6 Things You Need to Know About Netflix's 13 Reasons Why Adaptation
Jay Asher's heartbreaking novel Thirteen Reasons Why is being developed into a TV series for Netflix, retitled 13 Reasons Why. While details surrounding the project have been pretty scarce over the past year, producer Selena Gomez revealed the release date a few weeks ago, and now we have the official trailer. If you're excited about the adaptation or you're not familiar with the book, check out the crucial details below.
What It's About
Based on the bestselling book, the series follows a teenager named Clay Jensen who receives a series of cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, a classmate who recently committed suicide. On the tapes, she explains to her peers how they each played a role in her death, detailing the 13 reasons she took her own life.
Who's Starring?
Dylan Minnette (Don't Breathe) and newcomer Katherine Langford will play Clay Jensen and Hannah Baker, respectively. The 13-episode series will also star Kate Walsh, Derek Luke, Brandon Flynn, Alisha Boe, Christian Navarro, Justin Prentice, Amy Hargreaves, Miles Heizer, Devin Druid, and Ross Butler.
The Production Team
This has actually been a passion project of Gomez's for quite some time now, and she's an executive producer. Spotlight's Tom McCarthy directed the first two episodes and Brian Yorkey, who won a Pulitzer Prize for his work on Broadway's Next to Normal, wrote the script for season one.

7 Gel Manicure Mistakes That Are Ruining Your Nails
There are many reasons I love a gel manicure, but a few in particular stand out. I'm obsessed that they require zero drying time, which equates to zero probability of smudging. They last for at least two weeks. That enduring glossy finish gets me to book salon visits over and over again. But when it comes time to take off the lacquer, I admittedly get a little lazy. When choosing between squeezing a removal appointment into a busy schedule or picking and peeling on my way home from work, I'm often guilty of the latter.
It turns out that's not the only error I've been making when it comes to gel polish. Chances are, you - and your favorite salon! - are making some of them, too. That's precisely why I enlisted the help of celebrity manicurist Elle. The nail tech (who has painted the talons of Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Blake Lively) revealed that seemingly simple things can cause your gels and natural nails to prematurely crack and peel. But when applied and cared for correctly, these glossy lacquers aren't harmful to your claws at all. Read on to discover her top nail-saving tips.
Wait, Do Prince William and Prince Harry Have a Last Name?
If you grew up fantasizing about marrying your celebrity crush, much like Kate Middleton reportedly did before her dream became a reality, then you probably doodled your new last name all over your notebook (Mrs. DiCaprio had such a nice ring to it). But if your crush happened to be a royal, you probably just stuck to doodling your new prince or princess title. When it comes to royalty, in particular the British royal family, have you ever found yourself wondering if they actually have a last name? Same here.
The world is used to referring to the royals by their proper titles, aka Prince William, Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth II, etc., but what do they do with the "Surname" box whenever they have to fill out forms (or their staff fills them out for them)? Well, it turns out that the British royal family actually does have a last name, they just don't use it. Before 1917, they didn't have one, but George V changed the family name from the German Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to the House of Windsor. In 1960, Queen Elizabeth II decided that she wanted her direct descendants to be distinguished from the rest, so they, including Harry and William, technically carry the name of Mountbatten-Windsor. While Windsor is from the queen's side, Mountbatten reflects Prince Philip's family name. And what about Prince George and Princess Charlotte? Palace officials have stated that HRH ("her royal highness" and "his royal highness") don't formally have last names. So there you have it.
We Dare You to Find Something Wrong With Joan Smalls's Street Style - It's Impossible
Joan Smalls doesn't believe in crazy, elaborate model-off-duty style - she's a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal, just like you. Every time we see photos of the Puerto Rican stunner, who has walked the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for the past six years, outside of the most exclusive fashion shows in New York City, Milan, and Paris, it's not in crazy expensive and unwalkable heels or dresses worthy of a red carpet.
