The Hysterical Differences Between Your First and Second Child

With children comes experience, so it's no surprise that many parents do things slightly different the second time around. And despite best intentions to keep everything equal between your firstborn and newest addition to the family, there are some changes that are bound to creep in that can be classified as second child syndrome. Whether you've given up on solely the homemade, organic baby food well before your second child's first month or you suddenly realized that they're almost 8 months old and you have yet to take a month-by-month photo, these babies have a slightly different experience. While your younger kiddos get to benefit from a more knowledgeable (and hopefully less nervous!) mama, some of these evolutions are too funny not to acknowledge.

Check out the 12 differences between your first and second baby that proves that the struggle can be very real for the younger kiddo.

1 Big Difference Between Riverdale's Jughead and the Comic Book Version

In the short amount of time Riverdale has been on TV, it has already garnered a widespread fanbase. Of course, with its juicy plots and stellar cast, it shouldn't really come as a surprise. Even though the series is based on the Archie Comics, it has certainly taken a much darker turn with Jason Blossom's murder mystery. While some stories have stayed the same, there is one crucial difference that has some fans upset: Jughead is not asexual. We're not going to lie, we are definitely shipping him and Betty, but we can't help but wonder what will happen with his character down the line.

Just because he's currently romancing Betty doesn't mean that he won't be revealed to be asexual in future seasons. Cole Sprouse, the actor behind the character, has even talked about the possibility during multiple interviews. "I personally would love to see that exploration," he told Emerald City. "But it seems to me that they [the writers] are not going to explore that angle." While he argues that it would be great to have that kind of representation on TV, he also points out that Jughead's asexuality has only been canon in one iteration of the Archie universe: Chip Zdarsky's recent story in Jughead No. 4, which just printed in 2016. We guess only time will tell.

The Vampire Diaries: Who Is Most Likely to Die in the Finale?

There is ONE episode left of The Vampire Diaries, and we can already tell that the final goodbye is going to be a tough one. Not only are a handful of old cast members returning, but we recently learned that the finale will also feature a major character death. While we definitely know that Elena Gilbert will be one of the attendees at the funeral, the fate of the rest of the characters is still up in the air. Since we love theorizing about the show, we're breaking down the five most likely suspects for that HUGE plot twist. Read at your own risk.

5. Matt

Could Matt's family have even more dark secrets? It's possible that Maxwell hell bell had some lingering magic left in it that could lead to his death. Although, if we're being completely honest here, Matt has managed to stay alive, and human for that matter, for eight seasons, so we don't really think Julie Plec would decide to kill him off now.

4. Caroline

Caroline's death would certainly be the most unexpected. Maybe she decides to take the cure to be human with Stefan and something goes wrong? Although, out of all the characters, Caroline has always been the most content with her vampirism. We can't see her compromising that for a guy, even if it is Stefan Salvatore.

3. Bonnie

Unless Kai breaks his spell, Elena's life is still linked to Bonnie's. And seeing that Nina Dobrev is officially returning for the finale, we can't help but wonder if that means BonBon will meet an untimely demise. Although, the way Plec has talked about how emotional the finale will be, her death seems a bit too on-the-nose.

2. Damon

This death would definitely be a blow to the heart. Not only is the final scene set at the Salvatore house, but Entertainment Weekly did say that Elena would be the last person to say goodbye at the funeral. Perhaps she was having one final moment with her true love? While we can only imagine the water works this scene would cause Delena fans, Plec did confirm that Elena and Damon will come face to face in the finale.

1. Stefan

Ever since Stefan took the cure and become mortal, he has been fixated on making up for his past sins. Could the final key to redemption and making up for turning Damon into a vampire be reuniting him with his true love? Perhaps, instead of Bonnie dying, Stefan finds a way to link his life with Elena's instead. Not only did Paul Wesley admit to tearing up over his final script, but he also revealed that his final scene is with Dobrev. What if the finale teaser is actually Stefan saying his last goodbye?

7 Signs Your Spouse Is a Walking Dead Superfan

The Walking Dead returned for its midseason premiere several weeks ago on AMC. I know this because I am married to a TWD fanatic, and he had been reminding me of the premiere date for two months prior - but go ahead and watch him squirm when you ask for the date of his mom's birthday.

He breathes, sleeps, and eats The Walking Dead. Well, he doesn't eat the "walking dead" - that would make him a walker. Wait, do walkers eat other walkers? I don't think so, I'll ask him. Actually, I won't ask him, because his answer will be 15 minutes long and I'll have to sit through it.

Is this all sounding a little too familiar? Wondering if you too are married to a Walking Dead fanboy or -girl? Here are seven signs.

