Even an Engineer Can't Solve This Second-Grade Math Problem

Parents often find themselves helping children with their homework, and once in a while even the adults struggle to solve a difficult problem. One parent, however, was so stumped by his child's homework that he took his frustration to the Internet. The father, Jeff Severt, was trying to help his second-grade son with a math equation that incorporates the new Common Core standards. The problem asks students to help "Jack," a fictional student who used a number line to find the answer to the subtraction problem 427-316. The students must write a letter to Jack explaining what he did right and what he did wrong. Severt, who has a bachelor's degree in engineering, says he spent two hours trying to help his son solve that one problem before giving up and writing an apologetic letter to Jack.

Critics of Common Core education say this problem is a prime example of the standards being "nonsensical and stupid." With this particular assignment, critics say it turned a simple assignment into "a complex endeavor with a series of unnecessary steps."

To see what creators of the Common Core standards have to say about the equations, read the full story on The Huffington Post.

The 4 Brand-New Songs From Beauty and the Beast

We've been looking forward to the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack just as much as we've been looking forward to the actual movie. Ahead of the film's release, Disney unleashed all the original songs upon us, including the four brand-new ones created for the film. While every track from the original 1991 movie gets an update (shout-out to Ariana Grande and John Legend's incredible "Beauty and the Beast" duet), you won't find these songs on the original soundtrack at all. Listen below, and try not to sob at Céline Dion's new song.

STOP! Read This Before Opening an Expensive Bottle of Red Wine

You just got a promotion, your best friend just got engaged, or your significant other came home with a beautiful steak begging to be paired with a luxurious red wine and you reach for that 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon you've been tenderly caring for in your wine fridge for the last 10 years, because today is the day you're ready to celebrate! But before you decant that red and "let it breathe" like you've heard time and time again - STOP! You might just kill your wine. While visiting Silver Oak in Alexander Valley, I learned a pretty stunning fact . . .

You should never aerate perfectly aged wines.

Really? We abruptly halted our tour guide and questioned him in depth. Yes, younger red wines are known for having higher tannic profiles like Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, etc. Wines that haven't had the time to naturally age can benefit greatly from being decanted for 30 minutes to an hour before drinking. The oxidation that occurs brings the wine's backbone flavors and aromas up to the surface. Nate Weis, the winemaker at Silver Oak also suggests vigorously shaking the decanter to provide "O2 saturation" and says that this wine can be enjoyed throughout the night and possibly even into the following night.

Older wine that has been aged to perfection should be ready to pour immediately.

But red wines that have been aged between eight to 10 years (or longer) have most likely already been properly oxidized with time. It makes sense when you stop to think about it. When you open that cherished bottle it's already supposed to be at its optimal flavor profile, so why give it the treatment of a young buck wine?

But what about decanting the sediments out? Over the years, various elements in the wine such as tannins and other chemicals begin to bind together, solidify, and turn into those little flecks of sediment that you sometimes find with older bottles. They can sometimes taste bitter and let's face it, no one wants little bits of anything floating in their glass of red.

If you're a planner, the best course of action is to remove your bottle from the wine fridge, aging rack, or back of your closet - where you've hidden the good stuff so your friend's don't accidentally drink it while watching Scandal - a few days before you're ready to open it and set it upright so the sediment can slowly float down and settle at the bottom of the bottle.

Non-planners, use a decanter, but set a timer.

It's great to not only visually see when the sediments have floated to the bottom, it's also a good way to check the color and vibrancy of the wine before serving it. But don't let it sit too long, 10 to 15 minutes at the most, or else all of those flavors you've worked so hard to age could die a very sad death.

If you happen to be so lucky as to have a very very old wine - we're talking 40 to 60 years - first, thank the incredibly smart person who decided to save his or her wine that long. Then get ready. Weis warns that you should be very careful about the O2 exposure. It's always up to you and your nose, but when the wines are that old, even if you decant it gently, the clock might already be ticking on its lifespan. Weis says can sometimes it can be measured in minutes, so make sure your glass is in hand when you pop that cork.

And for the love of Bacchus, uncorking a wine and letting it sit in the bottle does not decant, aerate, or "let the wine breathe" in any shape or form. It basically just makes you sound pretentious.