Sure, the model's closet has plenty of sexy Balmain pieces and skin-showing looks, but Joan always chooses comfy pieces (ripped jeans, combat boots, sweatshirts, sneakers) that you too own and love to wear when not at work. Straight ahead, you'll find some of Joan's most real looks that'll serve plenty of inspiration for your outfit this weekend.

Now, another beautiful cover has caught our attention. American Idol veteran Jessica Sanchez recently shared her cover of the song with Matt Bloyd - with a moody stripped-down video to match! At press time, the video has amassed over 100,000 views as well as hundreds of positive comments. Check it out, above.
17 Photos of Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell Kissing Like There's No Tomorrow
There are a few things you can always count on when it comes to Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell: they'll make you laugh, and they'll make out just about anywhere. Whether they're on bikes, on the slopes, or on the red carpet, they never miss an opportunity to lock lips. And who could blame them? The power couple clearly knows the secret to keeping their decade-long romance alive, and we can pretty much guarantee that spontaneous kissing is part of it. Need proof? Big Little Lies: Is There Any Chance We'll Get a Season 2?
Big Little Lies is HBO's breakout hit of 2017, and it's a damn shame that it's about to end forever. We've only experienced six episodes of the show, and it's concluding with episode seven, "You Get What You Need." (Side note: are we to assume the excellent soundtrack will wrap up with the classic Rolling Stones tune "You Can't Always Get What You Want"?) You may be wondering when we can expect season two, and the answer is NEVER. Big Little Lies is a miniseries, based on Liane Moriarty's bestseller. Unless Moriarty writes a sequel (or HBO decides to full-on make one up), there won't be a second season.
On the bright side, that means that we'll get a resolution in the finale; it won't just be one big cliffhanger leading into another batch of episodes. If you've already read the book, you know exactly what happens, but there's always a chance things could go down differently on the show.
Sorry to break your heart.

This Confetti Maternity Shoot Captures the Sheer Joy of a Rainbow Baby
Having endured IVF and two miscarriages, Lauren Giles of Studio 154 Photography is sensitive toward clients who have experienced difficult hardships. "It's like a silent club we're in together," she wrote on her blog. "We mourn and comfort each other in the hard times, and we also celebrate and jump up and down in excitement during the good times!"
With this in mind, Lauren thought back to how she felt when she learned about her own pregnancy while brainstorming ideas for Brittany's rainbow baby maternity shoot. "I remembered what it felt like being told I was pregnant again after experiencing infertility and miscarriages, and now, hearing that heartbeat and being told there was a healthy growing baby inside, it was like rainbow confetti falling from the sky," she told POPSUGAR Moms.
Lauren shared her vision with Brittany, who was pregnant with her own rainbow baby, and the two decided to create the feeling of pure happiness that so many moms can relate to thanks to their little miracles. With two assistants armed with confetti guns standing on either side of Brittany, Lauren photographed the glowing mom-to-be and the sheer joy surrounding her pregnancy. "I wanted to capture that incredible feeling," Lauren added. "I wanted the photos to radiate the joy you feel after the storm you've been in."

Here's That Big Little Lies Theme Song You Can't Get Out of Your Head
Everything about Big Little Lies is addictive, and chances are high that you were be consumed from the moment you heard the opening bars of the theme song. The tune that plays over the moody credits is called "Cold Little Heart," and it's by an artist named Michael Kiwanuka. Fans of Parenthood will be familiar with the sound (and maybe even the name), because he provided a few songs for the NBC series! Listen above; it's just one of many great songs utilized by the show.
Spoiler Alert! What Happens at the End of the Big Little Lies Book
It's been weeks since the Big Little Lies miniseries premiered on HBO, and we're still buzzing about the show's central mystery: who died, and who's the killer? The show stays mostly faithful to Liane Moriarty's novel of the same name, but there are still a few big differences to both the general plot and the characters. Could the ending be one of them? The final episode airs on Sunday, and we have a feeling that the characters at the heart of the novel's mystery will be the same ones in the TV adaptation as well. If you've yet to finish Moriarty's suspenseful novel, you might want to turn back now, because spoilers abound.
