Barry's Bootcamp is one of our favorite workouts because of how intense and thorough it is. We love a good sweat sesh! If you're looking for a new fitness class to try in 2019, why not give one of the old reliables a chance if you haven't already? Whatever your fitness goals might be, trying a new group fitness class to burn some calories is always a good idea. If you want to give Barry's Bootcamp a shot, here's what you need to know before your first class, including how much you can expect to pay.

What Is Barry's Bootcamp?
Barry's Bootcamp is the ultimate high-intensity workout that combines cardio with strength training. You have two class options: Original and Double Floor. Following the Original format, you'll split your time between running and weightlifting; Double Floor allows you to remove the treadmill and focus entirely on strength training.
The studios have a signature red-light treatment - so it's a little dim - which keeps you focused on your workout and no one else's. The music is also cranked up so that you're just hearing that on top of your instructor's encouragement.

What Is a Typical Barry's Bootcamp Class Like?
An Original class is 25 minutes on the treadmill and 25 minutes of strength training, while a Double Floor class devotes the same amount of time to strength training alone. Each class will vary based on who your instructor is and what music they've chosen, but expect a really high-intensity workout that will keep your body moving at all times.
Barry's Bootcamp classes are for everyone, despite being pegged as a difficult workout. You can adjust the exercises to meet your needs and work at your own level and pace. And while there's a heavy focus on pushing yourself in the weight training, you are encouraged to lift weights that feel right for you to get the most out of your workout. Still, each class burns up to 1,000 calories and produces a lot of sweat, so remember to drink plenty of water.
How Much Do Barry's Bootcamp Classes Cost?
Barry's Bootcamp pricing varies by region. There are studios across the US as well as around the world. Prices in more expensive markets, like New York City, start around $36 per class. You can also buy packs of classes to reduce the cost per class. For instance, in New York, a 10 pack of classes will cost you about $330.
Los Angeles is less expensive at $30 per class or 10 for $280, and Nashville is cheaper yet at $25 per class or $210 for a 10 pack. Some cities even offer deals for first-timers, including free classes or discounts. You can find the studio nearest you, as well as class prices, on the Barry's Bootcamp website.

What Else Do I Need to Know?
Barry's Bootcamp rotates its schedule every day, so you can, in theory, work out several days in a row and target each area of the body. Mondays are arms and abs; Tuesdays are lower-body focused; Wednesdays are chest, back, and abs; Thursdays are abs and butt; Fridays are total body; Saturdays are upper-body focused; and Sundays are total body.
Get Ready to Master the Pull-Up With This Effective Bodyweight Exercise
If you can't tell by now, my goal is to help you all (especially women) learn how to do pull-ups. In my opinion, the best way to learn how to do pull-ups is by just doing them. I know that sounds a lot easier than actually doing it, especially if you don't have a foundation of strength.
As you work on your upper-body strength, one move you can begin practicing is the scapular pull-up. This exercise will teach you how to depress your shoulder blades (moving your shoulder blades down your ribs), the first step to performing a pull-up. You can do this with a partner supporting your lower body if you're a beginner or alone if you're more advanced.
How to Do a Scapular Pull-Up
- Place a bench, box, or another stable object underneath the pull-up bar. Stand on top of the bench, and grip the pull-up bar with both hands. Your hands should be slightly wider than shoulder-width distance apart, and your palms should be facing away from your body.
- With control, remove your feet from the bench, and hang from the bar. Your shoulders should be relaxed.
- Without bending your arms or swinging, perform a reverse shrug to depress your shoulder blades. Pause for a second at the bottom, then return your shoulders to the starting position.
- This counts as one rep. Complete two sets of 10 reps.

