The Most Stylish Moments You Might Have Missed From the Met Gala

We waited an entire year to see what amazing ensembles A-listers would choose for this year's Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons theme, but in the blink of an eye, fashion's most illustrious night came to an end. Since so many celebrities and designers attended the event to show their support for the Costume Institute, chances are you might have missed some amazing moments. Whether it was Katy Perry sending a message with her red veil or the adorable moment when Diddy laid on the Met Gala red carpet to get the best view of his girlfriend, Cassie, here are the most stylish moments of the 2017 Met Gala.

Viola Davis's House Is So Not What You're Expecting

Oscar winner Viola Davis has a big and illustrious career, so we assumed her home would be grand as well. But we were pleasantly surprised to see that Viola has been living in a surprisingly normal (by Hollywood standards) abode for the past decade. Her five-bedroom, five-bath property sits in a picturesque neighborhood with close-packed houses in Granada Hills, CA, far from the hubbub of Beverly Hills and Hollywood.

It seems, however, that the actress is ready for bigger things, as the stucco home was just listed with broker John Mazziotta of Re/Max Olson & Associates for $1.19 million, which is just a touch over the $1.17 million Viola is said to have paid for it in 2005. The property boasts nearly 4,000 square feet of living space, including a top-of-the-line kitchen, a living room with large windows, soaring ceilings, a sprawling master suite, and a gracious dining room. With its lagoon pool and spa, built-in barbecue, and dining terrace, the backyard is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of shooting How to Get Away With Murder. Check out the charming property ahead.

Alex Rodriguez Proves He's Jennifer Lopez's Biggest Fan With This Met Gala Moment

In case you needed further proof that Alex Rodriguez is totally smitten with new girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, here it is. Photographers caught ARod taking photos of his leading lady on the red carpet at the Met Gala. We don't blame him, because Jennifer looked gorgeous in a duck-egg-blue Valentino dress.

On his Instagram, Alex said: "Admiring Jennifer doing her thing on the carpet at the #MetGala2017." Smitten, we tell you!

The couple made their official red carpet debut at the prestigious event and took everyone's breath away. Keep scrolling to see Alex take it all in while snapping some sneaky shots of J Lo.

There's a War Raging on Twitter Right Now Over Dear White People

While a large portion of critics and audiences are praising Dear White People as a work of genius (it currently has 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes), some Twitter users are not as pleased. Season one of the show, a continuation of the 2014 film of the same name, has been up on Netflix since April 28. Starring Logan Browning, the series takes place on the fictional Winchester University's campus and tackles a number of social and political issues. Here's a quick rundown of the Twitter controversy that's been kicked up recently.

These Photos From a "Mexican-Themed" Frat Party Will Make Your Blood Boil

A party scene from the film Project X

When it comes to themed parties, there is a fine line between dressing up and appropriating a certain culture - but one fraternity at Baylor University unquestionably crossed that line, and several others, when they threw a "Mexican-themed" party. Members of the Kappa Sigma frat threw a party where attendees not only dressed in sombreros and ponchos, but dressed as construction workers and maids, and some even showed up wearing brown face paint.

Following this horrifying "Cinco de Drinko" party, students at the Texas school responded by protesting on campus and expressing their outrage on social media at the racist display, seen below.

Dr. Kevin Jackson, the vice president for student life at Baylor University, issued a statement about the party. "The reported behavior is deeply concerning and does not in any way reflect Baylor's institutional values. University officials are presently investigating the incident and gathering additional information . . . We do not tolerate racism of any kind on our campus," he wrote.

The school has followed up explaining that the Kappa Sigma chapter has been suspended "pending the completion of a formal inquiry involving the organization and a culturally insensitive event that took place off-campus." The University's representative explained that the fraternity's national organization supported these actions.

This is not the first time a fraternity has been under fire for promoting culturally insensitive themed parties, and it's something that needs to stop. In 2014, University of California at Davis students dressed as Mexican border agents to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. With so many stories about offensive themed parties, why do students continue to do this?

