Nervous Puppy Throws Adorable Hissy Fit After Being Told "No"

When mixed-breed puppy Napoleon, a rescue, realized that he wasn't allowed to sit in his foster mom's lap while driving, he responded in a naughty (albeit adorable) way: by throwing a dramatic tantrum. Complete with stuck-out tongue and high-pitched squeals of protest, Napoleon's dramatic fit is probably the cutest act of reluctant obedience we've ever seen. Perhaps there's a reason human children don't look hilariously adorable when throwing tantrums . . . if we all looked as cute as this puppy when complaining, we'd get whatever we wanted!

Emma Watson Changed This 1 Detail About Belle's Iconic Ball Gown

We all patiently waited for it: the reveal of Emma Watson's Belle dress in Beauty and the Beast. Made with silk, the yellow princess ball gown is better than we imagined. The dress has a satin finish that glows for the camera while the layers of organza give the dress a light, bouncy lift. Though parts of the costume have a cage, one specific constricting piece was left out of the new design.

Beauty and the Beast's costume designer Jacqueline Durran revealed in an interview that Belle's dress in the live-action film does not have a corset, a change Emma pushed for herself.

"For Emma, it was important that the dress was light and that it had a lot of movement," Durran said. "In Emma's reinterpretation, Belle is an active princess. She did not want a dress that was corseted or that would impede her in any way."

Given that the actress is a proud feminist and supporter of HeForShe, it's not surprising she spoke up and did away with a tight-fitting bodice in the name of comfort. Scroll through for a glimpse of Belle's updated gown and other outfits, check out the subtle ear cuff she wears in the film, then reminisce over Emma's green red carpet choices on the press tour.

Show Off Your Free Spirit In These 15 Spring Bohemian Essentials

Being a true bohemian means you have a laid-back personality and your clothing probably reflects that. You go for comfort and ease over super trendy items and you like to take things as they come. You've probably been described as a free-spirit far too many times to count and you don't mind it one bit.

When it comes to your clothes you'd rather be in a wide-brimmed hat and an airy maxi dresses rather than a minimalist's favorite of a crisp, white button-downs and trousers. From tasseled earrings to a suede, fringed jacket, here are the 15 Spring essentials you need to bring out your inner boho goddess.

13 Adorable (and Accurate) Similarities Between Babies and Puppies

On the surface, babies and puppies may not have a whole lot in common (other than their adorableness). But dig a little deeper and you'll find plenty of similarities between these two (and not just that they make awesome video subjects). Don't believe us? These photos prove just how surprisingly similar these cute creatures can be.

Is Emma Watson Really Singing in Beauty and the Beast?

Even before Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast hit theaters, we were spoiled with every trailer, poster, and song under the sun. We've been treated to plenty of chill-inducing trailers, plus gorgeous pictures galore and a treasure trove of details. Months before the releas, we got our first listen to Emma Watson's singing voice. In situations like this, we know people will still ask whether or not Watson is actually singing. So, well, is she? We did a little digging and we have exciting news.

The short answer is yes, that really is Emma Watson singing. The actress opened up about the "terrifying" experience during a print interview with Total Film. "I sing, so that's really unexpected," she said. "I've never had to do that for a film role before, and I think people will be interested to see me do something very different like that . . . It gives me a different challenge, really." Disney corroborated the fact when they tweeted the aforementioned clip, a snippet from "Something There," saying explicitly that she's singing.

But wait, there's more! Not only is Watson using her voice for the movie, but her live vocals are used in several of the various numbers. In a separate interview with Collider, Luke Evans shared a fun tidbit about the musical process. "We pre-recorded every [song], but some of us sang live on set as well, during the takes," he revealed. "We were mic'd, and they recorded that, and I think afterwards, in sound, they'll be able to chose whether the live version is better than the pre-recorded version." So there you have it. In addition to all her other magical skills, Emma Watson sings. You can even hear her on the soundtrack!

Why Disney's "Exclusively Gay Moment" Doesn't Deliver at All

Warning: this post contains implied homosexual spoilers.

