Dad of the Year Creates a "Roller Coaster" For His Toddler Daughter, Melts Hearts Everywhere

With the pressure to entertain the kids all Summer long, sometimes parents just need to get creative, especially if they can't manage to leave the house every day. In this YouTube video, little girl Kayla gets the adventure of her life when her dad creates a makeshift roller coaster right in their living room. Displaying a thrilling 3D roller coaster video on the TV, her inventive dad puts her in a laundry basket and syncs every climb and jolt so that she thinks she's riding the real thing. Can't wait to see what he comes up with on rainy days.

How 2 Dogs Helped a Toddler Escape Her Room Is a Must Watch

When the pets of the Cardinal house want something, they get it - even if it involves jailbreaking a toddler who knows where the humans keep the kibble.

So one morning, Chris and Nina Cardinal - parents to 15-month-old human Chloe and golden retrievers Colby and Bleu - discovered their daughter wandering the hallway despite the fact that they last saw her sleeping in her room with the door closed. Considering she can't yet reach the doorknob, they decided to pull video footage from their home security system to find out what happened.

That's when they discovered that their two dogs - one of whom "knows how to use doors" - had barged in her bedroom, woken her up, and coaxed her out of bed, all the while stealing her stuffed animal.

"Lately she's been dropping food for them from their bin," Chris said alongside the video he shared. "They figured she must be good to help feed them breakfast."

Costco Sells 100-Calorie Vodka Ice Pops, and We're Buying Them by the Truckload

Clear your freezers, Mom, because we just found the ultimate Summer sweet treat for you to cool down with after a long day of activities - and they'll even help you to get your buzz on at the same time. We all know how draining Summer can be with the kids out of school - not only do some of our lovely offspring choose to dabble in what feels like every single extracurricular activity known to mankind, but they also do it with adrenaline levels comparable to the damn Energizer Bunny. The second that ice cream truck jingle is heard, they sprint for sweets as if they haven't been running around all day.

Well, parents, it's our time for treats, and it's as easy as 1, 2, 3. Instagram user kerifalc recently spotted Skinny Freezers on shelves at Costco, and let's just say it's a cocktail-lover's dream come true. Each treat is 100 calories and comes in flavors like Cosmopolitan, Watermelon Lemonade, Appletini, and Lemon Drop. Just please make sure your child doesn't confuse "Mommy's special ice pops" for standard Otter Pops or Fla-Vor-Ice, because then we'd have some explaining to do.

Bring them to the beach or to your child's never-ending soccer games (as long as you've got a designated driver, you're good to go). The Slim Chillers pops have been available at Costco for the last few Summers, and we're just as excited as you are to see them back on shelves. Bonus tip: while some have complained of the pops not freezing, others recommend putting them in a cooler with dry ice, which "worked like a charm."

Check out Skinny Freezers ahead, and make sure to stop by Costco and pick up a pack or find a local retailer and start chilling.

18 Times J Lo and ARod Totally Nailed This Whole "Blended Family" Thing

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are a match made in celebrity heaven. Besides their incredible talents and good looks, they've managed to show the world how a blended family should be. Having come from a family with step children and half-siblings, I know how hard it can be to make these situations work, and if their Instagrams are any indication, they've really figured it out. Blending their two families - two daughters on his side (Natasha and Ella) and twins on her side (Maximillian and Emme) - J Lo and ARod really are parenting goals. Here are 18 times they've proven that with love and hard work, a blended family can be a beautiful thing.

Why You Should Stop Telling New Moms to Sleep When the Baby Sleeps

When you're a new mom, well-meaning people will tell you things. Seemingly helpful things. They'll tell you their own tales of what it was like for them the first time they brought their bundle of joy home from the hospital. Sometimes they share these anecdotes for the sole reason to bring themselves joy - to revisit a long-lost memory - and other times they do it to genuinely be thoughtful.

Which is why, as a new mom, I can't for the life of me understand why people still tell me to "sleep when the baby sleeps." This run-of-the-mill advice isn't exactly useful.

Here's why being told to "sleep when the baby sleeps" doesn't help me.

I've heard it a thousand times.