Now as any good wine drinker knows - a lot of this is very subjective to the exact bottle you're drinking. There aren't any super hard or fast rules when it comes to enjoying a glass, but by and large these are some good tips to know so you don't accidentally lose what makes your wine so special!

Katy Perry Opens Up About Her Sexuality, Says She Did More Than Just "Kiss a Girl"

Katy Perry stunned when she stepped out for the Human Rights Campaign Gala in LA on Saturday night. In addition to looking gorgeous in a black and white gown, the "Chained to the Rhythm" singer was honored with the national equality award for her advocacy for LGBT rights. During her speech, Katy opened up about her sexual experiences with women and the meaning behind her hit "I Kissed a Girl." "I speak my truths and I paint my fantasies into these little bite size pop songs. For instance, 'I kissed a girl and I liked it.' Truth be told, I did more than that," she explained. "But how was I going to reconcile that with a gospel singing girl raised in youth groups that were pro-conversion camps? What I did know was I was curious and even then I knew sexuality wasn't as black and white as this dress. And honestly, I haven't always gotten it right, but in 2008 when that song came out I knew that I started a conversation and a lot of the world seemed curious enough to sing along, too."

Katy also revealed that she spent her adolescence trying to pray "the gay away in my Jesus camps," but that things changed when she broke into the music world. "I found my gift and my gift introduced me to people outside my bubble and my bubble started to burst. These people were nothing like I had been taught to fear. They were the most free, strong, kind and inclusive people I have ever met."

How to Know When to Wash Your Bra, Once and For All

Bras aren't as basic as they seem - not when you consider the latest lingerie trends along with the fact that some ladies are game to show off their skivvies on the street. In other words, paying attention to upkeep is key.

We talked to a DKNY expert who not only filled us in on caring for tights, but offered us a full list of bra rules we promise we won't forget. Below you'll learn when it's time to wash your bras, how to store them both at home and in a suitcase, and the five essentials you really must shop STAT. Go ahead and read through the handbook.

When to Wash Your Bra

"The most sanitary and general recommendation is that you should wash your bra after two to three wears."

How to Clean Your Bra

"Hand-wash your intimates in cold water. That's the best way to ensure that your delicates don't snag."

How to Store Your Bras While Traveling

"Bras should be stored by nesting the bra cups together to keep their shape and place in a separate lingerie bag."

How to Store Your Bras at Home

"If you are storing a foam cup bra, keep them stacked in your drawer, but fabric cups such as bralettes are perfectly safe folded."

When to Replace Your Bras

"If worn on daily rotation, replace ever three to four months. If you see the band is stretched out, replace it right away, since it's not offering the proper support. I would suggest having seven to eight bras in your wardrobe and rotating them often so they last longer."

The Bra Material That Lasts the Longest

"Nylon, cotton, and mesh last the longest when taken care of properly."

The 5 Bras Every Woman Should Own

"A great t-shirt bra that's light, a strapless style, a beautiful and functional bralette, a trendy and supportive bra that's meant to be seen, and an everyday bra with a little added lift."

Beauty and the Beast: Every Song From the Extraordinary Soundtrack

If you had any trepidations about Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast, you can rest assured that it's soundtrack is simply magical. Honestly, with music written by Alan Menken (the Disney mastermind behind the original movie) and Tim Rice, we already knew it would be incredible, but this is something else. Not only do Ariana Grande and John Legend lend their voices for the title track, but Celine Dion is also back with another ballad, "How Does a Moment Last Forever," after contributing to the 1991 animated film's soundtrack. Let's just say, it's guaranteed to make you sob buckets. Listen to all the tracks (including the new songs) here!

Beauty and the Beast: The Sad Story Behind the Beast's Parents

Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast came out on Friday, and there are quite a few adjustments from the animated version. Aside from making Belle a more "active princess" and delivering Disney's first "exclusively gay moment," the movie also fills in some plot holes missing from the original story. Not only does it reveal how Belle's mom died, but the filmmakers also give the Beast, aka Prince Adam, a heartbreaking backstory.

The first mention we get of the Beast's family is when he accuses Belle of being untrustworthy, just like her dad. After he scares Belle with his short temper, though, Mrs. Potts gives him a knowing look and says that not everyone is like their father. From there we know that the Beast had a strained relationship with his own dad, but it isn't until later, when Belle questions the household objects about why they are under the spell, that we learn how horrible he really was.

