6 Fast Facts About the Suicide Squad Sequel, From the New Title to the Release Date
The entertainment world has been buzzing about the impending sequel of Suicide Squad. Now that the next installment of the bad-guy epic is on the official calendar of DC Comics releases, Warner Bros. has begun courting a director and breaking ground on the project. With so much up in the air, it's easy to wonder what we do know about the sequel. We did some digging and scraped together as much confirmed and speculative information as we possibly could.
1. The Official Title
Suicide Squad's sequel has officially been titled . . . drum roll, please . . . The Suicide Squad, according to Deadline.
2. James Gunn Is Writing the Script (and Potentially Directing)
Although David Ayer wrote and directed the first film, it seems Warner Bros. may be veering in a different direction for round two. The studio was reportedly courting Mel Gibson for the job at first, but in October, The Wrap reported that Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn will take over the script, and possibly direct. Back in July 2018, a right-wing troll began circulating a number of Gunn's old tweets, some of which included distasteful jokes about pedophilia. Although he apologized, Disney fired him from his Marvel gig, so it would be interesting to see how he handles a film in the DCEU, instead. As of right now, a director hasn't been nailed down.
3. David Ayer Likely Won't Return in Any Capacity
In March 2016, The Wrap inadvertently confirmed the sequel during a seemingly innocuous news report. As almost an afterthought, the site mentioned that Suicide Squad 2 was already on Ayer's 2017 schedule. Obviously things have changed since then, and Ayer is busy with the Training Day TV adaptation and the sequel to his fantasy-crime Netflix film, Bright.
4. Most of the Original Cast Will Probably Return
The aforementioned report from The Wrap also mentioned that Suicide Squad's sequel was on Will Smith's schedule as well. Considering he was one of the biggest stars attached to the first film, it would make sense that Warner Bros. would want him to return as Deadshot. Jared Leto, Karen Fukuhara, Joel Kinnaman, and Margot Robbie are also going to come back, especially since the latter is locked in to play Harley Quinn in the Birds of Prey film. Dwayne Johnson is joining the film as well, taking on the role of Black Adam.
5. It Could Be Rated R
In Spring 2016, David Ayer talked about the sequel with MTV News. While the studio definitely aimed for a PG-13 rating on the first one, the second one is up in the air. Ayer remarked that an R stamp "would be worth lobbying for." In light of the runaway success of 2016's Deadpool, which made billions of dollars and became one of the most successful R-rated films of all time, an R-Rated Suicide Squad sequel sounds pretty appealing. Ayer is no longer involved with the project, but let's hope the studio still decides to take it in that direction.
6. Jay Hernandez May Not Be Gone Forever
Even though El Diablo goes out with a pretty epic blaze of glory in the first film, actor Jay Hernandez told ComicBook that the character could still return somehow. "Of course there is [a chance he could return]! I'm not saying anything, just that it's a possibility." Considering Superman kind of, sort of dies in Batman v. Superman but also seems to have somehow come back from the dead to appear in the Justice League films, nothing is out of the question.
Justin Timberlake Literally Fell to the Floor Over This Surprise Performance For His Birthday
Justin Timberlake may have had to work on his 38th birthday as his Man of the Woods tour continues, but the post-show party was worth the wait. He and a bunch of his friends got together at The Grill in NYC after Justin's Madison Square Garden concert on Thursday, and someone who he wasn't expecting showed up as a huge surprise: Mase, aka one of JT's favorite rappers ever. When the rapper walked in, the crowd parted for his entrance, and a visibly shocked Justin literally fell to the floor with a smile across his face.
Justin has been open about the fact that his two favorite rappers are Mase and André 3000, and even Jessica Biel knows without a doubt. Mase's surprise performance was captured on video, and it's adorable to see Justin's reaction. Despite the slightly less eventful birthday date night when Jessica fell asleep in the car, it looks like Justin's birthday celebrations turned out alright. Watch the video ahead, and see a few other snaps captured by Questlove at the party.
