Hilarious Reactions to "Family Friendly" Movie Theater With a Jungle Gym

We have to admit, our reactions to seeing that there's a movie theater in Mexico that has jungle gyms in some of its "family friendly" screen rooms were a bit mixed. At first it's like: "A movie theater with a playground in it? Cool, now I can actually watch the movie while my kids play." And then we were like: "Well, actually, this sounds like a nightmare of epic losing-your-kid-in-Disney and visiting-the-ER proportions. So hell no, thank you very much."

As it turns out, the Twitter community is also experiencing mixed reactions to this news. Scroll through to see some of the honest and hysterical responses, and let us know: is this your parenting dream . . . or nightmare?

1 Makeup Artist's Viral Clapback to Haters Who Accused Her of Charging Too Much

At just 18 years old, Mikala Walker has already built her very own business around doing makeup. What started as a free favor for her friends quickly blossomed into a full-on side hustle, as she now does proms and the occasional bridal event.

As her skills and experience grew over the years, so did the prices she charged her clients - and rightfully so! Whereas she initially charged $20 for a full face, Mikala now prices her services at $75.

Take one look at her Instagram, and you'll instantly see that her impressive talent makes her services worth every darn penny. But alas, some trolls in the depths of the internet seem to think otherwise. When the 18-year-old used Twitter to advertise a deal she was offering for prom makeup, she got quite a few mixed responses.

Many people accused her of charging too much money, with one user calling the price "pretty ridiculous for the quality of [her] work" and another labeling it as "total bs." But instead of letting the haters get the best of her, Mikala responded in a subtly sassy get oh-so-fitting way: by crunching some numbers to show her followers exactly how expensive all of her makeup products really are. She tweeted a list of the various items she uses, along with a photo of her calculator showing the whopping total: $635!

Tons of her followers and other makeup artists quickly responded to support Mikala for firing back at the haters.

The 1 Pantry Staple Every Cook Needs, According to the World's Best Female Chef

Image Source: Getty / Amanda Edwards

In 2016, Dominique Crenn earned the incredibly impressive title of the world's best female chef. The renowned French chef is owner of two restaurants in San Francisco, Atelier Crenn and Petit Crenn, and she's known for her "poetic culinaria" style of cooking - her menus are written as poems. As elevated as her recipes are, at the end of the day, she really just wants to eat a "nice grilled cheese sandwich." Dominique teamed up with LG Signature, a new line of innovative appliances, and she chatted with me on the phone about what's in her fridge, what it's like earning such a prestigious title, and more. You can watch Dominique's episode of Chef's Table on Netflix to get to know her even better.

On Being Crowned the World's Best Female Chef

"Well it's a very interesting conversation and for me it's kind of a platform to continue that dialogue. Perhaps in a few years, I hope it will just be 'chef' and not 'woman chef.' It's a conversation to have, and it's also to show the world that we are great cooks, but it's not just about me; it's about my team and the people that have helped me be where I am today. It's definitely a conversation that we keep continuing to have to kind of eliminate this world of female against male."

On the 1 Essential Pantry Staple Every Cook Needs

"Salt. Sea salt, fleur de sel - any salt. I grew up in France, and I was using a lot of Brittany Sea Salt. But any sea salt, for sure.

On Her Go-To Method For Scrambling Eggs

"It's all about temperature for me because I really start it very, very low, and I don't really turn up the heat, and I cook very low with a spatula. You kind of bring back the egg in the middle and you keep cooking it on the side and bring it back to the middle. No dairy. I can finish with a little bit of butter or cheese, but usually I won't. The way that I cook it makes the eggs so kind of airy and buttery without any butter. It's not overcooked on the pan, which I think a lot of people make that mistake that they cook eggs in a high-heat pan, and it's just killing the egg."

On What's in Her Fridge

"I love to cook a nice grilled cheese sandwich. You have to do butter - good butter. I know we say the French butter is the best. I love tomatoes, avocado, cornichons for sure. You have to have the best bread in the world, which is the brioche that I make at Atelier Crenn.