A few weeks ago, news broke that the new live-action Beauty and the Beast would feature its first openly gay character. The film's director, Bill Condon, confirmed the info in Attitude's April issue: "LeFou [Josh Gad] is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston [Luke Evans] and on another day wants to kiss Gaston . . . [it] has its payoff at the end, which I don't want to give away. But it is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie." While the announcement led to inevitable backlash from some, others called into question this claim that LeFou would be Disney's "first" openly gay character. Let me tell you, after seeing the film, the skepticism was well placed. In fact, not only is LeFou decidedly not an openly gay Disney character, but the "exclusively gay moment" hardly earns that distinction.

Before we dive into the minutiae of the problem, let me explain how this "exclusively gay moment" goes down. The first thing the film attempts to do is establish that LeFou is attracted to men. The musical number "Gaston" does the bulk of the legwork here, giving LeFou effeminate dance moves and mannerisms. At one point, he hugs Gaston a little too tightly for a little too long and asks, "Too much?" Finally, at the end of the song, Gaston asks why LeFou hasn't been snatched up by a woman, he says, "I've been told I'm . . . clingy." Which seems like a non sequitur.

The filmmakers felt the need to introduce a second gay character, but who? After all, Gaston is an unattainable heterosexual man who would never in a million years return LeFou's obvious affection. This means his only option is another person in the town: Stanley, one of the bar patrons that LeFou mentions by name while singing. Stanley is already clearly designated as a "gay" character in the most shallow sense. He's better looking than all the other patrons, his hair is perfectly coiffed, and he's immaculately dressed, complete with a neck scarf flourish.

Hm, which one of these men could Stanley be?

To further "confirm" Stanley's sexuality, we get another moment during the epic fight scene at the end when the townspeople descend on the castle and clash with all the enchanted furniture. Madame de Garderobe, the opera singer who has transformed into a wardrobe, attacks the same three men by covering them in an avalanche of clothing, ribbon, and wigs. As a gag, the trio is suddenly glammed up in flawless makeup and full ballgowns. While two of them men are upset by the drag, Stanley is visibly thrilled, so much so that he strikes a sassy pose. Madame Garderobe encourages him to go forth and proudly be himself, in so many words. Stanley trots gleefully down the stairs and exits the castle.

So when does our "exclusively gay moment" happen? At the very end, there's a ball to celebrate the "happily ever after" of Belle and her prince. We can see LeFou has a female dance partner on the dance floor, but everyone switches and he winds up dancing with Stanley. The two look at each other, for a beat, and then we cut to another couple. That's it. Are you sensing any problems here? Allow me to make a few statements:

  1. Dressing well and styling your hair does not make you gay.
  2. Wearing women's clothes does not make you gay.
  3. Enjoying drag culture does not make you gay.
  4. Dancing with someone of the same gender at a party does not make you gay.
  5. Dancing with someone of the same gender at a party is not a "gay moment."

The issue is that Disney believes these are proper ways to establish sexuality and romance between characters. In reality, an individual's homosexuality is not confirmed unless they explicitly mention their romantic attraction to individuals of the same gender. Before you suggest there's no place for something like this in a Disney movie, consider how freely Gaston voices his attraction to Belle. Why doesn't LeFou ever admit he's attracted to Stanley, or vice versa? Are they even attracted to each other, or are they just shoved together because they're both gay? Why, when Gaston asks about his experience with women, doesn't he somehow suggest he's never been romantically inclined toward them? Why couldn't LeFou and Stanley peck on the lips or say something undeniably gay in their "exclusively gay moment" together?

In reality, Disney has left the moment and the characters' sexual identities buried in the subtext. And this is not groundbreaking representation for the LGBTQ community. In fact, as the internet has duly noted, there are plenty of implicitly gay characters in Disney history. Judging by how groundbreaking they thought this whole ordeal would be, though, we're quite far from a Disney character who exclaims, "I'm gay!" and kisses another same-gendered Disney character. Strap in, it's going to be quite a while before our gay "happily ever after."

The Beautiful Way Sephora Is Helping People Living With Cancer

Sephora just announced that it would be adding an empowering beauty class exclusively for people living with cancer. The class is titled Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer and will join the retailer's Classes For Confidence program.