MAJOR SPOILERS for the end of the Big Little Lies novel below!
Let's get to the basics first, shall we? The book begins by introducing its first mystery right off the bat. Various parents of students at Pirriwee Public School are giving statements to detectives about an incident that occurred during a trivia night fundraiser at the school; someone died, but no one seems to know who did it or how it really happened (although they have plenty of catty ideas about who might have committed the crime). Then, we go back in time to six months before the trivia night to meet young, mild-mannered single mom Jane, who moves to the small, charming town of Pirriwee on the Australian coast with her son, Ziggy. She enrolls him at Pirriwee Public, which is where she's befriended by fellow kindergarten moms Madeline and Celeste. On orientation day Ziggy is accused of trying to strangle a little girl in his class, Amabella, which Ziggy adamantly denies, setting into motion another big mystery: if it's not Ziggy, who is the true culprit behind Amabella's bullying?
The third mystery also concerns Ziggy. In a vulnerable moment, Jane reveals to Madeline that her son was conceived years earlier during a drunken, violent one-night stand that went incredibly awry. The man was charming at first and introduced himself as Saxon Banks. When they got to the hotel room, however, he began calling her awful names while they had sex, and the situation quickly devolved into something much more abusive. Jane later admits that the reason she uprooted her life to Pirriwee was because on the night she met him, he told her he might be moving there soon. She'd hoped that one day she could confront him for what he'd done in person, but unfortunately she was never able to find a man by the name of Saxon Banks living there.
Meanwhile, Celeste, a former-lawyer-turned-stay-at-home-mom, is married to successful businessman Perry and they have a seemingly perfect life. They're both Hollywood levels of attractive, rich beyond belief, and parents to rambunctious twin boys, Max and Josh (who go to school with Ziggy). Although they're the envy of everyone in Pirriwee, Celeste is hiding an awful secret: Perry physically abuses her (but never in the face, so she can hide the bruises). The night of the trivia fundraiser, Josh comes to his mother and tells her that Max, not Ziggy, is the one who's been bullying Amabella (and another little girl, Skye) at school, because he picked up on what his father was doing. Celeste, crippled with guilt, vows to tell Jane as soon as she and Perry arrive at the fundraiser. Just before they walk inside the school, Perry discovers that Celeste is planning to leave him and take the twins with her and starts to seethe with anger.
Inside the trivia night, the parents are all drunk because the event's food never arrived and begin fighting among each other. Madeline, Ed (her husband), Jane, Renata, Bonnie, and Nathan (Nathan is Madeline's ex-husband, and Bonnie is his new wife) all step outside on the school's balcony for a breather, when Celeste and Perry join them. Jane, laying eyes on Celeste's husband for the first time, realizes that he is Saxon Banks (Perry used his cousin's name on the night he assaulted her). She confronts him and he brushes her off, prompting Celeste to yell at him. He immediately smacks Celeste hard across the face in front of everyone, much to their horror. Bonnie, who grew up with an extremely abusive father, starts screaming about how Perry is the reason why Max has been bullying Amabella and Skye (her daughter) and pushes him backward out of anger. Because of the slippery floor on the balcony and the height of the railing behind him, Perry tumbles backward and falls to his death.
Right as this happens, a fight between a few dads in the other room comes crashing out onto the balcony, knocking into Jane and Madeline, leaving them with badly broken bones. Celeste begins to scream, and that's when the police are called to come handle the situation at Pirriwee Public. Madeline, Jane, Renata, Celeste, and Nathan initially agree to cover for Bonnie, saying that were all looking the other way and didn't see her push Perry, but eventually she confesses to the police herself and is given a few hundred hours of community service as punishment. Celeste moves away from Pirriwee with her boys, but sets up a generous trust fund for Ziggy with Perry's money.
Pretty dramatic, huh? Although the show has gone in a few different directions than the book, we have a feeling it will totally live up to its source material's ending.