If You're on a Mission to Get Stronger Abs, a Celeb Trainer Said to Do These 3 Exercises
If you're on a mission to get a stronger core, grab a pen and paper and get ready to take notes, or just bookmark this article. POPSUGAR spoke with celebrity trainer Jason Walsh about how he trained Brie Larson for Captain Marvel, and he also gave us some ab-strengthening advice.
Everyone has a different opinion on the best ab exercises to do for a stronger core, and Jason prefers antirotational movements. "You don't have a lot of rotation," Jason told POPSUGAR while explaining his philosophy behind doing more antirotational ab exercises. "If you're forcing yourself into a lot [of rotational movements], you're really putting a lot of torque and twist on that lower spine," he said. According to Jason, "If you can get stronger at antirotation, that's the good stuff."
Both plank variations are antirotational, and Jason added the Russian twist because it doesn't require much twisting, adding that it helps strengthen the transverse abdominis. Check out the three ab-strengthening exercises ahead.
The Ab-Strengthening Exercises
You can add these exercises into your existing ab routine or make a quick workout with them. If you're a beginner, aim to perform them for 20 seconds or complete 10 reps per exercise. If you're more advanced, aim to perform 30 seconds or complete 14 to 20 reps of each exercise. Rest for 45 to 60 seconds and repeat for a total of two to three rounds.
- Elbow plank with reach
- Russian twist
- Elbow plank with leg lift
Yep, Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber Share Shampoo - What's Mine Is Yours, Right?
In marriage, many couples adopt a certain "what's mine is yours" philosophy. Sometimes it's just easier to sneak a little bit of your partner's favorite product from the medicine cabinet, after all. This mentality doesn't fly in all situations, but for Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber, there's at least one hair product the newlyweds both reach for.
"My husband, Justin, and I actually share the same Unite shampoo in our shower," the 22-year-old told Marie Claire, revealing that most days she pairs the shampoo with her Mane 'n Tail leave-in conditioner.
"We definitely don't share skin care, though!" she continued. "I moisturize with a cream by Dr. Barbara Sturm that's formulated with my blood, so I don't think he wants to put something that was made from my body on himself."
We all draw the line somewhere! Skin care may be off-limits, but since Baldwin is such a huge fan of her husband's scent, we do hope Bieber lets her steal his cologne every once in a while.

You're Gonna Want to Double Down on This Cool New Piercing Trend
"Make it a double" used to be the phrase most often reserved for your local bartender (and preferably in regard to tequila, thanks). Now, it's on heavy rotation at the piercing parlor, especially for the tragus part of your ear.
To recap, the tragus is the little flap of cartilage near the side of your face that protects your ear canal. Getting the area pierced is nothing new - everyone from Rihanna to Lucy Hale to Scarlett Johansson (and just about every high school rebel) has tried it at one point or another - but doubling down on the look is the modern update you never knew you needed.

Did You Know Your Shampoo Bottle Used to Be a Unicorn Pool Float?
Herbal Essences is hoping to clean up our oceans and raise awareness of marine pollution. The brand partnered with TerraCycle to create its Beach Plastics Collection - a line of shampoos and conditioners housed in bottles created from plastics scavenged from beaches.
"We are alarmed by the astonishing statistics about just how much plastic enters the ocean every year, and wanted to do something to drive awareness to this issue," said Herbal Essences beauty scientist Rachel Zipperian. The recyclable containers of this line were created with 25 percent beach plastics. "The additional plastic is needed to ensure the bottle is functional - it must be strong and flexible and the reclaimed ocean plastic is degraded," she said regarding the other 75 percent.
"Beach plastic is rigid plastic found on beaches and shorelines and in oceans, rivers, and lakes," said Tom Szaky, TerraCycle CEO. "This material tends to be dirty and degraded from exposure to the elements (sun, salt water, and sand) and is typically considered nonrecyclable for this reason. Because of this, the beach clean-up organizations collecting this litter from marine environments usually have no choice but to throw this material in the trash."
Upcycling these materials not only helps our ocean life, it also impacts other parts of our environment, as these plastics would typically be incinerated via fire (if it isn't sitting in a landfill). The beach plastics are harnessed through TerraCycle's network of nonprofit clean-up organizations around the world, which pick up plastics from beaches and waterways.
"This particular production run of Herbal Essences bottles in the United States is diverting about three tons of beach plastic, which weighs over 6,000 pounds," said Szaky. Though the number is large, he explained where it falls in the larger picture of marine pollution: "This is just a drop in the ocean compared to what is out there. The most important thing to highlight is the fact that this bottle will fuel much-needed conversations around marine plastic pollution and actions everyday consumers can take to contribute to a solution."
Zipperian said that the brand recognizes that plastics oftentimes aren't recycled, even though they could be. "This is an issue that the entire industry faces," she said. "We know we can do better so we are partnering with recycling innovators to make better choices, now and in our future. We can make a bigger impact together and hope awareness brings more change."
Ahead, see everything in the sustainable line.

