as much as the wedding gown? I don't think so. But then there's the other dilemma: what do women do with their bridesmaid dresses after the ceremony?
Typical styles aren't easy to work into an everyday wardrobe, and the duo behind Name of Love, a new customized shopping service, kept that in mind when rolling out their company. Merrill and Simona know that ladies love a piece that's well-made, a touch trendy, but first and foremost, flattering - and one they can wear again.
Name of Love offers bridesmaids the chance to choose from 14 different silhouettes, eight different colorways, and luxurious-looking fabrics, including a structured floral lace. Once the selection's made and highly detailed measurements are confirmed, the piece is on its way. The entire collection ranges from $198 to $248, and I can tell you firsthand - after seeing these dresses in person - girls will be satisfied with their designs and want to keep them in rotation.
Read on to preview a few of the cuts available on Name of Love, and check out the brand's lovely interface too. Once you're hooked, spread the news to all your friends and keep careful watch on the site. Jumpsuits are not far off in the future for this on-the-rise label.

Why You Should Think Twice About What You Read on Facebook
Update: Since the publishing of this story, Facebook has taken several steps to combat fake news on the site. The company, along with Google, will "no longer allow fake news sites to use their ad-selling services," reports CNN. Mark Zuckerberg also addressed the controversy again in a Facebook post on Nov. 18. In it, the CEO discusses how it usually leaves the community to decide what's fake on the site. However, if the community is spreading something false, the News Feed "penalizes this content."
Zuckerberg also outlined the seven steps the company is taking to stop the spread of fake news. It involves developing better tools to flag fake news, creating a simpler process for people to report fake news, working with more sources that fact-check news, "showing warnings" when someone decides to read fake news, showing higher-quality content when it comes to related articles, "disrupting" how fake news sites can make money on the site, and lastly, listening and learning from media companies that already do rigorous fact-checking.
The post has more than 131,000 reactions, 9,000 comments, and 10,000 shares. Read it for yourself below.
Original story: A study in May found that 44 percent of US adults get their news from Facebook, which means you - yes, you - quite possibly clicked on this story from your news feed. There's nothing wrong with that; I also get my news from Facebook and the links my friends share. However, what you and I see on our news feed may look extremely different. Though Facebook continues to insist that it is not a media company, the fact that it's how a significant number of Americans get their news suggests otherwise. In its media-company role, Facebook helped disseminate misinformation throughout the election, failing its own mission statement and letting down its users.
On Facebook's own profile page, the company includes its mission statement:
Founded in 2004, Facebook's mission is to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. People use Facebook to stay connected with friends and family, to discover what's going on in the world, and to share and express what matters to them.
Based on this statement, it's clear that the company has a duty to you - the user - to "discover what's going on in the world." But is the company failing us if it allows you to find fake news and share it with all your Facebook friends?
Facebook's algorithm surfaced fake news.
After the company fired the human curators who were running Facebook's "Trending Topics" section, the section has repeatedly surfaced fake news. Did you happen to read how Pope Francis endorsed Donald Trump? Or that Hillary Clinton was calling for civil war should Trump be elected? These fake stories spread because they were shared on Facebook.
An algorithm, which one researcher warns is inherently not neutral, cannot distinguish between what is fake and what is not. Facebook's vice president of product management, Adam Mosseri, has admitted to this problem in a statement to TechCrunch.
"We take misinformation on Facebook very seriously. We value authentic communication, and hear consistently from those who use Facebook that they prefer not to see misinformation. In Newsfeed we use various signals based on community feedback to determine which posts are likely to contain inaccurate information, and reduce their distribution. In Trending we look at a variety of signals to help make sure the topics being shown are reflective of real-world events, and take additional steps to prevent false or misleading content from appearing. Despite these efforts we understand there's so much more we need to do, and that is why it's important that we keep improving our ability to detect misinformation. We're committed to continuing to work on this issue and improve the experiences on our platform."
The New York Times reports that, internally, employees at Facebook are also concerned about the role the company played in the election and considering what its responsibility is. Employees are giving product managers suggestions on how to address the news feed problems.