We recently had a chance to sit down with the dancer, and we couldn't help but ask about what she loves most about their friendship. "We just keep it real," she said about the former The Vampire Diaries star. "We always have fun." Not only do they share a love for adventure, but she admits they help keep each other young. Each of Clarins's New Lip Oils Has an Awesome Secret Function!
We love mattes as much as the next junkie, but we're predicting that modern lip gloss will be coming back in style soon! Trends always go in cycles, replacing each other. Plus, after a few years of dehydrating our puckers, we need a break - something a bit more nourishing.
Clarins seems to be on the same page as us, since the French brand is released four new versions of its Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. The additional shades each have a special function. Candy and Raspberry offer color-changing formulas that adjust to your PH; Mint cools and plumps; and Honey Glam is perfect the chicest, most subtle way to wear glitter.
The lip oils also have the coziest applicator we've tried yet. The oversize doe-foot is seriously soft and flexible, so you'll want to keep applying. But you likely won't need to, because hazelnut and jojoba oils will keep your lips glossy and moisturized.
While the glosses don't launch until June 2017 (for $26 each), you can get a sneak peek here - and learn all of the juicy details about each one!

Why Didn't Anybody Tell Me: Shakes During Delivery
I felt prepared to give birth. I'd read my books, I'd taken my classes, and my friends shared a few too many gory details prior to the big day - but they didn't share everything.
Heading into my C-section, I was confident and full of anticipation. I knew what the procedure entailed and how long it would take. I knew the schedule for the baby afterward and had a plan so my husband would follow our baby as soon as he left the operating room. But once my son arrived, they came too - the shakes. Nobody warned me about the shakes. And these weren't just a little shiver felt throughout my body, but full-on, uncontrollable shaking that probably made me look like I was convulsing to the untrained eye. I honestly don't remember much about them - I was probably so pumped up on endorphins that they've been erased from my memory - but I do recall having trouble getting a full sentence out of my mouth because my teeth were chattering so hard. The whole "episode" probably lasted the total of an hour, and, like I said, it isn't anything I would have remembered, except that it happened again when my second son was born.
This time around, with a scheduled C-section on the books, I braced myself for some postpartum shaking prior to entering the operating room. My body, however, seemed to have something else in mind.
After receiving a spinal block and lying down on the table, I began to feel cold - like polar-vortex cold. I asked the operating-room staff to raise the temperature in the room, at which point my husband told me that the room was already very warm - he was sweating. Before I could say anything else, the shakes set in, and this time they were uncontrollable! Whether it was nerves (sometimes it's actually worse to know what to expect) or a side effect of the painkillers, I'll never know. But, thanks to a thoughtful anesthesiologist, my upper body was covered with an air-warming blanket that looked like it came out of Big Hero 6, which provided me some comfort and heat throughout the surgery. Before long, my second son was in my arms and the shakes were the furthest thing from my mind.
But consider this your warning. The shakes are real, and they're normal. They are part of your body's recovery (or in my case preparation) and nothing to worry about - unless they're accompanied by a fever. Because heck, you know you wanted your newborn to have an interesting first feeding session.
Did you have the shakes during your delivery?
The Adorable Story Behind Baby Romeo and Juliet's Newest Photo Shoot
Born just 18 hours apart, in the same hospital, by the same doctor, in rooms next door, and coincidentally named Romeo and Juliet, these newborns were destined to be friends from the start. But as their story has captured hearts across the internet, these star-crossed babies have also led their parents to form an unexpected friendship.
Many people don't expect to leave the maternity ward with newfound fame and pals, but most also don't have birth stories quite as cute as little Romeo and Juliet's meeting in the hospital's nursery. Since the families left the hospital, they reunited the following week for a Shakespeare-inspired photo shoot. Cassie Clayshulte photographed the babies before they were discharged and also during this follow-up session. She told POPSUGAR that she was nervous about doing these follow-up photos because of how people might react.
