The Surprising Bath Product That Could Alleviate Your Migraines
Besides the pain of a throbbing headache, the most frustrating part of being a migraine sufferer is how difficult it is to find an effective treatment. I personally have given up on preventative or emergency medications, as many of them have only made me feel worse. But thanks to a viral Facebook post, those dealing with these awful headaches may finally be able to get some relief.
The Daily Mail discovered Facebook user Jill Hamilton's tip from a friend, which declares Johnson's Baby Soothing Vapor Bath ($5) as "life-changing."
"I get unbearable migraine headaches," read the post. "I started using this in the shower every night, I lather up really good and breathe in the smell for about five minutes then rinse off. And no more migraine!"
The relief may be due to the aromatherapeutic blend of rosemary, eucalyptus, and menthol. Cathy Glaser, the president of the Migraine Research Foundation, told Allure that researchers have been focusing on the benefits of menthol in particular.
"Menthol has been used as a 'non-drug' therapy for headaches for centuries. Although there are anecdotal reports that it's helpful, there is no scientific research supporting its use," says Glaser. "That's why we funded a study on cornmint oil (which is what menthol comes from) last year."
While there are no results yet from that study, it's worth testing out the Johnson's Baby Soothing Vapor Bath in the meantime. It could seriously improve your life if it works, but worst case scenario, you're out $5 - with a squeaky-clean body.
Jimmy Fallon's Daughters Steal the Show at the Opening of His Universal Studios Ride
Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show are taking over Universal Studios Orlando Resort this week for the grand opening of his new thrill ride, Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. In addition to enjoying the parks and photobombing fans with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the late-night host also took time to give a speech about how much his new ride means to him. While attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony with his wife, Nancy Juvonen, their two adorable daughters, Winnie and Frances, ended up stealing the entire show. Not only were they too cute for words in their matching yellow dresses, but they also waved and clapped as their dad spoke to the crowd outside the park's fake New York City backdrop.
"I can't believe this is really happening," Jimmy said. "The Tonight Show is all about fun and positivity and laughter and putting a smile on your face, and that is what this ride is all about. I'm so proud of it. As a kid from upstate New York, I never imagined I would be a talk-show host let alone have my own ride. It goes to show that if you keep dreaming big anything is possible." The sweet family moment is even cuter than their recent ski trip in March (but still doesn't top the girls' Halloween costumes from 2015).

Expect a Little Time Jump When The Walking Dead Returns
Warning: spoilers for the Walking Dead comic books below!
We've got a long six months ahead before The Walking Dead returns for season eight. In that time, we've got plenty to ruminate on. Everything that happens in the season finale, from the general slowness of the season to Daryl's mysterious wooden soldier find, is fodder for critical thinking. Taking all that into consideration, showrunner Scott M. Gimple has given us something else to mull over: a season eight time jump.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gimple admitted there may be a small temporal shift in the near future. When asked if season eight would kick off with a leap forward, he said, "I won't be specific about that, but there will be no mind-blowing temporal shifts. But there might be a bit of a jump, but I don't think it'll be 'oh my god'-level." It may seem like nothing, but we have to consider that Gimple could be downplaying what's ahead.
How could a time jump manifest on the show? Well, we could miss part of the war with the Saviors by skipping the beginning stages and jumping to the dire consequences of the battles somewhere in the middle. There's also a chance we could make progress and skip through the end. Or perhaps we'll leap backward, in the same way the finale featured the profound return of Abraham, just before his death.
And then there's the massive time jump that happens in the comic books. After the "All Out War" with Negan ends, the story springs into the future - two years into the future, to be exact. Without giving too much away, Alexandria has been rebuilt, Hilltop has a new leader, and a new enemy emerges. It's possible this could happen sometime in season eight or at the very end.
All theorizing aside, if there's any time jump that's absolutely necessary, it's a time jump from right now to season eight's October premiere.
Parents Share Heartbreaking Warning After Their 11-Year-Old's Deadly Allergic Reaction
When 11-year-old Oakley Debbs ate a piece of cake over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend last November, his family had no idea that it had the potential to kill him.