Aw! Joe Pesci Gets Nostalgic About Home Alone in Google's Sweet New Super Bowl Ad
Following the success of Macaulay Culkin's adorable, Home Alone-themed commercial for Google Assistant over the holidays, the company decided to recreate the nostalgia from a different angle for their Super Bowl spot. This time around, Joe Pesci, who plays burglar Harry in the 1990 comedy, sits down with his buddies to watch the big game and happens to see Culkin's ad on the TV. He quiets his friends and clearly gets nostalgic about the film, which is totally fine since we are too (#noshame). Watch it above, and then take a peek at all the other 2019 Super Bowl ads that have come out so far!
Having This 1 Thing in Common Makes Meghan Markle's Relationship With Camilla So Special
Getting along with your in-laws is always hard, but it's especially difficult when your father-in-law is the heir apparent to the British throne. Luckily, Meghan Markle has gotten along famously with Prince Charles since she joined the royal family in May 2018, and the Duchess of Sussex has won the hearts of several other new family members as well. Meghan and Prince William seem to have a solid relationship, and it's well reported that Meghan and her sister-in-law Kate Middleton are close as well. She's even earned the affection of the queen, which is no easy feat. But the question remains: how well does Meghan get along with Prince Harry's stepmother, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall?
We know that William and Harry have an amicable relationship with Camilla after an understandably rocky start, and just as with Charles, it has been said that there is obvious affection shared between Meghan and Camilla as well. "They clearly really like each other," a close family friend confirmed. "There is real warmth and support. Camilla has been very helpful to Meghan." Camilla has a track record for getting along well with her stepdaughters-in-law, as seen by her close relationship with Kate Middleton, so it only makes sense that she would extend the same affection to Meghan.
Before tying the knot with Harry, Camilla reportedly helped to ease Meghan's prewedding jitters with an intimate one-on-one lunch at Clarence House. We imagine that Camilla can relate to the feeling of being an outsider (both women are divorcées, making their second marriages into royalty pretty taboo for the queen) so it's no surprise that she would go out of her way to make Meghan feel welcome in her very intimidating new family. Meghan has even been said to admire the way Camilla managed to change the public's perception of her over the years and that Camilla's guidance has helped Meghan to get through the first few months of her new life as a royal.
Photos of the two also speak for themselves, as whenever the pair is photographed together, it's pretty clear that they enjoy each other's company. At Prince Charles's 70th birthday celebration in May 2018, they shared a laugh as Harry was attacked by a rogue bee during his speech. Kust a few weeks later at Meghan's first Trooping the Colour ceremony, she and Camilla could be seen gabbing away on the Buckingham Palace balcony. As well as cracking up together, the two are often physically affectionate as well, speaking closely and grabbing each other's hands in excitement. Check out the gallery ahead to see the two duchesses hitting it off for yourself.
8 Things You Should Know About the Late Princess Margaret
Long before Princess Diana was the "people's princess" embroiled in scandal and Princess Charlotte was giving the best face, Princess Margaret was the "spare" royal grabbing headlines. The Queen's younger sister was famous (or infamous, depending on who you asked) for her messy love life, a series of scandals, her fabulous style, and her love for a serious party. While viewers of the Netflix drama The Crown know some of the facts of Princess Margaret's life - or at least a fictionalized version of her life - most people probably don't know much about the princess. For some of the basics about Princess Margaret, plus some fun facts you probably didn't know (and some amazing pictures), click through the gallery below.

What You Need to Know About Fauna Hodel, the Inspiration Behind I Am the Night
If you're looking for a chilling thriller to help you avoid the chilly weather, I Am the Night might be just what the doctor ordered. The six-part TNT miniseries stars Chris Pine and portrays the real-life events of the 1947 Black Dahlia murder - but that's just the beginning.