1. They will relentlessly point out the differences between the show and the comic book.

Oh boy, this is annoying. If you're like me, a casual TWD viewer, you do not care about the source material nor do you care how the show strays from it. Your superfan spouse, however, will definitely care and definitely say things like, "Oh, that's not how it happened in the comic book." Or even better, they will pause the show in order to give you a full lecture on the differences. It will sound something like this, "OK, so this is totally different from the comic book, blah, blah, blah, Negan, blah, Rick, blah, hand cut off, blah, blah." I'm paraphrasing.

2. They will call you in the middle of the day to talk about their newest theory.

Because the show does not follow the comic book (who cares?), your fanatic loved one does not actually know what's going to happen next. This leads to theories. There are so many theories. If you're lucky, your superfan spouse will call you in the middle of the day and just launch into a theory. You might be working, or eating lunch; you might be minding your own business not caring at all about what happens next on The Walking Dead. Doesn't matter. You will listen to their theories. In sickness and in health, and in listening to shows you don't care about.

3. On Sunday mornings they will say to you, "Oh, yay, Walking Dead tonight."

This one is pretty self-explanatory, but I must point out, it's every Sunday. Depending on your mood, you can try to match their enthusiasm or you can just be like, "Yep."

4. If you criticize The Walking Dead, they will passionately defend it.

Oh man, you said something bad about The Walking Dead? Whoo-ee, you are new here. Yes, I know the show is kind of repetitive, often borders on melodrama, the violence can be over the top, and Rick's hair always looks wet. I advise keeping these opinions to yourself unless you're prepared to listen to long-winded speeches about grasping on to humanity, the thin line between heroes and villains, and Rick's Colt Python gun. I know, I'm already rolling my eyes, too.

5. They will maybe start to dress like Rick Grimes.

But be on the watch for black skinny jeans, shearling-lined jackets, and well-worn Western shirts. Hopefully they'll skip the sheriff hat.

6. They will go crazy over Negan.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is sexy, and that's a fact. His Walking Dead character, Negan, is a violent psychopath who likes to bludgeon people to death with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. This causes an internal struggle for me because obviously he's horrible, but also I still kind of want to make out with him? We've gone a little off topic here. Chances are your significant other thinks Negan is the best TWD character ever and watches his scenes with near reverence.

7. They will rewatch old episodes over and over again.

Thought you were going to get a break from The Walking Dead while the show is on hiatus? Nope. Your superfan spouse will have downloaded all the episodes from seasons past. This means they can pull up their favorites at will and will proceed to tell you what makes them so great. Did you know you can watch the pilot episode in black and white? Yes, you can. Yes, I wish I didn't know that.

Ed Sheeran Can Do Anything, Covers 50 Cent .2 Seconds After He's Asked To

Is there anything Ed Sheeran can't do? No. The answer is no. The singer, who recently released his first album in nearly three years, Divide, stopped by The Howard Stern Show this week to further prove his musical talents. After the host told Sheeran that he wanted to hear some covers because he thinks he does "really interesting takes on other people's music," Sheeran happily obliged. Howard then brought up doing something for 50 Cent's "In Da Club," and Sheeran launched right into an amazing cover without any practice. He also sang Coldplay's "Yellow" and Blackstreet's "No Diggity." Watch the entire thing above to be completely blown away.

How My Daughter Became a Rainbow Baby to Herself

After trying for years, we decided to go to a fertility specialist to help us to start a family. The long and short of it is that there were lots of biological challenges, so we headed down the IVF road with the leading specialist in the country. We were lucky and our first round of treatment was textbook; two embryos were placed and we crossed our fingers.

Fast forward to testing day, and yes, I totally cheated and took a home pregnancy test the day before - and it was positive! You can imagine the relief and excitement. Then we were off to the doctor, where blood tests and a scan confirmed there was one fabulous little bun in the oven ready to cook.

Then, after constant blood tests and monitoring, another scan showed a little flickering heartbeat at six and a half weeks. There were no words to describe what it felt like to see that. At seven weeks and two days, we had our final scan appointment with our specialist before being released to the care of a midwife.

And that's when it all unraveled.

His words were clear but not what we expected. "No heartbeat, not viable, the baby has arrested, very sorry, I'll send you through to the nurse and she'll explain the options from here." Feeling numb, we listened as the nurse said we could either wait for "it" to happen naturally or they could arrange for a dilation and curettage procedure (D&C).

Driving home, through my tears, all I could think was I didn't feel different. I know they had said I had a miscarriage and they were the experts, but how could that be?