Oakley had a peanut allergy and when he realized his mistake, his family was alarmed but gave him Benadryl, which seemed to do the trick. His mom, Merrill, explained to WMTW that the allergy medicine had always worked in the past after an accidental consumption of nuts. She also shared that he felt "great" for the rest of the evening after taking the medicine. However, his condition took a drastic turn later that night and he went from playing with cousins and his twin sister to vomiting. Within minutes the child could no longer breathe.
"He was blue," Merrill said. "He was unconscious. My husband was holding him. He basically was gone." Four days later, Oakley died in the hospital and his parents are now speaking out to hopefully prevent other families from enduring the same tragedy.
The family shared their remorse for not knowing how dangerous their son's allergy really was and explained that if they had known, they would have taken immediate action. According to the family, they always thought Oakley's asthma was a much bigger threat and focused on that condition because they weren't aware of the severity of his allergy. "There was always an asthma plan. We didn't really have a defined nut plan which we're finding out needs to be really defined," Oakley's dad Robert said.
On the day of their son's death, Oakley's family started the Red Sneakers Foundation in honor of his favorite shoes. This organization was created to help raise awareness for food allergies as well as change labels on food packaging. "If someone wrote, 'Contains nuts, may kill you,' like cigarettes or something, people would understand it," Robert said.

Our Baby Was Killed at Day Care - and It Wasn't an "Accident"
His death could have been prevented. YourTango shares the story of Shepard Dodd's life via his father, Derek.
Shepard was an unnaturally happy and healthy 11-week-old baby boy. He would smile until something needed to be corrected. He would cry, you would fix it, then he would smile again. He was a special baby to my wife and I after years of infertility, and he had a life ahead with limitless possibilities.
Which is why on April 6, 2015, our world changed forever.
We chose an in-home day-care provider in Oklahoma (where we reside) to watch Shepherd. The woman was highly recommended by a friend and she would only watch teacher's kids. This meant she would be closed during the Summers and school breaks, which was great for us because I'm a teacher.
On April 6, I left for work early and was able to kiss Shepard and Ali goodbye. I will never forget him looking over for me and smiling. Shepard had only been going to the in-home day care for five days when Ali took him on that Monday. He had his first runny nose that weekend and had woken up that morning with congestion, but he was in good spirits, so we weren't overly worried.
Ali messaged the day-care provider about using a rock'n'play for sleeping so that Shepard could be on an incline instead of having to lie on his back. Originally she agreed, but when Ali arrived and saw what it was, she couldn't let him sleep in it.
In fact, this childcare giver confided that she had been cited by the Department of Human Services (DHS) 10 days earlier for allowing another infant to fall asleep in a swing, and that they told her how dangerous both car seats and swings were for babies to sleep in.
On that Monday, as Ali was unpacking her diaper bag, she realized that she had forgotten the bottles so she ran back home. She was very concerned about Shepard getting sick if she were to lay him down flat for his naps. While she was home, she grabbed her Ergo 360 carrier that our childcare giver had used before so she wouldn't have to put him down if she didn't want to.
Ali also requested a doctor's note for the caregiver so she would also have the option to use the rock'n'play. When Ali returned, the childcare giver reported that she had come up with a plan: she would sit the rock'n'play in front of the couch so Shepard could nap in it, so if DHS stopped by to "check on her," she could just pick him up and answer the door with him.
This ensured she wouldn't get in trouble. Ali, feeling confident the attention Shepard would be getting would be more than sufficient, left to go to her morning meetings and notified our childcare giver that our doctor was faxing her the note for the rock'n'play at 9:45 a.m.
At 12:51 p.m., the daycare provider called Ali and told her she needed to come quickly. The childcare giver reported that Shepard wasn't breathing. She had called 911, and a police officer and EMTs had responded.
Ali asked her to give the phone to an EMT, and after speaking with him she knew the situation wasn't good. Ali called me. In the middle of teaching a class I had to answer the phone to Ali saying I had to go, that Shepard wasn't breathing.
I ran to the truck and drove way too fast to the day-care provider's home. When I arrived, they were wheeling my son out of the house on a stretcher. They were still working on him, but told me that they had yet to get his heart going or him breathing on his own.