"I had been thinking about doing a little themed shoot for them since their first photo was taken in the hospital, but I wasn't sure how I was going to style a newborn Romeo and Juliet shoot without it looking a little bit cheesy or morbid because of the way the story ends and because newborns are typically asleep for their session for safety reasons," she said. "I was hesitant because I didn't want my clients subjected to any negative comments by internet trolls who have the audacity to write negative comments on photos of newborn babies. (I'd like to see these cowards say these things to a new mom to her face.)"
However, Romeo's parents, Morgan and Edwin Hernandez, and Juliet's parents, Allan Umana and Christiana Shifflett, were thrilled at the idea and moved forward with the photos without making it feel too themed. Cassie made the lace romper and floral crown that Juliet wore as well as the brown romper and gold crown for Romeo.
"It was great to see these sweet families again! The parents have become such close friends and now have an adorable story to share!" Cassie added. "The babies loved being snuggled up to each other, which is not typical when they aren't twins who are used to being next to each other in the womb. They just loved each other and even held hands!"

The Clothes on Big Little Lies Are Ridiculously Honest
Aside from an unbeatable soundtrack, here's one more thing the Big Little Lies HBO series has that the book doesn't: a very talented costume designer, Alix Friedberg, who's behind the wardrobe of every character on the show. Friedberg depicts so much about the women of Monterey, CA through their outfits alone. Inspired by her own life as a mother as well as the story she's helping to tell, Friedberg understands the importance of her role: "My job is to give an actor the second skin they need to become another person," she told W Magazine.
Friedberg even goes as far as to assign Madeline, Celeste, Renata, Jane, and Bonnie - played by Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Zoe Kravitz respectively - favorite fashion labels, proving she's got a true grasp on each lady's image. Scroll for a full breakdown, along with our own take on the clothes that bring these strong spirited girls to life on screen.

8 Famous Women Who Probably Inspired Some of John Mayer's Love Songs
As much as John Mayer is known for being one of the music industry's most talented musicians, he's also garnered quite the reputation as a playboy. After all, the "Gravity" singer's long list of flings, hook-ups, and on-and-off relationships includes some of Hollywood's most high-profile female stars. To be fair, we can't blame them. There's just something about the way Juliana chooses her looks that makes us want to pay attention. She can look totally polished in Valentino shoes and a coat with fur details but also carry pieces that belong at a music festival (chill palazzo pants, short skater dresses, printed minis). She's already taught us so much, and it's time you pick up a few tricks by taking a look at all the reasons we admire her style.

Can you imagine him singing "Your Body Is a Wonderland" on your couch while staring at you with those big, puppy-dog eyes? C'mon, it's no wonder women can't help but fall for John.
Sarah Paulson: "I'd Like to Play Donald Trump" on American Horror Story
Now that we know the seventh season of American Horror Story will tackle the 2016 election, it's time to start brainstorming. Who will play who? It's pretty murky as to whether or not Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will literally appear as characters (Ryan Murphy has gone back and forth in his recent comments about the season). At Sunday night's AHS Paleyfest panel in LA, though, Sarah Paulson herself weighed in on the the casting. Seeing as Paulson has appeared in every season of AHS, and she's locked into the seventh season's cast, it's not a question of if she'll appear on the season, but rather how.
During the red carpet for the panel, Paulson had an interesting personal pick for her character in the new season. When asked by The Hollywood Reporter who might play Donald Trump in the seeing (assuming we'll actually see a Donald Trump character), the actress actually chose herself. "I'd like to play Donald Trump," she said. "If Donald Trump is going to be in a character in it . . . why not? That's an acting challenge to be sure." When you consider that with all the other crazy details we've gotten, it seems like we're gearing up for a rather explosive season.
I'm Hopelessly Addicted to Magnetic False Lashes (and Never Turning Back)
Guys, we need to have a talk about magnetic lash extensions. And by "a talk," I mean that I need to tell you how they're a f*cking godsend. I use them most times I wear makeup; basically, if you see me post a selfie anywhere, I'm probably wearing a pair of my magnetic falsies. I keep a pack of the lashes at my desk at work, I care for mine religiously at home, and I estimate that I've convinced at least 15 friends to buy their own pair. Considering the fact that many salons charge between $100 and $200 for lash extension treatments that only last a month, I feel obligated to share my experience with these reusable, easy-to-wear lash boosters. I've become something of a magnetic lash disciple.