Nobody on Planet Earth Is Worthy of Rihanna at the Met Gala

Did you think Rihanna wasn't going to totally outdo everyone at the Met Gala? Do you even remember the gorgeous yellow monstrosity she wore in 2015?! The fashion icon and Bates Motel star hit the red carpet on Monday night in a colorful architectural dress that will have piñatas everywhere shaking in their papier maché boots. Of the many, many daring ensembles at the couture event, Rihanna's was far and away the best suited for the night's theme, Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo. Although the look didn't include a diamond bodysuit, it's the perfect outfit to scam a rich man out of millions, if you ask me.

Workers Are Reportedly Making $62 a Week to Manufacture Ivanka Trump's Clothing Line

Ivanka Trump's clothing line is under fire again. Following the revelation that Stein Mart was selling Trump's clothes under a different label, another damning report discloses that the company responsible for manufacturing her line, G-III Apparel Group Ltd., violated multiple international trade treaties.

According to an investigation by the Fair Labor Association, an international organization dedicated to promoting laborers' rights, G-III's Chinese factories accumulated two dozen UN labor violations. Most egregious and, sadly, unsurprising of the report's findings? How overworked and underpaid laborers are at G-III's factories.

The Fair Labor Association discovered that workers were paid $62 for a 60-hour workweek - which rounds out to about $255 a month - in its October report. Worse still, the factories also violated overtime regulations; workers logged between 42 and 82 hours of overtime when 36 hours is supposed to be the limit.

While the report did not specifically mention Trump's clothing line, the investigation centered on G-III's faults. The manufacturer also has partnerships with DKNY, Calvin Klein sportswear, Levi's, and Tommy Hilfiger, to name a few. Trump, who has since stepped down from her official role at her the eponymous brand to take a position in her father's administration, has yet to respond to the report. However, Trump's brand cited G-III's statement when asked for comment. "Our goal is to always attain and maintain the best labor conditions possible in these factories," the company said in a statement to NBC News.

Now, it seems the Chinese trademarks Trump's brand recently acquired after she coincidentally dined with the country's president might encounter some difficulty coming to fruition.

Selena Gomez’s Eye Shadow Transformed Her Entire Look at the Met Gala

Selena Gomez had jaws dropping and heads turning when she arrived at the 2017 Met Gala, but while most were in awe at her first red carpet with boyfriend The Weeknd, we couldn't help but fall into the gaze of her stunning makeup.

Selena might have opted for an understated Coach slip dress, but that captivating eye shadow fell perfectly in line with the Comme des Garcons theme. Chris McMillan took care of her sleek A-line bob, and celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo gave Selena a nude lip to guarantee all eyes were glued to her striking Marc Jacobs pink eye shadow.

"I originally was going to do something very soft on Selena, and kept that idea in mind for the most part when deciding on her makeup look," Vanngo said. "The twist was the bright pink eyeliner I came across while sorting through colors. I thought it would be a fun punch of color, but still go with the overall makeup look."

To create that radiating hot pink eye, Vanngo used Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon in Pop(ular) 49 ($25) and the soft shadows from Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Eye Shadow Palette in The Lover 220 ($59).

It Took Rihanna an Hour to Get Into Her Shoes, So You Must Give Them Another Look

Rihanna pulled out all the stops with her 2017 Met Gala outfit. She stuck to the theme of the night by honoring Rei Kawakubo in an intricate floral dress from Comme des Garcons's Fall 2016 collection. The ruffled ensemble embodied the fantasy artwork of Kawakubo and of course had us wondering what exactly went into getting dressed for the big night.

Luckily, Rihanna had plenty to say when she chatted with Vogue's André Leon Talley. The star revealed it took an hour alone to get into her shoes - a pair of red strappy Dsquared2 thigh-high heels - and that she was wearing boy shorts underneath her look. While you can't see those, you can give her sexy footwear another glance and appreciate the Comme des Garcons dress as it will make Met Gala history.