As I rode in the van in front of the ambulance, I had to prepare myself for life without my son and the grief that would follow. When we arrived at the hospital, as they wheeled him past me into the ER, I gave him a kiss on the forehead.
He was cold.
As they were working on our son, the attending physician came over and told us that they would try another push of epinephrine and two more rounds of CPR, and then they would have to call it.
Surrounded by doctors and nurses with looks of pity, and police officers, detectives, and DHS officials waiting to interview us, we had to say goodbye to our son, intubated on a stretcher.
Unbeknownst to us, our childcare provider had been educated by DHS for the swing violation where she was specifically counseled about safe sleep practices. The next day, DHS returned due to the serious violation, and she was reminded again of the dangers of putting a child in a swing.
It's documented in her public file that she specifically inquired about infants napping in their car seats. DHS told her that sleeping in the car seat was a dangerous practice and would increase the chances of SIDS. She was told this just 10 days before she chose to put our child in an unbuckled car seat on the floor, swaddled, where he wiggled down until he lost his airway and suffocated to death.
He was unable to alert anyone to the terrible trouble he was in because the door was closed and there was no monitor to catch his struggle. In addition, our childcare provider was distracted by her friend who had stopped by around lunchtime so she could drop off her 2-year-old while she went and had lunch with other moms.
TWO HOURS passed before she finally checked on Shepard and found him completely blue.
The childcare provider has never been charged with any crime. Shepard's case is still open and we're hopeful as a family that justice will find her in this world or the next.
This wasn't an accident.
She knew that a car seat wasn't safe for sleep and that two hours is much too long to leave an infant behind a closed door.
Shepard's death doesn't have to be in vain. Unsafe sleep surfaces are a REAL danger. We're looking to focus the attention to safe sleep standards so they can protect Oklahoma's children from negligent decisions.

9-Year-Old Saves Mom's Life Thanks to Simple Lesson He Learned in Health
When 9-year-old Camdyn heard his mom say she was having chest pain, the little boy knew exactly what to do: call 911. If it weren't for a simple lesson he learned in health class, his mom, Kimberly Smith, might not be here today.
On March 2, Smith woke up with pain in her chest, heavy limbs, and shortness of breath, and though she knew something felt wrong, she continued to power through her day of caring for her 4-week-old son and two older boys. The single mom was preparing to take a nap and hopefully sleep off what she thought could be pneumonia when Camdyn got home from school and saw her clutching at her chest.
Camdyn knew to be more concerned for his mom than Smith had allowed herself to be. "My health teacher said if someone grabs their chest like that, I should call 911," he told her. "I'm going to get my shoes on. We need to get to a hospital."
Following a call to her doctor to outline her symptoms, an ambulance was called and Camdyn rode with his mom the whole way to the hospital, chatting with the paramedics. At the hospital, Smith was diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolisms - multiple blot clots in the lungs - which, according to a blood test, were a result of genetic predisposition, but also a likely result of the C-section she'd had four weeks previous.
"I never thought I'd be here," Smith wrote on a GoFundMe page created to help with her medical expenses. "I really want to spread awareness about blood clots. It was the single most scary thing I've gone through. The thought of not being with my children is heart wrenching! My intention was to not ask for any help at all and to really stress to others to be aware of what their body is saying! Truth is I am a single mom and could use a bit of help, but not real good at asking for that!"
And as for Camdyn? The little boy is rightfully being hailed as a hero for knowing what to do and remaining calm for his mom under pressure. "My son, who said, 'I don't feel like a hero,' now really does feel like one and he loves reading all the nice words being said!"

Elle shared a few of the heartbreaking (and anonymous) statements on Facebook as a reminder to everyone to "leave this life a little better than how we found it."
"Kid 1: I wish my teacher would know, my dad is in jail and I haven't seen him in years.
Kid 2: I wish my teacher would know, I don't always eat dinner because my mom works and I don't know how to work the stove.
Kid 3: I wish my teacher would know, my sister sleeps in the same bed as me and sometimes she wets the bed and that's why I smell funny.