That week was full of grief, but in the back of my mind, I couldn't shake still feeling pregnant. When more blood tests came back with increasing hormone levels, I questioned the nurses, but they said, "Sometimes that happens." I must have seemed like a complete lunatic; I questioned the nurses at every turn, and my best friend, family, and husband (while amazing and supportive) were all starting to wonder if I was completely losing the plot.

I just couldn't believe the diagnosis; either I was in denial or going crazy. I swung between grief and disbelief.

In the insanity of that week, I was referred to the miscarriage clinic at our public hospital. I had asked for another scan, but the specialist was resolute and we were now in the "public" system. I'll never forget reading the words on his referral letter requesting an "immediate evacuation of the uterus" because I wasn't "coping."

There I was at the clinic being given the same options: wait it out or schedule a D&C. But I needed them to check. I needed to know I was doing the right thing, so I asked for a scan. Reluctantly and with a "well, if that's what you need to feel comfortable, we can arrange that," the clinic doctor agreed.

I headed back to the public hospital the next day for the ultrasound. I remember saying, "I think we're probably just confirming the inevitable but I need to check," as I handed over the referral documents.

She started scanning. A couple of minutes later she stopped, cocked her head a little, leaned into the screen, scanned more, looked closer, and then turned to me and said: "I don't know what he was looking at, but what I see here is a perfectly viable baby with a good heartbeat. And it appears to be measuring ahead of expected."

I felt my heart drop. WHAT? She reread my notes and asked if I would wait for a moment while she went to get her boss. While she was out of the room, I rang my husband. I could hear his jaw hit the floor. No sooner had I hung up than the head of the department came in. They scanned again and got the same result. At that point I'm not sure who looked more shocked or happier, them or me. "Well, I don't know how this happened, but you are definitely pregnant. We'll be sending the doctor a report, but would you like to ring and tell him, or would you like us to?"

Calling the fertility clinic that afternoon was awesome, and yes they were as shocked as everyone else. It was nice for me to know that after being treated like I was crazy, I was actually right.

I met again with the doctor who had misdiagnosed my miscarriage, and he asked if he could do a scan too so that he could see, but of course I said no. I didn't trust him anymore. He apologized and said he wasn't sure how it happened. He suggested maybe there were two and he just hadn't seen the other one. I really didn't want to hear his excuses. He had made a terrible, terrible mistake, one that would have killed my child if I had gone along as he recommended and had that D&C.

What I found out through this process is that when you are diagnosed with a miscarriage and booked for a D&C, no further scanning is done before the operation. They simply take the report as correct and proceed. If I hadn't insisted on another scan, my beautiful little girl wouldn't be here. Sure, I'd be none the wiser, but knowing what happened and how close we were to losing her is something I can never forget or forgive.

I'd love to say that the pregnancy was problem free, and medically it was, but having already "lost" her once made it an emotional horror story. I was completely paranoid every single day. From renting a fetal doppler to employing an expensive obstetrician and insisting on regular scans, I just couldn't relax and enjoy it. I'm probably one of the only mothers who has been relieved to have a breech baby and an early C-section, but honestly I just wanted to have her out alive. I couldn't stand the thought that something might still go wrong.

I guess this is what it's like for most women who are pregnant after loss; pregnant with rainbow babies. The only difference is that mine was essentially a rainbow baby to herself.

I know that most of the time a miscarriage is just that and my situation is rare, but if you find yourself in this terrible, heartbreaking situation, don't rush into a decision. Please always get a second opinion, and trust yourself.

An 8-Week Plan to Make You a Runner

A runner isn't born overnight: it takes weeks of building up and training the body to get used to moving this way. If running is one of your goals, here's an eight-week plan to get you running 30 minutes straight. Whether you enjoy running outside in the fresh air, or hitting the treadmill at your gym, this plan will turn you into a runner in just two months.

Could Mace Windu Be Supreme Leader Snoke? This Theory Is Very Convincing

When it comes to the newest Star Wars trilogy, so much is still shrouded in mystery. Since watching 2015's Episode VII (The Force Awakens), our primary focus has been on the main character, Rey. The world at large couldn't stop theorizing about the identity of her parents. Now that we know Episode VIII has been titled The Last Jedi, our minds are spinning even more trying to figure out who the title is referring to. Among all of these questions, one even larger mystery seems to linger: we're talking about the identity of Supreme Leader Snoke. As we consider the suspects, one new theory has come totally out of left field. What if Mace Windu, played by Samuel L. Jackson in Episode I, Episode II, and Episode III, is the mysterious new villain? Let's break down the logic behind the claim.

