Easy DIY Gift: Decorate a Mug With a Sharpie
Do you have a plain, boring mug that needs a bit of spicing up? Personalize your cups and mugs by drawing on them! You can use them to add personality to your home or even give them as gifts to your loved ones. Here's how to start:
- Buy some white cups or mugs. You can find them in superstores, thrift stores, dollar stores, and online.
- Pick a Sharpie. For long-lasting results, choose oil-based paint Sharpie markers. Regular Sharpie ink can come off even after baking. Pick a color to use on your mug. You can stay simple and choose one color, or be more ambitious and use multiple. If you're sticking to one color, then black is usually a good choice, given its striking contrast to the white background of the mug.
- Start drawing. Decide what you want to put on the cup, and maybe practice drawing it on a piece of paper before drawing on the mug. Pick a meaningful quote or a cute graphic to decorate the mug with, and get inspired by mugs being sold on Etsy or by googling examples of Sharpie mug projects online.
- Dry it out. Let your mug dry for a few hours or overnight before placing it into the oven. You can also draw over it again if you'd like to make sure the pattern doesn't come off in the wash. If you draw over it again, be sure to leave it out to dry again before baking.
- Bake it. Bake the mug in the oven for 30 minutes at 350°F. Remember to place the mug in the oven before it heats up and leave it in until the oven cools completely so there won't be any cracks. You can choose to bake the mugs twice to really set in the Sharpie drawings.
- Care and wash. Hand-wash the mug gently instead of throwing it in the dishwasher, as a machine washer may ruin the design.
Some Sharpie mug DIYers may advise you to spray the mug with acrylic sealing spray to make sure the Sharpie etchings doesn't rub off. I personally didn't want to do that because the spray can be toxic. However, if you decide to go that route, be sure to avoid spraying near the top and on the inside of the mug. You can cover those areas with masking tape to protect them before you spray.
Adidas Unveils the Freshest UltraBoost X Kicks, All Made From Ocean Plastic
Last November, Adidas had everyone obsessing over its collaboration with Parley and the UltraBoost Uncaged shoes, which were not only totally cute but also made from "up-cycled marine plastic waste." Now, Adidas has unveiled a new collection with Parley for the Oceans, including a women's UltraBoost X ($200) that we cannot wait to get our hands on.
It's not the gorgeous blue colorway that drew us to the shoe, or even the comfortable UltraBoost X design - it's the fact that each pair was made from approximately 11 plastic bottles. The Primeknit upper is "built with yarn spun from reclaimed and recycled ocean trash." Adidas and Parley have found an incredible way to put ocean waste to good use . . . not to mention, the shoes are as fresh as can be.
The new women's UltraBoost X Parley kicks will be available on May 10 online and at Adidas stores. The collaboration also includes a men's UltraBoost Parley shoe ($200), a men's UltraBoost Uncaged Parley shoe, and more eco-friendly athletic wear.
Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" Suddenly Sounds Sexier When You Watch This Dance Routine
Ed Sheeran released his single "Shape of You" in January, and while we love the song a lot, "let's dance to this" was not exactly a thought that crossed our minds - until now.
This "That's What I Like" Dance Routine Might Blow Bruno Mars Out of the Water
This Dance Routine to Tinashe's "Party Favors" Is So Sexy, Your Screen Might Fog Up
Choreographer Kyle Hanagami shared a video to YouTube recently showing a group of dancers performing an upbeat, sexy routine to the song, and it might change the way you listen to it from now on - much like these Irish dancers did, too.