John Oliver Trolled the FCC Because He's Fed Up With Robocalls, and So Are We!
As far as newsworthy trolling goes, there's pretty much no contest when it comes to John Oliver - and his most recent prank on the Federal Communications Commission has us muting our phone ringers in solidarity. In an era of rushing to answer your phone only to find that it's some pre-recorded telemarketer instead of a family member or friend, it's no surprise that the Last Week Tonight host couldn't hold back from expressing how fed up he is during his Sunday night segment.
"Hi, FCC. This is John from customer service," Oliver said in an actual voicemail message for the FCC. "Congratulations! You've just won a chance to lower robocalls in America today. Sorry, but I am a live person! Robocalls are incredibly annoying, and the person who can stop them is you!" In an effort to prove to the FCC just how annoying it is to receive frequent and repetitive robocalls, Oliver dramatically revealed - via a giant red button pushed by an equally as giant hand - that his message is set to go out to the FCC every 90 minutes, followed by a sound clip of bagpipe music.
According to Last Week Tonight, robocalls increased by 57 percent in 2018 alone, resulting in nearly 47.8 billion robocalls. And, despite the fact that nearly 60 percent of complaints directed at the FCC are about robocalls, according to CBS This Morning, the agency continues to insist that it's the individual's responsibility to prevent large companies from gaining access to their contact information. The FCC does have the authority to combat robocalls - and even solved the spam call problem a few years ago - but pushback from major companies has led the number of robocalls to skyrocket once again. Oliver described the situation by saying, "We basically got our one-year sobriety chip and celebrated by drinking a bottle of Captain Morgan."
Watch the full clip above, and let's all hope Oliver's message gets the point across once and for all.

5 Things I Really Wish I'd Known Before Being in an Open Relationship
Relationships are tricky business. Some say monogamy is overrated; some believe it's the only way. After my divorce, I decided that I should try out a variety of relationship styles to figure out exactly what I wanted. I'd been in a committed relationship for the majority of my adult life, and jumping into another one felt off somehow. "If this one didn't work out, why wouldn't another turn out just the same?" I asked myself. Of course, that was just my post-breakup brain talking. Committed, monogamous relationships are wonderful, but I was ready to try something new.
As I dipped my toes into the world of open relationships, I started by asking Google some questions: What is an open relationship exactly? How do you find other people who are interested in this setup? What books should I read about polyamory and the like? What if I don't want to be someone's secondary relationship?
Google didn't let me down, providing at least one billion different links to read (seriously). A book that continuously popped up was The Ethical Slut. A friend also suggested reading Mating in Captivity, just to feel out both sides of this precarious coin. Soon, I found a new relationship and shared what books I was reading with him. I cringed slightly, awaiting his response to my suggestion that we have an open relationship when we had only been seeing each other for a couple of months. Surprisingly, though, he was open to it. I was excited, but as it turns out, I was so unprepared for what it was actually like. Here are five things I wish I had known about being in an open relationship before actually being in one.
- A foundation of healthy communication is critical. Relationships bring out every emotion and feeling, and that's before you add in extra people. If you struggle with healthy communication, i.e. no yelling, name calling, shaming, passive aggressiveness, and so on, then adding other romantic relationships into the mix might just exacerbate things. Opening your relationship isn't necessarily a solution for a couple who are already struggling. Healthy communication should be your starting point. Do you really want to be in this primary relationship? If so, what are your reasons for wanting an open relationship?
- Set some ground rules beforehand. Do you have dealbreakers when it comes to an open relationship? Maybe you only want things to be open at certain times, like when visiting a sex club. Or maybe you're OK with hookups that are mostly physical, but you're against your partner developing a more romantically intimate relationship with someone else. Maybe sex is OK, but no sleeping over at each other's houses. Whatever your MO is, vocalize it. Your partner won't know what your needs are if you don't share them.
- It's easier to accept the idea of your partner having sex with someone else than actually navigating it in real time. That communication thing will come in handy here. Setting some ground rules is essential before venturing into open relationship territory. But even if you talk about everything that might make you uncomfortable - BAM! - something you least expected to bother you will. It's just part of the deal and something that you have to work through together. When we first ventured into other relationships, I asked my partner to share the first time he had sex with someone else so I could process it. I wasn't expecting the grief that I felt, but it was important for me to feel that so I could make an informed choice about whether I could do this thing or not.
- Be secure in who you are as a person. This seems obvious, and maybe others don't struggle with this, but there are times when my partner would be sharing things with me about a different partner (communicate if you want to hear about other partners), and what was being shared was completely opposite of how our relationship was. That inner critic began to pipe up in my head, saying, "She's better than you are. Prettier. More fun." Bat that critic down, and love yourself because you are enough. Your partner's affection for someone else doesn't diminish who you are as a person in the slightest. I don't want to be like someone else, and neither should you. If fears of "What if my partner decides to be with that other person?" pop into your head, acknowledge them. None of us are obligated to anyone else. If our partner, or we, decide to leave a relationship, that's OK. It's OK to move on. And it's also OK to grieve those losses if they occur.
- Know that everything is temporary. I often have an all-or-nothing mentality (maybe it's the Scorpio in me). When I say everything is temporary, I mean that every second of every day, things change. Some things are out of our control, and some things aren't. If something isn't working for you, voice it. Change it. If you were comfortable with something before but no longer are, say so. Just because you choose a path doesn't mean it's set in stone. If you or your partner want to continue this lifestyle and the other doesn't, that's OK. It might mean having to walk away from the relationship, or it might mean redrawing some boundaries that everyone is comfortable with.
Being in an open relationship isn't for everyone. I grew up in a very rigid, close-minded area where I didn't know such a thing existed. Allow yourself, if you want, to consider the idea, especially if it's something that has piqued your interest in the past. Treat yourself with compassion, patience, openness, and probably a healthy dose of humor (because, hey, it makes for good stories) if you decide to give an open relationship a try. You might just love it. Or you might not. But that's the beautiful thing about life; you can always change your mind.