If you're not familiar with the story, then you probably want a little background before you start watching. Nicknamed "the Black Dahlia," Elizabeth Short was a 22-year-old waitress and aspiring actress living in Los Angeles when she was found brutally murdered in a vacant lot near Leimert Park in 1947, her body cut in half and severely mutilated. The Black Dahlia's killer was never found, making her murder one of the oldest, most infamous cold case files in Los Angeles history.
Chris Pine's I Am the Night character - a reporter named Jay Singletary investigating the case - is totally fictional, but the story is not, and neither is one of the other supporting characters: Fauna Hodel.
Portrayed by India Eisley (who is best known for playing Ashley Juergens in the ABC drama The Secret Life of the American Teenager), Fauna Hodel was the granddaughter of Dr. George Hodel, a physician considered a suspect in Elizabeth Short's murder case. However, Fauna never knew her grandfather, as her mother, Tamar Hodel, gave her up for adoption in 1951, four years after the Black Dahlia's murder, when Tamar was only 16. According to Tamar, Fauna was the product of a sexual assault, and though the father was white, Tamar listed Fauna's father as being black on her birth certificate in order to "ensure that the child would never return to [her] emotionally reclusive white family."
Before Jimmie Lee Greenwade (a black restroom attendant at a Nevada casino) took over Fauna's care, George Hodel insisted she be named Fauna - which is from the same Robinson Jeffers poem where Tamar got her name - and that she not be legally adopted.

Raised by the name Pat, Fauna grew up caught between identities, unsure of her race, and hoping to learn about her biological family. She also developed a trying relationship with her adoptive mother, who struggled with alcoholism that forced the family into poverty. In 1972, Fauna was able to track down her mother, which is when she learned her family's dark past. After Tamar insisted during her 1949 testimony that her father was almost definitely guilty of the Black Dahlia murder, George fled to Asia, where he remained until 1990, but was never found guilty.
In 2008, long before her death in 2017 due to cancer, Fauna wrote a memoir, One Day She'll Darken (pictured above), which focuses on the story of her falsely identified racial background rather than her connection to the Black Dahlia case (and which was originally going to be the name for the TNT series rather than I Am the Night).
However, in the TV series, reporter Jay connects with Fauna after receiving an anonymous tip, hoping to learn about her supposed connection to the murder. Though the real-life Fauna didn't live to see the series, her daughter Rasha Percoraro seems to fully support it, even posting a photo of herself with India Eisley and director Patty Jenkins. She's also cohosting a podcast, Root of Evil, as a companion to the series.
Helen Mirren Reveals Prince Harry's "Insulting" Nickname For Her, Praises Meghan Markle
Helen Mirren may have played royalty in her Oscar-winning role as Queen Elizabeth II in 2006's The Queen, but that certainly hasn't interfered with her real-life relationship with the British royal family. On Thursday, the actress made a special appearance on Good Morning Britain to help with the launch of this year's Prince's Trust Mentor of the Year award, revealing some fun tidbits about Prince Harry and Prince William. When asked if Prince Charles has ever spoken to her about playing his mom in the film, Helen said no, but that Harry and William have "been very funny and very cool about it." She even revealed the "insulting" nickname Harry once called her (which you can find out in the video below).
Helen also took a moment to praise Meghan Markle and applaud her for dealing with the pressures that come with becoming a royal. "I think right from the moment that relationship was revealed, she conducted herself with incredible self-restraint, elegance, discipline, and simplicity and humanity," she said. "I was an admirer . . . it's an incredibly difficult life to lead, talk about pressure. I think she is doing it with great elegance."
Helen is an ambassador of Charles' Prince's Trust, and in 2017, the actress teamed up with L'Oréal Paris to launch their "All Worth It" campaign. The initiative "aims to turn self-doubt into self-worth." "Overcoming self-doubt is a journey and I am truly happy to see L'Oréal Paris partnering with The Prince's Trust to help many young people who don't believe in themselves," Helen said in a statement. "We have a responsibility towards this generation to lead by example in what we say, how we act, and what we do. I wholeheartedly support this initiative."