8 Theories We Have About the Once Upon a Time Finale Based on the Pictures
Once Upon a Time's two-hour long season six finale (and possible series finale) is days away, and emotions are heightened. Now that the Black Fairy's dark curse has hit Storybrooke, some of our favorite characters are in grave danger, especially the Savior. After Henry wakes up from the curse, he finds that the beloved town has been turned upside down: the Black Fairy is the new mayor and Emma is stuck in a mental hospital. As he tries to help his mom regain her memory and make her believe again, the rest of the gang is trapped in a crumbling Fairy Tale Land, trying to find a way back to their loved ones before the final battle. Even though Jennifer Morrison confirmed she's leaving the show at the end of this season, these stills don't seem to give too much away about the fate of her character. Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz recently dished about what's to come to Entertainment Weekly, but we can't help but theorize even further. Here's a quick rundown on what we can glean so far:
- The Black Fairy has the storybook
- Archie is working for her
- The curse didn't send everyone to Fairy Tale Land
- Emma might not remember who Henry is
- Gideon fights Emma, not the Black Fairy
- Henry, Snow White, and Zelena are all present for the final battle
- Emma is wearing her "armor" (her red leather jacket)
- Gideon is dressed a lot like his father Rumple, who is nowhere to be seen.
This Protest Sticker Speaks For Itself: "Take Trump, Bring Back Selena"
In Austin, TX, one online boutique is intent on "celebrating diversity" and "embracing nuestra cultura" with an array of badass, politically charged gear. Somar ATX began selling feminist t-shirts in 2014, with one of its earlier t-shirts combining the female gender symbol and pan dulce.
Recently, the brand released a line of merchandise with one bold statement that reads: "Take Trump, bring back Selena." The incredible protest slogan is currently available on stickers, priced at $5 each, or a t-shirt ($27), available in both black and white. What's more, it can barely keep the stickers in stock! They are currently available online, however, a recent Instagram post indicated that it only had about 30 left before the next restock.
Scroll ahead to check out the powerful stickers that are simultaneously an ode to the late Selena Quintanilla and a jab at the current president.
If You Prefer Emily Ratajkowski's Bikinis, You Obviously Haven't Seen Her Baywatch Suit
Don't get us wrong, Emily Ratajkowski looks good in a two-piece. In fact, the supermodel's come up with so many ideas for mixing and matching her bikinis, we can barely keep up. But while vacationing with her friends Bella Hadid, Elsa Hosk, Hannah Ferguson, Lais Ribeiro, Hailey Baldwin, and Rose Bertram in the Bahamas, Emily pulled a style switch-up.
Her red Solid & Striped design was fitted and sleek, with not a cutout in sight, and the plunging neckline was a touch sexy - very simple, very effortless, very Baywatch. Emily completed her look with a dainty chain necklace, allowing us full focus on her one-piece. While clearly, most of her pals prefer classic tops and bottoms, Emily is making a case for coverage at the beach. Read on for a look, then shop similar silhouettes for yourself.

Bella Hadid's Hip Cleavage Is the New Thighbrow
Oh, the fashion trends the world's sexiest models and stars dream up. From the Kardashian family's "lampshading" to the "thighbrow" they create by striking a pose in their swimsuits, there is no end to the little tweaks they make to their clothes, all to turn heads. Bella Hadid's got a new trick she's been employing, slipping into high-leg bodysuits and tugging her track pants down below her hip bone to create a makeshift cutout.
The sliver of skin is what we're calling "hip cleavage," and it seems Kylie Jenner is on board, too. She was spotted rocking the look with a bikini underwear set and sweats months ago. Of course, it's not difficult to create a leisure outfit like this one if you're into the style. Just scroll to get inspired, then shop baggy trousers and tight-fitting bodysuits to coordinate on your own.

The Full, Funky Soundtrack For Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
One of the biggest reasons we all fell for Guardians of the Galaxy back in 2014 is its retro soundtrack that possibly made you feel like you were at a rowdy wedding reception in 1982. We're happy to report that the soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is just as fun. The 14-track collection includes hits from Fleetwood Mac, Electric Light Orchestra, Cheap Trick, and Cat Stevens. Listen to all the songs here, and scroll to the end for a Spotify playlist!
Viola Davis's House Is So Not What You're Expecting
Oscar winner Viola Davis has a big and illustrious career, so we assumed her home would be grand as well. But we were pleasantly surprised to see that Viola has been living in a surprisingly normal (by Hollywood standards) abode for the past decade. Her five-bedroom, five-bath property sits in a picturesque neighborhood with close-packed houses in Granada Hills, CA, far from the hubbub of Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
It seems, however, that the actress is ready for bigger things, as the stucco home was just listed with broker John Mazziotta of Re/Max Olson & Associates for $1.19 million, which is just a touch over the $1.17 million Viola is said to have paid for it in 2005. The property boasts nearly 4,000 square feet of living space, including a top-of-the-line kitchen, a living room with large windows, soaring ceilings, a sprawling master suite, and a gracious dining room. With its lagoon pool and spa, built-in barbecue, and dining terrace, the backyard is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of shooting How to Get Away With Murder. Check out the charming property ahead.