Kid 4: I wish my teacher would know that I don't always have sneakers for gym class because my brothers and I share one pair.
Kid 5: I wish my teacher would know I like coming to school because it's quiet here, not like my house with all the yelling."
This simple activity reinforced Elle's desire to spend her life hopefully making a difference for others. "We spend so much time talking and judging what we think we know . . . we need to ask more questions and spend more time listening," she wrote. "We also need to shift our mindset and see things from other people's perspective, give more than we get, and live to serve."
Turmeric Is the Hottest Ingredient to Add Into Your DIY Skin Care Routine
If rubbing a bright orange substance on your face makes you feel like Donald Trump, don't worry - what we're about to tell you has nothing to do with politics. The formula we're referring to is the turmeric spice, and it's a buzzy term in the holistic health community right now. The spice hails from India and has traditionally been used in cooking (it's part of the ginger root family). But these days, people are adding it to everything from their smoothies to face masks. We're going to explore the latter since turmeric has many amazing beauty uses.
"Turmeric is an age-old ingredient used for its internal as well as external health-and-beauty-promoting properties," explained Sheetal Rawal, a scientist and founder of brand Apsara. "It has been used in the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years for its natural antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and color-balancing properties. Currently, it is also gaining quite some fame in the West for its significant antioxidant properties."
This ability to bring down inflammation translates to skin care by minimizing acne or bringing down a rosacea flare-up. You can also rely on it for antiaging benefits. "It is loaded with key vitamins that facilitate important skin renewal processes, such as the creation of collagen," added Adina Grigore, the founder of S.W. Basics.
Barbara Close, founder and CEO of Naturopathica, explained the science behind this: "Extracts from turmeric, known as tetrahydrocurcuminoids, efficiently quench free radicals on the surface of the skin due to their antioxidant properties. This protects against damage from ultraviolet radiation and environmental irritants."
In fact, it is even incorporated into prebridal Indian rituals, during which the bride and groom are massaged with a turmeric-infused, homemade herbal concoction. "Turmeric in this age-old concoction is supposed to bring out the 'hidden glow' of the skin," Rawal shared.
Those with sensitive skin should not fear turmeric just because it's spicy. "It's wonderful for anyone who has supersensitive skin, but even for normal skin types, it really makes the skin look flawless," said Joanna Vargas, celebrity facialist and owner of her eponymous brand. "Make sure you are using pure organic turmeric. Some generic store-bought options contain dyes that can stain your skin after application. This is one ingredient where you must go organic."
If you're still hung up on having an Oompa Loompa face, Grigore has more to add on the matter. "And no, to answer your burning question, it won't dye your skin yellow," she mused. "If you're using it in powder form, just be sure to rinse it off thoroughly!"

The Rock Brings 1 of His Biggest Fans to Tears After Epic Photobomb Surprise
Jimmy Fallon and Dwayne Johnson took a nod from Bryan Cranston's undercover appearance at Comic-Con and dressed up as giant mascot versions of themselves to walk around Universal Studios undetected this week. After competing to get more selfies and hugs from people in the park, they snuck into Jimmy's new ride, Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. While unsuspecting families had their pictures taken at the end of the ride, the pair pulled off some Jon Hamm-worthy photobombs in the background and later took off the big masks to surprise the hell out of their fans. The last guy they meet might be the world's biggest fan of The Rock (he even has his face tattooed on his leg!) and was brought to very happy tears.
These Unicorn High-Heel Shoes Are So Extra, and We Can't Handle It
The unicorn trend has officially gone too far. That's the first thing we thought when we saw these unicorn high heels on Irregular Choice, a British shoe website. As you can see, the unicorn shoe comes to life with a unicorn head, and, yes, a horn to complement the unicorn hair. There's also a ponytail on the back of the heel to complete the whimsical, pastel-colored shoe. While we debate on whether or not we love or hate this unicorn fashion trend, read on to see more angles of the superextra yet supercreative high heel.
The Surprising Truth About Refrigerating Butter
One of the most heated debates in the kitchen is whether or not you should refrigerate butter. Some people cringe at the thought of leaving butter on the countertop, while others swear there's nothing worse than cold, hard butter straight from the fridge. It's an understandable question with an even more complicated answer. The short answer? It's OK to leave it out - with some restrictions.