Bella Hadid Gets a Haircut to Match Her Sexy Met Gala Look

Bella Hadid's new bob is remarkable for several reasons. First of all, we managed to notice it in spite of her sexy Met Gala bodysuit. Second of all, she's rocking it not long after her breakup with The Weeknd.

Also, unlike many faux-bob-loving celebs, Bella appears to have actually gotten a chop. Hair guru Jen Atkin shared a video on Instagram with the caption, "When that new new haircut is on POINT @bellahadid!" The bob comes courtesy of Ward Stegerhoek. Look through to copy it for yourself.

Eyes Up Here! Kendall Jenner's Met Gala Makeup Also Deserves a Look

While everyone was talking about Kendall Jenner's sheer gown at the Met Gala (understandably), we were eyeing her head-turning lip color. The model showed off the limited-edition lipstick shade she created with Estée Lauder: Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Carnal.

According to makeup artist Mary Phillips, "Kendall had been thinking about her makeup for a week or so, but then last night an episode of the show aired and she got an amazing response from this red lip she was wearing - that's when she decided to do a bold, red lip using the shade she created with Estée Lauder." Dress, schmess; we want that lipstick.

The Internet Had a Lot of Reactions to Kendall Jenner at the Met Gala, and So Will You

Looks like Kendall Jenner took a page out of her big sister Kim Kardashian's book. On Monday, the model had no qualms about showing off her rear as she attended the Met Gala in NYC wearing a barely there gown made out of 85,000 hand-painted and -placed crystals. Of course, it didn't take long for people to react on social media. While some people praised her unconventional look, others weren't as enthusiastic. See some of the funniest reactions below.

If You Think the Front of Kendall Jenner's Met Gala Dress Is Revealing, Just Wait Till She Turns Around

Of course, only Kendall Jenner could rock a nearly naked dress to one of the most talked-about red carpet events in the fashion world. The supermodel showed up at the Met Gala in a black La Perla Haute Couture gown that left little to the imagination. The gown actually features over 85,000 crystals and a thigh-high slit. The daring sheer gown also features a long slit that starts at her shoulder cuts across all the way down to her waist.

And as if that wasn't revealing enough, Kendall turned around to show the back of the dress that put her famous, um, assets on full display. Take a look at what's probably one of the steamiest Met Gala looks of the night and maybe ever.

See All the Smoldering Beauty Looks From the Met Gala

Award season may have officially come to a close with the Oscars, but that doesn't mean that there's no red carpet glam to feast your eyes on. Quite the contrary, in fact - the Costume Institute Gala at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art has the most creative, unexpected, and outstanding assortment of celebrity hair and makeup looks every year, and 2017 is no exception. This year, the evening honored Comme des Garcons's Rei Kawakubo, which has translated into avant-garde-style beauty from models, actresses, and fashion icons alike. Keep reading to see some of the most jaw-dropping creations, from Katy Perry's moody veiled headpiece to Lily Collins's crisp gothic lip.

Don't Miss a Single Look From This Year's Met Gala

Cohost Katy Perry's wardrobe was costume-like to begin with, and what fun would it be if the supermodels, designers, and stars didn't follow in her footsteps? Ahead, see how everyone showed up to the ball, all to celebrate fashion as an art form - literally.

Yep, there will definitely be waterworks.

Emma's Solo Will Be Extra Sentimental

The series really paid close attention to detail for this musical episode. The song, "Emma's Theme," is actually adapted from the character's musical score throughout the past six seasons.

There Could Be a Few Bumps Along the Road

Even though true love usually overcomes all obstacles, the Black Fairy is still in town to cause trouble. "Weddings on the TV series Once Upon a Time traditionally are fraught with unexpected circumstances," the show's creator Adam Horowitz teased. "And this is no different."