According to a press release, each 90-minute class will offer personalized skin care tips, makeup how-tos, and possible solutions to any beauty-related problems students may have stemming from their battle with cancer. Students will learn a variety of skills to apply masterful eye makeup, achieve natural-looking brows, and more. Each student will also receive their unique Color IQ to learn which products work best for their complexion. While putting together this curriculum, Sephora sought the advice of its employees who also have cancer.

Not only that, but Sephora employees nationwide will also be wearing a lavender lapel pin as a gesture of solidarity, given that lavender is the color used to symbolize awareness for all cancers.

In a statement, Sephora's Senior Director of Social Impact and Sustainability Corrie Conrad spoke about the brand's goal for the class. "We are harnessing the fun upbeat environment of our stores and attention of our experts, to create a safe place for participants to learn and play with beauty, ask questions, and connect with others going through a similar situation."

Going forward, the larger Classes For Confidence program will work with different nonprofit organizations to help support its many shoppers. Another class is aimed at helping women with workforce reentry and will give students the tips they need to create everyday looks for work.

Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer will be available in 50 locations starting April 9. Click here to locate available classes near you.

Miley Cyrus Will Win You Over With Her Wedding Dress

I don't know when or if Miley Cyrus is getting married. While Billy Ray Cyrus posted a photo that suggests she and Liam Hemsworth tied the knot, it hasn't been confirmed. Maybe Miley isn't even thinking about marriage. But in my imaginary world, she walks down the aisle in a pretty spectacular wedding dress. You see, ever since I was young, I looked at Miley as someone who represented versatility. She played two different characters on Hannah Montana, and my younger sister plastered posters of Miley all over her walls, some in which she was dressed up like Hannah, others in which she was just herself in jeans and a three-quarter-sleeved tee. But even when she was just being Miley, the actress and singer looked unique and a little bit quirky.

She's gone through many stages, but there has never been a time when Miley's paid attention to trends. During her rise to fame, she wore flares and cowboy boots, maybe because they were representative of where she came from: Franklin, TN. Post-breakup with Liam Hemsworth (the two have rekindled their relationship), Miley kind of went HAM with her wardrobe. And I liked it. What she wore, or didn't wear, was all a part of her personal revolution.

Miley's style at this point could basically be described as costume like. She dressed as a twerking teddy bear and supported LGBT rights in rainbows and big, furry coats. Then, at the 2015 Met Gala, the industry's elite gathered on the red carpet, but Miley stood alone in a cutout Alexander Wang gown. It ended up on some "worst dressed" lists, but I think it was my favorite outfit of the night. It didn't seem like Miley was trying to appear sexy or edgy but just to look like herself.

So now, as outsiders speculate on whether Miley and Liam got hitched, I can't help but to imagine her would-be bridal look. I doubt Miley Cyrus's wedding dress will be all white. It might be neon, a mix of colors, or come with an inflatable skirt. Miley might not wear a wedding dress at all, should she get married. Maybe she'll go naked. She did reveal on the Today show that she prefers to stay out of the fashion conversation: "I don't want people to talk about what I'm wearing. That's usually why I don't wear too much," she said.

One thing's for sure: if Miley Cyrus gets married, her look won't include a ballgown so glamorous that everyone focuses on the pretty (or crazy!) details. They won't be talking about The Dress, because god knows it won't be wearing her. It'll be all about Miley. Read on to see why we know Miley will hit it out of the park on her special day.

Dad Recreates Rocky With His Baby to Prep For a Battle With Her Sister

Moms learn very quickly that once they have more than one kid, their title goes from "parent" to "referee." Bret Dale first learned this when his older daughter Izzy stole a teddy bear from his younger sister, Quinn. Quinn may be just a baby, but thanks to the Rocky training regime his dad put her on, she became "The Mighty Quinn."

In an old video from five years ago, Quinn can be seen experiencing heartbreak when her sister takes her fuzzy bear, which is followed by a montage of clips of her prepping for final battle juxtaposed with scenes from the famous Sylvester Stallone film. As Quinn slowly turns into a bonafide Rocky Balboa - through running, drinking raw eggs, and lifting, obviously - she gains confidence until she's finally ready to take back what's hers. See if she's victorious in this hysterical video.