Pop Culture and American Politics Continue to Obscure Working Moms' Realities

I didn't have childcare arrangements for my final class of the teaching semester. My usual sitter had a final exam, relatives were working, and back-up sitters weren't around. I called my eldest son's nursery school and arranged to pay the fee for him to stay late, but I had no one to watch my 10-month-old. I emailed the office to inform them I would have to bring my infant to class. "Sounds like you have taken into consideration that there should not be a disruption in your students' learning," the English coordinator responded. "So it should be all right."
"I rarely see TV shows that capture the gritty truth of a working mother's experience."
I did my best to occupy my son, who whined and thrashed in my arms. I let him crawl on the dirty floor while listening to my students read from their memoir essays. Halfway through the class, I had to excuse myself to change his diaper on the floor of the women's bathroom; my office was full of other instructors meeting with students and there were no changing tables or family bathrooms available. The whole scenario felt right out of a sitcom, as my son tried his darndest to escape the small pad separating his bare bottom from the restroom tile - except I rarely see TV shows that capture the gritty truth of a working mother's experience.
Mothers have faced scrutiny and discrimination since they've pursued equality in the workforce. Today, 70 percent of mothers with children under the age of 18 work outside the home. In the 1960s, only 11 percent of women were the breadwinners, compared to the 40 percent of working mothers who are the sole or primary household earners today, but policies like paid leave or proper nursing rooms to accommodate working mothers lag far behind the sheer number of us in the workforce.
Last year, 102 women were elected to Congress, several of whom have young children. Change on Capitol Hill began with the installation of nursing stations and changing tables, but extensive reform is needed to keep women in positions of power.