The Reason Everyone Wore Red to This Year's Met Gala

For the stars who wanted to follow the Met Gala theme, Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between, there were several ways to go about it. Rihanna and Tracee Ellis Ross both wore full-on Comme des Garcons looks, while some celebrities just incorporated red into their outfits. Why that color? One of the key themes in Kawakubo's work is the use of scarlet, specifically pertinent in her Fall 1988 collection. The move to a brighter tone came at a time when she designed mostly in black, leading Kawakubo to declare that "Red is the new black."

Whether they're on the red carpet or runway, it's the red looks that shock and awe. That's probably why we're so obsessed with Rihanna's Met Gala dress. It might not be sexy or wearable in the conventional sense, but it pushed the boundary of style on the biggest night in fashion. Add in the fact the design was red, and you've truly witnessed peak Comme des Garcons. Scroll to see why the ladies who rocked the powerful hue on the carpet were the boldest stars of the night.

Here's Why Kanye West Wasn't at the Met Gala This Year

Kanye West skipped the Met Gala this year while his wife, Kim Kardashian, hit the red carpet solo. People reported on Monday that Kanye is "still very much enjoying his time off from public events" and hung back in LA with kids North and Saint. "It had nothing to do with the Met Gala," People reported. "It was more about the stress and pressure of a big red carpet. He just wasn't quite there yet." Kim confirmed his absence in a red carpet interview with André Leon Talley, saying, "He's been taking some time off and really loving that."

Kanye has been lying low since his hospitalization in November; after an incident at his personal trainer's home, Kanye was admitted to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and placed on a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold. Kanye is famously friends with Vogue's Anna Wintour, and he and Kim have attended the Met Gala together since 2013, when she was pregnant with North. While he wasn't by her side this year, "everything is great" with the couple and he is reportedly "supportive of her going solo."

Can You Spot These Beautiful Celebrity Tattoos From the Met Gala?

There are a lot of obvious elements to admire when a celebrity walks the red carpet at an award show - her gown, her hair, her makeup - but make sure you don't miss the details. And by that, we mean her tattoos! Stars often cover their body ink for different movie and TV roles, but everything gets exposed when they rock those sexy dresses.

Also, because celebrities get access to top tattoo artists, they often have chicer-than-average designs. So if you're thinking about getting inked, you may want to look for some Hollywood inspiration. Keep reading to see all of the tattoos we spotted at the Golden Globes, People's Choice Awards, SAG Awards, Grammys, Oscars, and Met Gala.

Look Back at Princess Charlotte's Cutest Pictures - So Far!

Princess Charlotte made her grand entrance on May 2, 2015, days after her reported April due date. While the wait was longer than expected, the princess more than made up for it with her first public appearance outside the Lindo Wing of London's St. Mary's Hospital. We got another glimpse at the little royal when her first portraits were released in June 2015 and again when she was baptized a month later. Last year, Prince William and Kate Middleton released photos from their ski vacation to the French Alps, as well as some precious pictures of the little tot roaming around their family home in Norfolk - and most recently, she embarked on her first royal tour. Take a look at the princess's cutest moments so far, and then be sure to check out Prince George's best pictures!

These Photos of Prince Harry Taking Selfies Will Bring You So Much Joy

Have you ever noticed that whenever Prince Harry is doing something involved with the Invictus Games, he looks like he's having the time of his life? A few weeks after hanging out with an adorable 2-year-old at the UK team trials for the athletic competition, he brought athletes who participated in the 2014 and 2016 Invictus Games to watch the annual Army vs. Navy rugby match in London on Saturday. Harry, who will be attending Pippa Middleton's wedding with girlfriend Meghan Markle later this month, was happy to goof off with everyone in the stands, taking selfies and making funny faces.

As patron of the athletic competition - which is the only international sport competition for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women - he's been extremely involved since its inception. Last year, he kicked off the Invictus Games in Orlando, FL, with the help of Michelle Obama, and he has kept in touch with the athletes ever since. Harry's Invictus Games Foundation was the official charity of this year's rugby match, so he also went onto the field to chat with some of the players from the Royal Navy and British Army and to help sing the national anthem.