Just like Belle, the Beast's mother passed away when he was still very young. Although the film doesn't reveal the exact cause of her illness, it does reveal that his father was very cruel to him afterward. Growing up, it seems his father was a beast of his own and ended up making his son just like him. Not only does the backstory allow us to feel sympathy for the main character, but it also shows some similarities between the Beast and Belle as they mourn the loss of their mothers.

A Mom's Open Letter to the Swimwear Industry

Lately, swimwear has been on my brain. With Spring break approaching, I've felt the urge to add to my growing collection of age-appropriate but cute suits. While the resurgence of the one-piece has definitely increased my options, I've gotta tell you, I've been a little disheartened by what they're lacking in one particular area of coverage. So, swimwear companies, I'd like to make a simple request from us moms out there: please continue making on-trend, stylish, and even sexy one-pieces, but could you please also make some that cover our bums?

Recently I was at a resort populated by many adorable teens and 20-somethings, many of whom were sporting this latest trend of, let's call it, the half-thong. Their perky little bottoms were semi-exposed, and I have to admit, they looked pretty cute. I'd like to think mine would have looked equally adorable when I was their age, but I'm coming up on my 37th birthday, and despite the borderline torturous number of squats, lunges, and pliés I force myself to do weekly, I've officially passed the point of an exposed bum being anything but inappropriate.

Beyond the physical realities (thank you, gravity, childbirth, and lessening skin elasticity) that have left my backside less high, mighty, and dimple free than it used to be, there's also the truth of what a day at the pool or beach looks like now versus when my bum was in top form. During those good-old days I would spend hours lounging, doing nothing more than thumbing through a book or magazine and occasionally flipping myself over for an even tan. Today, however, I spend most of my time chasing after a toddler and preschooler, and that cute half-bum-out style would undoubtedly turn into a full moon after my first sprint to keep my 2-year-old from swallowing a mouth full of sand or chlorine-saturated pool water. Not a good look for a woman who's staring down 40.

I get it that these days, butts are big, both trendwise and, thanks to those Kardashians, in actual size. Sporting a sizable rump myself, I'm grateful for the bum love. But that doesn't mean I want the world to see mine only half covered by a strip of spandex.

So many times during my search (mostly online) for the perfect one-piece, I've thought I found the perfect suit, only to be disappointed when I click the rear view. That reversible Mara Hoffman twist one-piece: colorful and cool in the front, half covered in the back. A Solid & Striped tank: sporty from the front, barely there from the back. The Tori Praver scoopneck with subtle but sexy lace-up sides: totally half-assed. I've had some luck with my old stand-by J.Crew and even with Loft, a store I now refer to as the gateway mom shop. But every time I see a superchic one-piece suit, I get cautiously excited. Maybe this will be the one the designed to cover all my bits. And when I see it's not, there's only one way I can describe my reaction: totally bummed.

Every Shocking, Tumultuous Moment From Prince Charles and Princess Diana's Marriage

Image Source: Getty / Anwar Hussein

Although season one of Ryan Murphy's Feud is just barely upon us, FX has already renewed the drama for a second season, and it's going to be a doozy. Titled Feud: Charles and Diana, season two will follow the tumultuous marriage of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, who were married from 1981 to 1996. Diana - whose legacy still lives on in her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry - died in a tragic car accident in August 1997 with her partner, Dodi Fayed, whom she began dating after the end of her and Charles's 15-year marriage. Before their divorce, however, their troubled relationship was the subject of plenty of tabloid speculation.

The Early Years

On Feb. 24, 1981, Diana and Charles announced they were engaged after meeting four years earlier while Charles dated Diana's older sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale. It seemed that their union was off to a shaky start from the get-go. There were reports that Sarah was deeply unhappy that the prince had decided to marry Diana instead, but Diana's biographer Andrew Morton later refuted the claim, saying the sisters remained quite close. On top of that, Charles had a puzzling response to the question of whether or not they were truly in love during a postengagement interview with reporters. "Of course!" Diana responded, before Charles said, "Whatever 'in love' means." Many thought Charles appeared rigid and stuck-up during the segment, clearly not thrilled to be there.