Did Nicki Minaj Take a Shot at Drake in Her Latest Music Video? We'll Let You Decide
Nicki Minaj's video for her song "Hard White" has everything we'd expect from the 36-year-old rapper: sex appeal, artistic shots, and all sorts of theatrics. Naturally, it's entertaining. Minaj sports a spiked crown as she takes the throne and raps about being the best while religious symbolism flashes across the screen.
But one scene in particular has caused a bit of stir, and it has to do with Minaj's old friend Drake. Back in December, fans noticed that the two rappers weren't following each other on Instagram anymore and began to wonder if they had a falling out. Neither one of them have explicitly said anything about each other, so are they good? Is everything OK over there, y'all? It's hard to know for sure. See if you can spot the detail that suggests Minaj threw shade at her (former?) Canadian pal in the video above. It's a real stinger - yes, that was a hint.
Prince Harry Comforts a Boy Grieving the Loss of a Parent: "The Same Thing Happened to Me"
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's recent outings have been full of adorable meet-and-greets, sweet speeches, and shared laughs, and on Friday, their visit to Bristol's Empire Fighting Chance boxing charity brought about an especially sentimental moment. After learning that one of the young boxers named Iestyn Jones was mourning the loss of his father, Harry asked everyone to leave the room so he could privately speak to the young boy and offer his condolences.
According to Iestyn, he and the royal prince spoke for 10 minutes about loss and heartache. Harry - who lost his mother, Princess Diana, in a car accident when he was 12 - told Iestyn, "The same thing happened to me." The young boxer went on to describe how meaningful the conversation was. "It just got a bit emotional because he mentioned something. He knew some stuff about me and the same thing happened to me," Iestyn told reporters. "When we had a group picture at the end he made sure I was standing next to him. They were lovely people. I didn't expect them to be like that. They were amazing people." The two also share the same love of boxing as it helped them through their grieving processes.
Harry often comforts those who have experienced the death of a loved one during his royal engagements. In October, he offered words of encouragement to a little boy who lost his mother, telling him, "Life will always be all right." During the Invictus Games that same month, he consoled a military widow named Gwen Cherne after learning of her husband's suicide. "He understood what I meant. When you understand loss, I think it's obvious," Gwen said in an interview with People.
While being a royal may seem glamorous, the high-power position also comes with the important responsibility of connecting with the public - which Harry has expertly done time and time again. See more pictures of his visit to Bristol's Empire Fighting Chance ahead!
Adam Levine Breaks Silence Over Super Bowl Controversy: "People Know Where I Stand"
It's been several months since we first learned Maroon 5 would headline the halftime show of Super Bowl LIII, and the group's frontman is finally addressing the controversy surrounding their performance.
After it was announced that the group's pre-Super Bowl press conference was canceled, Adam Levine sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss Maroon 5's decision to perform at the halftime show at all, given recent protests against the NFL.
"When you look back on every Super Bowl halftime show . . . it's like this insatiable urge to hate a little bit," he said. "I am not in the right profession if I can't handle a bit of controversy. It is what it is. We expected it. We would like to move on from it and speak through the music."
The controversy in question concerns how the NFL has handled Colin Kaepernick and other players kneeling in protest of the oppression of people of color and police brutality. Notable celebrities like Beyoncé and Jane Fonda have publicly supported Kaepernick - Rihanna has even been reported to have turned down the NFL's offer to headline the halftime show for that very reason. Maroon 5 "gleefully accepted" the offer and will be joined by Travis Scott and Outkast's Big Boi on Feb. 3.
"No one thought about it more than I did," Levine revealed. "No one put more thought and love into this than I did . . . I spoke to many people, most importantly though, I silenced all the noise and listened to myself, and made my decision about how I felt."