Models Are Giving Up Pants Just to Wear These Boots
They might all come from different designers, but the latest It boots have something in common: they go up to there - and then some. In fact, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, Miranda Kerr, and Kylie Jenner have all ditched pants to slip into their thigh-highs. Miranda caused a stir at the airport, when she rocked her Spring 2017 Balenciaga pair following the enforcement of United's infamous "no-leggings" rule. Miranda's high-fashion outfit appeared satisfactory to us - her leggings came equipped with pin heels after all.
Even before that, Kendall swiped these snakeskin Balmain boots off the Fall 2017 runway and styled them in Paris with a corseted tunic. Her sister Kylie followed suit, Snapchatting her own spandex shoes that match Miranda's, only in a bright purple colorway. Scroll to check out the different variations making it big, then shop the trend if you're ready to give off the illusion of leggings or simply give up trousers for a pair of boots that are really, really tall.
This Mom's "Poem" About Public Breastfeeding Is Even Better Than Her Photo
If you've tried talking and writing and protesting and still can't seem to get people to accept you breastfeeding in public, perhaps you need to try a Dr. Seussian limerick?
That's what one mom, Whitney, did in the latest amazing way women are normalizing breastfeeding. Behold, her poem on the popular Facebook group Breastfeeding Mama Talk:
Anytime. Anywhere. You can stare, I don't care. I'll feed my hungry child, here or there, if you don't like my boob I still don't care. A Restaurant? A store? It's boob juice galore! A theater? A museum? But you're more focused on trying to see them! Bottle or boob. It's all just food. You still think I should cover? You should run and tell your mother. Pull out your phone and take a picture? But I'm the one who's the problem? Don't you wish we could all mind our business? That would sure solve them! Think I am disgusting? I could say the same? Think I am playing an attention-seeking game? You are wrong because you see, really I am only worried about the comfort of my baby and me!
7 DIY Wedding Makeup Hacks to Ensure You Look Flawless on Your Big Day
So, you're engaged to the love of your life. Congratulations! Many will say that you've already done the hardest part (finding your spouse), but anyone who's attempted to plan a wedding knows that's not quite true. After all, falling down the Pinterest rabbit hole can be utterly exhausting. In particular, we find the makeup ideas to be overwhelming, often completely unrealistic to DIY, and far more dramatic than most brides would attempt for the most photographed day in their lives.
Makeup artist Tedrick LaMar of Butterfly Studio Salon, who works frequently with brides, agreed that wedding-day makeup can be tricky for many.
"Bridal [beauty] should always be the best version of yourself," he said. "Don't go oversculpting, leave that for the night out at the club. Your makeup should be classic and clean."
He noted that the mood of the wedding and your gown's design could (and should!) inspire your beauty style for the big day. For example, you might want a more ethereal look with an A-line gown, but someone wearing a fitted style might be after more chiseled features and high-drama eye makeup. But overall, "you should look polished and not exaggerated."
Hey, if your goal is to look like the best version of yourself, you can always try DIYing your wedding makeup. It may not be the route for everyone, but some brides will not only find the makeup application process soothing on this potentially stressful day, but also enjoy having 100-percent control.
Whether you're hiring a professional makeup artist or doing your own glam, makeup trials are key. LaMar advises that brides-to-be do a few test runs around three months before the main event so they can decide on the final look. Don't be afraid to experiment so you can get a sense of what you love, whether that's a red lip or lots of lashes.
Now that you're feeling empowered to be your own wedding makeup artist, read on! We worked with LaMar to come up with seven genius bridal beauty hacks. While a few of these tips are time-honored tricks (like making your eyes look bigger with a pale liner), others are total insider secrets (ever heard of "strategic mattifying?" We hadn't!). Ahead, you'll find some supercrafty hacks that will guarantee you look positively flawless as you float down the aisle.

Cree health officials urge hunters to switch to steel bullets, abandon lead
As many Quebec Cree are out celebrating one of the most important holidays of the year — the annual spring goose hunt — public health officials are spreading an important message: change your bullets from lead to steel.