If I've heard it a thousand times, you've heard it 2,000 times. So why would you want to tell me something so ubiquitous and ordinary? Tell me something that's super specific. A product you couldn't live without after you delivered. Like a butt washer.

Sometimes the baby sleeps for only 10 minutes.

That's obviously not the goal, but the oh-so-frustrating Moro reflex (that sudden jolt your little one does while snoozing) has woken up my child countless times after just a few minutes of napping. If I'm gonna nap, I need a solid window of time to actually nap.

I need to do things.

You're supposed to let chores fall by the wayside in the first few weeks and focus only on what's important: healing your body and bonding with your baby. I followed orders. I didn't move the car to the correct side of the street on street sweeping days, and I didn't bother opening up the mail for about two weeks. But I had doctor appointments I needed to go to (for me) and walks I wanted to take as part of my recovery. When my child was actually napping, that's when I'd ask my mom to watch her so I could get something done.

I can't sleep on command.

Can anyone do this? Are there people who can quickly transition from that exhausted-but-awake state to a drowsy one? There's an important distinction to make that advice-givers aren't recognizing. Yes, I'm absolutely sleep deprived in a way that burns my eyes and forces me to talk to myself as I do things ("OK, I'm in the kitchen now and I'm going to open the fridge and pull out the juice") for fear that I'll end up just shuffling aimlessly around the house, but I'm also, unfortunately, alert. I don't want to be alert, but I was just holding and feeding my baby. So I was focused. If I'm going to nap when the baby naps, I need some time to wind down and turn off my brain. Some quiet. Some Netflix. Some romance.

This Mom's Choice to Fly First Class While Her Kids Sit in Coach Is Causing an Uproar

I'm going to be honest: whenever I am faced with the unlucky scenario of having to board an airplane with my two young kids, I secretly wish I had infinite wealth such that I could fly to whatever destination we're headed solo and pay someone to cart my kids there separately. There's no greater form of parenting torture, in my humble opinion, than spending several hours cramped inside a flying tin can with tiny humans who have the attention span of a gnat.

So when I read an article that British TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp "flies business class while her two children, ages 10 and 12, fly economy," my first thought was to seethe with jealousy.

In the article, she admitted that "when we fly as a family, the boys do fly separately from [partner] Ben and me if we're not in economy together." She reasoned that first-class accommodations "should be a huge treat you've worked hard for" and that "it seems like an absurd waste of money." In fact, the money she saves by not having her kids in upgraded seats goes toward making their vacation that much better.

While I was busy calculating how many airline frequent-flyer points it'd take for me to even daydream about such an option, the backlash came quickly, with most people taking to Twitter to condemn the working mom's "selfish" choice.

Others, including a former airline worker, were quick to question the impact her decision has on her fellow passengers:

Still, many came to her defense for a host of reasons. It's not like she's living my secret dream of leaving fussy toddlers to shriek and kick seats unattended - her kids are at an age where they can be entrusted to sit unaccompanied for several hours without incident.

Even Kirstie herself made a great point as to why leaving 10-year-olds to sit without their parent on a plane should really be the least of everyone's concerns:

She's right - particularly about the part in which "people parent differently." I doubt I'll ever be in the financial situation to fly first-class on my own dime, and many aren't in a position to fly at all with their families. She has the luxury of choice, yes, but it's her right to choose how she parents amid those luxuries. Plus, it's worth noting that many traveling parents are unwittingly separated from their kids per the airline's seat payment policy, in which you have to pay extra for advance seating assignments. Why is it OK when the airline enforces such separation but not when a parent so chooses it?

And for those viciously calling her a "thoughtless mother" unconcerned with her "children's safety," the reason she even spoke about her particular in-flight setup was because, last year, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay said he did the same thing. Where was all the outrage when he admitted to it?

Whether you agree with her or not, the next time you are flying with your kids, however old, I guarantee you'll think about her arrangement and, for at least a few moments anyway, you'll see the appeal.

My Daughter Is Begging Me Not to Work - Here's What I Told Her

Last week, my 7-year-old daughter heard me on the phone talking to an old friend and colleague. He had recently started a new enterprise and had reached out to see if I would be interested in doing some work for him. We chatted for about 45 minutes about our personal and professional lives, and my daughter seemed to be half-listening, as kids are known to do. When we hung up, she asked who I was talking to and what the call was about.