A current policy bans lawmakers from using official funds on childcare needs, but the congressional schedule makes it difficult for parents to get home to relieve sitters or have dinner with their kids even three times a week. A single mother to three school-aged children, like California Democrat Katie Porter, needs childcare before and after school and during the many overnights, which could easily overwhelm her salary. Many women, like Senator Gillibrand, move their families out of the home states they serve to DC and enroll them in local schools because of the time commitment expected.
Howard and Bernadette dote over their baby on The Big Bang Theory. Photo courtesy CBS.
As is our reality, pop culture often reinforces stereotypes that make it difficult to advocate for the reform working mothers need. In wildly popular shows like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Big Bang Theory, children hardly factor into the storyline or, in some cases, are reduced to mere whines in the distance. It's easy to forget Howard's wife, Bernadette Wolowitz, has any children as a working mother.
Midge Maisel, an embodiment of the privileged elite, is more mythical than marvelous as she's never had to drag her kids to a nightclub because of a childcare conflict, and hardly receives pushback from her husband, parents, or community for the amount of time she spends away from her children working both a day job and a night gig. At the end of season two, when Midge decides to accept an offer to perform on a world tour for six months, she does so without hesitation or consideration for her children. As refreshing as it is to see a woman make a bold career move without thought of the family she leaves behind, it's grossly unrealistic and problematic, especially when it hurts real working women with all-encompassing careers who need employers who respect familial responsibility. As a mother watching in 2019, the scene feels highly unlikely given it's set in the late '50s. Careers like Mrs. Maisel's exist - see music artist Pink on tour with two kids - which is why it's that much more important our television breathes life back into these real-life complicated scenarios.
It may say something that many of the contemporary shows honoring the complex reality of working motherhood are produced outside of the country. In the British sitcom Catastrophe, Sharon - a grade school teacher and new mom of two - begs her principal to let her come back early from maternity leave after months of isolating childcare at home and a bout with postpartum depression. She has no qualms complaining about the drain her children pose on her body, sex life, and overall well-being.

If American entertainment portrayed more complexity facing parents in the workforce, maybe the women in Congress would have less of an uphill battle trying to pass reasonable family leave that sustains a working family. For example, in Australia's The Letdown, mothers are judged if they don't work and judged if they work too much, and stay-at-home moms are denied participation in career day at their child's school, which feels a bit more real.
"Little will be done in way of real reform in our government policy if popular culture doesn't accurately reflect our reality."
Many of the policies put forward recently that seem like a great step for families and working mothers fall egregiously short. Ivanka Trump's six-week family leave proposal, which would deplete Social Security benefits even farther for a generation that isn't guaranteed any, simply won't cut it. Senator Amy Klobuchar's former plan, for parents to work three times the leave they took - or pay it back - certainly wasn't it either.
Though we're at an all-time record-high number of women in the workforce, America is still the only developed nation without a mandatory national parental leave across the board from employers. More exposure to the reality we face in entertainment will help to address the other large issues that continue to harm working mothers today, such as the large gender and racial wage gaps, or the limited availability and affordability of good childcare. Something American television could use more of are working moms maintaining both their identities as caretakers and contributors to their communities, and as women who adore their children and sometimes resent the burden they place on their lives. If TV better reflects our reality, maybe our political leaders will be more motivated to address it.