Basically, if you see me post a selfie anywhere, I'm probably wearing a pair of my magnetic falsies.
When the producer of my weekly POPSUGAR Snapchat series, First Impression Friday, told me that I'd be trying magnetic eyelash extensions, I was nervous; I'd never even heard of magnetic lashes, let alone whether they were safe to use! But to make a long story short, the magnetic lash extensions from One Two Cosmetics ended up being my favorite product ever tested on First Impression Friday in over a year of shooting the Snap series - and I refused to part with them after we wrapped. I brought home the package of magnetic lashes and proceeded to wear them every single day for two weeks.
Like any self-respecting millennial, I took to social media to spread the word about the magnetic lashes, posting a blurb about them on my Instagram story. I received TONS of questions from friends and followers about the lashes, so I figured this review might be a good place to answer them! Read on for images of the lashes in action and answers to all the questions I've been asked since I began wearing the magnetic lash extensions.
Glitter Tears Prove That Sadness Can Be Absolutely Stunning
Though glitter tears have made a runway debut, sometimes it takes a fashion-forward millennial celebrity to get a movement going. So was the case when Elle Fanning attended the Saint Laurent show in February with rock 'n' roll gunmetal glitter smudged under her eyes. The look was badass, and it definitely inspired those gifted with outstanding makeup skills to copy it on Instagram.
The glitter tears fad marries two trends: extreme sparkles and grunge beauty. Women and men are showing it off in every which way - from pairing it with rainbow hair to wearing it as a soft shimmer. It's an exciting time for beauty with Halloween ideas seeming to creep into everyday wear. Keep reading to view some of our favorite glitter tears executions from the Instagram community.

Dancing With the Stars: Julianne Hough Calls Out Her Season 24 Picks
Image Source: Getty / Noam Galai
Julianne Hough is one busy lady, and she doesn't plan on stopping anytime soon. On top of judging Dancing With the Stars this season, the dancer is also set to light up the stage with her brother Derek for their upcoming Move Beyond tour. As if that wasn't impressive enough, she's also bringing awareness to endometriosis, a disorder she's been struggling with since 2008, through a new health campaign, "Get in the Know About Me in EndoMEtriosis." POPSUGAR recently had a chance to talk with the star, and she filled us in on her favorites for the mirror ball trophy, how she plans to balance DWTS and her tour, and what it's like hitting the road with her brother Derek.
POPSUGAR: Dancing With the Stars recently kicked off season 24. Do you have a fan favorite yet?
Julianne Hough: I actually have a lot. It's a really strong cast this season. I really love David Ross and Lindsay [Arnold]. I thought that they were just refreshing and a breath of fresh air. Rashad [Jennings] was obviously amazing; Simone [Biles]; Heather [Morris]; I loved Mr. T. I don't know how far he's going to make it in the competition, but as far as his heart and his warmth, you think he's going to be this big tough guy and then, he's just the sweetest, kindness man.
PS: Even though Derek won't be back as a contestant this season, you are getting ready to go on tour with him again. You're actually going to give a sneak peak on Dancing With the Stars this season, right?
JH: Yes! We will be performing one of our numbers from the show on April 3. It's exciting! I'm actually going to be on the tour the entire season of Dancing With the Stars and flying back every Monday. The tour actually coincides with Dancing With the Stars.

PS: How will this tour be different from your past tours together?
JH: Oh my gosh, it's above and beyond anything we've ever done. Our set is so new and really different. We have a lot more props. The last tour we had such a great video screen that we didn't have a lot of space for props, and now we have the space and we're gonna prop that stage up. Our costumes are incredible. We're singing, we're dancing, we're really heavy on the crowd interaction - bringing people up on stage, us going into the audience. Our VIP packages are so much different, too. It's like a full-on lounge, and there's no lines. There are all these different interactive things like photo booths and a green screen, and there's a little display of all of our memorabilia throughout the years. I've got a broken Dancing With the Stars trophy in there, and my country music awards, and acting stuff. It's going to be really fun and I feel like the fans are really going to feel a part of and connected to us even more this year than they ever have.