In July of that same year, the two wed in an elaborate ceremony at St. Paul's Cathedral in London. The event saw more than 600,000 people flooding the streets to get a glimpse of the 20-year-old "People's Princess," who was the first commoner to marry into the British royal family for 300 years. Sadly, a fairy-tale wedding does not equal a fairy-tale ending. After the couple welcomed their first son, Prince William, in 1982 and then Prince Harry two years later, their relationship began to fall apart.

The Affairs

By the early '90s, rumors of infidelity began popping up in tabloids across the world. Charles and Diana went on their last official trip together in October 1991 to Ontario, Canada, accompanied by their sons, and a few months later, Morton's book Diana: Her True Story was released. It was immediately clear that Diana and her family had worked with the author directly, contributing not only family photographs but also deeply personal revelations. Diana opened up about her five suicide attempts (one of which happened during her pregnancy with William, after she suspected Charles was cheating on her) and Charles's longstanding extramarital affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

On Aug. 23, 1992, "Squidgygate" erupted. The Sun published a front-page article about the contents of a secretly recorded audio tape of a conversation Diana had with childhood friend James Gilbey (whose nickname for her was "Squidgy") on New Year's Eve 1989. Their chat included confessions about how miserable she was with Charles ("He makes my life real torture, I've decided") and about her strained relationship with Queen Elizabeth II. A few months later, British tabloids leaked a tape of a flirty recorded phone conversation between Charles and Camilla that confirmed their affair. Dubbed "Camillagate" by the press, the tapes included statements from Charles like "Oh god. I'll just live inside your trousers or something. It would be much easier!" and a joke about him wanting to be Camilla's "Tampax" (which is why the situation is also referred to as "Tampongate").

By December 1992, the royal family could no longer hide the fact that Diana and Charles's marriage was in shambles. Prime Minister John Major publicly announced the pair's "amicable separation" at the House of Commons, reading off an official statement from the royal family. A year later, Charles was rumored to be having an affair with personal assistant Tiggy Legge-Bourke, and Diana faced down reports of a relationship with former cavalry officer James Hewitt, whom she'd hired as a horseback riding instructor for her, William, and Harry.

Damage Control

With his public image tarnished by "Camillagate," Prince Charles agreed to an interview with Jonathan Dimbleby in June 1994. He readily admitted that Camilla was his mistress but said they only entered into an extramarital relationship after his marriage to Diana had "irretrievably broken down, us both having tried" in 1986. By January 1995, Camilla had split from husband Andrew Parker Bowles, and in March, their divorce was finalized.

In November 1995, Diana chose to tell her side of things in her first solo interview. While sitting down with the BBC's Martin Bashir, she didn't mince words when asked about Charles and Camilla: "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded." On top of that (as well as an acknowledgment of her struggle with bulimia), Diana also copped to her own infidelity, which "plunged the monarchy into the greatest crisis since the abdication" (a reference to King Edward VIII's choice to abandon the throne in 1936 so he could marry divorced American socialite Wallis Simpson). She confirmed her five-year romance with James Hewitt - who at that point had released a tell-all book about their relationship called Princess in Love - saying, "Yes, I adored him. Yes, I was in love with him. But I was very let down."

The Divorce

Needless to say, the royal family was not pleased with Diana airing all of their dirty laundry to the public. Not even a month passed after Diana's interview before her press secretary resigned and Queen Elizabeth II sent her and Charles a letter requesting that they divorce immediately, a move unprecedented at the time. On Aug. 28, 1996, Charles and Diana's divorce was finalized. Sadly, the paparazzi's interest in 36-year-old Diana only grew with each scandal, an obsession that eventually led to her fatal car crash in 1997 (the car's driver was attempting to elude photographers in Paris when he crashed the vehicle).

Feud: Charles and Diana is set to air sometime in 2018, so hopefully Ryan Murphy uses this time to make sure they nail every detail.

Every Shocking, Tumultuous Moment From Prince Charles and Princess Diana's Marriage

How 1 Mom Got the Ultimate Surprise With This Jaw-Dropping Rainbow Baby Maternity Shoot

When Jacob and Britni Lamance found out that they were expecting a baby, the young couple was nervous but excited. However, at eight weeks, her doctor revealed that he suspected she suffered an ectopic pregnancy, and he confirmed that he couldn't find a fetus at 10 weeks.