Employees at Facebook are so dissatisfied with Zuckerberg's words and lack of action that dozens of them have formed a task force to investigate whether the company did enough to stop the spread of fake news, reports BuzzFeed. "If someone posts a fake news article, which claims that the Clintons are employing illegal immigrants, and that incites people to violence against illegal immigrants, isn't that dangerous, doesn't that also violate our community standards?" said one anonymous employee to BuzzFeed.
Where is this fake news coming from?
A BuzzFeed investigation found that many of the fake news stories were originating in Macedonia. Teens who wanted an easy way to make money created sites to write fake news that would cater to Trump supporters. One source told BuzzFeed that a friend who runs one of these sites can make "$3,000 a day" when a story takes off. In another investigation, The Washington Post found that sometimes Facebook surfaces stories from known satire sites, like SportsPickle. Fake news isn't the only issue on Facebook either: as an interactive story from The Wall Street Journal points out, your news feed will look vastly different if you're a liberal or a conservative.
Can we change what we see on Facebook?
To a certain extent, you can control what you see in the news feed. Facebook shows you posts it thinks you may like based on previous information, including pages you've "liked," where you're from, and other details in your profile. These same details are surfaced to advertisers, who will then show you things you might like to buy or see. At this point, however, you've probably clicked and "liked" so much stuff on Facebook that it's hard to escape the bubble you've created for yourself on the site. Besides, if what you're seeing is information and stories that you want to believe, why would you try to re-create a new world for yourself on Facebook?
Mark Zuckerberg doesn't believe the fake news on Facebook had a strong affect on the election
Two days after the election, on Nov. 10, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg responded to all these arguments at a conference. "Personally I think the idea that fake news on Facebook, which is a very small amount of the content, influenced the election in any way - I think it is a pretty crazy idea. Voters make decisions based on their lived experience."
On Saturday, Nov. 12, Zuckerberg wrote a post that said "more than 99 percent of what people see [on Facebook] is authentic. . . Overall, this makes it extremely unlikely hoaxes changed the outcome of this election in one direction or the other." Zuckerberg acknowledged that there is more work to be done in curbing fake news from the site.
Meanwhile, Gizmodo reports that Facebook may already have the features to get rid of fake news. Talking to two sources, Gizmodo found that a news feed update that "would have identified fake or hoax news stories" was in the works. But the source contends the company never moved forward with it because "there was a lot of fear about upsetting conservatives after Trending Topics." The update, in addition to flagging fake news, "disproportionately impacted right-wing news sites by downgrading or removing that content from people's feeds" - which may have been another reason the update was never released.
Facebook denied the report and all of its findings in an emailed comment to POPSUGAR. "The article's allegation is not true. We did not build and withhold any News Feed changes based on their potential impact on any one political party. We always work to make News Feed more meaningful and informative, and that includes examining the quality and accuracy of items shared, such as clickbait, spam and hoaxes. Mark himself said 'I want to do everything I can to make sure our teams uphold the integrity of our products.' This includes continuously review updates to make sure we are not exhibiting unconscious bias."
The company did not respond to our other questions for comment.
Where do we go from here?
Joshua Benton, director at the Nieman Lab, explores several different options. One of the most beneficial ones is to rehire human curators who can decide what goes in the "trending topics" section. See, there is plenty of great, well-reported journalism out there. But, if the algorithm on the site can't fix what you see on your feed, it can at least attempt to resolve this via the Trending Topics section. Benton also goes on to suggest that a team could sort through all the content on Facebook and flag fake news - and even potentially remove the publisher or page from the site if it continues to do this action.
Facebook can also do what reporters have been asking the company to do for months: declare itself a media company. When it controls this amount of information and dictates how and when you see that, it is making editorial decisions. When the company refuses to strike down fake news from the site, that is an editorial decision. Facebook is the company determining what information is vital to its readers - decisions which reporters and editors make in newsrooms every day.
We'll never know the full extent of how much Facebook did or did not influence the election. But with local and state elections now a year away, the company can and should do better. It owes that to its users and employees, who subscribe to a mission statement that wants to "make the world more open and connected."