While butter is a dairy product, it's mostly fat, meaning that it's less susceptible to bacteria. Salted butter is even less prone to bacterial growth than unsalted butter because of its sodium content, so the shelf life of the two types of butter is slightly different. When it comes to leaving butter out of the fridge, the first important rule is that it should be kept in a butter crock or a similar airtight container. If butter is exposed to air, it spoils much more quickly. When properly sealed in the container after each use, salted butter sitting out in a crock will last about two weeks, according to Organic Authority. If room temperature in your kitchen reaches above 70°F, however, it's best to refrigerate ASAP. But unsalted butter is best left in the fridge at all times.
I went to college with a man, nay, a boy, who insisted on leaving butter on the counter and never refrigerated it.
- bobby shmerde (@asapnaf) March 29, 2017
@drewmagary I recently began leaving butter out. It is a life changer.
- Michael Clarke (@mClarkish) January 31, 2017
Dunno what annoys me more about my mums bf, the fact he butters one side of bread for a sandwich or him leaving the butter out the fridge
- kendo (@ALEXKEND0) February 1, 2017
If you need softened butter for baking but didn't give it a chance to reach room temperature, the trick is to grate the butter so it becomes soft.
Tarek El Moussa Just Revealed What Pushed Him to File For Divorce and It Might Shock You
When Tarek El Moussa filed for divorce from wife and HGTV partner in crime Christina El Moussa in December 2016, we had a lot of questions, and now, he's telling all. Tarek recently sat down with Us Weekly to talk about what caused his split, as well as that shocking incident where Christina called the cops on her then-husband in May of last year.
"It was a gradual thing over time," the Flip or Flop star said when asked about what went wrong in his marriage. "We were both very busy people with health issues and kids. We didn't fight, we just grew apart." He explained that his battle with cancer took a toll on their relationship, as well as Christina's fertility issues and their miscarriage after having Taylor, 6, and before welcoming Brayden, 16 months.
Although the news of their split was shocking, fans were even more shocked to find out that Tarek and Christina decided to continue filming the show despite their divorce. When asked if it was awkward, Tarek said, "You have good days and bad days. Now we say, 'Hi, good morning.' We film together and talk about houses and the kids. . . . We'll be together for the rest of our lives because we have kids. We need to get along for the kids and for our sanity."
True that! But things did not seem so cordial between the parents of two after the news broke that Christina called the cops on Tarek after he left their home with a handgun in his backpack. As for why she called 911, Tarek said, "You'd have to ask her. It was blown out of proportion. I went hiking in Chino Hills State Park. We have bobcats, mountain lions. I took my gun only for protection."
He said that they went through counseling to try to work things out, but they realized a separation was the right decision. "Over the Summer, I moved out," Tarek said. "We thought it was best to have space. We didn't want the kids to see us upset."
Although there were some suspicious rumors about Tarek hiring a private investigator to check on Christina, he refuted the claims and said he was "done worrying about the past."
So, how's he doing since the split? In addition to saying he's "totally moved on," Tarek truly sounds like he's living his best life. "My goal is to create memories, and I think I'm doing that," he said. "I'm the happiest I've been in a long time. It takes a situation like this, where you get knocked down and you rebuild yourself into the person you want to be. I'm becoming the person I want to be."
Things Got Awkward When 1 Girl Told Her Teacher Her Dad Has "Lots of Weed" at Home
When Skylar told her teacher that there's "lots of weed at home" and that her dad even grows it, she technically wasn't lying. However, as parents of little kids know, they often say the darnedest things, and even when they are speaking the truth, you can't always take what they say at face value. Although Skylar was correct in her innocent observations about the abundance of green plants at her home, it was her delivery that left her dad and teacher having an awkward conversation.
"Weed is not good for you and we have a lot of it," Skylar said in a video captured by her dad, Dax Holt, as they discussed the incident. Dax shared the video of their chat on Facebook with the perfect caption.
My child's teacher: "So Skylar tells me you guys have a ton of weed at home."