Mace Windu Might Still Be Alive

Jackson stated in a Twitter Q&A in June 2016 that he thinks Mace Windu is alive. "In my mind, he's alive. [Jedi] can fall incredibly high distances and not die." It's worth noting that Mace Windu loses a hand and experiences the full impact of Palpatine's Force lightning before he's flung out of a window to his death. That said, no Jedi has ever died in the series from any of those three types of injury. In fact, some characters have survived falls of even greater distances. If Mace Windu doesn't die in Episode III, there are unlimited options for where he could be.

But How Could Mace Become as Disfigured as Snoke?

As is clearly evidenced in that very same scene, the reason Palpatine becomes so deformed is because of his own Force lightning deflected back at him. It stands to reason that Windu could develop the same horrifying scars and pallor from Palpatine's attack. Snoke's huge head scar could be from Windu's great fall. And, hey, they're both bald. It's worth noting.

Wouldn't He Be Old as Hell, Though?

Yes, but that doesn't mean his survival up through the new trilogy is out of the question. After all, Snoke does say he witnessed the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire, meaning he was around during the first two trilogies. This means he could very well be Mace Windu.

Mace Windu Is in Touch With the Dark Side

Mace Windu notably harnesses the power of the dark side, even in spite of the fact that he's a Jedi knight. Even his purple lightsaber is an indicator that he straddles both sides. The trademark blue of the Jedi could mix with the red of the Sith to get this very color.

Mace Windu's Motive For Revenge

So, why would he turn to the dark side? Well, the fact that he's betrayed by Anakin Skywalker may be reason enough. We know Snoke is determined to find Luke Skywalker, and using Anakin's betrayal as a motivating force would explain why. Plus! If you subscribe to the theory that Rey is actually a Palpatine, it strengthens the argument and explains why Snoke is so obsessed with her. After all, Mace Windu would want to get back at Palpatine for everything he does in that supposed death scene.

There are even more layers to this, but that's the gist. If you're interested in Mace Windu's signature lightsaber move, his connection to Finn, and the further involvement with Kylo Ren, this video outlines everything in much more detail:

This Toddler Couldn't Care Less That He's in the Presence of Royalty

The British royal family stepped out on Thursday to attend a dedication service of the Iraq and Afghanistan memorial at London's Horse Guards Parade. While most the afternoon was refined in typical royal fashion (Kate Middleton looked lovely and talked about her children, Prince Harry sadly kept his shirt on, etc.), one person wasn't feeling it at all. When Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, approached 2-year-old Alfie Lun and his parents, all he wanted to do was get away. The adorable toddler wiggled out of his mom's arms while he was supposed to be presenting the queen with a bouquet of flowers. He continued to fidget and sit on the ground before his mom picked him up. Since the queen has four children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, she kept her cool during the whole ordeal since it's perfectly normal for kids to say in their own way, "Mom, I'm done here."

How to Channel the '80s Without Looking Too Hard Core

If you keep track of fashion, then you know we began to see '80s influence on the Fall 2016 runways - and it's extended to Fall 2017 too. Bold shoulders, wrapped leather miniskirts, flashy metallic shoes, and wide belts that cinched the waist all confirmed these decade-specific trends are back. But they're refreshed and modern, so you don't have to be over the top about your look.

Just take a step back: instead of thinking costume-like (i.e. leg warmers, scrunchies, and slashed tees), slowly introduce '80s-inspired pieces into your own wardrobe, and don't let them overwhelm your outfit. Some of our favorite bloggers are already pros.

They've been swapping off-the-shoulder tops for poufy sleeves but keeping it simple in a favorite pair of jeans. They're working one standout statement earring, but completing the look with a feminine designer bag. Just read on for a few tips and tricks, then shop some key essentials that will help you warm up to the idea.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's Touching Message to Buffy Fans Is a Must Read

Some stars seek to distance themselves from certain career-defining roles, but Sarah Michelle Gellar has always embraced her part in Buffy the Vampire Slayer - even decades after the premiere. The very first episode aired 20 years ago on Friday, and Gellar took the opportunity to speak to the fans about how much their support has meant to her. She tweeted and posted a variety of Buffy-related stuff on Facebook, but this lengthy letter to fans is what really got us choked up:

"20 years ago today, I had the greatest privilege to bring Buffy to your TV screens for the first time. It was a long and challenging road to get there. First the movie, then a passed over pilot presentation, and eventually a mid season time slot on a little known network. That first season, we liked to think of ourselves as the little show that could. While we knew the potential, I don't think any of us saw the lasting impact our show would have. As an actor, you wish for that one role where you can leave your mark and forever be remembered, with Buffy I got so much more. She's a feminist challenge to gender hierarchy. Buffy may have been the Chosen One, but I was the lucky one. Thank you to Gail Berman for always believing there was a show in that movie. Thank you to Joss Whedon, for trusting me to give life to one of the greatest female characters ever created. Thank you to David, for always being my Angel. Thank you to James for understanding that while Buffy and Spike may have been love/hate, I have nothing but love for you. Alyson, as any woman knows, you are nothing without the love and support of great female friends, so thank you for being that. Michelle, you will always hold a key to my heart. Thank you to all the incredible actors for seven seasons of amazing performances. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the incredible crew that worked tirelessly (and also really tired) to bring this show to life. And lastly, but most importantly thank you to all of you, the fans. We made this show for you, and your unwavering support has kept this show going long past our seven years. You are everything. And always remember . . . 'if the apocalypse comes, beep me' #buffyslays20"

This isn't the first time she's expressed her gratitude; on the 13th anniversary of the show's finale, she posted a passionate letter on Instagram. This is why 20 years later, Buffy is still our role model.

Why Disney's "Exclusively Gay Moment" Doesn't Deliver at All

Warning: this post contains implied homosexual spoilers.

Recently, news broke that the new live-action Beauty and the Beast would feature its first openly gay character. The film's director, Bill Condon, confirmed the info in Attitude's April issue: "LeFou [Josh Gad] is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston [Luke Evans] and on another day wants to kiss Gaston . . . [it] has its payoff at the end, which I don't want to give away. But it is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie." While the announcement led to inevitable backlash from some, others called into question this claim that LeFou would be Disney's "first" openly gay character. Let me tell you, after seeing the film, the skepticism was well placed. In fact, not only is LeFou decidedly not an openly gay Disney character, but the "exclusively gay moment" hardly earns that distinction.

Before we dive into the minutiae of the problem, let me explain how this "exclusively gay moment" goes down. The first thing the film attempts to do is establish that LeFou is attracted to men. The musical number "Gaston" does the bulk of the legwork here, giving LeFou effeminate dance moves and mannerisms. At one point, he hugs Gaston a little too tightly for a little too long and asks, "Too much?" Finally, at the end of the song, Gaston asks why LeFou hasn't been snatched up by a woman, he says, "I've been told I'm . . . clingy." Which seems like a non sequitur.

The filmmakers felt the need to introduce a second gay character, but who? After all, Gaston is an unattainable heterosexual man who would never in a million years return LeFou's obvious affection. This means his only option is another person in the town: Stanley, one of the bar patrons that LeFou mentions by name while singing. Stanley is already clearly designated as a "gay" character in the most shallow sense. He's better looking than all the other patrons, his hair is perfectly coiffed, and he's immaculately dressed, complete with a neck scarf flourish.

Hm, which one of these men could Stanley be?

To further "confirm" Stanley's sexuality, we get another moment during the epic fight scene at the end when the townspeople descend on the castle and clash with all the enchanted furniture. Madame de Garderobe, the opera singer who has transformed into a wardrobe, attacks the same three men by covering them in an avalanche of clothing, ribbon, and wigs. As a gag, the trio is suddenly glammed up in flawless makeup and full ballgowns. While two of them men are upset by the drag, Stanley is visibly thrilled, so much so that he strikes a sassy pose. Madame Garderobe encourages him to go forth and proudly be himself, in so many words. Stanley trots gleefully down the stairs and exits the castle.

So when does our "exclusively gay moment" happen? At the very end, there's a ball to celebrate the "happily ever after" of Belle and her prince. We can see LeFou has a female dance partner on the dance floor, but everyone switches and he winds up dancing with Stanley. The two look at each other, for a beat, and then we cut to another couple. That's it. Are you sensing any problems here? Allow me to make a few statements:

  1. Dressing well and styling your hair does not make you gay.
  2. Wearing women's clothes does not make you gay.
  3. Enjoying drag culture does not make you gay.
  4. Dancing with someone of the same gender at a party does not make you gay.
  5. Dancing with someone of the same gender at a party is not a "gay moment."

The issue is that Disney believes these are proper ways to establish sexuality and romance between characters. In reality, an individual's homosexuality is not confirmed unless they explicitly mention their romantic attraction to individuals of the same gender. Before you suggest there's no place for something like this in a Disney movie, consider how freely Gaston voices his attraction to Belle. Why doesn't LeFou ever admit he's attracted to Stanley, or vice versa? Are they even attracted to each other, or are they just shoved together because they're both gay? Why, when Gaston asks about his experience with women, doesn't he somehow suggest he's never been romantically inclined toward them? Why couldn't LeFou and Stanley peck on the lips or say something undeniably gay in their "exclusively gay moment" together?