Serena Williams Makes a Stunning Red Carpet Debut After Revealing Pregnancy

Serena Williams slays just as hard on the red carpet as she does on the tennis court. After spending a relaxing few days in Mexico with her fiancé, Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, and accidentally revealing the fact that she's pregnant with her first child, the tennis champ hit the red carpet at the Met Gala on Monday night. The high-fashion event was full of jaw-dropping couture, as usual, but few of the guests looked quite as stunning as the expectant mom (who is giving us major mermaid vibes with that gorgeous gown, right?) and her husband-to-be.

Once Upon a Time: Emma and Hook's Wedding Is Even More Magical Than We Expected

Once Upon a Time fans: we hope you're sitting down for this. We've been shipping Captain Hook and Emma Swan ever since their first encounter in season two, and now they're finally tying the knot! So far, ABC has only released one still from their wedding (which will double as the musical episode), but we also managed to grab a few GIFs from the episode's preview.

While Hook looks dapper in his fitted tux, it's the Savior who really steals the show in her Grace Kelly-inspired gown and veil. And just look at how happy the Charmings look walking her down the aisle! The fate of the show might be unclear, but we've never been more sure of Emma and Hook's love for each other. Is it possible that these two lovebirds will finally get their happy ending? Guess, we'll just have to tune in on May 7 to find out.

Hook's Voice on Once Upon a Time's Musical Episode Is Strangely Enchanting

Yo ho, it's a pirate's life for us. Once Upon a Time recently released a sneak peek of the upcoming musical episode, and it features none other than fan-favorite Captain Hook. Back in the Enchanted Forest, Prince Charming and Snow White enlist a little help from their soon-to-be-son-in-law to defeat the Evil Queen once and for all. Not only is it great to see Hook back in his traditional garb, but we also can't get over how broodingly handsome he is as he sings about getting revenge on Rumple. If you thought you were obsessed with Colin O'Donoghue before, just wait until you hear his enchanting voice.

Met Gala Afterparty or Boxing Ring? Katy Perry's Outfit Was Ready For Either

We don't think we'll ever be able to forget Katy Perry's 2017 Met Gala ensemble. Simply put, the custom Maison Margiela Artisanal outfit was both mesmerizing and bewildering - making her afterparty outfit look a little more understated in comparison. That being said, the "Bon Appétit" singer still wore a sequined leotard, glittery tights, a garter belt, and a sequined cape.

Following the Met Gala on May 1, Katy arrived at her afterparty at the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel alongside friends Margot and Mia Moretti. The whole getup - namely the cape - actually reminded us of her 2013 Video Music Awards performance, wherein she performed "Roar" in a boxing ring. While it may have been a nod to that memorable performance, she might have also wanted to just slip into something a little more comfortable.

Janet Jackson Confirms Her Split From Wissam Al Mana in a Video to Her Fans

Janet Jackson doesn't have anything to hide from her fans. Just a few months after welcoming her first child, son Eissa, the singer posted a special message to YouTube on Monday. Aside from gushing about her beautiful, loving, and happy baby boy, she also confirmed that she is getting a divorce from her husband of almost five years and Eissa's father, Wissam Al Mana. "I just want to keep it real with you guys for a quick second," she began. "Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God's hands." Not wanting to end things on a sad note, Janet also revealed the exciting news that she is going back on the road this September after delaying her Unbreakable world tour to expand her family.

Exclusive: The Deck of Scarlet x BabsBeauty Makeup Palette Is Here

Deck of Scarlet, the subscription makeup palette service, has just revealed its latest collaborator: BabsBeauty. The YouTube beauty sensation (aka Stephanie Stipes) will release her Deck of Scarlet x BabsBeauty onto the masses on May 1. The palette contains seven highly pigmented shades and includes three eye shadows, two lip shades, a blush, a highlighter, and a lip chubby stick.