Britni ended up in emergency surgery after experiencing severe pain and had to have her left fallopian tube removed. "Because of this, I just knew it was going to be almost impossible to have babies. I was devastated!" she told POPSUGAR Moms. "All my life, I had dreamed of being a mommy. But this isn't where the story ends. Three days after my surgery, I conceived my first rainbow baby!"

Nine months later, baby Jameson was born and Britni knew that she wanted to try for a second "miracle baby." After five months of trying, they conceived again and Britni came up with the perfect name: Wrightly Jane. "Knowing that my eggs can no longer come from my left side because of my first ectopic pregnancy, I know they can only come from my right ovary," Britni said. "Because of this, Wrightly is my 'right' baby, hence the name Wrightly."

Brit of Brit Nicole Photography has known this couple throughout their journey from engagement to pregnancies. When she found out about Wrightly's impending birth, she was excited to set up a scenic maternity shoot at Palo Duro Canyon in Texas but had a major surprise planned for the unsuspecting couple.

"I'd always wanted to bless them with something, even if it was as little as a rainbow smoke bomb photo," she told POPSUGAR Moms. "The rainbow smoke bomb photo was a surprise to them and I didn't tell them about it at the time, just because I knew how much it meant for them to have babies off one tube! Everyone who has gone through devastation like this deserves an epic photo and reminder that there is always hope through the storm."

Try Not to Sob Over Celine Dion's Gorgeous Beauty and the Beast Song

Obsessed with Ariana Grande and John Legend's duet for Beauty and the Beast? Well, the live-action Disney movie has another song for you to get excited about. After contributing to the 1991 animated film's soundtrack, Celine Dion is back with another ballad, "How Does a Moment Last Forever." While the lyrics about love living on are simply beautiful - especially following the anniversary of her husband René Angélil's death - it's her voice that is giving us major chills. Emma Watson, who plays Belle, will also sing a little bit of the song in the movie. Fittingly, Dion's version plays during the end credits, ensuring that we will all sob into our popcorn in the middle of the theater. Check it out, and listen to all the new songs from the movie!

How the New Beauty and the Beast Movie Changed the Story

Warning: Spoilers follow!

You have to anticipate that with a tale as old as time, some details may change between iterations. Though they're both Disney films, the new Beauty and the Beast movie has proven to be quite different than the animated version from 1992. Entertainment Weekly revealed the first look at the 2017 film in November, providing the first insight into what's different about the story. Now that we've seen the film, here are the biggest changes we noticed!

  1. Belle is an inventor. "In the animated movie, it's her father who is the inventor, and we actually co-opted that for Belle," star Emma Watson told EW. "I was like, 'Well, there was never very much information or detail at the beginning of the story as to why Belle didn't fit in, other than she liked books. Also what is she doing with her time?' So, we created a backstory for her, which was that she had invented a kind of washing machine, so that, instead of doing laundry, she could sit and use that time to read instead. So, yeah, we made Belle an inventor."
  2. Belle's father is a music-box maker. "Kevin Kline as Maurice, is making all these music boxes that have to tell the story of Belle not traveling," Katie Spencer, the set director, said. "She's overprotected in a way, by her father, because she's lost her mother. So, we've made all these music boxes that represent different countries of the world, so she can see what she's missing."
  3. Belle and the Beast get backstories. While Belle doesn't get much of a biography in the animated film, Watson's Belle is much more fleshed out. As we learn throughout the movie, she was born in Paris but had to flee with her father because the plague was sweeping the city. (RIP, Belle's mom.) Meanwhile, there's much more of an emphasis on the Beast's background; he also loses his mother as a child, but his father is far less caring than Maurice.
  4. The Enchantress plays a bigger part. The original film does feature an enchantress cursing the prince for not giving her shelter, but the woman is much more present in the new film, appearing several times.
  5. The staff is more affected by the curse. This time around, not only have the staff been turned into household objects, they're slowly losing their humanity more and more each day. Even before the final rose petal hits the floor, they hardly have an human characteristics left.
  6. LeFou is gay. Yes, LeFou is obsessed with Gaston in the original, but director Bill Condon confirmed that LeFou is definitely gay in the new film. He went on to say there is an "exclusively gay moment," but we were pretty underwhelmed by it.

Is That Really Dan Stevens Singing in Beauty and the Beast?

Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast is here, and we can barely contain our excitement. While the posters, stills, and soundtrack have appropriately pumped us up, we were just excited to see one of our favorite childhood movies come to life on the big screen. The adaptation is straying a little bit from the animated version, but it is staying true to a few things, including the musical aspect. We got our first listen to Emma Watson's singing voice in the trailer, but what about the Beast? Prince Adam doesn't have any songs in the original movie, but Dan Stevens does sing in the adaptation. And yes, it's really Stevens's voice.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the English actor revealed that Alan Menken, who penned the original score, wrote a brand-new song specifically for the Beast. The title is "Evermore," and it's one of several new songs in the film. Stevens's wife, Susie Hariet, even helped with his audition since she's a jazz musician and singing teacher. "We're a pretty musical household and it was lovely to have that," he said. "We've never really sung together all that much. It was a really beautiful thing to do."

25 Selfish Things Moms Should Do For Themselves

Today's parents have it easy, according to those who went before us. Modern conveniences like video baby monitors, iPads, double electric breast pumps, and toys that do just about everything for you are designed to make our lives easier. But we are also living in the age of the child-centered home, where so much of what we do is dictated by our children's needs. So much so that mommy guilt prevents us from doing so many of the things we would want to do - acts that seem selfish when there are kids in the picture. "Shouldn't you be spending quality time with your kids instead of going for a manicure?" a little voice in our heads screams. "Shouldn't you be spending that money on an educational toy instead of a double latte?" it says.

It's hard to drown out the little voice, but we're here to tell that it's OK to be selfish. It's OK to do things for yourself. It's OK to do something that doesn't benefit anyone but Mom. Here are 25 things you should do for yourself (maybe not all at once, but over time) and never feel guilty about.

  1. Go out with the girls.
  2. Hire a babysitter so you can get some sleep.
  3. Keep the "good" cookies for yourself.
  4. Hurry the kids to bed so you can catch your favorite show (before your friends on Facebook start spoiling it).
  5. Skip the PTA meeting to get your nails done (just once, but it's OK).
  6. Forgo Kidz Bop in favor of the real thing so Mom can enjoy it too (just make a lot of noise during the bad words).
  7. Make your favorite foods instead of your kids'.
  8. Call on the grandparents (or friends or neighbors) for a sleepover so you can get a good night's sleep.
  9. Lock your bedroom door so you and your partner can get some much-needed private time.
  10. Lock the bathroom door so you can pee in peace.
  11. Notice there is only one scoop of ice cream left and pretend it is all gone so you can eat it.
  12. Spend your free time reading something that interests you - not a parenting article, not a news article, but something you want to read.
  13. Take time to exercise daily.
  14. Swap said exercise time to sit at a coffee shop and watch the world go by.
  15. Buy yourself a piece of jewelry instead of 10 pieces of junk jewelry for your kids.
  16. Take a vacation day from work for some retail therapy - for yourself.
  17. Sit in your empty home and enjoy the quiet time, not thinking about cleaning up.
  18. Delete your kids' shows from the DVR to make room for your shows.
  19. Send the kids outside to play so they don't mess up the rooms you just cleaned.
  20. Enjoy that business trip because it includes a quiet night of dinner and sleep by yourself.
  21. Get a massage just because.
  22. Scrap your plan for dinner and order a pizza when you've had a long/bad day.
  23. Ignore the to-do list for an hour and enjoy the peace and quiet of their being at school.
  24. Find an excuse to go out and wear your "pre-mom" clothes.
  25. Find time for a hobby that has nothing to do with work or your kids - just because you enjoy it.

You Won't Be Able to Stop Watching This Video of Molten Metallic Highlighter

In May 2016, gleaming goddess Jaclyn Hill and the highlighter masters behind Becca Cosmetics teamed up for their second collaboration: an entire collection of champagne-inspired goodies. As a spinoff on the first partnership (the cult-status Champagne Pop highlighter), the launch included a new illuminator known as Prosecco Pop. The shade was inspired by molten gold and immediately garnered a powerful fanbase. However, since the collection was limited edition, those fans were concerned it'd be nearly impossible to track down Prosecco Pop in months to come.

Happily, the Becca team recently announced that the magically metallic formula would be permanently added to the brand's range of highlighter shades. Even better, they created it in two additional textures - liquid and cream. In celebration of this news, Becca's official Instagram posted an impossibly mesmerizing video of the cream version being poured into compacts. It looks just like molten metal during the production process, so you just know that Prosecco Pop will positively glow on your cheekbones.