In reality, Disney has left the moment and the characters' sexual identities buried in the subtext. And this is not groundbreaking representation for the LGBTQ community. In fact, as the internet has duly noted, there are plenty of implicitly gay characters in Disney history. Judging by how groundbreaking they thought this whole ordeal would be, though, we're quite far from a Disney character who exclaims, "I'm gay!" and kisses another same-gendered Disney character. Strap in, it's going to be quite a while before our gay "happily ever after."

Ed Sheeran's "Galway Girl" Is Your New St. Patrick's Day Theme Song

Ed Sheeran has been dominating the charts, the radio, and award shows with his hit single, "Shape of You," but when his full Divide album was released on March 3, a few other songs quickly made their way onto our playlists. One of them, "Galway Girl," has caused a wave of attention due to the fact that St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner and the girl the song was reportedly inspired by has already been identified. The song, which seems to incorporate a bit of the background music from the original by Steve Earle, is about a night Ed spent drinking on Dublin's famous Grafton Street, where he met a girl in an Irish band and they ended up hitting it off.

The woman behind the lyrics is reportedly Niamh Dunne from the band Beoga, whom Ed teamed up with for the song. A few things don't add up, however, as Niamh is from Limerick and not Galway, and she just got married in January. "I'm so happy with 'Galway Girl', Ed Sheeran knows how to write a great pop song and it's so catchy," she told Ireland's RTÉ. "As for being the inspiration I dunno if you could go that far really, Christ almighty and I am a Limerick woman! My sister said she knew straight away it couldn't be about me when later in the song she beats him at darts and pool." Either way, the song is so much fun and will be all over the bars come March 17.

Why Buffy the Vampire Slayer Is Still the Best Show of All Time, 20 Years Later

The Slayer herself may not be immortal, but the legacy of Buffy the Vampire Slayer still lives on. It's been 20 years since the best show of all time premiered, and without it, I wouldn't be the person I am today - and I know countless others can say the same. My obsession with BTVS began when I was in fourth grade (I had to sneak episodes while my parents were out), and that obsession hasn't wavered since.

The show, created by Joss Whedon, is extremely well-written, with a perfect mix of humor and horror, of seriousness and silliness. It's undeniably and infinitely quotable. With an iconic performance from Sarah Michelle Gellar, Buffy taught me how to be a feminist, she taught me how to be open-minded, and she taught me to be strong. The show stands the test of time, so here's why even after two decades (!), it's still one of the best shows of all time. And in the wise words of the leading woman herself, if you don't agree - bite me.

4 Ways Kids Ruin Your Social Life (and 4 Ways They Make It Incredible!)

Before I had kids, I was extremely social. I had dinner out with friends more nights than not, I worked in a profession that required me to go to events at least a few times a week where the drinks and apps were always free and flowing, and I always had a full calendar on the weekends. It was fun, if at times a little tiring, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. Then, at almost 32 years old, after a solid 14 years of regular partying, I had my daughter, and damn, did my social life change overnight.

Suddenly, instead of staying up until 2 a.m. on a Saturday and sleeping until noon, I was crashing at 8 p.m., trying to sneak in some sleep before her midnight feeding. I was too tired to put on makeup and still sporting 20 pounds of baby weight that ensured none of my favorite going-out outfits would have fit anyway. The party was literally over . . . until it wasn't. Six years later, I've learned that kids will definitely torpedo your social life in the beginning, but then strangely, they help you get it back.

Here are four ways they'll kill your party vibe, and four ways they'll help you rediscover it.