There are some US television shows that are helping the cause. SMILF's struggling single mother Bridgette often has to tote toddler, Larry, to her tutoring job, and once had to leave her son with his father's girlfriend because he had to see the doctor when she had to work. Homeland's Carrie is another example of a woman striving to balance motherhood with her demanding career as a freelance ex-CIA agent. Eventually, she surrenders custody to her sister after her job overruns her ability to provide a safe environment for her daughter. This Is Us's Beth, mother of two, asks husband Randall to drop out of a political race when it seems unlikely he'll win. This moment becomes an issue in their marriage after he promised to give her the time to put her career first for once. Allowing women to make these choices onscreen opens possibilities for other women to make difficult work decisions in their own lives - and helps hold fathers accountable as equal partners in child-rearing.
American politics and popular entertainment often hinge on the family, but gendered policies and outdated tropes hurt families. When a baby is born, most men still have limited opportunity for parental leave, and those who do, don't tend to use it. Mandatory paid parental leave for fathers helps women get back to work sooner, keeps them on a leadership track, and prevents gender discrimination in the hiring process. On average, only 13 percent of companies offer paid parental leave and men are unlikely to take more than two weeks because of peer pressure in the office. Like family leave, a nationwide policy should mandate that all public men's restrooms include accommodations for changing their children's diapers. Even as we expect more of fathers than we have in previous generations, we haven't made necessary changes that encourage stay-at-home fatherhood or won't harm a two-father family. In Canada's Workin' Moms, there is a stay-at-home father who enjoys raising his daughter while his wife goes to work.
I spent the drive home from the last day of class worried over my student evaluations. I imagined a few would mention my son on the last day and how it made me less professional than other instructors, affecting my desirability to be hired by the college as an adjunct in following semesters. But as I got home and picked my oldest up from school, I reconsidered the benefits of bringing my child to a college class. I showed my students that you can have a career and a family, you can teach a class and parent at the same time, and that working motherhood is complicated, but most importantly possible. When I checked my student evaluations, not one mentioned my infant. In fact, one student said, "she is really professional and competitive."
Little will be done in way of real reform in our government policy if popular culture doesn't accurately reflect our reality. And as our policies continue to fall behind our growth as a society, it becomes easier for this misrepresentation in our entertainment to continue. It's time to stop celebrating when a show features a female protagonist or when Congress has a record number of women elected, and start fighting for a world where a woman can run a company and a household - even a country - in all the complexity that entails, without scaling unnecessary hurdles that intend to stand in her way.
This Surprise Proposal at the Eiffel Tower Has an Astonishing Twist That You Won't See Coming
Melissa and Vishal met and started dating in Singapore; however, there is a twist in the story: when the couple met, Vishal was in the middle of a big move to Poland. But they really liked each other and decided to not let the distance get the best of them. Besides, the two are huge travel junkies and during the course of their relationship they visited a range of countries including Indonesia, India, Poland, Germany and Czech Republic where they created lovely memories and embarked on spectacular adventures.
It only made sense that this pair of globetrotters got engaged in an international location, and Paris is the pinnacle of romance. So it was fitting that this was the place where the Vishal popped the question, and photographer Pierre was there to capture the moment. "When we decided to get some photos taken in Paris I contacted Pierre 'in secret' a couple of weeks earlier and told him about my intentions of proposing and wanting it to keep it as a surprise", said Vishal.
However, Vishal was not the only one with a few tricks up his sleeve, and, boy, was he in for a surprise! "I had a gut feeling he had planned something," said Melissa. "Besides saying yes to him, I also wanted to let him know that I chose him, and I also wanted to ask him to be mine for life." So, Melissa bought a titanium ring and had her own counterproposal after she said yes to Vishal.
It was a marvelous day and the photos are absolutely beautiful, just like the story behind it, so make sure to check them out!

This INSANE Edited Photo of the Super Moon Looks Straight Out of Star Wars
If you, like me, have spent your entire life admiring the natural cosmic beauty of the moon, then this picture is about to completely blow you away. Dedicated space-lovers captured some truly breathtaking shots of February's Super Snow Moon, but one photographer took his love for space and photography a step further by editing his picture to create a colorful image of Earth's moon. Yes, the moon actually has some colors (these ones are just digitally enhanced)!
This incredible snapshot was captured and edited by space enthusiast and self-taught photographer Andrew McCarthy (Cosmic_background on Instagram), who planned for weeks to snap the picture and has since edited four versions of the super moon photo, making it look like a planet straight out of Star Wars.
"Our eyes are not sensitive enough to discern the various colors in the lunar regolith," McCarthy told POPSUGAR via email. "So, to me, being able to pull so much depth out of an otherwise flat image feels like having a superpower." According to NASA, lunar regolith (aka lunar soil) varies in color as a result of different levels of iron and titanium present in the soil. While these variations are typically subtle to the human eye, McCarthy's color-embellished photo exaggerates the differences to create explosions of color across the surface of the moon. As McCarthy explained in one of his Reddit posts, he "extracted the color data from 150k images of the moon so you can see where impacts 'paint' the moon with different minerals."
"Being able to pull so much depth out of an otherwise flat image feels like having a superpower."
The entire photography process takes several hours of patience and involves snapping thousands of photos from all different angles to stack them together and edit the pictures into one high-quality image. "I'll check atmospheric conditions and weather reports, make sure seeing is good, skies are clear, and humidity won't be too bad. This is days in advance," McCarthy explained. "My biggest challenge is the light pollution out here, and the accessibility of dark skies. To get the best views of some objects, I need to drive for hours, set up my gear in the freezing cold, and hope all my batteries last long enough to capture something great."
McCarthy is a business operations manager for a software company from Elk Grove, CA, but his love for space - particularly the moon - inspired him to transform an already amazing closeup of the super moon into a colorful work of art that is truly making me question everything I know about my favorite space rock. "My goal from these images is to get people to stop and appreciate the natural beauty in our skies, and it is incredibly rewarding that I have accomplished that," McCarthy said. And, as if his photo isn't already mind-blowingly cool, you can check out the high-definiton version on McCarthy's Reddit page. Keep reading to see a comparison of McCarthy's original super moon photo as well as the color-embellished version.