Here's What Rihanna Eats, According to Her Personal Chef

Rihanna eats "every protein that you can think of" along with "vegetables, rice, and pasta." Though you'd think Rihanna might eat rabbit food, the dishes Solomon has prepared for her look otherwise! "There shouldn't be shame in eating food . . . I won't waste my calories on bullsh*t," Solomon told Bon Appétit. Cookie Just Pulled a Beyoncé and Lemonade-d the Hell Out of Empire

Empire sure knows how to make an impression. After being gone since December, the soapy series returned for the second half of season three on Wednesday. The episode has the requisite amount of twists, turns, and power plays, but the money shot comes at the end when Lucious betrays Cookie and she goes full-on Lemonade on his office. Watch This Woman Viciously Destroy the Phrase "Body Goals"

We need to talk about the phrase "body goals." More specifically, what does it even mean? In a recent impassioned rant, video blogger Tova Leigh completely eviscerated the frequently used term. Her refreshing video analyzed the pressure to look perfect as well and imparted some uplifting words to anyone currently feeling that pressure.

At the start of the video, the UK-based blogger spoke to the prevalent feeling that a balanced and happy body image is unattainable. "If you are an average woman, chances are that you have been made to feel either too fat or too thin," she said. Adding, "No matter how hard you try and how good you look, you can always look better."

As a mom of three, Tova then opened up about the pressure moms feel to "bounce back" in an unrealistic manner. She said, "What about all the sh*t people say to moms? 'You know, she gave birth like three minutes ago and still hasn't bounced back.'" After getting all of that off her chest, however, Tova ultimately ended her rant on a positive note. Kylier's Fans Are Outraged by Her Brand's "Gross" and "Sexualized" Blush Names

Fans were excited to learn of Kylie's upcoming blush launch, but for many, that enthusiasm quickly soured when they learned of the shade names. As you can see above, the titles are not for the faint of heart. The five colors are named Hopeless Romantic, Hot and Bothered, Barely Legal, X Rated, and Virginity (a re-launch from Kylie's Valentine's Day collection).

Twitter users immediately voiced their concerns. Some were just sickened by the names. "Can kylie jenner not sexualize young women w her blush names like 'virginity' and 'barely legal,'" Twitter user @purgatories asked. Most saw parallels to the makeup maven's own life in the shades, particularly her relationship with Tyga. "Kylie named a blush after her and Tygas relationship, awww," tweeted @clairebwalsh. But some just pointed out that controversial beauty product names have been done before. "Sweetie, leave the cheeky names to Nars and do less," said @TheRealKatPat.

Read on to see the colors - and the comments about them on social media - and come up with your own conclusions before the shades drop on Friday, March 24.

The Topic of Who Dresses Melania Trump Is More Complicated Than Ever

If you're looking for a unified response from designers on dressing Melania Trump, there isn't one. The "will they or won't they" debate has deeply divided the fashion community since she became first lady, and the conversation isn't ending anytime soon. Just recently, Zac Posen voiced his opposition to dressing Melania. While many designers would side with Zac, there are just as many who wouldn't; Tommy Hilfiger and Carolina Herrera both said they would dress her. It's a controversial topic, because while Melania is the first lady and a representative for the United States, her husband's policies haven't exactly won favor with the fashion crowd.

In fact, many designers took New York Fashion Week as an opportunity to voice their concerns and opposition to the president. Designers, like everyone else, are grappling with how the Trump administration will affect their own lives. Given how intertwined fashion and politics have become, we expect more designers to speak out on dressing Melania. Read on to see who has already picked sides.

It's Time to Talk About the Worst Kind of Breastfeeding Shaming Moms Experience

The Shame of the Nursing Mother

When I asked local mothers to share stories of them being shamed by family and friends as nursing mothers the responses flew in. It became obvious to me that we cannot address public breastfeeding until we address those planting the seeds of shame.