"I don't want you to work more!" she yelled at me, tearing up and flipping out in a fashion that she's perfected.

"It was a friend I used to work with at a couple of magazines, and we were talking about whether it would make sense for me to do some work for him," I explained, expecting her to immediately lose interest in the conversation. She didn't. "Would that mean you would work more than you do now?" she replied. "Well, yes, it would, but it wouldn't be until you and your brother were back in school," I told her, figuring that would shut down her line of questioning. It didn't.

"I don't want you to work more!" she yelled at me, tearing up and flipping out in a fashion that she's perfected over the course of her seven years of life. I was confused. For years, I didn't really talk to her much about my work as a writer and editor, and then I realized how royally anti-feminist and f*cked up that was, considering I'm both proud of my work and determined for her to know that she can be and do anything she wants professionally. So I started talking about how important my work was to me and how much I loved it (not as much as her and her brother, but a lot) and, to my delight, she was totally into it. She started telling her little girlfriends about how her mom was a writer and how she was my frequent inspiration, and I could hear the pride in her voice.

So was this little anti-work tirade a one-off I should brush off, or had I always misunderstood her reaction to my work as a positive one? And, moreover, even if she'd always hated me working, did it really matter? As I heard comedian and mom of two Ali Wong say on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, hadn't I "suffered enough" to make her life as joyful and fulfilled as possible? How could she possible want even more from me? Despite me explaining that my work would keep my busy when she was at school, she still insisted that she didn't want me to do it, which basically translated to: "I want you at home waiting for me during the day." Sorry, kid, but no.

After she calmed down, I talked to her about how much I loved being her mom and how glad I am that I get to spend most of my time with her and her brother. But, I told her mommies can work, too, and lucky mommies, like me, get to work doing something they really enjoy. I told her that I hoped she would someday find a career that makes her as happy as mine makes me. And that, if she did, I hoped she wouldn't give it up completely for anyone, even her own children. We should both be able to have it all, no matter how hard that balance is to find. She seemed OK with my explanation in the moment, but I'm preparing myself for an ongoing conversation with her once my workload actually does increase. It'll be an adjustment for all of us, and I want her to know exactly why I'm doing it.

While it wasn't easy hearing my daughter upset about the prospect of me working more - especially since I would like to get back to spreading my professional wings now that my children are older - I have to believe that letting her watch me try to balance work and being a mom is a much greater gift than giving up my work because of a temper tantrum would be. The balance isn't easy, but it's oh-so important.

The Best Present Anyone Got Me After Having My Baby Was a $15 Butt Washer - and It Was From My Husband

If you asked me a year ago if I'd ever pen a post about a butt washer I would've shook my head. Oh, no. Happy to talk about feelings and mental health, but writing about my rear? Not for me.

But then I went ahead and had a baby - well to be accurate, a doctor vacuum extracted a baby out of my vagina after two+ hours of pushing - and my body was in so much agony following the delivery, that my most cherished moments included soaking in a sitz bath (if you don't know what that is I envy you) or rinsing myself with a Fridababy Fridet, The MomWasher ($15), courtesy of my hubs.

He bought it for me as a half-joke, half-real new mom must-have. I rolled my eyes at him when he gave it to me, but was in complete appreciation when I found it in the bathroom during my first week home.

While the hospital gave me its own run-of-the-mill squirt bottle to use to soothe the pain in my nether region, the Fridababy was so much friendlier. It had a 90-degree spout so that I could quickly get water where I needed to. Plus, the bottle itself was malleable, so I didn't have to work as hard to get water to come out. It made using the restroom almost tolerable.

Put it on your registry or buy it for yourself. You'll be happy to see it in your bathroom after you deliver.

While you might think that splurging on a cute souvenir cup isn't worth it, it's actually an awesome way to keep your wallet a little fuller. Snakes Are Being Found Inside Families' Pool Noodles, So Basically, Summer Is Canceled

I am truly unwell.

A fire department in Arizona is warning the members of its community against using pool noodles after reports of finding snakes living in them - and this, my friends, is why we can never have nice things.