10 Ways to Deal With Trump-Induced Stress
Remember people celebrating the end of 2016 like good times were ahead? I didn't get it. Sure, the presidential campaign was stressful and the shock election of Donald Trump was hard (impossible?) to prepare for. But while Trump may have dominated 2016, the new year so far proves he's just getting started.
If you proudly posted an "I'm With Her" selfie on Nov. 8, 2016, I bet you're gearing up for four to eight years of hourly outrage. For many Americans, real stress comes with every offensive word out of Trump's mouth - or the regressive policy proposals that may impact you or your loved ones. To help toughen you up, I spoke to Dr. Pete Sulack. He founded StressRX.com and a 12-step program for reducing stress levels, called UnhealthyAnonymous.
"We can transcend the petty tragedies of politics by our gracious and noble responses."
Sulack says it's normal for stress to peak around a time of political change: "It has been said that nobody likes change except a wet baby - and even they cry about it! Why? Because change represents the unknown, and humans have a primal fear of the unknown." Sulack says that anytime we experience a major change, the body reacts by ramping up of the stress response. "Unfortunately," he explains, "if the stress response keeps getting initiated by some outside source, you will stay in a state of chronic stress." Judging by the outrageous campaign and presidential transition, there's a good chance Trump could be that outside source that continues to initiate a stress response.
"We only ever have control over one thing: our reactions to life's events," Sulack reminds us, using this analogy: "Like an airplane that can't control the force or direction of the wind, but can course correct by the tilt of its wings, we humans can transcend the petty tragedies of politics by our gracious and noble responses." Reassuring analogies aside, Sulack also has some concrete tips for lowering President Trump-induced stress.
1. Pay Attention to Words
The tone of a news story may increase your stress more than the content. "Predictions of gloom and doom filter down to the common citizen as pictures that stimulate the stress response." Sulack gives this example: "Just today, the Wall Street Journal reported that Donald Trump will bring 'controlled chaos' into the White House. That choice of words is enough to stress anyone out." If you're more mindful of a story's overall voice, you may have a more reasonable reaction to the actual news.
2. Help the People You're Concerned About
There could be very real - and very stressful - consequences to some of Trump's proposed policies. Women fear they'll lose access to reproductive services, Americans with pre-existing conditions worry about affordable health care, and immigrant families are scared of deportation.
"Movement - either physical, emotional, or psychological - counteracts the stress response."
According to Sulack, however, "most of what we worry about never happens, so it doesn't make sense to worry about any particular thing until you absolutely have to." In addition, he says turning your worry into action will help. For example, if you're concerned about the treatment of Muslim immigrants, sign up to help welcome new refugees to your community. If you're concerned about reproductive rights, volunteer for Planned Parenthood. And if you're worried about health care, pick up the phone and call your senator.
"This is an empowering stance, one that is directly opposite of feeling anxious and stressed. It will get you moving. Movement - either physical, emotional, or psychological - counteracts the stress response."
3. Find a Role Model
Sulack says imitating leaders who lead by example, not "by shouting and finger-pointing," will help you chill out. "Each person has the choice in each and every occasion to act like the boorish, stubborn, opinionated, narrow-minded politicians that they despise, or they can choose to behave in a fashion that shows their highest and holiest selves."
Looking for a calm, cool and collected leader to emulate? Here's one: Barack Obama. The 44th president had his legacy on the line, yet reacted with grace to Trump's election. That doesn't mean he won't help progressive Americans stand up for their beliefs. But I bet he'll do it in a way that won't stress the hell out of himself. Be more like Barack.
4. Try to Understand
A likely source of stress: friends and family who support Trump. Sulack reminds us that every opinion is a story in disguise. "A person's political beliefs are not created in a vacuum. They don't hold them because they are arrogant, or stupid, or racist, or misogynistic, communistic, or any other label we may want to give them. They formed those beliefs in the wake of their experiences."
Sulack says that while your friend or family member may be entirely wrong on a certain political issue, "when you put aside that opinion formed by your own experiences and listen to the experiences of others, you will find that you are less stressed, and that those around you are less stressed as well."
5. Practice Listening
"All humans need to be heard," Sulack points out, "and by offering the gift of active listening, you can relieve a lot of the tension of the inauguration and beyond."
Never offer an opinion until you have asked at least three questions.
Sulack explains that productive listening is not about listening to the other person simply to get fuel for your next opinion or comment. "Active listening fully concentrates on what is being said with the intent of understanding where the speaker is coming from." That includes asking open questions like, "Why do you think that happened?" or "How did you come to that conclusion?" "What was it like when you were growing up?" Sulack's rule of thumb is to never offer an opinion until you have asked at least three questions. "By that time, your opinion may seem pointless to the conversation."
Over the next four years, developing a strategy for engaging with people you disagree with will leave you in a much better place.
6. Make Peace with President Trump
"We need to make peace with the fact that we can't control the outcome of elections."
"We need to make peace with the fact that we can't control the outcome of elections, and we can't control the opinions of others." What we can control is our response to those, which includes taking action and leading by example.
"We need to learn to let go of being right," Sulack also warns. "Because political opinions are formed from experiences, they are just that - opinions." There are no wrong or right opinions, according to Sulack. "Making peace also means accepting that family member who is virulent about his or her own political opinion and his or her own certainty of being right."
7. Take Care of Yourself
"Worry or anxiety is mental stress, so it can be mitigated by nourishing your body," says Sulack. He suggest: healthy foods, deep breathing, sleeping a full eight hours, exercising, avoiding negative people who trigger your fears, giving thanks for all that you have, giving to others in generosity and service. Perhaps a renewed dedication to self-care and giving back can be an upside of the Trump administration.
8. Turn Off the News
"You can always turn off the television," Sulack says. And if you do take in upsetting news, follow the suggestions for taking care of yourself.
9. Consider What You're Grateful For
"With the inauguration of even an unpopular president, we are witnessing the peaceful transfer of power in the longest standing Democratic Republic in history," Sulack reminds us. "That is something to be happy and thankful for. We can affect change, but not if we are stressed out."
10. Give Others Your All
And finally, Sulack turns to a quote from the late Methodist leader John Wesley, a quote that happens to be the life motto of Hillary Clinton: "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can." If that helps Clinton get through hard times, it's good enough for me.