The stand-out shade in this collection is a saturated royal purple eye shadow called "Sophia." The bright color is ideal for creating bold eye looks with a Summer twist. Using it as an eyeliner or to create a smokey eye will elevate your makeup to a warm-weather appropriate look during months when black can look too harsh.

The shades have a sexy feel to them, which should be no surprise for fans of the BabsBeauty YouTube channel, as she tends to prefer a glamorous full face of makeup. The sleek black packaging says "hot" on the front in bold white letters, which is exactly how you'll feel rocking this palette.

To get your perfectly manicured hands on this product, you need to subscribe to Deck of Scarlet. The subscription service sends customers a makeup palette every other month for $30. If you don't like a month's selection, you can skip that month and only pay for the ones you want to own. The collections are always limited edition and cruelty free, making them a special addition to your beauty collection.

If You Loved 13 Reasons Why, You Need to See This Broadway Show Right Now

Have you ever felt like nobody was there? Have you ever felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere? Have you ever felt like you could disappear? Like you could fall, and no one would hear? Well, you're not alone.

In a time when it seems like everyone is consumed by social media, the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen really hits home on what it's like to be a millennial or any person struggling to find their way. Inspired by a real-life event, lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (who won an Oscar for La La Land) set out to create an original musical alongside writer Steven Levenson (Masters of Sex) and famed stage director Michael Greif (Rent). After a run in Washington DC and off Broadway, the show made its grand opening at the Music Box Theatre in December 2016 and has been earning rave reviews from critics and celebrities alike ever since. Not to mention it was just nominated for nine Tonys, including best musical! With its moving story, catchy score, and stellar cast, the musical is sure to earn not only your praise, but steal your heart in the process.

Coping with crippling anxiety, the title character (played by Ben Platt) finds it extremely difficult to fit in. His single mother is always working, his only acquaintance at school is a family friend, and the girl he likes doesn't even know he exists. Every day is a constant struggle, until the unexpected death of a classmate gives him a voice he never knew he had, even if it is all based on a lie.

On top of the moving story, the music is infectious. When the single "Waving Through a Window" was first released, I played the track for five days straight. Even after seeing the show, I still have the urge to bust out the lyrics to "Words Fail" during my morning commute on the subway. You think I'm exaggerating, but just wait until you hear the soundtrack for the first time. You won't just tap your foot to one of the melodies during the show; you'll come out humming three more of them when you leave, guaranteed.

Even though the music is show-stopping, don't expect any over-the-top numbers with glittery sets and extravagant costumes. With an ensemble of only eight actors, there are absolutely no frills. It's just real emotions and raw performances. While Rachel Bay Jones (Heidi Hansen) and Laura Dreyfuss (Zoe Murphy) are forces to be reckoned with, nothing compares to the musical's star, Ben Platt. To say he steals the show would be a complete understatement. As Zac Efron puts it, Platt isn't just playing Evan Hansen; he's becoming him eight times a week. His fumbled words? Real. His slobbery tears? Real. His gut-wrenching charisma? Very, very real. He shined in Book of Mormon and Pitch Perfect, but this is his ground-breaking role.

With so many different themes like depression, anxiety, and loneliness throughout, we can all see a bit of ourselves in one of these characters: the socially awkward teen, the daughter whose parents won't stop fighting, or the classmate who feels like there's no other way than just giving up. In between numbers, I could audibly hear the audience choking back sobs. My mom and I bonded with a young man sitting next to us during the intermission as we talked about how we related to Evan, his mother, his classmates, and all that in between. At the heart of it all, this isn't just a show - it's a story that needs to be told. Because no one deserves to be forgotten. No one deserves to feel like they could disappear. Even when you're broken on the ground, you will be found.

How 1 Clever Mom Taught Her 7-Year-Old a Serious Lesson on Online Safety

Despite only being 7 years old, Sue Samad's little girl had a serious confession to make. After her iPad time was over and she was tucked into bed, the child came downstairs crying that she needed to tell the truth: she broke the house rules and had been chatting with gaming people online.