When asked about people who "just want to be heard" by the band, in regards to their choice to accept the gig despite the NFL's highly criticized stance, Levine confidently responded that "they will be."
"I don't want to spoil anything, but I've never been more excited in my life to present this to the people because I truly believe it's a representation of all of us," he added. "I'd like to think that people know where I stand as a human being after two decades doing this. We're going to keep doing what we're doing, hopefully without becoming politicians, to make people understand we got you. We got you."
On Friday, Feb. 1, Kaepernick's attorney, Mark Geragos, responded to Levine's comments on Good Morning America.
"If you're going to cross the ideological or intellectual picket line, then own it, and Adam Levine certainly isn't owning it," Geragos said. "In fact, if anything, it's a cop-out when you start talking about, 'I'm not a politician, I'm just doing the music.' Most of the musicians who have any kind of consciousness whatsoever understand what's going on here."
We'll have to wait and see exactly how Levine and the rest of Maroon 5 "got us," as well as what the other performers have in store for us during the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Feb. 3.

Here's everything we know so far about season two.
The Cast of Dune Has Us Wondering Who ISN'T Going to Be in the Film
Director Denis Villeneuve's upcoming film Dune is gearing up to be a real wellspring of star power. The science fiction action movie already cast Beautiful Boy's Timothée Chalamet as the lead while also signing on The Greatest Showman's Rebecca Ferguson, Thor's Stellan Skarsgard, and Guardians of the Galaxy's Dave Bautista. Currently, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, and Javier Bardem are in talks to bring their talents to the intergalactic lineup.
The film is based on Frank Herbert's 1965 novel of the same name. The story takes place thousands of years into the future where humans have spread out and populated different planets. A young boy named Paul Atreides develops special powers and becomes the leader of a planet called Arrakis to protect the inhabitants from intruders. The book was first turned into a movie in 1984 with director David Lynch's adaptation.
The plot itself sounds rather epic, and if you read the collection of Dune novels, then you know it is. So it's only right that it has an impressive cast. Hopefully, everyone already on board and anyone who plans to embark on the futuristic space adventure will be able to bring such an intricate story to life on the big screen. Ahead, see who is confirmed to be on the all-star cast!
Kylie Jenner Celebrated Stormi, Her Very Own Force of Nature, With a Rainbow-Themed Party
Kylie Jenner is all about showering baby Stormi Webster with love. That's why, after a lavish vacation for Stormi's 1st birthday, the celebrations continued back at home. Kylie threw an adorable party for her daughter on Friday, although it didn't go according to the original plan.
Due to the threat of bad weather, Kylie changed up the idea for Stormi's festivities. "We were supposed to have Stormi's birthday this weekend," Kylie said in her Instagram Story. "It's not happening because it was supposed to rain and it's not raining anymore, and it didn't ended up raining, but it's alright, better safe than sorry. We have all her cousins here, everybody who loves her."
The new party was rainbow-themed, down to the multicolored sprinkle cake. What else do you look for on a Stormi day? Both Kylie and her boyfriend Travis Scott shared messages of love for their little one and never before seen photos, including the ones above. Keep reading to see a few snaps from Stormi's celebration.
Here's What We Know About the Jane the Virgin Spinoff, From the Title to the Plot
The final season of The CW's Jane the Virgin hasn't even aired yet, and the pilot for its potential spinoff, Jane the Novela, hasn't even been shot. But that hasn't stopped fans from getting very excited for any new information about the project, so we went ahead and got some for you. Here's what Jane the Virgin creator Jennie Snyder Urman shared about the upcoming series, which is being written by Valentina Garza, while speaking to journalists during the Television Critics Association press tour on Jan. 31.
Gina Rodriguez Will Narrate the New Show
No offense to Anthony Mendez, who voices the Latin Lover Narrator on Jane the Virgin, but our girl's got this. It also makes a lot of sense for her to do it, since Snyder Urman said "the spinoff is a different conceit, because they're Jane's novels that she'll write in the future."