This Guy Asked Wendy's For a Year of Free Chicken Nuggets - and It Worked
The news of one guy from Reno, NV asking Wendy's for free chicken nuggets was not an April Fools' prank. It was actually very real, and turns out - it worked. In early April, Carter Wilkerson tweeted the popular fast food chain asking, "Yo @Wendys how many retweets for a year of free chicken nuggets?" Never one to pass up an opportunity to clap back on Twitter, Wendy's responded with an offer Wilkerson just couldn't refuse.
@carterjwm 18 Million
- Wendy's (@Wendys) April 6, 2017
That's right. 18 million retweets. Wilkerson immediately shared a screenshot of the company's response with his followers and everyone else on Twitter asking for help to reach the megamillion goal.

Weeks later, Carter has received 3.4 million retweets and counting, and while that's not even halfway to the goal of 18 million, it was enough to convince Wendy's to go through with its promise. Carter's viral tweet beat out Ellen DeGeneres's epic 2014 Oscar selfie to become the most retweeted tweet of all time, which Wendy's deemed impressive enough to give Carter what he asked for.
Wendy's priceless response was simply, "He gets them nuggs."

Ed Sheeran's Acoustic "Ciao Adios" Cover With Anne-Marie Is Almost TOO Good
Ed Sheeran is currently on the South American leg of his tour, and he seems like he's having a great time with tourmate Anne-Marie. You probably know the up-and-coming singer from her hit "Ciao Adios," in which she hits some impossibly high notes. He slows things down with her for this acoustic version, and you can tell that they're having a ball. We didn't deem him the King of Covers for nothing, people. Also, her voice is just unreal. Take a look!

@carterjwm 18 Million
- Wendy's (@Wendys) April 6, 2017
That's right. 18 million retweets. Wilkerson immediately shared a screenshot of the company's response with his followers and everyone else on Twitter asking for help to reach the megamillion goal.