On What It Takes to Make It in the Culinary World - and in Life

"Determination. Determination is the number one thing you need to have. You can have passion, you can have communication, but determination. You have to be determined. Determination in life can get you anywhere, not just in a food world. You have to be confident and you have to have determination to be able to get into this world."

9 Iconic First Lady Gowns Worth Talking About

Traveling to Washington DC two days after what will surely be the most important election of my lifetime was scary. I'm not going to lie. I heard rallies outside my hotel room all night and passed angry mobs holding signs outside the Trump hotel. But during the day, while Barack Obama met with President-elect Donald Trump inside the White House, the streets were quiet.

I traveled with a small group of editors to the first ladies inaugural dress exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum, and it was only there, in that small, dimly lit room, that I could feel myself starting to relax. The first sign was a poster on the wall that featured a Q&A series: "How will the first ladies collection change when a woman is elected president?" Using the term "when," not "if," instilled hope. Then I veered off, where a short film of Michelle Obama donating her Jason Wu gown to the museum was playing.

So Much More Than a Dress

"This gown is one of the most tangible things I have left to remember that day. At the end of the day today is about much more than this gown. It's also about how with enough focus and determination someone in this room can be the next Jason Wu. Someone can be the next Barack Obama . . . Something you create today can help teach the next generation in a way that nothing else can," Michelle said at the podium.

Her dress was absolutely one of the most intricate on display, what with its Swarovski crystal embellishments and impeccably organized beading. But these dresses I was admiring, some of which dated back to the 1800s, were not made to make the first ladies feel pretty. Each one signified a new beginning.

"Inaugurations are times of optimism . . . In addition to attending ceremonies and balls, incoming first ladies announce the agendas and special projects they intend to pursue. Some projects are ambitious. Some are traditional. Some may be controversial," read a sign on the wall.

Just like the fashion choices they make. And it's true: every first lady was scrutinized for her style, even if she wasn't viewed as an icon. But it was the choices she made in that suit, the momentous speech she gave in that ballgown, that we'll remember. If a floor-sweeping dress is one way to preserve these memories, why not learn everything we can about it? Why not try to understand why Michelle wore white or Lady Bird Johnson chose a simple yellow sheath?

The Legacy, The Future

As I traveled around the exhibit, reading about each gown and the woman who wore it, I passed a very young girl staring up at a picture of Michelle and Barack Obama on Inauguration Day. "Who's that?" her mother asked her, pointing up at a glowing Michelle. "It's the president! They're both presidents!" she screamed.

The first female president will not be sworn in on January 20. In fact, the Smithsonian Museum will make space for one more dress as Melania Trump accepts her role as FLOTUS. But until then, let's consider the takeaways I learned about the first ladies who stood before her.

Each of the facts ahead is proof that these strong women, from Lady Bird Johnson and Jackie Kennedy to Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama, were compassionate. They thought of function first, then fashion. They embraced the spotlight, not because of what they were wearing, but because of the confidence they felt when wearing it. All of the women I learned about were leaders. They had what it takes to lead a nation, and one day, a lady as determined as them will. When you're finished reading, I think you'll agree.

This Season's Front Row in Paris Looked Extra Good

Fashion Month wrapped up in Paris with incredible shows like Chanel and Louis Vuitton. The latter drew in familiar faces from Hollywood - Michelle Williams and Sophie Turner - who turned up in outfits meant for the front row. In general, this season's Paris Fashion Week regulars looked better than ever and provided us with enough outfit inspo until the next show. Take some time to fully reminisce over who wore what ahead, just in case you missed any of the looks.

These Beautiful C-Section Birth Photos Are Nothing Short of Amazing

Jessica Bender is a photographer who specializes in maternity, newborn, children, and family shoots, but she was recently given a very special opportunity to photograph a C-section birth. During a maternity shoot, mama-to-be Felicia commented on that amazing photo shoot, and said to Bender that if she were to have a C-section delivery, she wanted her there to take photos.

Well, it happened, and "Little Man L" was finally born after 72 hours - yes, you read that right! - via C-section. Bender captured the entire thing, and Felicia said that the photos make her feel like she was more present during the birth.