Posted by Megan Soto Photography on Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Just like many mothers, Megan Soto has been shamed for breastfeeding, but the mom of three has used her experience to fuel a powerful, eye-opening project. Megan, a photographer, asked mothers in the Saint Augustine, FL, area to share their own stories of times when friends and family members openly shamed them for nursing. She told the Huffington Post that 54 local moms responded to her inquiry, sharing horrible tales of being told off by the people they are closest to, which Megan used for her video project, "The Shame of the Nursing Mother." "Hopefully this gives some perspective in terms of the isolation that breastfeeding mothers face,"she said. "I hope that it encourages people to be more inclusive both among their loved ones and among strangers. With this video I wanted to shine a light on how asking mothers hide while breastfeeding really looks and feels."

The clip features powerful statements from nursing moms, and it's terribly sad. One woman explained her aunt told her she was only allowed to come to Thanksgiving dinner if she did not nurse her son in front of others, because it is "pornographic." Another woman said her brother stopped her nephew from entering the room where she was nursing, saying, "Don't look at that - it'll burn your eyes."

Megan's video brings up a serious issue with breastfeed shaming: While we hear plenty of stories about moms being publicly shamed by strangers, it's the stories about our loved ones doing the shaming that hurt the most. The video ends with Megan writing, "No one ever asked me to miss out of life when I was formula feeding. Breastfeeding mothers deserve the same respect."

James Corden gave an emotional speech during The Late Late Show on Wednesday as he reacted to the terror attack on his hometown of London. "Watching the news today, I felt a really long, long way from home," he said. "When something like that happens in your hometown, you don't have a feeling of being glad that you're so far away. What you feel is that you wish you could be there with loved ones to stand alongside them." Not only did he reach out to the victims of the tragedy, but he also commended the city's ability to overcome obstacles like this. "If this act of terrorism was supposed to divide the people of London, I know for a fact that all something like this does is bring them closer together as one."

The Heartwarming Way a Boy Taught His Classmate About Friendship and Promises

When a little boy walked into class after getting a new haircut, it was clear that he hated it. According to his teacher, Jana Haustetter Angelucci, the child cried all day and wanted to wear his hood up to cover his buzzed head.

The embarrassment lasted the following day, and another student asked if he could talk to Jana "in privacy" during reading group. "He whispered, 'I am going to ask my mom if she will buzz my head bald like [him] so he won't feel so bad,'" Jana shared on Facebook.

The next day, the child's hair was the same, but he eventually did get it cut and proudly approached his teacher. "We had to wait a few days to get it cut, but a promise is a promise even if it's late," he told her.

It's these small acts of compassion and friendship that can inspire not only other children, but also their parents.

Boy Trying to Nap on His Dog Proves Babies and Pups Are the Best Combo

We all know that babies and puppies are a pretty amazing combo, but this recent video of a baby trying to take a nap on his uber relaxed dog is proving that fact even further. In the video, 10-month-old Oliver and his best furry friend, Leonidas, are seen cuddling on the floor. However, Oliver just cannot get comfy, so he continually puts his weight on Leonidas, grabs at his fur, and attempts to push himself up into a better position.

The adorable video is only a minute long, but we have a feeling this could have gone on for quite some time. Leo seems totally unfazed though, and even turns to encouragingly lick his human as he struggles to achieve the perfect cuddle. "Oliver recently discovered how soft and fluffy Leo is and has started to insist on trying to take a nap on him," the video's caption reads. "They love each other, follow each other around, and are obsessed with one another!"

To All the Moms Who Hate When I Call My Dog My "Baby"

I'm the mother of two amazing baby girls. One is an adorable 7-month-old who loves hearing the sound of her own squeals and is rightfully obsessed with water faucets. The other is a 2-year-old spitfire who, when not running around in circles, is always up for a cuddle. One is a human baby, and the other is a "fur baby." There, I said it. One of my babies is a dog.

A very opinionated mom spoke out recently against people like me, parents who dare to call our dogs our babies. And she made some valid points.