PS: What is the best and worst part about touring with your sibling?
JH: The best part is that we're best friends and we get to hang out all the time, but like anybody, you can get sick of somebody really quickly, but we're on the same bus so you really can't tell them to go their room. It's so fun, though. We have such a blast. Derek is funny too, because he'll just end up sleeping in the lounge and we'll wake up and he'll just be passed out on the couch, watching a movie with his one junk food, chips and salsa, and they'll just be sprawled out across. That's the one thing that I'm like, "OK, Derek, just get in your bunk and sleep."
Why 1 Mom Appreciated Her "Dinosaur" Breast Pump So Damn Much
Since giving birth to a baby girl, Aela Mass hasn't been only bonding with her newborn. The new mom and writer has also been spending some serious quality time with her breast pump.
Despite it being a massive and heavy chunk of plastic, this mom has grown fond of the device and appreciates all that it has done for her family since she had her baby. In a refreshingly different post on Facebook that was actually thanking - and not bemoaning - her breast pump, Aela gave her new friend a proper send-off when their time together was done.
"Had to ship out this dinosaur of a breast pump today (insurance only covers this one for four months)," she wrote. "I was so emotional about saying goodbye to it that I had to take a family selfie!"
As many breastfeeding moms know, your pump can quickly become a valuable asset, and Aela didn't take it for granted. "Oh, Dino Medela, how you've become part of this crew. I'll miss our middle-of-the-night sessions, our pumping-at-work-sessions, our are-you-kidding-me-I-have-to-pump-again sessions," she wrote. "People tease you about your size, but you'll always be my first love, you brawny pump, you. Thanks for helping to keep our sweet daughter fed. You really have been the best."
Aela was able to get a pump for the first few months of her baby's life from her insurance company thanks to the Affordable Care Act and explained her close bond with it. "It was such a big part of my day, and such a big part of being able to feed our daughter - especially after I returned to work; and it was such a big part of allowing my wife to also feed our daughter," she told Babble. "And even in the middle of the night, tired and half asleep with a machine pulling milk from me, I just felt so grateful to be able to be pumping, to be providing my daughter with food - my DAUGHTER! Alive and well. And how amazing it was for me to be able to provide for her."
Once Upon a Time: Colin O'Donoghue Teases Hook and Emma's Happy Ending
There are plenty of heartfelt love stories on Once Upon a Time, but none of them quite compare to that of Captain Hook and Emma Swan. They may be in a predicament at the moment, but not even Gideon can come between true love. While the future of the show is still uncertain, we have hope that these two will find their way back to each other in the end. POPSUGAR the opportunity to talk with Colin O'Donoghue, who was promoting his new film Carrie Pilby, and he reflected on how far his fan-favorite character has come over the years, what it's like working with Jennifer Morrison, and what he thinks Hook's happy ending might look like.
POPSUGAR: Hook has changed a lot over the past few seasons. What do you think is his most admirable quality?
Colin O'Donoghue: I mean, he's a different character now. It's probably that he's redeemed himself and is trying to be the best person that he can be, which is a difficult thing to do, to overcome those demons for the better of not just himself, but for the better of the woman he loves and her family. However, I did love playing the villainous Hook. It's always fun to get to play the bad guy.
PS: Hook and Emma are definitely one of the most beloved romances on the show. What is the best part about working with Jennifer Morrison?
CO: I'm lucky that Jen and I have got a fantastic relationship. We get on so well and it makes it easy to translate that into the characters. Jen is friendly with my family and my wife and all of that is very important. Sometimes when you come onto a show, you don't know if that's going to work or if the chemistry is going to be there, and we just have a laugh. That's the most important thing is to enjoy what you do. We're at ease working with each other because if you have tension with someone, that translates on screen. Luckily, on Once Upon a Time, we get along so well, so it works.