The little girl knew that she broke the family's "no chat" policy and begged her mom to punish her because she deserved to be grounded for her actions. Instead, her mom came up with an even better way to ensure that her child learned the magnitude of her mistake.

"It got me thinking, OK ... I ground her, confiscate the iPad, but really no lesson is learned," she wrote on Facebook. "My absolute manic mind came up with this faux letter with letter head and all. I put it in our mailbox this afternoon addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Taher. The letter is just reminder, deterrence, and will possibly freak the crap out of her for a few years (I hope)."

The fake letter was signed from Security Intelligence for Children Cyber Safety and informed Sue that her child had breached the cyber internet safety contract for kids. It explained that her daughter's Wi-Fi had been disconnected and can only be reinstated when the child proves to her parents that she is "responsible and understands the immediate dangers she has put herself an her sibling in."

According to Sue, the response she got when showed her children the letter was exactly what she was hoping for and it was a tool to help them discuss the importance of online safety. "The letter doesn't replace continuous education about cyber danger, stranger danger, and keeping the open dialogue and honesty with your children," she wrote. "If they make a mistake, pull them up, watch what they are doing, let them make mistakes with you and be OK to discuss those awkward subjects that make your stomach squirm."

Sue explained that she doesn't believe in denying her children access to the internet since it's such a big party of this generation's daily life but she does hope parents learn from both her daughter's mistake and her reaction to it. A reminder to all of us to watch what our children do online, be the helicopter parent, observe their behavior, be open with discussion even if it's so uncomfortable and beyond their years of understanding," she wrote. "My hope is to raise resilient and socially-conscious children who God willing will grow up sensible children. And to add some humor to this very disturbing topic ... it'll be a great piece to present at her 18th birthday."

New Study Will Make You Question Everything You Know About Intermittent Fasting

It's no secret that losing weight is hard, and these days, more and more people are turning to intermittent fasting when clean eating and avid exercising just aren't getting the job done. But does this method, particularly alternate-day fasting, actually produce tangible results compared to simply counting calories? Science says the difference may be negligible, so you may want to rethink your weight-loss plan.

A study recently published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine followed 100 obese adults for one year to observe the potential difference between fasting every other day versus restricting daily calorie intake. All participants were randomly assigned to one of three groups: the alternate-day fasting group (which consumed 25 percent of their normal calorie intake every other day and 125 percent of it on their alternate "feast" days), the calorie-counting group (which consumed 75 percent of their usual calorie intake every day), and the control group (which carried on their merry way with no diet intervention for the sake of the study).

When the study concluded, researchers found those who stuck to the alternate-day fasting routine lost 6 percent of their weight while those in the calorie-restricting group lost 5.3 percent, which really isn't much of a difference. Although according to the founder of alternate-day fasting, James Johnson, MD recommends you eat very little one day (one-fifth your normal daily calorie intake), then the next day eat your normal daily calorie intake (not 125 percent as represented in the study), which probably accounts for those participants not losing as much weight.

Beyond that, the study also discovered that 38 percent of participants who did intermittent fasting dropped out of the process, compared to the 29 percent of those from the calorie-limiting group who did so.

The findings of this study suggest something we knew all along: there's no one-size-fits-all method for shedding the pounds. One of our editors gave intermittent fasting a try, and it worked wonders for her, but that doesn't mean it'll produce weight-loss results for everyone. As always, we suggest consulting your doctor before adopting any new trendy methods for slimming down.

Celine Dion Had Entirely Too Much Fun at Her First Met Gala

Celine Dion made her Met Gala debut in NYC on Monday night, and the singer seemed to have had the time of her life. Not only did she flash some leg while hitting the red carpet in a custom Versace dress, but she also hammed it up while posing for Vogue's Instagram art installation (did you catch that shoe phone?) and partied it up with Migos at Katy Perry's afterparty. Not a bad Monday night for 49-year-old Celine, who revealed to E! that she worried about not being let into the event. "Bring your stuff just in case they don't let you in," she said. "I would've started singing in the middle of the street [had they not let me in.]"

