Met Gala Afterparty or Boxing Ring? Katy Perry's Outfit Was Ready For Either
We don't think we'll ever be able to forget Katy Perry's 2017 Met Gala ensemble. Simply put, the custom Maison Margiela Artisanal outfit was both mesmerizing and bewildering - making her afterparty outfit look a little more understated in comparison. That being said, the "Bon Appétit" singer still wore a sequined leotard, glittery tights, a garter belt, and a sequined cape.
Following the Met Gala on May 1, Katy arrived at her afterparty at the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel alongside friends Margot and Mia Moretti. The whole getup - namely the cape - actually reminded us of her 2013 Video Music Awards performance, wherein she performed "Roar" in a boxing ring. While it may have been a nod to that memorable performance, she might have also wanted to just slip into something a little more comfortable.