Read on to see the product being made, then shop all three (permanent!) formulations of Prosecco Pop when you read on.

The 1 Royal With Better Bling Than Kate Middleton - Seriously!

In 10 years, the woman who was christened Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano went from news anchor to queen of Spain, and just one of the ways in which her life has changed can be charted by the contents of her jewelry box.

As she inched into royal life on the arm of her boyfriend and then fiancé, Prince Felipe VI, she gradually flashed some of her new baubles, along with some subtle pieces borrowed from her mother-in-law, Queen Sofía. As soon as she became princess of Asturias on her wedding day, it was all about the tiaras, suites of vintage jewels, and lavish designer gifts. However, since her husband became king in June 2014, the newly minted Queen Letizia has moved forward with increasingly quirky and colorful pieces that include elements like brass mesh and semiprecious insects. Kylie Cosmetics Is Mailing Empty Highlighters, and Everyone's Pissed

Imagine this scenario: you rush to your mailbox one afternoon and see that your highly anticipated Kylie Cosmetics package has finally arrived, after days of incessantly tracking the delivery online. But when you rip into the box and flip open the Kylighter container, there's no shimmery makeup in sight. Sounds like a horror film plot, am I right?

Well it looks like this has actually been a reality for some unlucky Kylie Cosmetics fans. Shortly after Kylie Cosmetics finally released its collection of six shimmery highlighters, the entire stock quickly sold out online, much to the dismay of die-hard fans who weren't able to punch in their credit card info quickly enough. Apparently the cosmetics brand decided to cope with the overwhelming demand by sending empty packages to its customers.

Rightfully so, many makeup mavens were pretty darn peeved about spending $22 for a Kylighter (or a whopping $130 for the whole bundle) and receiving nothing but an empty plastic container. So they used social media to share photos of their sad, desolate packaging, along with a few words about their frustration.

Heartilage Piercings Are the New Earring Trend You're Going to Obsess Over

My first pair of earrings were simple studs, the generic pair I picked out when I got my ears pierced as a little girl, but as the years have gone on, my collection of unique, intricate earrings has grown and my everyday studs are a thing of the past. While there's no shortage of pom-pom earrings or single silver drop earrings in the fashion world, I assumed that all cartilage earrings were created equally. I thought that the round silver cartilage earring I rebelliously got pierced with in college (sorry again, Mom) would just be it, no tassels or fringes - and sadly, no diamonds.

There's no denying that it's difficult to design a unique yet chic cartilage earring simply because of the sensitivity and location on the ear, but a piercing legend in New York City has found the solution. Robbie Milian, the one with the piercing gun at celebrity favorite West 4 Tattoo, simply removed the bead from his client's cartilage ring, turned in the metal ends, and shaped the piercing into a heart. We've officially named this heart cartilage trend "heartilage," and we cannot get enough of it! It's the adorable way to spice up your piercing in a way we didn't think could be done.

Robbie's creativity with the heartilage piercing might have been inspired by his frequent heart daith piercings, the innermost area of cartilage, which he often pierces with a beaded heart ring, seen on his Instagram. Keep reading to see more photos of the heartilage trend.

Giving Up Dairy Changed My Body in So Many Surprising Ways

In my 20s, I was a french-fry, soy-ice-cream, pasta-and-bread-loving vegan. I ended up gaining 40 pounds and - surprise, surprise - always felt tired, foggy-headed, and on the brink of another cold. After six years, I started eating eggs and dairy, and I felt a little better, but that's probably because I was finally eating healthier, in an attempt to lose all the weight I'd gained.

Fast-forward 12 years to the Summer of 2014. I was sitting on my couch, flipping through Netflix, and stumbled upon the documentary Vegucated. It takes the stance that being vegan is better for the planet and kinder to animals, and after seeing some heartbreaking video footage, I felt compelled to eat more compassionately and ditch dairy on the spot. I had no idea how dramatically my life was about to improve. Here's what I noticed within two months of going dairy-free.

Wait, Are These My Skinny Jeans?