  • Party foul: they can't watch themselves. Ever hear someone say that they're prepared to have a baby because they have a dog? Sure, you smile and nod, but what you're really thinking? You've never had to call all your relatives and multiple babysitters just to find someone to watch your dog so you can make it to girls' night. No responsible childcare, no night out for mama, and good sitters are hard to find, especially on a Saturday night.
  • Party foul: they make going out twice as expensive. Guess why parents hardly ever see movies? Need a clue? Take two $12 tickets, add another $20 for popcorn and drinks, then add $50 for a babysitter, and that theater experience just cost you almost $100. Six months later, you can watch it on demand for $6, if you can stay awake, which brings us to the next point . . .
  • Party foul: they make you too tired to stay up to watch a movie, let alone hit the town. Socializing is a lot of work. There's the making of plans, the washing and drying of one's hair, the wearing of clothes that don't have an elastic waistband. For exhausted parents, staying in, ordering pizza, and rocking pajamas has never sounded better.
  • Party foul: they make hangovers so much worse. One of my favorite parenting stories to date comes from two of my high school friends, who are married with two kids. One day, they were so hungover, they made a game out of throwing chips at their kids, who gleefully caught them and ate them. And that was lunch - because nursing a hangover and being a good parent just don't mix.
  • Party on: they help you meet new friends. Once your kids are old enough for regular classes, preschool, and park outings that don't involve you having to watch them every second, they (totally unintentionally) become the best wingmen ever. Occasionally, they'll befriend kids who have cool parents, and you'll jump on that faster than you can say "wine at a play date."
  • Party on: they love to let loose. Kids are the original partiers. They get dirty, dance inappropriately, get hopped up on sugar, and sometimes even get naked just to show you how much fun they're having. You can get stressed about it, or you can go with it, but I recommend the latter.
  • Party on: they help you weed out toxic friendships. Having kids raises your bullsh*t detector and helps you weed out the friends who bring only negativity to your life. Not only are they the perfect excuse to say you're unavailable and therefore avoid toxic people, but they'll also change your outlook on life so much that you'll wonder why you had those people around in the first place.
  • Party on: they make the times you do get out even more fun. Sure, I no longer have a standing sushi girls' dinner on Thursdays like I did in my 20s, but when I do get to have a kid-free night out with my best friends, you better believe it's just as much fun. Actually, it might even be better because the rarity makes it extraspecial.

Emily Ratajkowski Looks Incredible During a Beach Day With Her Boyfriend

Emily Ratajkowski is no stranger to showing some skin, and we love her for it. The model and actress, who has been incredibly outspoken about women's freedom to express their sexuality however they see fit, looked amazing when she hit the beach with boyfriend Jeff Magid in Malibu on Thursday. Emily rocked a white bikini as she soaked up the sun and enjoyed a few beers with her man.

The Gone Girl actress, who frequently posts steamy photos on Instagram, opened up to InStyle for its March 2017 issue about being comfortable in her own skin. "The main criticism that I get is, 'Aren't you just conforming to a patriarchal standard of beauty?'" she said. "Well, this is just the body I was given. I didn't do anything to it - it's just my body. But even if I had altered it, that would be fine too. It's up to me to choose when and how I want to share my sexuality." Preach, girl.

10 Quotes That Will Get You Stoked on Game of Thrones Season 7

We've still got months until the premiere of Game of Thrones season seven, but there's no time to waste. With just a few precious episodes left before the series comes to a close, we're looking at any and every hint that will tell us of what's to come. That means analyzing theories, poring over all the set pictures, and even scrutinizing every behind-the-scenes Instagram. On top of all that, there's one other source that may give us a clue of what to expect when season seven rolls around: the cast and crew themselves! We've pulled all the cryptic quotes we've gotten about what's next.

  • Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) is sure it will top every other season: "I can tell you that this season somehow is going to blow everyone's minds even more than the last. . . . The momentum that we've been building up for sort of really kicks into gear. . . . Storylines are happening and sort of combining and crashing together. It's a very, very dynamic season. I'm really excited for people to watch it."
  • John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) thinks the ending could be bleak: "It's interesting thinking about the end of Game of Thrones. Because we don't know how it ends. We don't know who wins or who loses. We've got no idea what kind of story we're telling. We don't know if it's an indictment of how bad people can triumph if good men do nothing, or a redemptive story about good triumphing over evil. We just don't know, so that mystery has fed in to everything we've done so far."
  • Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) shared the one thing we can expect: "A huge cliffhanger . . . it's just kind of tumbling now. . . . We've come to the climax and it's rolling down to the end. It's exciting. I really felt like at the end of last season everything was set up for how it was going to end. Every character came to a little junction in their lives. Now we're all going to crash down together to however this show ends."
  • Kit Harington (Jon Snow) thinks it will get worse before it gets better: "I think it's going to get very bleak before, if there is a happy ending. I think it's going to get very dark before it gets better. I think what we might see this season is those White Walkers and that Army of the Dead really come into force. . . . I think with the whole 'Winter is finally here' business, it means everyone is going to have a really bad time."
  • Harington also teased a highly anticipated moment: "They really focused [the action] because less characters are coming in, and they're focusing in on the existing ones, and there are lots of people who cross paths, and that's something that I think the audience has been waiting for for a long time."
  • Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) has some thoughts about Sansa and Jon Snow: "She thinks they should both be king and queen of the North for sure. I'm not sure about the Iron Throne. I'm not sure she's so keen on that anymore. I'm not sure she believes that Jon is capable of running Winterfell. I think she thinks he doesn't have the intellect, the knowledge, the experience that she has, and I concur. She knows he has wonderful morals and those Stark morals that inevitably he'll make the right decision - or the good decision - but whether it's going to benefit anyone is another story."
  • D.B. Weiss (cocreator) thinks Cersei could go mad: "That's what so much of next season is going to be about: finding out what Cersei's mindset is. Who is she? While Cersei has certainly done a lot of horrible things in her life and she could be a very cruel person, the one thing that was redemptive about her was that she genuinely loved her children. Now they're all gone, and I think that is very interesting for us. Who is she without her children? The answer is something you'll find out next season."
  • Weiss insists Daenerys Targaryen will set everything into motion: "Once she gets on those ships and crosses West, that's when the clock on the end game starts ticking. The question has been: When is she going to get back across the Narrow Sea? When is she going to take back her homeland? It's been a long time for her, and it's been something that's such an imperative for people watching. You know she's not going to go there for a beach vacation . . . when she gets back to Westeros, it's on. Her return is the first domino."
  • David Benioff (cocreator) hints The Night King is headed further south: "The Wall isn't just a physical structure keeping the army of the dead out. If the Wildlings managed to make it over, which they have, and the Night King has so much more in the way of both power and troops who'll do literally anything he says . . . we'll keep it at that for now."
  • Benioff dishes on the endgame: "The pieces are on the board now. Some of the pieces have been removed from the board and we are heading toward the end game. The thing that has excited us from the beginning, back to the way we pitched it to HBO is, it's not supposed to be an ongoing show, where every season it's trying to figure out new story lines. We wanted it to be one giant story, without padding it out to add an extra 10 hours, or because people are still watching it. We wanted to something where, if people watched it end to end, it would make sense as one continuous story. We're definitely heading into the end game now."