Bender commented in her blog post about the session, "Feeling disconnected is something that I commonly hear from moms who deliver via c-section, so it was really special to hear that the images helped Felicia feel more present in the delivery of her baby boy." These photos are absolutely breathtaking, and there is no doubt in our minds that Felicia and her family will cherish these beautiful snaps forever.

Before I Could Teach My Daughter to Love Her Body, I Had to Come to Terms With Mine

Five years ago, I was embarrassed to try on clothes at one of those open fitting rooms that exist at discount department stores. I shuddered with embarrassment at just the thought of getting undressed in front of other women. Not that there was anything wrong with my body. I was just young and self-conscious at the thought of others peering my way during a quick change of my shirt, or god forbid they see the sight of my heinie sticking out the side of my lace Hanky Panky thong. I was frightened to get a full body check at the dermatologist's office and nervous at the thought of the doctor, another female, peering at my private parts on her search for mysterious bumps. Going to the gynecologist and baring it all certainly wasn't my cup of tea either, but whose is it?

I heard that with age, one becomes more comfortable baring his or her body parts in front of others. For the most part, the only ones you see baring it all in gym locker rooms are older women with droopy body parts. I didn't think I would so easily lose my sense of humility, but after giving birth and having my lower half exposed in front of countless doctors and nurses - and then baring my upper half to breastfeed - all modesty flew out the window.

Alas, just seven months after giving birth to a healthy baby girl, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My body image completely shifted over the next few months - making me laugh at the younger self-conscious woman that I once was, who is no longer a part of who I am today. After countless breast exams, mammograms, sonograms, biopsies, surgery, and radiation, I was unenthusiastically exposed week after week for months at a time. I had a tumor the size of a grape - and a small amount of healthy tissue around it - cut out by a surgeon. The pathology report showed that all of the cancerous cells were removed, but I had to undergo seven weeks of radiation in order to ensure that no stray cancerous cells remained.

Each morning I arrived at radiation, grabbed a medical gown, went into a dressing room, took off my shirt and bra, and put on the gown. I was greeted by the technicians - two males about my age - laid on a table, and took my arm out of my gown on the side where the tumor was removed, exposing my breast. At first I felt a little self-conscious being so exposed, but it became routine after time - as though the technicians weren't looking at my breast at all, and that they weren't even men. I also laughed to myself when I was greeted by a handsome and well-dressed late-30-something doctor in my second week of radiation who checked my breast for skin irritation and other issues every week after that. There's nothing like showing your war-torn breast to a stranger - let alone a good-looking man about your age.

I definitely feel more comfortable having my body parts - which once were more "private" to me - checked out by female medical professionals. That being said, I'm starting to think of these parts just like any other part of me, say my mouth, my ears, or my feet.

I remember when I was younger, my mother told me that I shouldn't be embarrassed by my body. She explained to me that the human body is beautiful and natural. Her perspective didn't resonate with me until after I gave birth, and following my diagnosis, after being poked, prodded, and exposed for all to see. These experiences made me realize that the body parts I had before childbirth, surgery, and radiation were beautiful and natural - and that my body is just as beautiful following these experiences that changed it. As my daughter grows up, I'm going to make sure she knows how precious her body is, and I will make sure that she feels comfortable in it. I will try to instill that same self-assurance that my mom tried to instill in me.

Samuel L. Jackson Curses His Way Through the Internet's Most Burning Questions

After hearing the name Samuel L. Jackson, "giddy" probably isn't the first word that comes to mind ("motherf*cker" is probably higher on the list). Well, while sitting down with Wired recently, the Kong: Skull Island actor agreed to participate in their "The Web's Most Searched Questions" segment, and he's positively delightful. Since he's appeared in over 100 films after beginning his acting career in the early '70s, the internet is practically bursting with questions about him. He happily answers everything from "How did Samuel L. Jackson die?" to "What did Samuel L. Jackson engrave on his lightsaber?" (spoiler alert: something hilarious). 8 of TV's Most Inspirational Female Friendships

These days, it is beautifully common to see a big band of powerful, influential women marching together and preaching feminism. There is still a weird paradigm, however, in terms of what an "aspirational female friendship" should look like. On the one hand, there is the polished, Instagram-ready friendship we see presented by stars like Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian. But however pure the friendship behind those alliances may be, they still have an undeniable brand value that makes them feel sort of manufactured. #Squadgoals definitely had its moment, but it tends to apply to long-legged, dressed-to-the-nines snapshots of girlfriends more so than Gloria Steinem giving Ruth Bader Ginsburg a high-five.