Me: "Umm."
Teacher: "She said you're growing it."
Me:
When Dax asked Skylar if she told the school that they have a lot of weed at their house, she very seriously replied, "Yeah, a lot of it. Weed is not good for you because weed is stuff that is grass, but it's not grass because it's weed."
To clear the air, Dax asked her to explain what she meant and to show the camera. With a simple nod of her head, she headed outside and began pointing out weeds in the garden and all around the lawn. Kids certainly have a knack for putting parents in awkward situations!

7 Questions That Will Knock the Socks Off Your Interviewer
"Do you have any questions for me?" is the inevitable question you'll hear at the end of any interview. You should always ask the interviewer questions at that point to show that you are truly interested in the job. Asking the right questions can impress the interviewer - it can make you look thoughtful and enthusiastic. And don't forget that interviewing is also a two-way street: it's your chance to find out if the company is the right fit for you.
1. Can You Tell Me About Your Experience at the Company?
This is a great question, as people love talking about themselves, which will make your hiring manager think more positively of your conversation. In fact, brain scans actually show that talking about yourself activate the parts of the brain related to the pleasure you get from things like food and sex. In short, giving your interviewer a chance to talk about themselves will make them happy. At the same time, her answer will clue you into what it's like to work at the company and how your career progression may look at the firm. Other variations of this question include, "What do you like most about working here?" or "What has kept you at the company for so long?

2. Why Is This Position Available?
Perhaps this position has been newly created or the person who had the job left for another company or another position within the same firm. This will help you figure out your expectations for the job. If the employee who held this position moved onto another position in the same firm, this shows that mobility and growth is possible within the company. If the person left, it could be that the position didn't offer the growth she was looking for or she got a better offer elsewhere.
If the position has just been created, you may be hitting the ground running once you start. This means you may have less guidance with this role, as it could be a position the company is unfamiliar with.
3. What Are Some Challenges the Team Is Facing, and How Do You Hope the New Hire Will Help in Those Obstacles?
This question shows that you're serious about doing what it takes to succeed if you get hired, and the interviewer's answer will help you get a better idea of what to expect at this role. This will also help give you a sense of current situation of the team and the company to see if your skills and experience match what they are looking for.

4. Other Than Learning the Ropes, What Should Be My Top Focus For the First Few Months?
With this question, you're not just asking the interviewer what they are looking for in a candidate - that's obvious from the job listing. You are getting to the specifics and finding out what they are hoping the new hire will accomplish at the start of the job. This shows your enthusiasm for doing a good job, and the answer will help you figure out if the company is a right fit for you.
If you get an offer and decide to take it, the interviewer's response will also help you come up with a game plan for the first few months that will impress your new employer.
5. How Would You Describe the Company Culture?
This is a good question because it not only shows your interest in fitting in, but you can also figure out if you'll be happy in the working environment.

6. From What I've Read, You Are Working on a New Venture X or Putting More Focus on Y. [Insert Specific Question About X or Y.]
This shows that you're paying attention and are interested in getting started. You will also learn more about the company and figure out if the direction that it's taking is in line with what you are looking for. And if you can't find information about the company, you should ask questions about projects it's are working on and goals it hopes to achieve this year.
7. [Insert Your Own Unique Question.]
Don't just repeat the questions you find on this list or others you find online. Come up with your own question based off the answers from your interviewer. This shows that you are paying attention and quick on picking up details - both great traits for an employee. Coming up with questions that are tailored to your conversation with the interviewer requires a lot of active listening, which you should be doing throughout the interview.

Jared Leto Talks Tattoos, Smelling Musky, and His Minimalist Hair Care
Any child of the '90s likely had a crush on Jared Leto (ahem, Mr. Jordan Catalano) and probably still does (I do!). Thankfully Jared is still acting and performing with his band, Thirty Seconds to Mars. And can we talk about the internet's obsessed with his ever-changing hair?!