PS: I know the show hasn't been renewed for another season yet, but what do you think Hook's happily ever after would look like?
CO: Hook's happily ever after would just be getting an evening or night where both he and Emma can sit down and maybe have dinner or watch TV or have a glass of wine, because in Storybrooke, they literally never get a chance to do anything. As soon as anything slows down, you guarantee Grumpy is going to come running around the corner saying that some sort of curse is coming or there's a giant snowman attacking the town. I think his happily ever after would just be a week's worth of peace and quiet where they can be normal people. Maybe we'll get to see that in the second half! That would be good.

The Secret to Burning More Calories in Zumba? Have Fun
The death knell to my decades-long attempt to love running came from the numbers my heart rate monitor displayed at the end of a Zumba class. The amount of calories burned after dancing full out for 60 minutes was as high, if not higher, than what I was burning during my sad, lonely, 10-minute-mile-pace hour-long runs. When I realized I could burn serious calories while having serious fun, I retired my running sneakers for dancing shoes and never looked back.
To me, dance cardio feels like a party; I leave the studio euphoric. And because I am a numbers gal, my good mood is definitely boosted by seeing the high number of calories burned. But to get that number high, you can't phone it in - you gotta work. Here's how to boost the intensity of the workout and burn even more calories in your next Zumba class:
- Use your arms: Make your arm movements as big as you can, and embrace the choreography. Moving both your legs and arms in large ranges of motion is one of the physical benefits of Zumba, when compared to the more limited and concentrated forward motion found in running or cycling. Wave those arms in the air like you do care.
- Catch air: After you've properly warmed up, do all of the jumps in every routine - so yes, you need to try the high-impact versions of the moves. If your knees are opposed to jumping, keep both feet on the floor but move with intensity and commitment.
- Drop it low: When the teacher says go low, go low. There are many squat- and lunge-like steps in Zumba choreography, so take advantage of these strength-training moves and work your full range of motion. When you move bigger, you burn more calories.
- Move like you mean it: Rather than throwing your arms about, imagine you're moving your limbs through something thicker than air, like water, to activate the muscles in your back, chest, and arms. If the choreo is quick, then do what you have to do to hit the beat, but if you're dancing a powerful paso doble, whipping your imaginary cape around, or cooling down with some dramatic flamenco moves, add some muscularity to the moves.
- Just dance: To me, this is the most important advice on this list: let yourself dance and really give yourself over to the music, the rhythm, and the choreography. The more self-conscious you are, the less fun you will be having; you will be moving smaller and therefore burning fewer calories. So in essence, if you let yourself enjoy dancing, no matter how you think you look, you will get more out of the class both physically and emotionally.
I know not everyone is comfortable dancing, but every Zumba class can be considered a case of "fake it until you make it." The more you dance, the more familiar you become with the steps (which you can do in this 30-minute Latin dance cardio workout), but if you're pushing your comfort zone and having trouble mastering the choreography, remember: just keep moving.

Recall Alert: 1 Million Pounds of Chicken Nuggets May Contain Metal Shards
If you have any ready-to-eat breaded chicken nuggets in your freezer, you might want to think twice before serving them to your kiddo. The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that OK Foods Inc. is recalling 933,272 pounds of breaded chicken products due to possible metal contamination.
Five separate complaints sparked the recall, and it is believed that the metal shards came from a conveyor belt. Although there have been no "adverse reactions" reported, that isn't a chance that most parents are willing to take. The affected products were available nationwide and include chicken nuggets, patties, fries, and fillets. They were sold at some Walmart stores under the brand names Farmington, Smart Foods4Schools, and Great Value between Dec. 19, 2016, and March 7, 2017.
If your chicken falls under the recall, it will be marked with "P-7092" inside the USDA mark of inspection on the packaging. For more information, check out the full lists of recalled items here and products labels here.