"POOL NOODLE ALERT!!!" reads the City of Buckeye Fire Department's Facebook post, which goes on to share a story relayed from a local about rattlesnakes found in their pool noodles. Casual. "If you come into contact with a rattlesnake, or any other type of snake, stay calm."

Oh, HELL, no. Easier said than done, firefighters; I'd be running from that situation faster than Usain Bolt.

"One of the worst things you can do when coming across a rattlesnake is to start panicking," the post continues. You know the fastest way to make a person start panicking immediately? By telling them not to panic.

After some research, the fire department also found reports of other types of snakes laying eggs inside the noodles, so they provided a few tips for if you come across a snake - particularly, a rattlesnake - in or around (or nowhere near) a pool noodle.

Snakes rely on vibrations in the ground to determine where you are. If you start moving fast and abruptly, you'll only scare the snake more. . . give it a lot of space. You can easily walk around it without frightening it. Just keep in mind that rattlesnakes can coil up and strike at great lengths, so give it as much space as possible.

If the first indication of a rattlesnake's presence is the sound of its rattle, you've already startled it. Instead of running, stay still. Chances are, the snake will stop rattling and slither off after it has calmed down. Humans are much bigger than snakes, so they don't see any benefit in biting if it doesn't need to protect itself. They'll more than likely slither away to safety on their own.

Although this warning hails from AZ, where snakes are much more commonplace, don't be fooled and sleep on this too quickly. A quick Google search of "Which states have snakes?" provided me with a top result of "VENOMOUS SNAKES FOUND IN EACH STATE," so we're all potentially doomed. Happy Summer, friends, and be careful out there.

Scarlett Johansson Faces Backlash for Playing a Transgender Man in New Film

A year after Scarlett Johansson and director Rupert Sanders landed in hot water over their Ghost in the Shell adaptation, the pair are facing backlash once again for their newest project. On Monday, Deadline broke the news that New Regency won an auction for Rub & Tug, a film based on the true story of Dante "Tex" Gill, who prospered in Pittsburgh's 1970s and 1980s massage parlor and prostitution business. Johansson has been cast as Gill, a transgender man who was born as Lois Jean Gill.

Backlash quickly arose at the idea that Johansson, a cisgender woman, would portray a transgender man, especially after both she and Sanders received so much backlash for the whitewashing in Ghost in the Shell. Gill very publicly lived as a man; ScreenCrush revealed several bits from his obituary that highlighted this, including the fact that Gill "insisted [he] was a man" who wanted to be known as "Mr. Gill."

To further contention, when asked to comment on the reaction to her role in Rub & Tug, Johansson's rep told Bustle, "Tell them that they can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman's reps for comment." The flippant response completely disregards the fact that while, yes, cisgender actors have played transgender roles and received great praise (and prestigious awards), they've also faced immense backlash because this creates fewer opportunities for trans actors.

The online community has not been shy about addressing the controversy, since this would be strike two against Johansson and Sanders when it comes to appropriating identity.

If You Look Up "Galeophobia" in the Dictionary, You'll See These 12 Horrifying Movies

Picture this: you're having a blast swimming in the sparkling, crystal-clear ocean on vacation, when all of a sudden, something brushes your foot. You glance down, expecting to see seaweed, but instead, you find yourself looking into the jaws of a hungry, blood-thirsty shark. While a real-life scenario like that is exceedingly rare (the US averages just 19 shark attacks each year), it sure makes for some terrifying movies. With a bunch of new shark thrillers out recently (Mandy Moore's 47 Meters Down, Blake Lively's The Shallows), there's no better time to get reacquainted with the shark horror movie genre and kick your galeophobia up a notch.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch: What the Cast Is Up to 15 Years Later

It's hard to believe Sabrina the Teenage Witch is more than 20 years old! The series first premiered in 1996 on ABC, but continues to live on in our hearts and on Hulu. While no one can hold a candle to Melissa Joan Hart's Sabrina Spellman, the iconic series is getting ready to be introduced to a whole new generation. Netflix is in the midst of adapting the Archie Comics series into a brand new show titled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and it's bound to be way spookier than the original. As we gear up for the series, see what the original cast is up to now.

Jennifer Lopez's Twins Are All Grown Up, and Seriously When Did This Happen?