So Apparently Jimmy Carter Actually Voted For Bernie, Not Hillary
When Jimmy Carter sat down with Sen. Bernie Sanders on May 8, the former president made an interesting revelation: in the 2016 Democratic primaries, he actually voted for Sanders over Hillary Clinton.
The two men met at the Carter Center in Georgia that evening to discuss politics and human rights. In true Sanders fashion, the former presidential nominee discussed America's need for higher voter participation. "We have got to get people involved," Sanders said. "And you do that by being honest about the real problems they face and come up with real solutions." That's when Carter turned to the crowd to say, "Can y'all see why I voted for him?"
The 39th president's comment comes as a bit of a surprise, considering he admitted in July 2015 that he predicted Hillary Clinton would seal the party nomination, according to The Washington Post. Plus, in July 2016, after Sanders conceded the nomination to Clinton, Carter officially endorsed the former secretary of state.
Watch the full exchange between Carter and Sanders in the video below, and skip ahead to the 22-minute mark to hear Carter discuss his vote.
Experts Reveal Why Parents Should Never Turn to Google Before Visiting the Doctor
From health questions during your pregnancy to new parenting advice after baby arrives, google is a godsend to many moms and dads. This search engine also comes in handy whenever someone gets injured or sick and despite the sometimes questionable results (all symptoms tend to point to cancer!), many parents can't help but check in, and often multiple times, with Dr. Google when their little one gets sick before visiting their own pediatrician.
However, experts are now warning parents about the problem with googling their child's symptoms - aside from becoming overly alarmed thanks to incorrect the online diagnoses. According to anew study from the American Academy of Pediatrics, parents searching the internet after the child becomes sick not only reduces their trust in trained medical professionals but it also cause a delay in treatment if parents don't trust their doctor's diagnosis because of what they read online.
"The internet is a powerful information tool, but it is limited by its inability to reason and think," the study's lead author, Ruth Milanaik, said. "Simply entering a collection of symptoms in a search engine may not reflect the actual medical situation at hand. These computer-generated diagnoses may mislead patients or parents and cause them to question their doctors' medical abilities and seek a second opinion, thereby delaying treatment."
In the study, 1,374 parents were given the scenario where their child was sick for the past three days with a rash and a fever that was getting worse. They were then divided into three groups: the first group was given screen shots from online diagnosis of Scarlet fever and Strep throat; the second group was given screen shots diagnosing Kawasaki disease; and the third group didn't receive any screen shots. When everyone was told that the doctor diagnosed their child with Scarlet fever, 81 percent of parents in the control group trusted the doctor's diagnosis, 61.3 percent who read about Kawasaki diseases trusted the diagnosis, and only 64.2 percent who read about scarlet fever wanted a second opinion before believing the conclusion.
"Parents who still have doubts should absolutely seek a second opinion," Ruth said. "But they shouldn't be afraid to discuss the result of internet information with the physician."

Who Is Noah Cyrus? Get to Know Miley's Little Sister
Image Source: Getty / Gregg DeGuire
Noah Cyrus has already started to take over the music scene in a big way, but this certainly isn't her first encounter with the spotlight. As the daughter of Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus and younger sister of Miley and Trace Cyrus (of Metro Station), the 17-year-old has spent much of her childhood in the public eye, but she never thought she would follow in her family's footsteps. "For years I had been riding horses and staying away," Noah told Billboard. "Then two years ago, I started writing [songs] in sessions, and I fell in love with it." Since releasing her debut track, "Make Me (Cry)," last year, she has quickly stolen our hearts with her soulful voice, and we have a feeling it's only just beginning.
1. She's the Youngest Cyrus
Noah is the youngest of six - she has two sisters, Miley and Brandi, and three brothers, Trace, Braison, and Christopher (Billy Ray's son from his previous relationship with Kristin Luckey).
2. She Was on Hannah Montana
Before starting her music career, Noah made a few cameos on Miley's hit Disney Channel show. She played small roles in six episodes of the series and even worked as a background dancer for the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie.