If Snyder Urman has her way, Rodriguez will also direct. She's already directed two episodes of Jane the Virgin so far, including the upcoming season's premiere, which features her character giving one mammoth monologue and is therefore even more of a directing challenge. On top of that, she's tackled an episode of the other series Snyder Urman executive produces, Charmed. After the panel, Snyder Urman said of Rodriguez's directing that "I knew she was going to be amazing with the actors - that was no surprise to me - but I did not know what a genius she was with composition and cameras and framing. I mean, next level."
Will Any Other Jane the Virgin Characters Appear in This Show?
According to Snyder Urman, "Probably not the first year." She noted that if the show makes it to a second season - provided it gets picked up to series in the first place - and they get time to establish new characters and settings, "we can see what comes. But, I mean, I love this cast. I'd be lucky to work with every single one of them again, and I really hope to."
It's honestly not that far-fetched of an idea, given what we know about Jane's writing. Her first book, Snow Falling (which you can actually buy IRL), is inspired by her own life. Set in early 1900s Miami, it's a love triangle among a hotel employee, the railroad tycoon who owns the hotel, and the police officer to whom she's betrothed. Sure, it only has three and a half stars on Goodreads. But who's counting?
It's Closer to the American Horror Story Definition of an 'Anthology'
As opposed to a different story each episode like in Black Mirror, Snyder Urman said that this show will tell one complete story a season, similar to the way it's done on FX's American Horror Story or HBO's True Detective.
This makes sense, she reminded us, because traditional telenovelas tell a story over one season and then move on. "It feels really exciting to be able to tell this kind of emotional, dramatic, scary, funny story all in one season," she said.
Perhaps this might also change the show's chances with the Emmy Awards? Jane the Virgin has always been unfortunately neglected by the TV Academy (although Rodriguez won a Golden Globe in 2015 for best actress in a TV comedy). Emmy voters have one more year to get it right.
The Setting Will Be Different
While Jane the Virgin is set in the colorful, vibrant world of a Miami luxury hotel known as The Marbella, Snyder Urman confirmed that Jane the Novela "will be set in Napa Valley at the intersection of wine and art."
That's a twist, since we don't know if Jane knows much about Northern California. Does she take a research trip this season? Is The Marbella brand expanding? Maybe she goes as part of a babymoon? Rodriguez did tease a bump photo of her character on Instagram . . . Whatever the case, we highly recommend she peruse POPSUGAR'S list of best things to do in Napa and also maybe our tips for riding the area's famous wine train.
But the Tone Will Be the Same
Snyder Urman did stress that the two projects have the same bones and the new one would also have "magical realism and a very actively imaginative heroine." (Hmm. That sounds familiar). Jane the Virgin trademarks like the pun-themed hashtags that appear on screen would also carry on to the new show.
We also have been told that the spinoff focuses on a family that fails to keep its secrets buried for long. Think of all the dead bodies buried at or near The Marbella (Rafael's dad! Scott!) or found there (Anezka!). Maybe they will inspire one of Jane's stories? Snyder Urman did say that there are "little hints here and there" to these stories in this season of Jane the Virgin, "but you've gotta really dig in." So pay close attention when the series returns on March 27.
This Year's Oscar Noms For Best Documentary Could Not Be More Different
You may think documentaries are merely educational (read: boring), but that just means you aren't watching the right ones. Documentaries can be just as exciting as fictional films - and sometimes even more so, since you know the events are real. This year's Oscar contenders for best documentary tell some pretty wild stories, including that of a filmmaker posing as a jihadist-sympathizing photojournalist to infiltrate the daily life of a radical Islamist family, a professional climber who performed the first free solo climb of a 3,000-foot-high rock formation, and an inside look at history's most beloved Supreme Court justice. Read on to see what makes this year's best documentaries so remarkable.