Game of Thrones: That Thing We've All Been Waiting For Is About to Happen

Winter is coming, for real this time. Now that we have a premiere date for Game of Thrones season seven, we're attempting to scrape together every last detail and theory about the new season. In a March 10 interview with The Huffington Post, star Kit Harington revealed some very interesting info about what's coming up in the seven-episode season. Here are the highlights:

  • That big meeting you've been waiting for? It's happening. "I certainly did more this season than I've ever done," Harington said. "I think every actor on it did more action, had more action, had more scenes. They really focused it because less characters are coming in, and they're focusing in on the existing ones, and there are lots of people who cross paths, and that's something that I think the audience has been waiting for for a long time." So . . . he's totally talking about Dany and Jon, right? Set pictures have basically confirmed that they meet each other, and our hearts need it to happen.
  • In addition to more action, there will be more CGI. "They spent an increasing amount of money on less episodes, so it's gonna be much bigger in scale, the CGI . . . we're trying new things, experimenting with new camera techniques. I think we're trying to break boundaries and push past boundaries in these final two seasons." Does this mean more dragons?!
  • Prepare to see things we've never seen before. "You have to live up to the hype that's surrounded the show and the worst thing would be to end without really pushing and trying new things. Even if it's a failure, at least trying to go out with a bang."

We're breathing very heavily right now. Too bad we have to wait until July for the premiere! In the meantime, check out the new characters and find out what else the cast has said.

The Incredible Way 1 Woman Managed to Breastfeed Her Newly Adopted Baby

After being told that she would never biologically be a mother, one woman was coming to terms with the news. "My eggs were no good and after 7 IUI, 2 IVF, and one donor FET all leading to two chemical pregnancies; the doctors, my husband, and I decided that pregnancy was just not something I was going to experience in the journey to parenthood," the anonymous woman shared on Breastfeeding Mama Talk's Facebook page.

Instead, the couple decided to move forward with their dreams of starting a family by perusing adoption. As they began the required training and home studies, this mom started the Newman Goldfarb protocol, which helps moms bring in "a substantial milk supply" without going through a pregnancy. "Nine months after starting the protocol I started pumping, and within four months I had donated 1700 ounces of milk to keep some room in our freezer for food and to help some locals mamas out," she shared.

A year after she first started the protocol, their family learned that they had been chosen to adopt a baby whose birth mom was excited to know that she would be able to breastfeed.

Though I couldn't create life I had learned that I could sustain it, and through all of the struggles of inducing lactation it was worth it. Breastfeeding is more than the milk, it's the connection, the quiet moments, the warmth and the bond. To the adoptive mamas out there waiting, keep going, it's so worth it, and if you never knew that adoptive breastfeeding was an option, it is, and it's incredible.

In Atomic Blonde, the Oscar winner stars as MI6's deadliest assassin, Agent Lorraine Broughton, as she makes her way through the seedy underbelly of Berlin. The film features some John Wick-worthy fight scenes (likely thanks to director David Leitch, who also helmed the Keanu Reeves action flick), and costars James McAvoy, so we're already in heaven. Watch the first trailer above before it hits theaters on July 28.