Proof That Princess Charlotte Is the Spitting Image of Queen Elizabeth

The past year has been full of milestones for Princess Charlotte. Since becoming fourth in line to succeed the throne in May 2015, Charlotte has experienced her christening and first public appearance at Trooping the Colour, and most recently, she embarked on her very first royal tour with older brother Prince George and her parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William. As we got a glimpse of Charlotte during her time in Canada - waving to fans, playing with balloons, and smelling a bouquet of flowers - we couldn't help but notice how similar the adorable 2-year-old looks to her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. The striking resemblance is evident in their round cheeks, wide smiles, and big, bright blue eyes. Days after Charlotte's birth, the queen said of her fifth great-grandchild, "We love to have another girl," while Kate revealed that Charlotte is "very cute" but "has got quite a feisty side." Sounds like she and the queen have more in common than looks.

All We Could Focus On During King Carl's Birthday Celebration Was His Grandchildren

The Swedish royals celebrated King Carl XVI Gustaf's 71st birthday on April 30. Prince Carl Philip was in the palace square with his father while the rest of the family, including wife Princess Sofia, watched the festivities from the balcony. Even though it was the king's big day, it was Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar who stole the spotlight. The royal siblings looked too precious for words as they stood alongside their parents, Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, at the palace. Aside from waving to the crowd, Estelle also shared a sweet moment with her grandfather when she reached her arms out for a hug.

Blake Lively Wore One Perfect Ponytail to the Met Gala

Vogue darling Blake Lively attended the 2017 Met Gala with her hot husband, Ryan Reynolds, and a ponytail that made us say, "ooh!"

The long, voluminous ponytail showed off Blake's beachy texture with a little added texture: crimping.

We got the exclusive details from celebrity stylist Rod Ortega using T3 tools.

"My inspiration was the New Romantic, '80s-style pony," Ortega said. "I'm excited about this because I grew up in the '80s, and it's personal to me. I felt really close to the theme." He also explained the updo complemented the dress instead of competing with it.

Ortega described the look as a "double pony with lift and herringbone texture - an edge to a classic pony."

Here's what you need to know to DIY at home: "For the crimped texture in the pony, use a smaller plated flat iron - I like the T3 SinglePass Compact - to bend the hair back and forth," Ortega explained. "Another tip is the use flat elastic bands instead of your typical round ones as they are easy to stack and help create lift in the pony."

Back to Blake's texture. We had to know how he worked with it and showed it off so well!
"I always blow out the hair with the T3 Featherweight Luxe hair dryer to keep Blake's natural texture, as the soft air of the dryer helps the texture come through. Less is best to bring out texture! I only work with light oils and very little hair products. L'Oreal Spray Shine L'Oreal Paris EverStyle Smooth & Shine Serum is great for this, too."

When it came to makeup, she also kept it light, sticking to gorgeous gold shades.

Makeup artist Kristofer Buckle for L'Oréal Paris commented on the look in a press release, "We decided to keep Blake's makeup soft with a touch of gold. We didn't want to go too heavy with the makeup since her Versace gown made such a statement…something heavy would be too theatrical. Instead, we went for bronze-tone makeup – both on the eyes and on the face."

Wait, Shattered Glass Eyeliner Is Now a Thing!

Shattered glass nail art, meet your sister: shattered glass eye makeup. While doing research for this holographic eyeliner trend report, I stumbled upon these mesmerizing iterations that take the tinsel style one notch up. And it's actually pretty flattering since the opalescent paper brightens up the eye area. You can either do it all over the lid (like shadow) or on the edges (similar to an eyeliner wing).

Re-creating it at home is easier than you might think. Simply do your regular bold eye makeup, then cut up pieces of holographic paper. Perhaps it comes from last year's holiday decor and wrapping paper. Make them into little "shards," which you will then adhere to your skin with eyelash glue. Done!