Shameless Fans Say Goodbye to Fiona in the Warmest, Most Un-Gallagher Way Possible
Warning: the following post contains spoilers for the season nine finale of Shameless.
It was a bittersweet goodbye for Fiona Gallagher during Sunday night's season nine finale of Shameless. Since Emmy Rossum announced that she'd be leaving the show after this season, fans have hypothesized about her exit. Would she reunite with Jimmy/Steve? Would she keep going down a dark path and end up in jail or rehab? But as fans prepared for the worst, Fiona's exit went down in the warmest, most un-Gallagher way possible, and it has everyone crying happy tears.
After hitting rock bottom during last week's episode and later receiving a check for $100K from her former business partner Max, Fiona is very aware of the second (or sixth) chance she is given. Her attorney said it best: "You seem like a smart girl, Fiona. [It's] time to leave this South Side hood-rat crap behind you and get on with being an adult." So, that's exactly what she did.
Fiona says her goodbye to Ian in prison, leaves a very generous gift for Debbie, and she even shares an unexpected, tear-jerking moment with Frank before taking her suitcase and heading out the door. It's an incredibly emotional farewell, but a happy one, and we can't wait to see how the Gallagher family evolves without her leadership in season 10. Ahead, see how fans are reacting to Fiona's sentimental departure after 111 episodes on the show.
Everything You Need to Know About Captain Marvel Scene-Stealer Lashana Lynch
We've closed in on Marvel's latest release, Captain Marvel, which gifts us with tons of cool revelations about the incredibly powerful superhero. Even all those trailers and special looks weren't enough to properly prepare us for her greatness. But along with Carol Danvers's very fuzzy new sidekick, Goose, the film introduces us to Maria Rambeau, played by the brilliant Lashana Lynch, who is Carol's best friend and former copilot.
In Summer 2018, POPSUGAR visited the LA set of Captain Marvel with a group of other journalists. During our time in the thick of the action, we were treated to an interview with Lynch. The fact that she'd joined the Marvel universe is huge; not only is she a fresh face in the superhero world, but she's a pretty recent newcomer in Hollywood, too. And here she is, kicking ass alongside a badass female superhero in one of Marvel's most important releases in the past decade! To introduce you to the rising star, we've scribbled down a handful of fun facts about the character . . . and the delightful woman who plays her.
1. She Plays the Mother of a Well-Known Marvel Comics Character
"I play Maria Rambeau, who is the mother of Monica Rambeau, who we know from the comics," Lynch revealed. In Marvel's official database, Monica Rambeau notably takes the Captain Marvel namesake after she joins the Avengers, but she's only 11 in the film and hasn't quite developed her own superpowers yet (though she clearly worships her Aunt Carol). It seems like the perfect way to segue into the Captain Marvel sequel, no? But back to Maria!
The comics don't seem to give a lot of information about Monica's mother. Luckily, we had Lynch to fill us in: "We are going from the beginning, so we're going from before Carol Danvers got her powers. We have us being set in the mid-'90s, which is nice because we have lots of flashbacks. You know, memories that we all know and love." Although we would've loved to see meatier flashbacks in the film to get a better sense of Maria's friendship with Carol, the bond between them is still very much genuine, and a high point of the film.
"My character, along with Carol Danvers, is a fighter pilot, so you catch a lot of us being the strong, driven, bold females in the workplace, in a male-oriented environment," Lynch continued. "It's nice to flash back and see that - see how women can really burst through being in that environment and still holding their own, and not having to have a man telling them what to do, where to stand, how to look. And also not be glamorous at work: not having to wear heels and the pencil skirt and be on their Ps and Qs, just being a complete badass going to work."
2. Carol's Relationship With Maria Actually Runs Deeper Than You Think