I Hate Wearing Jeans on the Plane, and This $52 Tracksuit Is Perfect For Traveling
Is there really anything worse than being stuck on a plane for hours, sweating in too-tight jeans? In case you can't tell, I've learned from experience; it's not my favorite thing. Years ago, I switched from wearing denim when traveling and decided to opt for cute and comfy track pants that basically feel like pajamas but are still stylish enough that I won't have to worry about getting kicked off a plane.
I recently treated myself to this Striped Velour Top ($26, originally $44) and matching Jogger Pant ($26, originally $44) set from the latest POPSUGAR collection at Kohl's release, and I'm so obsessed with it.
Just last weekend I flew cross-country, and they were perfect for my five-hour flight. The best part? I got even more use out of them by styling them as separates on my trip. The cozy striped sweater was perfect to pair with jeans for a chill dinner, and I rocked the joggers on a casual day with my favorite hoodie. Need more convincing? They're on sale right now, so what are you waiting for?
Beyoncé's Shoes Look Like an Arts and Crafts Project I Want to Be a Part Of
If I had Beyoncé's wavy-print Dries Van Noten set, I would probably wear it as my coolest pajamas, lounging around the house until enough cat hair turned it gray. But oh boy, if I owned her Jacquemus Terracotta Sandals, how I'd style them! First, I'd rock them with skinny jeans and a white tee, an outfit that revolved fully around these masterfully crafted heels. Then, I'd team them with a vibrant midi dress that hit below the knee and attracted attention downward.
While you may have missed these kicks if your eye tends to go straight to color, we wouldn't dare let you overlook the most impressive part of the show. These days, you can find plenty of mules with geometric add-ons or chunky, mismatched heels, and luckily, we rounded them all up for you in case you're still admiring Bey's oversize Gucci sunglasses or striped Marni bag. Hey, look over here! This time, it's the shoes we're shopping.

Kate Middleton Wore a McQueen Coat From 2012 For a Very Significant Reason
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a trip to Dundee, Scotland, on Tuesday, beginning the trip by opening the city's brand-new design museum, V&A Dundee. For the occasion, Kate (or the Countess of Strathearn, as she's known in Scotland) turned to one of her favorites, Alexander McQueen, opting for a tartan look we've seen her wear before. The duchess debuted the green and blue coat dress (which is from the McQ by McQueen diffusion label) way back in 2012, when she visited St. Andrew's school. It got a second outing at the Christmas service the following year. Choosing to wear it this time had a special significance, as the tartan is that of Scotland's 3rd Battalion Regiment, known as the Black Watch. Kate teamed it with black tights and pumps, Princess Diana's sapphire earrings, and a green top-handle bag from Manu Atelier ($565).
This detail showed how much thought Kate puts into making each and every outfit appropriate for the occasion. From her New Year's Day appearance in blue to her "casual" gardening outfit (complete with $1.8K earrings), she's been giving us serious lessons in royal style this year. She seems to have been digging into her own archives a lot recently, too. Earlier this month, she took an old Oscar de la Renta skirt suit out for a second spin, and she famously stepped out in an 8-year-old Jenny Packham gown back in November. Have the residents of Kensington Palace got into KonMari and discovered some old clothes that still spark joy? Take a look at this latest outfit repeat ahead.
Let's Be Honest: Your Outfit Is the Most Important Part of the Super Bowl
Either you're totally into football and you're parked on the couch every Sunday, or the Super Bowl is just an excuse to gather with friends. Either way, it's also prime time to pick up a few new outfit essentials. All the Times Meghan Markle Wasn't Afraid to Show a Little Extra Skin
There's been so much talk about Meghan Markle breaking royal protocol and disregarding certain fashion rules, we just want to scream, "Aren't you tired of harping on her every move?!" - at least when it comes to fashion, anyway. Hello, it's 2019! Meghan should be able to make tasteful - even trendy - style statements while still being regarded as a serious public figure. She seems to take this into consideration.