Getting dressed one chilly September morning, I grabbed a pair of my favorite skinny jeans and they slipped right on! Since I tend to gain a little weight in the Summer, I was expecting to have to wrestle with them for a bit, but they didn't feel tight whatsoever. I even slipped them off to check the label to make sure they were the right pair. Yeah, you bet I was smiling and feeling pretty awesome. Since having two kids, I'd been carrying around a few extra pounds that were holding on for dear life (really, my youngest is now 2!), and ditching dairy made it happen in two months without any other change.

Bye-Bye Bloat

Know what the number one reason was for my Costco membership? Lactaid pills. Yep, I popped one every time I ate because even the tiniest drop of butter in a cracker could set me off. I wasn't always lactose intolerant, but it hit me hard when I went away to college, which was one of the reasons I went vegan back then. I couldn't leave my house without some trusty pills in my pocket, and I popped at least five a day. My body was telling me not to eat dairy and here I was devouring it every chance I got. And boy, did I pay the price. My belly was constantly bloated and I had more than my fair share of emergency bathroom runs. It seems obvious to anyone that you should stop eating the one thing that makes you feel horrible, but I guess I didn't realize just how bad I was feeling until I started feeling amazing.

What's That Amazing Smell?

Sinus surgery. That was the recommendation after years of chronic and painful sinus infections, extensive allergy testing, two CT scans, daily nasal sprays and antihistamines, twice-daily dates with my Neti Pot, months of heavy-duty antibiotics, and heartbreakingly having to find a new home for my two cats. The ear, nose, and throat specialist said it was one of the worst cases he'd seen, and said surgery to remove the congestion and widen my sinuses should be the next step. Talk about scared. There had to be another solution.

I'd heard that dairy can contribute to congestion but considered not being able to breathe or smell a fair trade for cheese. It's been two months of being dairy free, and now that Fall is in full swing, I should be miserable with allergy stuffiness and sinus pressure. But I'm not. My doctor can't believe I haven't needed to refill my meds. I even went apple picking and could actually smell the cider donuts cooking (not that I could eat one!). I teared up. I had a moment right there in the apple orchard. And to think, I almost went through with surgery, when all I needed to do was say no to cheese.

Did You Change Moisturizers?

Seriously, someone asked me this, and I was thrilled. My skin has never been clearer. I didn't have a bad acne problem, but a pimple always seemed to be cropping up, which was pretty embarrassing for someone in their late 30s. My skin is smoother, softer, and has more of a natural glow. It makes sense, since cow's milk contains growth hormone, fats, and sugars (yes, organic milk, too), which can aggravate the skin. There's definitely some strong data showing the correlation between dairy and acne, and although it can take up to six months for skin to heal, I noticed a difference within a month.

Smoothies, Salads, and Sweet Potatoes

Like most people, I tried to eat healthy, but when you're in a rush or tired from a long day, you grab the quickest thing. As a vegetarian, cheese was like its own food group to me, and admittedly, cheesy pesto paninis, creamy pasta, and pizza were always on the menu. I had to completely rethink my meals and found that with a little bit of prep, I was eating so much healthier. I made green smoothies for breakfast, salads for lunch, and got really creative with using tempeh, tofu, lentils, beans, whole grains, and all sorts of veggies. Ditching dairy meant that I made room for foods that were much more nutrient-packed, and I no longer felt heavy after meals.

Another Three Miles? Sure!

Eating healthier also meant I had more energy. Whether it was going for a run, bike ride, hike, or teaching a yoga class, I felt so peppy and fired up. I had more days in the past two months where I felt like I could keep going and going than I ever had when I was eating dairy. Maybe this is the reason so many athletes go vegan.

Final Thoughts

I know what you're thinking. "I could never live without __________." So don't. If you want to avoid dairy but you could never give up pizza, then give up dairy except for pizza. I will say that for most of your favorite foods there are some pretty outstanding alternatives. My kitchen is constantly stocked with soy milk, soy yogurt, Earth Balance buttery spread, and my fave - almond milk ice cream. Personally, I wasn't a fan of vegan cheeses so I just leave it off my pizza or sandwiches, or make my own using raw cashews. Please don't mourn for the cookies and pancakes you can't eat. There are so many dairy-free recipes that taste as awesome as ones containing milk and butter. Once you get used to cooking and eating in this new way, it'll feel just as easy as your diet feels now. If you can't go cold turkey, do what you can and gradually take milk out of your diet. If your experience is anything like mine, the benefits will speak for themselves, and you'll be inspired to eliminate dairy completely.