The renaissance man is also the face of Gucci fragrances, and the campaigns are pretty steamy (see exclusive behind-the-scenes images here!). This Spring, he is fronting the campaign for Gucci Guilty Absolute (an earthy-woody scent). In the ads, photographer Glen Luchford shot Jared starring at his handsome reflection in the mirror. Since that was not enough Jared for us, we also got to interview him via email about his grooming and scent routine . . .
POPSUGAR: What does Jared Leto smell like in three descriptive words?
Jared Leto: I think I like heavier, muskier smells in general. I don't love flowery, powdery smells. I love kind of darker, stronger smells.
PS: What is your favorite scent memory?
JL: I've always had a strong sense of smell and I think smells for me, I remember when I was a kid, that the smell of a fireplace. This is gas, but the smell of a fireplace is always really powerful to me. A campfire, a fireplace, it always brings back memories.
PS: We are obsessed with your hair texture. How do you take care of it?
JL: I take a shower and shampoo and that's it.
PS: What is your guilty pleasure?
JL: Maybe I have a guilty indulgence with art and creativity because as an artist you can be indulgent, and it's important to be, in a way. To spend time thinking about your own creative desires.
PS: What is your skin care routine?
JL: I don't do any beauty routine, in my own personal life. I try to eat as good as I can, and I try to sleep. But for films, I would do whatever it takes. I made a movie in Budapest, Bladerunner, and it was a lot of makeup and big transformation. [For] another movie in Japan I had tattoos everywhere - all over my body, my whole body - it was crazy. Eight hours in makeup.
The Reason This Woman Has "Decided" to Stay Pregnant For 260 Weeks
Lauren has been pregnant since 2012 . . . with the same baby, because she can't afford to take time off work from her job that doesn't have paid leave . . . so she's just decided to stay pregnant until she racks up enough vacation days to have a baby.
OK, so Lauren's case is impossible, but the message behind her it-would-be-funny-if-it-weren't-true situation is applicable to many moms (and dads) all over the US who don't receive paid leave. This video from the National Partnership For Women and Families seeks to bring light to this issue with a touch of humor and a whole load of truth bombs.
"It's absurd that most US workers - 86 percent - don't have paid family leave through their employers," the caption on the video reads. "And only some are lucky enough to live in the four states that have paid family and medical leave laws. But we can change this." The organization offered a course of action on its website: "Ask your members of Congress to watch the video and then stand up for a robust national paid family and medical leave program."
Do it for yourself. Do it for Lauren.
This Commercial Could Save Your Baby's Life Someday
It's really easy to tune out during TV commercials, but this one could save your baby's life. When St. John Ambulance questioned parents, the British first aid charity found surprising results: over 40 percent of parents had witnessed their baby choke, but more than 75 percent of them were clueless about how to help.
In order to educate parents, caretakers, and peers about proper emergency treatment for infants, St. John created an advertisement about how to care for a choking infant. Called "The Chokeables," the commercial is narrated by small toys that pose a choking hazard to small children. It's a cute ad but a serious topic - watch to learn about this lifesaving technique, and then share it with every parent you know. It could save a life!
Watch Demi Lovato Prove She's Indeed a Musical Diva to James Corden
Demi Lovato is a diva and now the world knows it. The singer challenged James Corden to a Divas Riff-Off, and boy did she give him a run for his money. While James sang some older classics like Aretha Franklin's "Respect," Demi brought it back to this generation with Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and her own hit "Heart Attack." The two proved to be very tough competitors but only one reigned supreme. Watch the video above and see for yourself.

The Truth About How Men Choose the Woman They're Going to Marry
Our friends at YourTango break down what love and marriage means to the men who love us most.
How do you get a guy to pop the question?
You may be incredibly sexy and great in bed. We may have sex with you both morning and night. And we may remember you fondly.
However, this is not enough to marry you. In fact, it has little, if nothing, to do with it.
The reason men marry women happens outside the bedroom. Now, you're wondering how to get him to marry you?
Simple. We marry women who can make us better men.
It starts out when we notice that our car is cleaner and our house is cleaner. But then it goes deeper than that. A noble quality comes over us and we want to take care of you.
We want to know where you are. We care about the condition of your car and we make sure you have enough gas. Little things we never thought about become important.
We care about how you feel, not just how you look.
