Badass Senator Smashes the Patriarchy by Breastfeeding in the Parliament Chamber
When Australian Senator Larissa Waters returned to work from maternity leave, she couldn't resist bringing her newborn daughter along for the ride - and the cute duo made history in the process.
On May 9, Waters - who is codeputy leader of the Green Party in Australia - became the first woman to breastfeed a baby in Parliament when she nourished her 2-month-old baby, Alia Joy, right there in the chamber. Back in February 2016, Parliament officially started allowing this as part of some "family friendly" rule updates, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, but it looks like Waters was the first trailblazer to take advantage of the updated protocols.

Waters shared a sweet photo of the significant moment on Twitter, captioning the snapshot, "So proud that my daughter Alia is the first baby to be breastfed in the federal Parliament! We need more #women & parents in Parli."
Just two months ago, on International Women's Day, Waters alluded to making this groundbreaking move in a Facebook status welcoming baby Alia into the world. "I'll be having a few more weeks off but will soon be back in parliament with this little one in tow . . . And yes, if she's hungry, she will be breastfed in the Senate chamber," she wrote. In it, there's a mom praying in a church pew, a mom screaming and bashing her fists against the steering wheel in a vacant parking lot, and a mom breaking down in tears as a nurse explains how she'll have to care for her sick infant. Those watching can almost feel the anguish. Almost.
Then, each of these moms literally wipes away the tears, picks herself up, and gets to work. It's remarkable.
The organization's message? "For every kid in hospital who's missing childhood, there's a mom staying strong."
Unlike most ads you watch, take action after you see this one. As SickKids implores, stand with these moms to "help their kids get back to just being kids." And may you never have to know this kind of strength.

After one season, Timeless has been canceled. While the show may not have had impressive ratings, it did boast a passionate group of fans, many of whom campaigned on social media for a season two renewal. The cast (Abigail Breslin, Matt Lanter, and Malcolm Barrett) also attempted to rally support via Twitter, but no dice. Over the past few weeks, NBC also canceled Powerless but renewed This Is Us, The Good Place, Superstore, and Blindspot.

Birdie weighed in at 8 pounds, 10 ounces and measures 21 inches long.

Maybe It's Time to Stop Asking Goldie Hawn Why She Hasn't Married Kurt Russell

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell first met while starring in 1968's The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, but it wasn't until 1983 that they began dating while working on their second joint film, Swing Shift. The couple recently rang in their 34th anniversary, an incredible feat for any couple but especially one made up of Hollywood A-listers. But what is particularly unique about Kurt and Goldie's relationship is the fact that they aren't married. Over their three decades together, they haven't felt the need to "make it official," and it's something that still seems to both fascinate and perplex the public.
"A lasting relationship isn't about marriage. It's about compatibility and communication."
It feels like in nearly every interview Goldie does with a major publication, she is asked about her choice not to marry Kurt. Despite the fact that she has made her reasons painfully clear over the years, Goldie is still bombarded with questions about how she could so bravely stay in a relationship with a man and have the audacity not to enter into a legally recognized union that has a large chance of ending in divorce. Like, how dare she?! Goldie has answered these questions with aplomb because she's Goldie f*cking Hawn, but it might officially be time to maybe trust that she knows what she's doing in her own relationship and accept that maybe their arrangement isn't that hard to wrap a head around. Goldie certainly isn't the first celebrity to eschew marriage in favor of a more modern, independent romantic lifestyle, and we should stop acting like it's some wacky concept.

What's worth noting is that being a woman with 50 years in the entertainment business, a woman who scored a spot in the The Nutcracker at 10 years old, opened her own ballet academy, and founded a charity dedicated to improving the academic lives of young kids, should warrant some more interesting, thought-provoking questions than why she hasn't felt the need to marry a man who she has been in a committed relationship with since many of us were in diapers, a man with whom she has built a beautiful family and a complete life full of love, understanding, respect, "fun, laughs, and sex."
"The question is, 'Why (get married)?' it's not, 'Why not?' We love each other. We fight the way people are supposed to fight. We love our lives together."
The societal pressure to get married is everywhere and usually focused on women. Getting hitched is touted as the ultimate goal for us ladies, which could explain why we rarely hear about Kurt Russell being asked these types of questions - for some reason it falls on Goldie to constantly explain their joint decision to enjoy life without a marriage license. But instead of putting the emphasis on Why haven't you guys gotten married? we should shift the conversation to include more questions about their commitment to keeping things fresh after 34 years, helping their children become Hollywood stars in their own right, and staying fly as hell on the red carpet. After all, not being married might actually be the biggest "secret" to Goldie and Kurt's relationship success - so can't we just celebrate it?
This Wonder Woman Makeup Line Will Turn You Into an Amazonian Princess
I'm currently sitting in a pool of my own tears because I am unable to easily acquire yet another amazing K-beauty collaboration, this time with my favorite superhero: Wonder Woman.
When the MAC Cosmetics Wonder Woman collection came out back in 2011, I was a broke college student, unable to justify spending money on a luxury beauty brand. That's what makes the news of the Missha x Wonder Woman line so heartbreaking . . . it seems my dreams of uniting my passions of makeup and comic book heroes will be impossible to achieve.
That's because this collection wasn't released in the United States. Had I been privy to the knowledge of the Missha line earlier, I might have been able to snag it on eBay or Amazon for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, I missed out, again. The assortment included a plethora of patriotic products including cushion compacts, a huge selection of nail polish, mascaras, two eye shadow palettes, and more. It was a line I would have immediately added to my massive beauty stash, had I only known before it was too late. Luckily, I have the following photos to remember them by.