After all, Meghan has worked countless off-the-shoulder designs and even riskier, asymmetrical hemlines with confidence. Ahead, we rounded up all the times she successfully accomplished sophistication with a hidden touch of sexiness, whether it was by showing off her legs in a mini, her toned arms in a halter, or her baby bump proudly in something formfitting.
Meghan Markle Was Wearing a Forest Full of Animals on Her Dress, in Case You Missed It
When Meghan Markle joined Prince Harry for a visit to Bristol, England, she had a unique surprise underneath her William Vintage coat. The printed chiffon dress that floated down over her Sarah Flint boots and peeked out from her outerwear was actually covered in animals that make up an "enchanted forest," according to Oscar de la Renta designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia.
While the dress is currently sold out, it retailed for $1,813 and features bishop sleeves and a button neckline. Meghan played up the olive tones, coordinating her suede Ralph Lauren clutch with her shoes, and finishing the outfit with Pippa Small diamond studs. While the animal print dress you've got hanging in your closet might be splashed with a simple leopard pattern, Meghan's number is a touch more wild than that. Read on for a peek, and shop some designs that take the trend to the next level.

I Lost Too Much Weight For My Wedding, and It's My Biggest Regret
I remember the moment I put on my wedding dress, just hours before I was set to walk down the aisle. Standing in front of the mirror in the bridal suite, surrounded by my mom, my sister and maid of honor, friends and aunts, it was hard to believe this moment, one I'd fantasized about for nearly a year, had finally arrived. Butterflies churned in my stomach as my attendants helped me slip into my dream wedding gown, and immediately I knew. It. Didn't. Fit. I'd lost too much weight, and now, my gorgeous wedding dress hung on me around the arms, waist, bust, and hips like it had been fitted for someone else.
I'd gone for my final fitting just a week before. At the time, the salon owner cautioned me against losing any more weight. I don't know exactly how many pounds I shed between my very first gown fitting and that last fitting, but it may have been around 15, even though I didn't really have 15 pounds to lose. Since then, I'd probably dropped at least another five pounds. I was not following any specific diet or even trying to lose weight. My prewedding diet really centered on one trick: horrendous nerves.
Not that I was anxious about getting married. My husband-to-be was, and still is, a wonderful man I have never doubted committing my life to. My nerves centered on the fact that everybody would be watching me on my wedding day. Knowing I'd have all eyes on me felt overwhelming, and that pressure pretty much erased my appetite the closer I got to the big day.
On the afternoon of my wedding, wearing a too-big wedding dress, with my closest friends and family members scurrying around me in a panic, trying to figure out how to pin and tuck the gown to fit me, it hit me just how much I'd let my anxiety affect my eating habits. Regret washed over me as I thought about how my parents had spent a small fortune on this dress. And it's not like I had a backup option waiting in the wings. No matter how it looked, this was the dress I would be wearing in front of all those people, including my husband, whom I'd wanted to wow, in just a few short hours.
I wanted to cry, but I knew I couldn't risk messing up my makeup. "I'm sorry," I mumbled to my mom, as she frantically attempted to pin me into my dress, along with the help of my aunt. Luckily, they were able to make my dress look enough like it fit me so we could leave the bridal suite and head to the venue for photos. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel self-conscious that my dress didn't end up fitting the way I'd envisioned.
That I'd gotten too skinny is my biggest and only regret about my wedding. Which is why I'm warning every bride out there not to follow in my footsteps. Don't stop eating regular meals just because you're nervous. It's not worth it come the big day. I'd especially caution brides against losing a ton of weight in the last week before your wedding, after your final fitting, as I did. You want to feel completely confident about your wedding-day look, and if your gown is ill-fitting, it's not gonna happen. So learn from my mistake, and approach prewedding weight loss sensibly, something I so wish I'd done when it was my turn to say "I do."