3. She Is an Animal Rights Activist
For her 13th birthday, Noah raised funds for the ban of using horse-drawn carriages in NYC. She later posed in a PETA ad that protested the use of animal dissection in high school lab classes.
4. She Was in a Movie With a Jonas Brother
Miley isn't the only Cyrus with ties to the Jonas Brothers. In 2008, Noah scored her first movie role in the English version of the anime feature film Ponyo alongside the youngest Jonas brother, Frankie.
5. Her Debut Album Is Coming Out This Year
Her first album, NC-17 (which is a play on her initials and age), will come out later this year. So far, she's already released two tracks, including "Make Me (Cry)" and her latest jam, "Stay Together."
Kate Mulgrew Promises You'll Be "Gobsmacked" by OITNB Season 5
Galina "Red" Reznikov is not one to sit down or shut up. According to actress Kate Mulgrew, the mother hen of Litchfield is facing her biggest challenge yet in season five of Orange Is the New Black. Ahead of the June 9 premiere, Mulgrew hopped on the phone with us and dropped some major hints about what to expect from the new batch of episodes. Season four ends on a huge cliffhanger, and Mulgrew made it seem like that fever pitch of intensity will keep up all through the three-day arc of season five. "It's a pretty big season for me," she said. "At least, that's how I felt when I staggered home at the end of it." Here's what we learned from Litchfield's fiercest chef.
- For the first time, Red is out of her element. The final line of season four comes courtesy of Red, who sees the the gun in Daya's hand and mutters, "Sh*t, here it is." Mulgrew clarified what Red meant, saying, "Women who have been incarcerated for long periods of time have very little to lose or so they feel in a moment like this. So when I say, 'Sh*t, here it is,' [it means] in all of my years at Litchfield I have not seen this kind of rupture and I know that this kind of rupture can lead to nothing but something seismic and that's exactly that happens in season five."
- We're about to see everyone go their own way. "Everyone approaches a moment like this very differently; it's entirely subjective. What does it mean when a prison riots? Well, it means something different to each person. You're going to see Red probably take this personally. You're going to see somebody else take it politically.
- Red's season five storyline really begins in season four. "Red has something happen to her, the kernel of which is planted in season four. It's actually fairly developed toward the end of season four, with a particular CO." May she be referring to the power-mad Piscatella? "In this relationship, there lies a scarlet thread that she has not felt since she was devastated by her family, the Russian people. She meets this person and it's as if everything she has fought for, everything in her character, everything in her being that she has willed to overcome, this horrific sentence, is overturned and she is filled with a great need and almost a force, a power, a drive to negate that. So for Red, it's a battlefield."
- Red won't be in Mother Hen mode. "I would say it's not as familial as it has been in the past. It is far more isolated . . . Nicky is always there for Red. I love her, my love for her is constant and true. I'm always looking out for her and she is for me but something threatens even that. So I am looking at the greater evil and it is my mandate to myself to overcome this greater evil that I believe this person represents."
- Whatever happens to Red, it's BIG. "Audiences are going to be gobsmacked, mouths agape at what happens to all of us in this season, but in particular probably what happens to Red. It's no holds barred. There's very little I did not experience, endure, and overcome . . . Red is an extraordinary creature, but she is a woman of many flaws, which are evident in a way that we have never seen before. Her humanity is threatened in a way we have never seen before. Something bigger than she could even have thought of - and she thinks at a pretty high level - has come to darken her life."
- We'll see "a little bit" of Red's backstory. "The train is moving on a immediate track and I am in the front car," she said, confirming that most of the season is focused on the present. "There's just no question about it, it's moving and another train is moving toward it. That's what the audience is going to see for 13 episodes. A trainwreck is coming, but who will survive?"
- Someone won't make it to season six. While Mulgrew implied that Red would survive the season, she did say that heads would roll. "Not everybody does survive, I will say that."

The 1 Cover of Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" You Might Like Better Than the Original
We want to hear Boyce Avenue sing their slowed-down version of "Despacito" over and over again. But we think this one to Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's hit is their best. Even Luis thinks so, tweeting "sounds great" and sharing the link with his eight million followers.
If the brothers look familiar, that's because Sarah Hyland collaborated with them to create her popular cover of The Chainsmokers' "Closer." We only see more amazing covers in their future. Check out "Despacito" above.