Sean Spicer Hid in the Bushes to Avoid the Press and the Internet Roasted Him in Seconds For It
Sean Spicer might be the most mocked White House press secretary in modern history. The internet loves to tease him about anything, whether it's about his chewing gum habits or him spewing alternative facts. Spicer's latest meme-worthy moment involves him literally hiding in the bushes to avoid talking to reporters.
Moments after Spicer wrapped up an interview with Fox Business about the firing of FBI Director James Comey, he hid behind some hedges, reports The Washington Post. Spicer reportedly stayed there with his staff for a few minutes, until an executive assistant in the press office, Janet Montesi, came out of the bush and told reporters Spicer would answer questions as long as cameras were off. So, in complete darkness, Spicer took questions for 10 minutes and then retreated back to the White House.
And though we wish this was a scene from an upcoming Saturday Night Live skit (though it probably will be this weekend), it's not. So of course, the internet created memes about the laughable situation.

Following the breaking news that President Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, Kellyanne Conway appeared on Anderson Cooper 360 to attempt some much-needed damage control. And she was met with quite the legendary eye roll from the show host - a pretty well-deserved one, if we do say so ourselves.
On May 9, the White House fired Comey for disclosing the bureau's investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails. This is despite the fact that Trump repeatedly praised the now-former director for said investigation throughout his presidential campaign. To prove just how contradictory his firing was, Cooper presented Conway with a series of clips demonstrating Trump's admiration for Comey.
Naturally, the counselor defended the POTUS' decision, but not before giving herself a hearty pat on the back, mentioning how she had previously appeared on Cooper's show and predicted they would win the state of Michigan. Rob & Big's Christopher "Big Black" Boykin Was Hospitalized For Heart Issues Before His Death
This post has been updated with new information.
Christopher "Big Black" Boykin passed away at age 45 on Tuesday, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed. While Christopher's cause of death has yet to be officially revealed, TMZ reported on Wednesday that the star of MTV's Rob & Big was dealing with heart issues prior to his death. According to Christopher's ex-wife, Shannon Turley, Christopher was hospitalized in Plano, TX for several days while doctors monitored his heart, and already had a defibrillator implanted in his chest. Doctors tried to resuscitate him for 30 minutes when his heart gave out on Tuesday, and he died at 4 PM. Chris was not on the transplant list yet, but doctors said he was headed in that direction. Christopher is survived by his 9-year-old daughter Isis, whom he shares with Shannon.

Big Black is best known for his role in the MTV series and as Rob Dyrdek's bodyguard and close friend. His former costar, Chanel West Coast, confirmed the news Twitter moments after, writing, "RIP @BigBlack. My heart is crushed. I'll remember all the times you made me laugh and my prayers go out to your family." Rob also paid tribute to him in a beautiful way on social media shortly after, posting a series of photos of the pair along with a touching note. Our thoughts are with Christopher and his family.

It's official. New York has all the best food and drink spots. If the Do cookie dough shop didn't convince you sweets-lovers out there, let me introduce you to Tipsy Scoop. The boozy ice cream brand has been operating solely through the internet until this year. But now, its first-ever storefront is open in downtown New York.
Each flavor Tipsy Scoop offers - obviously - includes alcohol, which means you can't order it without proper ID. Fear not, though, youngins! The shop also offers virgin varieties so the whole family can enjoy their ice cream together. You can get your scoops in a standard bowl or in a cone bowl. Ice cream sandwiches and cakes are also an option, but the real star right now is the seasonal flavor of the month. Tipsy Scoop plans to partner with a new liquor provider every month to create a timely and delicious offering. This month, the shop teamed up with Patron to offer a margarita and sangria treat in a churro bowl. Yes, that is two of our favorite drinks housed inside a bowl made out of quite possibly the most delicious snack.
What's great about Tipsy Scoop is that the alcohol isn't overwhelming, because there's only about five percent ABV of it. A tease of it, if you will. You'll get a hint of the taste here and there, but you aren't hit in the face with the powerful taste of it anywhere. Instead, the alcohol perfectly pairs with the ice cream flavor it's with to provide the ultimate cocktail-inspired treat. A couple of my favorites that I tried included the Raspberry Limoncello, which was so refreshing and light, and the Spiked Mint Chocolate Chip, which was oh so creamy.