Jennifer Lopez may still be Jenny from the Block, but her twins Maximilian and Emme are definitely no longer babies. The precious pair has been gracing our Instagram feeds for over nine years, but we're still shocked by how quickly they've grown up - and, judging from all of the TBTs she has posted lately, so is Mama J Lo.

She consistently provides her followers with a mix of throwbacks and daily snapshots of the twins, and her recent pictures have got us feeling all sorts of nostalgic for when they were still sweet little tots. Check out all of the cute 'grams Jennifer has provided us with so far this year to see just how grown up the twins are looking.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before Stars a Pretty Little Liar, and We Are VERY Excited

If you thought that Lara Jean's older sister looked familiar in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before teaser, then you thought right. In the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Jenny Han's bestselling novel, Lara Jean (played by Lana Condor) accidentally reveals her secret feelings for all five of her former crushes, and her wise big sis, Margot, is played by Janel Parrish, best known as Mona Vanderwaal on Pretty Little Liars. Seriously, the cast for this movie is out-of-control good.

You probably don't even remember whether or not you liked Mona after the series finale, and we can't blame you. Parrish's PLL character led a complicated arc, playing the show's main antagonist for the first two seasons, and then again during the first half of the fifth season. But besides hitting Bethany Young with a shovel, killing Charlotte DiLaurentis, and making a deal with "A" to fake her own death and frame Alison DiLaurentis, she wasn't all that bad, right? In any case, we can't wait to see Parrish reprise her role in the PLL spinoff, The Perfectionists.

Mona isn't the only role that Parrish has taken on before. After making cameo appearances on shows such as The O.C. and Zoey 101, Parrish got her first starring role when she played Jade in the live-action Bratz movie, where four best friends try to avoid being split into different cliques during their first year of high school. Soon after, Parrish landed a recurring role as May in the NBC supernatural drama series Heroes. Of course, Parrish's big break came in 2010 when she became Mona Vanderwaal, our favorite Radley Sanitarium resident.

Parrish has appeared in supporting roles in several movies since then, including Triple Dog, One Kine Day, 4 Wedding Planners, and Celeste & Jesse Forever, as well as in cameos on Drop Dead Diva, The Mysteries of Laura, Rush Hour, and Rosewood. Besides The Perfectionists and To All the Boys I've Loved Before, Parrish will be starring in the forthcoming home-invasion thriller Hell Is Where the Home Is as well as costarring with Mickey Rourke in the boxing drama Tiger.

The Losers Club Is Back and All Grown Up in the First Cast Photo For It: Chapter Two

Come on, losers, we're going back to Derry.

Production on It: Chapter Two has officially begun, and the cast celebrated by sharing a photo of the Losers Club all grown up. The photo features the main adult cast at what looks like a table read, seated a là "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci. Pictured is Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, and Andy Bean as Stanley Uris.

The only other adult not in the photo is Pennywise himself, Bill Skarsgard, though he would probably have to be in costume and it's too soon for us to be scared out of our minds just yet.

Some fans are already attempting to decipher whether the positions of the characters mean anything, and it might if you know how they all end up in the book. But of course, director Andy Muschietti may not follow the second half of Stephen King's novel to the letter, so don't strain yourself too much trying to unravel any hidden clues. What you can do is check out all the details we've rounded up on It: Chapter Two and keep an eye out for updates as production moves forward!

23 Books That Need to be Adapted Into TV Series ASAP

In the past decade, book-to-TV adaptations have expanded beyond PBS Masterpiece fare (although those are still great, too) to full-on must-see TV. Hits like Game of Thrones, The Handmaid's Tale, Big Little Lies, and 13 Reasons Why were all books first. Frankly, this is a trend we want to see continue, because our bookshelves are overflowing with stories that would be perfect for the small screen.

In fact, some of the books on this list have already been adapted into films, so clearly Hollywood is on the same page. However, this disparate group of novels all have one thing in common: they deserve way more than two hours to unfold. The characters in these books deserve to come to life over the course of multiple seasons, and maybe even become monster hits à la Game of Thrones.

From YA favorites to sprawling sci-fi series, the books on this list are all perfect for TV.