No, I didn't give birth to my puppy. No, the fact that I adopted her does not count, and I better not ever make that comparison again. No, my dog can't say "I wuv you, Mommy" or take care of me when I'm old. No, last I checked, I can't drop humans off at doggie day care. And, no, my dog technically isn't a "person."

But, hell yes, my dog is my baby.*

In fact, it wasn't until the first week with my new puppy that I decided I wanted to be a mom at all. A mom to a human baby, that is. Before my dog Moose, I never felt that maternal love, that mothering sensibility that only came when my husband and I welcomed this tiny creature into our home. Our hearts opened up in a way we never thought possible, and like a drug, we were intoxicated and wanted more. So now Moose has a younger sister.

I've gotten my share of eye rolls for calling Moose my daughter's sibling or for telling my mother-in-law that she was actually already a grandmother by the time my human baby was born, and I can certainly appreciate the ridiculousness of that. (I'm reasonable, I swear.) But, I've gotten tired of hearing so many fellow moms grossly trivializing the relationship a parent can have with her pet.

Moose isn't just a domesticated animal we let live in our house. For my family, she serves a far greater purpose. My dog, often to her own detriment, has trained me to be a better mom. I've made more mistakes than I'd like to admit with Moose (the classic first-born child!), but I have her to thank for teaching me some of the greatest lessons I could ever learn as a parent, namely that . . .

1. You're able to make sacrifices more graciously.
Moose forced me to change, and I accepted the challenge, even if it put a damper on my social life - spontaneity was a thing of the past, date nights involved the help of an expensive dog walker, and conversations revolved around house-training and which neighborhood had the best obedience schools. The only difference with a human baby is those conversations take place on a playdate, not at the local dog park.

2. You won't always get it right the first time.
When we first brought Moose home, we had a cozy crate all set up for her. Too bad she hated it. She cried every night until finally, my husband and I broke down and let her sleep in bed with us. And she's never left. Because of Moose, we made sure to keep the human baby in her crib - as much as we understand the allure of cosleeping, our bed just wasn't big enough for one more.

3. You're more aware of your bad behavior.
I have a temper, and before my daughter was born, I'd yell. Loudly. I assumed it was only my husband who suffered my wrath until one evening, I saw Moose, quivering under our dining room table. Her big, sad eyes spoke volumes, and, now, every time I start to raise my voice, I think of her face. It's one I hope to never see on my daughter's.

4. You'll eventually chill out.
When you're type A, the adjustment to dog ownership is intense. You quickly learn you can't have nice things, or, if you insist on having nice things, they'll likely be peed on, chewed up, and covered in dog hair. This wasn't easy for me, but it primed me for my daughter, who now gets a mom who actually enjoys making a complete mess of carrot puree.

5. You can't take a time-out.
When I was pregnant, we just moved to a new city, and Moose was acting out. I felt that I had enough on my plate, so I let her bad behavior slide. I'm still paying for it.

6. You will never, ever stop caring.
Too many people warned me that I wouldn't care as much about Moose when my human baby was born. Instead, I love her more than I ever did and, dare I say, equally to my daughter. For all of Moose's issues (and she's got a few), I love her unconditionally, without caveat or constraint.

And as I type this, my two babies are playing on the floor. The human baby tugs on the fur baby's ear until the fur baby jerks her head away and gives me a knowing look. You're right: my dog will never be able to tell me what she's thinking. But the truth is, she doesn't have to.

*It doesn't hurt that the pup in question is a 13-pound Boston Terrier mix who loves to be kissed on the nose and carried in the cradle position.

Fargo Season 3's Official Trailer Imagines a World Where Ewan McGregor Isn't Attractive

It's been so long since Fargo's second season wrapped that you may have forgotten all about FX's crime drama, but big news has been trickling in for months now about season three. Last year, we learned that Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ewan McGregor, and Leftovers star Carrie Coon all joined the cast. Hopefully we'll get even more details in the coming months, but for now, here's what we do know about the third season.