Not only were Maria and Carol best friends as fighter pilots before Carol disappeared, but they also grew up together! "They were best friends in the beginning. Absolute best friends," she said. "They were in and out of each other's houses. Carol was very close with Monica." The film hints at how tight the pair were in a scene when little Monica is showing a recently resurfaced Carol a ton of photos from her former life. She mentions how Carol wasn't close with her biological family (her father is very briefly shown as domineering and cruel) and tells her that instead, "We became your family."
Because of that time together, Lynch revealed, Maria and Carol do have a pretty incredible bond. She said they give each other "strength, mainly, and spiritual strength. In order to do the job that we do - and especially with me being an African-American female fighter pilot - any other woman just gets you, understands the journey. It gives you enough power [to] just go to work."
3. Maria Is the Key to Captain Marvel's Reverse Awakening
Once Carol returns to Earth, Maria and Monica help spark a major change in our hero. "There's a certain energy that you share with your friends that you can't get anywhere else, and she has these flashes of the feeling," Lynch told us. "The feeling of being herself through seeing her friend, the feeling of being at home through being in a home - which is mine - and the feeling of being normal and accepted, able to be herself without being an object, which I think is kind of what happens when she gets her powers." That's a pretty impactful piece of Carol's fragmented puzzle of a life.
4. Maria Can Absolutely Hold Her Own With Nick Fury
In the film, we witness a team-up of sorts between Carol, Maria, the young Nick Fury, and the fuzzy little Flerken known as Goose. Nick Fury totally factors in majorly; Lynch said he's "there to be Nick Fury, to save and support and make things happen" when Carol Danvers starts to come to terms with her own identity." While we were on set, we witnessed the scene in which Nick, Maria, and Captain Marvel all board an alien spacecraft. Now that we've seen the completed film, we couldn't imagine the story without Maria, you know?
5. Fun Fact: Lynch Auditioned For Black Panther and Almost Got Picked
In the midst of our interview, Lynch revealed that she's a longtime Marvel fan and had made it a goal for herself to get into a Marvel movie. She really had her sights set on Black Panther. "Literally, I was begging my manager to get me in Black Panther. I was in LA and they hadn't started yet, because they were just finishing up on Spider-Man," she recalled. "And I said, 'Gut I'm here now, and I could just do a tape. I'll make up sides, and I'll just do an audition, and it'll be great.'"
By now, the end of the story should be clear. "It didn't happen. I was shooting a series at the time and sent them the tape, and they loved [it] . . . and then there was an age issue; like, I looked too young for one and too old for the other, and that didn't happen. I'm really happy, because in the end, Letitia Wright got it, and she is bombastic."
6. Maria's Costume Has a Cute Little Easter Egg
A close look at Lynch's costume revealed a very cute little detail: she wears a necklace that spells "Monica" in gorgeous gold-plated lettering. "That was my idea," Lynch said, glowing. "Yeah, it says Monica, because it's the '90s." How very Carrie Bradshaw of her.

Meghan Makes a Statement in Her $345 Monochrome Print Dress
Meghan Markle ended a busy week of royal engagements with perhaps the most important one of all: she appeared as part of a star-studded panel discussion on International Women's Day. The event, organized by the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, saw Meghan joined by a host of international talent to discuss various issues affecting modern women. Of course, for such an important occasion, Meghan wore an outfit that meant business.

She is patron of SmartWorks, a charity that helps long-term unemployed and vulnerable women regain skills for the workforce. Part of this involves providing them with interview outfits free of charge. Meghan has donated her own items to the cause and even even tried her hand at providing styling advice. She knows that the right outfit can convey a strong message and help women feel empowered, and it definitely felt like that was what she was doing on Friday.
Meghan wore a striking $345 Azzura swirl-print dress by Reiss, topped with a sharp black blazer by Alexander McQueen. Her trusty Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps and a Stella McCartney clutch finished the look. Keep reading to take a closer look and to shop the dress for yourself.