OITNB's Jamie Denbo Calls Out Hollywood's Ageist Casting: "I'm Done With You Lizards"
Orange Is the New Black star Jamie Denbo is not here for Hollywood's sexist and ageist casting. The actress, who plays Ginsberg on the Netflix series, went on an epic rant on Wednesday to express her frustration with a recent casting call where she was told that she was "too old" to play the wife of a 57-year-old actor. In a series of heated tweets, she explained to her followers that the male star, who is considered an "American treasure," wanted his onscreen wife to be at most 38 years old, even though his real-life wife is at least 50.
I was just informed that at the age of 43, I am TOO OLD to play the wife of a 57 year old.
- Jamie Denbo (@jamiedenbo) May 4, 2017
Oh, the characters also have an 18 year-old daughter. I am TOO OLD to be the mother of an 18 year-old.
- Jamie Denbo (@jamiedenbo) May 4, 2017
The real wife of the 57 year-old actor is EASILY AT LEAST 50. But this fucker wants to be tv married to a 38 year-old -TOPS.
- Jamie Denbo (@jamiedenbo) May 4, 2017
This is a FIRST marriage, btw. Not a re-wife. Which would make a little more sense.
- Jamie Denbo (@jamiedenbo) May 4, 2017
While we applaud Jamie for fighting back, we can't help but wonder which Hollywood star she was referring to. But when a brave fan asked for names, she simply added that she didn't want to ruin it for everyone since he is an "American treasure." Yikes.
@Celiaceruolo Would love to. But I don't want to ruin this guy for you. He is an "American treasure".

Plus, in July 2016, after Sanders conceded the nomination to Clinton, Carter officially endorsed the former secretary of state.

Interns at These 25 Companies Earn More Than the Average American Worker
If you're lucky enough to score a crazy-high-paying internship at Facebook, you no longer get to complain about broke college student woes. In perhaps typical Silicon Valley fashion, the tech behemoth offers its interns a handsome median pay rate of $8,000 per month. It's enough to make any working stiff long to attempt the plot of The Internship - taking an internship as a grown-up at a tech company because the opportunity (and apparently the pay!) is so tremendous.
While Facebook tops the Glassdoor list of highest-paying internships in America, it's far from the only company to offer swanky pay and helpful perks. Both Apple and Yelp, for example, offer a median monthly pay of $6,400, while interns at other companies like Deutsche Bank and Adobe have mentioned the hands-on experience and access to senior employees as major highlights.
As Glassdoor points out, "The median annual salary for a full-time US worker is currently $51,350. However, if interns at these companies worked a full 12 months, their salaries would range from about $96,000 at Facebook (No. 1) to about $55,000 at Bank of America (No. 25), much higher than what the average full-time American worker earns." Keep scrolling to see the list of America's highest-paying internships and feel that slow, familiar burn of envy.

The Grungy "Brow Carving" Trend Takes Instagram Brows to the Next Level
Mario Dedivanovic, celebrity makeup artist and founding member of Kim Kardashian's glam team, definitively decided that the "Instagram brow" is out. You know the one we mean: severe, boxy arches with ombré tails and a generous application of lighter concealer to highlight around the brow. However, a new take on that old, less-than-flattering style has Instagram makeup artists inspired and us intrigued.
Writers at Allure discovered brow carving, an eye-catching new arch trend that was created by Austin, TX-based makeup artist Alexa Link. Where the edge of that harsh highlight would be on an Instagram brow, Link has created an unorthodox sculpting effect using meticulously blended shadows and liners. The overall look is haute Halloween meets editorial glam.
Of course, a makeup trend this captivating has earned Link some copycats, with many artists transforming Link's concept into their own iterations. We can't wait to see how brow carving evolves! Keep reading to see the unusual and edgy looks.

Prepare to LOL at Ellen and Nicole Kidman Who Are Hopelessly Bad Cooks
Giada De Laurentiis appeared on Ellen to teach her and Nicole Kidman how to cook vegan artichoke arancini and focaccia with clementine and fennel, but it goes horribly wrong. Despite the Italian chef's best efforts, Ellen and Nicole Kidman could not contain their laughter and inability to follow Giada's cooking instructions. The set producer even has to tell the trio to wrap it up!
You will giggle throughout the clip, especially when it comes to the grand taste test. Ellen and Nicole Kidman do not hide their thoughts about the cold food that has probably been left out for "like five hours." On a more positive note for Giada fans, the Food Network star told Ellen that she is planning to open up a new restaurant at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and possibly something on the East Coast.