Every Elf on the Shelf Is Going to Want This New BFF
Bringing the Christmas spirit to homes on Santa Claus's behalf can be a lonely job, but luckily for your little one's beloved Elf on the Shelf, he or she can share in the holiday fun this year with an adorable new friend: a pet St. Bernard ($25).
This adorable pup doesn't just serve as a spirited companion for your family scout elf, but he also helps Santa to achieve the perfect holiday for families all over the world. Once your family adopts this sweet pet, he encourages kiddos to perform acts of kindness. As children start doing good deeds for others around them with their St. Bernard by their side and their Elf on the Shelf watching, the little ones are creating much-needed Christmas magic that Santa uses to make everything come together on Christmas Eve.
Along with a sweet book explaining this puppy's magical powers and special tradition, the St. Bernard comes straight from the North Pole with an official adoption certificate. This pup, which is debuting this holiday season, is only the second official Elf on the Shelf pet to be introduced. Is it worth buying even if your family's elf already has the original pet reindeer ($20), which is meant to teach kids about showing love in that each time a child snuggles it, the reindeer creates more Christmas magic that Santa uses to fly his sleigh? Definitely - the more North Pole friends using their "powers" to spread Christmas cheer throughout your home, the better!

Live Video and Snapchat-Like Messages Are Officially Coming to Instagram
Are you someone who goes back and forth between using Snapchat and Instagram? Well, Instagram's two new features, live video and disappearing photos and videos in direct messages, might finally make you stop switching between the two.
Instagram's live video combines features from Facebook Live and Twitter's Periscope. To go live, all you need to do is swipe right and tap "Start Live Video." Unlike Facebook and Periscope, however, the live video exists only in the moment - it disappears once you're done filming. If you're someone watching the live video, you can tap and leave hearts (similar to Periscope) or leave a comment. Swipe right on a live video to see more, or go to the search page to discover who's live right now. Instagram is testing the feature for now and will roll it out to everyone in the next few weeks.
For those of us who love Snapchat's ephemeral photos and videos, Instagram is now integrating something similar into the app. Starting today, you can send temporary photos and videos to your friends as a direct message. When you look at your direct messages, you'll see what messages have these short-lived photos and videos at the top.
Read ahead to see what these two new features look like and start playing around with them. It might be enough to make you forget about Snapchat's spectacles.
The Best Exercise For Toning Your Triceps and Core
If you want to tone your upper body and core, push-ups are one of the most effective exercises you can do. If you're used to doing them with your elbows out wide, try this challenging variation that targets your triceps for a more defined upper body.
- Begin in plank position with the arms and body straight, shoulders over the wrists. Keep the core engaged.
- Bend the elbows behind you and lower your chest to the floor. Keep your upper arms tight to your body so your elbows are against your ribs on both sides.
- Straighten the arms, coming back to plank position.
- This counts as one rep. Do as many reps as you can with correct form.

Don't Let Gigi Hadid's White AMAs Dress Distract You - She's Just Getting Started
For this year's American Music Awards, Gigi Hadid received quite the coveted gig: co-hosting the show alongside SNL alumn Jay Pharoah. Naturally, the new job mean planning out a wardrobe worthy of the spotlight, and when the model showed up on the red carpet, she set the bar pretty high. Gigi's lacy white, frilled Roberto Cavalli dress was breathtaking from every angle, hugging her curves and showing off her shoulders. Factor in the voluminous hair and a sparkling diamond choker, and you've clearly got something ready for the record books. But alas, this girl's just getting started.

7 Before and After Photos That Prove Things Aren't Always as They Seem
With perfectly round and well-lit booty pictures taking over our Instagram feeds, it's almost impossible to not want to get squatting to build that perfect Insta-tush for yourself, but one fitness blogger is using her platform to tell people that those photos aren't always as flawless as they seem. Meet Sara Puhto, a 20-year-old Finnish YouTuber on a mission to have her followers see her at all angles. Oh, and she goes by "Saggy Sara" - need we say more?
Sara uses her platform of over 27K Instagram followers as a way to dispel all the misconstrued messages about body image all over the internet. She posts photos side by side - some flexing, some not; some sitting, some standing - as a way to show that there's a lot more that goes on in a seemingly perfect photo. She's inspiring her followers to love themselves from all angles and sharing that any goal is achievable "with the right amount of determination." She shows that we can't hold ourselves to the standards of perfectly angled celebrity photos, because they might not show the other side of the photo for a reason.
"Don't think you can't because you're comparing a posed photo of a body to your everyday body," she wrote on Instagram. "Use them as motivation but don't get too caught up on them."
Keep reading to see some of Sara's incredibly realistic and eye-opening photos.