As a woman, you may be thinking, "That sounds great! How do I make it happen?"
The truth is there's nothing you can do to make it happen. However, you can allow it to happen.
It's energetic. The first and most important thing is that a man loves a woman who loves him, but not more than she loves herself. Some people call it confidence - but it goes deeper than that.
Confidence is what you can do; self-love is who you are.
The second key, which builds on the first, is allowing love to happen: You feel comfortable and worthy of being cared for not for what you do but for who you are.
Allowing love means when he checks on your car, you let him. When he wants to get you gas, you let him, rather than saying you can get it yourself.
For a man to become a better man, he needs the space and the opportunity to do so. In short, a man marries a woman who he believes makes life better - and even better, you allow it to happen.

My Boyfriend Had to Choose Between His Mom and Me - and He Chose Me
Last year, I met a guy. A perfect guy.
He's charming, funny, sweet, endlessly patient (seriously - he takes my constant button-pushing like a champ), ambitious, handsome, happy. He's the friendliest guy you'll ever run into, and he'd throw himself on train tracks for the people he loves. I knew I got lucky when I met him on Tinder last Summer (yes, good things can come of the app!). We've been together ever since.
The one imperfect thing related to him? His mom.
She's a psychiatrist and a strict Muslim, and she hates me. So much so that I've never even met her, nor am I allowed on her property (which is actually no issue for me - I'm OK with staying far away from her, believe it or not).
I knew what I was getting into when we first met, after my boyfriend explained to me that his mom had become a religious fanatic ever since his dad died about 15 years ago. His mom is from Pakistan, and his birth father is from India. They had an arranged marriage after migrating to the US, where my boyfriend was born.
Growing up an American, there were some serious cultural differences between him and his mom. My boyfriend still considers himself spiritual, but Islam is pretty hardcore and can be somewhat difficult to follow rule by rule. For example, dating is prohibited - hence why there are so many arranged marriages in the faith. Can you imagine meeting someone for a few supervised lunches and then agreeing to bind yourself for life? (My boyfriend describes this as generally how arranged marriages go.) I, personally, can't even wrap my head around it.
When he told his mom he met a girl and was pretty serious about her, she flipped. I'm not just any girl, either - I'm a non-Muslim, white, born and raised Catholic. Basically, his mom's nightmare.
I remember feeling completely guilty about her reaction. I even tried to break up with him a couple months later, because I thought the differences in our backgrounds were too great. Another factor in my attempted split was the fact that his mom literally told him I wasn't allowed in his driveway to pick him up after he had surgery and couldn't drive. (I had to wait a ways down the road.)
Speaking of that surgery, my boyfriend's mom prayed over his hospital bed because she thinks he's going to hell. To hell, because of me! It was too much for me to deal with, and I thought it best for us to part ways. My boyfriend eventually talked me off the ledge. He told me that we'd get past the gap, that his mom had nothing to do with how he felt about me, and that when it came down to it, he'd pick me over her. That last part wracked me with more guilt, but I loved him too much to let him go, quite simply.
And it did end up coming down to that one crucial choice: me. The result is something of an estrangement from his mom. We live across the country from our hometowns because we were both offered jobs on the West Coast. When we fly home, my boyfriend and his mom barely speak to each other. The only reason he'll stay at his mom's place is because he's still close with his stepdad and sister. I can't picture how awkward that household is.
The good news is my parents are very tolerant, and they wholeheartedly approve of my boyfriend. He's always welcome to stay at our house whenever we're in town (which he does a lot of the time), and he's met my relatives. It's impossible not to love my boyfriend, so in a way, I feel bad for his mom. She's definitely missing out.
Overall, I try to be understanding. It used to grind my gears that she wouldn't even give me a chance, but I've come to accept that this is just the way it is, and her beliefs will never budge. Just as I have my own religious values, I must accept hers for what they are.
Honestly, it could be worse. She could be one of those batsh*t crazy, overprotective mothers who can't keep her hands out of our affairs. Quite the contrary: she's sort of just let her son float away like a balloon on a cool, cloudless day. And one day she might run after it, realizing what she's letting go - but I won't count on it.