No one has a monopoly on feminism, but for all the talk of this being a new heyday for women's representation in the media, it's kind of a bummer to see a commodified, watered-down version of the movement presented as pop culture's mainstream. And yet, I am hopeful, because TV is really and truly in a new Golden Age, and this one features a whole lot more women - in front of and behind the camera.

For the first time in my adult life, I don't have to search desperately for a show that passes the Bechdel test. Not only can I see my and my friends' experiences represented on television more consistently, but I can find multiple examples of female friendships the I actually do aspire to have. Too often, the image of celebrity friendship doesn't give us much to aim for beyond an outward appearance of glamour and social clout, but with television, we can dive into the good, the bad, and even the mundane of what it means to be lady friends. With that, let's take a look at the shows that are changing the way female friendship is represented on TV!

Use This Genius Trick to Get Every Last Drop of Concealer Out of the Tube

Scrape your tubes!

Having a love for cosmetics can end up being a costly hobby, which makes it all the more frustrating when you can see - but not reach! - the very last drops of product in a tube. Not too long ago, Michelle Phan showed us how to scoop those dregs of lip gloss out of the container. However, we're wary of microwaving our precious tubes of concealer in order to get at what's left.

Thankfully, Reddit user renaissancetomboy shared her trick for doing so in an easy DIY featuring Tarte's cult-favorite Shape Tape Contour Concealer ($24).

"I pulled the plastic stopper out of the tube with a pair of locking pliers, scraped it off, then used a depotting spatula to scrape the tube as best I could," she explained. "I basically got a whole other tube of concealer out of it. I can't believe nearly half the product that's in the tube is left in the tube when it's 'empty.'" (She sanitized the spatula and new container before filling it with the remaining quantity of concealer.)

As she rightly points out, this extra amount can last a seriously long time, so this method is absolutely worth the effort. Click through the above gallery for step-by-step instruction on how to get every last drop of concealer out of the tube.

Proof That Drew Barrymore and Daughter Frankie Are Twins

Drew Barrymore had an adorable date night on Tuesday when she took her 2-year-old daughter, Frankie, to the Society of MSK's Bunny Hop in New York City. While the Santa Clarita Diet star, who we've been obsessed with since the '90s, posed for photos with her little one on the red carpet, we couldn't help but notice how much Frankie looks like her famous mom. Since Drew grew up in the spotlight after her breakout role as Gertie in 1982's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, there are plenty of photos of the star as a young girl to look back on. Between their beautiful eyes and their little button noses, Drew and Frankie look so much alike (and we love it so much).

Doctor Mom Saves Her Own Son's Life After He Collapses on the Soccer Field

When your child suffers an injury, your maternal instincts kick into high gear and you run to see what you can do. But when Gina Agredano's 16-year-old son collapsed on the soccer field and went into cardiac arrest mid game, not only did her maternal instincts go into overdrive, but her work as a physician helped to save her son's life.

Jose Agredano Jr. was playing in his final junior varsity soccer game of the season in Hollister, CA, when he was hit in the chest with the ball and fell to the ground. His mother was there immediately to save his life. "I wasn't ready to lose him," Gina told Today. "I think as a mother, it was the hardest thing I've had to do in my life."

They later found out that Jose was hit in the heart, throwing it "into an abnormal rhythm, and the only way to recover is CPR and electrical shock." They immediately called 911, but the second Gina saw her son stop breathing she said "it was game on," explaining that she kept telling herself he was not going to die.

"All of those emotions just stopped, and it was like a surge of adrenaline, this fight-or-flight-type thing, that my son's not going to die," she said. "That took over."