Kate Middleton Spreads Mental Health Awareness the Day After London Terrorist Attack

Kate Middleton is getting a head start on celebrating Mother's Day this year. The Duchess of Cambridge and proud mom was greeted warmly at London's Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists on Thursday for a launch of educational films dealing with maternal mental health. The films were created by Best Beginnings, a charity partner of Kate, Prince William, and Prince Harry's Heads Together Campaign. Once inside, Kate commented on the tragic terrorist attack in London that claimed four lives and injured dozens more on Wednesday. "Before I begin, I know you would all want to join me in sending our thoughts and prayers to all those sadly affected by yesterday's terrible attack in Westminster," she said. "We will be thinking of all the families, as we discuss the important issues we're here to talk about."

After discussing the terror attack, Kate continued with her planned speech that addresses the various mental health challenges that new mothers face. "Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience," she said. "However, at times it has also been a huge challenge - even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not. Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love, and worry, all mixed together. Your fundamental identity changes overnight. You go from thinking of yourself as primarily an individual, to suddenly being a mother, first and foremost."

The princess hopes to start positive, life-changing conversations about the well-being of parents and their children. Thanks to all of her hard work with William and Harry in the arena of mental health over the last few years, the royal family is shining a light on topics that so frequently get pushed under the rug. "There is no rule book, no right or wrong - you just have to make it up and do the very best you can to care for your family," she continued. "For many mothers, myself included, this can at times lead to lack of confidence and feelings of ignorance. Sadly, for some mothers, this experience can be made so much harder due to challenges with their own mental health . . . Conversations are crucial for mental well-being and they should be part of everyday family life. Talking about a problem with a friend or another trusted person can be the beginning of getting better."

The Major Breastfeeding Lie 1 Mom Learned the Hard Way

When Jaymie Johnson was pregnant, there was one thing that she kept hearing from everyone. From other moms to doctors and nurses, they all told Jaymie: "The weight will melt right off of you when you breastfeed!"

After she finally gave birth, Jaymie was pleased to see how quickly she lost the weight. "All 20 pounds I had gained were gone, plus another three or four," she shared on Birth Without Fear's Facebook page. "I'm sure you could imagine my excitement about this and I totally expected that trend to continue."

However at 11 weeks postpartum, things took an unexpected change even though Jaymie is still breastfeeding. "I'm doing moderate-high intensity workouts 4-6 days a week, eat a well balanced diet with a slight deficit in calories (but still enough to keep my supply up), drink a gallon of water a day, am getting great sleep and . . . I'm GAINING weight?!" she wrote. "The truth is that some women just have a very difficult time losing weight while breastfeeding due to various reasons (hormones, appetite, stress etc.), and it can be VERY discouraging, especially when the society we live in today pushes for women to 'bounce back' right after having a baby."

Even though Jaymie's body isn't reacting the way she expected it to based on what she saw and heard from everyone else, she hopes that her message empowers other women. "My advice to all momma's out there struggling with this issue is to find comfort in the fact that the little miracle that once dwelled inside of you doesn't care if your stomach is rock hard, with defined abs," she wrote. "They love you unconditionally regardless of what you look like . . . "

Kate Winslet on Being Bullied as a Kid: "They Locked Me in a Cupboard"

Kate Winslet is one of Hollywood's most sought-after leading ladies, but that wasn't always the case. During a talk at the fourth annual WE Day UK event on Wednesday, the Oscar-winning actress opened up about her experience with being bullied and body shamed growing up. "I was always comparing myself to others," she told the crowd. "They called me 'Blubber,' they teased me for wanting to act. Locked me in the cupboard and would laugh at me. I wasn't the prettiest and I was even told that I'd be lucky in my acting if I was happy to settle for the fat girl parts. I'd never let go of that, and they'd say, 'You're just not what we're looking for, Kate.' This unkindness made me feel truly horrendous."

Even though she didn't fit into "someone else's idea of perfect," she chose to ignore the negativity and work hard for what she was passionate about. "I was always auditioning for the school plays," she said. "I didn't really get very good parts, mind you, but I didn't mind. I didn't care. I would often get cast as the crocodile, or the scarecrow, or the dark fairy. I was even a dancing frog once. But it didn't matter. I still loved it. I loved acting. It didn't matter how big or small the parts were. I wanted to be great and I was determined to keep learning." And look where she is now!