Hailey Baldwin's Bringing the Sarong Back, and It Almost Distracted Us From Her Chic Bikini

Hailey Baldwin hit the beach with Justin Bieber on Tuesday, and while everyone else was busy looking out for more steamy PDA from the couple, we were entirely distracted by Hailey's chic beach look. The model wore yet another stand-out bikini, this time in classic black, topped with a floral wrap skirt that gave us flashbacks to the days when all you needed to cover up on the beach was a simple sarong.

Though Hailey's style was a little more structured (and even came with a matching tie-front crop top) it had plenty in common with a classic pareo, and reminded us that sometimes simple is best. Knotted in the right way, a sarong can really emphasize your best bits, and that's something bikini queen Hailey obviously knows all too well. Take a closer look for yourself now, then shop similar items for yourself.

This outfit is perfect to rock while out shopping, like Pippa did, because it's airy, simple, and perfect for the hot weather. Keep scrolling to get a closer look and shop similar options.

The 1 Thing Men Find Irresistible in a Woman

Looks can hook a guy, but what is it that keeps them wanting more? After discussing the topic with some guy friends, my boyfriend, and even my parents, I noticed a particular trait that was consistent across conversations. It was agreed that the sexiest trait in a woman by far is independence.

Independent women are assertive, are self-assured, and play by their own rules. They don't need anybody else but themselves to validate who they are. So when it comes to relationships, they're low maintenance as partners because they're busy running their own lives. They know when and what to give without being overbearing and have enough confidence to thrive on their own.

Here's what some of them said:

"It shows that they don't need me." - Jacob (27)

"Independence is attractive because it means they have their own thoughts and interests outside of me - creates a much deeper and interesting person." - Sam (26)

"To be independent, you have to have a lot of other good qualities. Like you've gotta have some sort of level-headedness, intellect, and confidence." - Marcus (27)

"Because you're creating your own path for others to follow." - Sunny (49)

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the biggest turnoff they said was neediness. It's a deal-breaker if she doesn't know how to be without her boyfriend. This can be in the form of expecting constant communication, not wanting to hang out with her own friends, or showing irritation when her significant other is unavailable. If this sounds like you, cut it out. You have to know how to be secure with yourself and in return, you won't need a man to make you feel complete. Whoever recognizes this about you will appreciate you as a partner even more.

But there's a difference between being self-reliant and playing hard to get. It's only a matter of time before that becomes old, and the chase is no longer fun or going anywhere. Independence is a characteristic, not a game. Men appreciate this quality in a potential partner because it proves you'll be a good teammate who can pull their own weight.

The 1 Nut Dietitians Say to Avoid If You're Trying to Lose Weight

If you're trying to lose weight, you've probably heard that nuts are a healthy snack that can help you achieve your weight-loss goals. And it's true; nuts are full of healthy fats and protein that will keep you feeling satisfied.

But there are some nuts that are healthier than others. Pistachios, for example, are about 160 calories per ounce (about 50 kernels), and one ounce of almonds is about 160 calories for approximately 23 kernels. On the flip side, macadamia nuts are about 200 calories and 20 grams of fat for just 10 nuts.

"If you are trying to lose weight, I would avoid macadamia nuts because of their caloric density," registered dietitian Michelle Routhenstein, MS, CDE, owner of Entirely Nourished, told POPSUGAR. She added that it's possible to overdo it on any nut, especially if you're not measuring out a serving size. If you just grab handfuls of nuts throughout the day and aren't careful, you could be eating hundreds of extra calories a day, which will impede your weight-loss efforts. Michelle recommends sticking to a one-ounce serving size.

Registered dietitian and personal trainer Jim White, RD, ACSM, owner of Jim White Fitness and Nutrition Studios, agreed that portion size is the biggest problem when it comes to eating nuts. Although he said all nuts can fit into a healthy lifestyle if you portion them out correctly, he agreed that macadamia nuts can be the trickiest since they have the most calories and only two grams of protein per nut.

That doesn't mean you should give up macadamia nuts entirely; they can totally fit into your weight-loss plan as long as you are careful with the serving size and allot for their calories - that is, don't just grab handfuls throughout the day. In general, you should always measure out your food, especially if you're eating something particularly calorie-dense, such as nuts, oils, or avocados.