You never know what you're capable of until you're in a situation when your child's life is in question, and Gina did all the right things to save her child's life. "I always have seen her as a hero and an amazing person," Jose said about his mom. He explained that after she saved him, "I looked at her a little brighter. She's a giver and she's really smart and she doesn't give up."

Gina told the Stanford Children's Hospital that her knowledge of CPR and understanding of when it should be administered is what truly saved his life.

Don't Tell Filch, but These Harry Potter Stars Just Went Into the Forbidden Forest

One of the best things the Harry Potter franchise has given us (in addition to wonderful quotes, crazy theories, and Harry Potter weekends on Freeform) is the amount of nostalgic reunions between the film's many stars. Evanna Lynch, Jason Isaacs, and James and Oliver Phelps (aka Luna Lovegood, Lucius Malfoy, and the Weasley twins) stopped by the Warner Bros. Studio Tour's new Forbidden Forest expansion in Watford, England, on Wednesday. Since it doesn't open to the public until March 31, the group got a special preview of Buckbeak the hippogriff, Aragog the giant (terrifying) spider, and more. Maybe they coordinated their hangout in the Harry Potter group chat?

Hillary Clinton's Powerful Red Pantsuit Was No Accident

Hillary Clinton pays careful attention to the color of her pantsuits. She wore purple the day she delivered her concession speech to signify unity between the Democratic and Republican parties and a white Ralph Lauren suit on Inauguration Day to pay homage to women suffragists.

For a special Girls Inc. luncheon, Hillary chose a bright red pantsuit. Not only was red the color of the organization, but it also honored the Day Without a Woman initiative. Red is the color women are encouraged to wear to signify solidarity for International Women's Day.

As she gave a speech about empowering girls, Hillary looked both confident and spirited. She even styled a rainbow button-down underneath her suit, which painted the picture of diversity and inclusion of all groups. Read on to see Hillary Clinton's powerful pantsuit.

The 37 Commandments of Dressing Like a New Yorker

You'd be hard-pressed to find a New Yorker who only wears black. As far as we're concerned, that's an ill-founded fashion rule made to be broken. But there is something the most stylish ladies of NYC have in common - when they get dressed in the morning, their looks are refined and polished.

When New Yorkers step out of their apartments, they do it with confidence, traveling from point A to point B without missing a step - even when they're wearing heels. The best part? Their outfits are incredibly easy to re-create. Even if you don't live in the Big Apple, you can totally dress like you do when you follow the 37 style rules ahead.

Dad Explains Why a Toddler Having a Tantrum Is Actually a Sign of Good Parenting

We've all heard it in some capacity before (and maybe we've even been guilty of saying it ourselves) when a child is having a meltdown in public: "That parent needs to control their kids." As a parent, though, you know that's so much easier said than done. After dealing with his own toddler's tantrum at a Red Robin, one dad is sharing his opinion on public kiddo meltdowns.

"I'm stuck in the van with my toddler," starts Clint Edwards in a post to his blog's Facebook page. "We went out to dinner as a family, and she had a meltdown because mom wouldn't let her throw chicken strips. So she screamed, and screamed, and kicked and kicked, and since I was the only one finished with my meal, I had the pleasure of dragging her out of Red Robin."

The frustrated dad continues, sharing that as he carried her out, everyone he passed - mostly childless people, he assumed - stared at him with that "look that seems to say, 'If you can't control your kid, then don't go out.'"

"Well," he wrote. "No. I can't control her. She's 2 and it's going to take years to teach her how to act appropriately in public, and the only way I am ever going to teach that is to take her out and show her what's right and wrong. By saying no a million times, letting her throw a fit, and telling her no again."

The dad's post continues, emphasizing how difficult it can be to parent in these awkward situations, but that it's a process everyone's own parents had to go through with them at one point in time as well.

These lessons take patience, hard work, and real world experiences, and I'm sorry to those at the bar who got irritated by my child's fit, but you are part of this practice. Your parents did the same with you, and that's how you now know how to recognize when a child does something irritating in a restaurant. It's how you learned to look at a situation and say, "That parent needs to control their kids."

It's how you learned to be a respectable person.

Clint wraps up his post with empathy and understanding, but also drives his point home. "I get it. Kids are irritating when they are loud in a restaurant. I know. I'm living it," he wrote. "But before you get angry and judgmental, realize that what you are witnessing is not bad parenting, but rather, parents working hard to fix the situation. You are looking at what it takes to turn a child into a person."

How to Keep Lemons Fresh For up to 3 Months

This tip for storing lemons is so easy. Accoring to Food.com, if you refrigerate lemons in a bowl of water, they will keep for up to three months! It sounds insane, but I'd be willing to give it a try. And if you want to extend the life of a lemon even futher, freeze the zest and the juice separately.

It Only Got Worse For 3 Breastfeeding Moms at IHOP After Police Were Called

On International Pancake Day, Tiara Wilson and some fellow mom friends decided to stop by IHOP. As the ladies were enjoying themselves, a family walked in and sat down next to them. The women didn't think much of it, but when three of the moms started breastfeeding their babies, the father at the next table took note of them.

The man started taking photos of the moms feeding their babies while calling attention to these women. "He decided to make disgusting faces and snarky little remarks to his family," Tiara shared on Facebook. "Then his family decided to take photos and decided that they would sit there the whole time and mean mug and again make nasty faces as everyone FED their babies."

One of the women alerted the restaurant's manager, who in turn called the police over the customer who refused to stop taking pictures. When the family then tried to leave in order to avoid the police, the manager refused to give them their check and made them wait until the officers arrived.

However, things only got worse once the police arrived. "The Aurora Police Department COPD said: 'GO TO THE BATHROOM or USE A COVER, if you don't want to be bothered or have pictures snapped while feeding,'" Tiara posted.

One of the women began to cry out of frustration, but this man's response left Tiara more infuriated than anything else:

How is this OK? Why is it that we are still shaming mothers for feeding openly? Why do we have to go to the bathroom to feed our littles? Do you eat your food in the bathroom? No. Are you eating under a blanket? No. DO NOT TELL A MOTHER that she needs to go to the bathroom during an outing with friends to feed her little one. I am just in true disbelief that people still think it's okay to have a mother feeding in a place where we use the bathroom. How is that even sanitary?

Signed,
ONE PISSED OFF AND ANGRY MOTHER.

The Aurora Police Department wrote on Facebook that they are investigating the situation as it has been brought to the Chief of Police's attention and that they take Tiara's complaint "very seriously."

How Your Favorite Celebrities Are Celebrating International Women's Day

Some of your favorite celebrities have already started celebrating International Women's Day, a global holiday that seeks to honor all the achievements of women and take a stand for gender equality. Emma Watson, who plays bookworm Belle in Beauty and the Beast, hid feminist books in NYC, while Adele quoted Canadian politician Charlotte Whitton on Twitter. Following the overwhelming success of the Women's March in January, the same organization has also called for women to participate in A Day Without a Woman by taking time off work, attending rallies, wearing red in solidarity, and supporting small businesses owned by women or minorities. People Stop Alec Baldwin on the Street to Thank Him For His Trump Impression

James Corden brought two of Hollywood's most politically vocal actors, Kerry Washington and Alec Baldwin, to The Late Late Show on Tuesday night, and they didn't waste any time ripping into the president. "Well it used to be that on our show we did shocking storylines . . . but we're like Little House on the Prairie compared to this administration," the Scandal actress joked, adding that "If you don't laugh, you'll cry." Luckily Alec's spot-on Donald Trump impression on Saturday Night Live has been keeping plenty of people laughing throughout the last few months.

After mentioning that people stop him on the street to thank him for the impression, the late-night host showed Alec a photo of him and the president at a charity gala years earlier. "He was a different person," Alec said. "He was very gregarious, and kind of backslapping and social. I didn't know him well, I would run into him. He's not at all like he is now. He won the election, he's president of the United States, but he still looks incredibly constipated." Only time will tell if this is enough to ignite another Twitter feud between Alec and the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air guest star.
