These 7 Healthy, Fruity Popsicles Taste Like Summer, and You Can Make Them at Home
Refreshing popsicles are as much a part of Summer as bathing suits and outdoor barbecues, but they're not exactly healthy - at least not the ones you can pick up from any store or ice cream truck, as tempting as they may be. The good news? With just a few simple ingredients like berries, oranges, yogurt, and coconut milk, you can make your own (much healthier) popsicles in the comfort of your own home. We've rounded up seven fruity recipes made with all-natural ingredients, instead of sweeteners. Some even call for ingredients like veggies and chia seeds - but we won't tell if you don't.

Would You Lean Over Beyoncé?
Beyoncé was the center of attention while courtside with JAY-Z to watch the Golden State Warriors take on the Toronto Raptors in Oakland, CA, on Wednesday. The two superstars were guests of Warriors majority owner Joe Lacob and his wife, Nicole Curran, who is currently at the center of a frenzied debate about personal space - specifically Beyoncé's. Cameras caught Nicole leaning across Beyoncé's body to speak to JAY-Z, and the singer's annoyed expression and body language were hard to ignore - needless to say, it took mere seconds for the Beyhive to get in formation.
I'm not going to get into the nitty-gritty of what Nicole said to the rapper, because it's clear she wasn't flirting with him - she even confirmed that she was just taking his drink order - but it's the act of one leaning their body over Beyoncé's that has me shook. Personally, I'd probably just ask her, "Would your husband like a beverage?" because I'm not trying to risk invading her bubble like that.
After the moment went viral on Wednesday night, Nicole followed up by sharing a now-deleted Instagram of herself with her hands in Bey's hair, which . . . doesn't really help matters. It's important that we don't equate this awkward interaction with something like, say, an unnamed actress biting Beyoncé's face, and while I don't at all condone the level of dragging that this woman has received, it does bring up an interesting question: would you lean over Beyoncé? Please tell me your thoughts.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix Completes the Fox Saga on a Familiar, Yet Heartbreaking Note
X-Men: Dark Phoenix tackles one of the most well-known relationships in the X-Men universe: the connection between Jean Grey and the cosmic entity known as the Phoenix force. Anyone who has watched 2000's X-Men: The Last Stand knows just how volatile this pairing can be, but the final installment of Fox's X-Men Saga takes a different route to wrap up the story of Jean Grey and the rest of the X-Men in Dark Phoenix.
Warning: Major spoilers for Dark Phoenix are ahead. Read at your own peril!
The film begins with a mission to rescue astronauts trapped in a space shuttle who are facing a dangerous solar flare. Jean (Sophie Turner) and Kurt (Kodi Smit-McPhee) are sent to grab the remaining crew member with less than 20 seconds to get back to safety before they're consumed by the rapidly approaching solar flare. While Kurt is able to grab and dash with the astronaut, Jean is left holding the ship together with her telekinetic powers and the team watches as the solar flare collides with the shuttle. Unbeknownst to them, Jean noticed the flare was about to hit the X-ship and used her power to force it all in her direction, absorbing it into her body when it slams into her.
The solar flare turns out to be the Phoenix force and Jean receives a mega-boost of power from the cosmic entity. Although she's already a powerful mutant in her own right, the new upgrade makes it hard for Jean to maintain control over her powers. She's prone to outbursts of fiery energy that can hurt those around her and now hears the thoughts of everyone, including her father who's supposed to be dead. Believing that Charlies Xavier (James McAvoy) has been lying to her about her father's death in order to use her power, Jean leaves the school in search of her sole remaining parent. What she finds is far from what she wanted.
When Jean finds her father, she learns that he gave her away to Charles because he didn't want to take care of her anymore, hating her mutation and blaming her for the death of her mother when she was eight-years-old. The X-Men arrive to collect their wayward team member at the same time that Jean realizes her father basically hates her, so it's safe to say that the upcoming confrontation is doomed from the start.
Charles's arrogance and belief that he knows better than everyone else leads to a disaster and the death of a major team member. He mentally stops Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) from tranquilizing Jean when he has the shot so that Raven, aka Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), can try to talk the younger mutant down. Instead, Jean is overwhelmed by the presence of police officers and her own power, lashing out and unintentionally killing Raven in the process.
Raven's death leads to a chasm between the X-Men: those who believe Jean needs to be taken down permanently and those who want to try and help her. Hank, who is decidedly team "Kill Jean Grey," ropes Magento into his hunt for the young woman and the two follow Jean to New York City, where she's being groomed into a force of destruction by the D'Bari leader Vux (Jessica Chastain). While everyone else has been telling Jean she needs to be stopped, Vux is encouraging the mutant to control her new powers so that she can "build new worlds." In actuality, the alien wants to take the Phoenix force for herself and is willing to kill Jean in the process.
While Vux whispers in Jean's ear, Magento's forces and Hank clash with Charles, Scott (Tye Sheridan), and Storm (Alexandra Shipp), who have journeyed to New York to take Jean home. The ensuring battle between the two groups leads to massive destruction of the block, especially since Magento literally decides to bring an underground train into the mutant fight. Though Charles and Scott are able to save Jean from dying at the hands of Vux, all of the mutants are captured by the US government, who have truly had it with their shenanigans.
The great climax of the film takes place on another train, one that is meant to transport all the mutants into a holding facility (yes, that has happened in about three other X-Men movies). Vux and the rest of the D'Bari survivors attack the mutants on the train to get to Jean, but the combined forces of Magneto's new friends and the X-Men are able to deal with a majority of them. Jean, who spent a majority of the train ride unconscious, wakes up just in time to dispatch of the remaining D'Bari stragglers. Realizing that her immense power is putting her family at risk, Jean flies up into the sky with Vux and allows the Phoenix force to consume them both, causing them to explode.
Jean's sacrifice causes everyone to reevaluate their priorities: the school is renamed the Jean Grey School for Gifted Youngsters, Hank is left in charge, and both Charles and Magneto decide to leave behind their life of mentorship to travel the world and play chess with one another. As the film ends, a large fiery Phoenix burns in the sky and we're left to assume that with the death of Jean, the Phoenix force has set itself anew once again.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix Says a Tragic Goodbye to a Major Character
Spoilers for X-Men: Dark Phoenix are lurking below, FYI.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix had a daunting task to accomplish in its 113-minute runtime - wrap up the storylines of all the major characters in satisfying enough ways, while still leaving room for future spinoffs. (Now that Disney has control of both Marvel and 20th Century Fox, we know that's inevitable, right?) While the film does manage to give the arcs of characters like Hank/Beast and Erik/Magneto reasonable conclusions, others are left more ambiguous. And in the case of one mutant in particular, their arc is extinguished altogether - unfortunately Raven, aka Mystique, doesn't make it out of Dark Phoenix alive.
The character has undergone an admirable inner transformation, proving that her shape-shifting abilities extend beyond her appearance. Raven, played by Jennifer Lawrence since 2011's X-Men: First Class, has evolved from a cynical potential villain into a woman full of empathy for her fellow mutants, and who is deeply protective of the younger students at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. It's that guardian-like quality that actually gets her into trouble in Dark Phoenix.
The film begins with Xavier sending the team up to space to rescue an American space shuttle that's in trouble. They manage to get almost all the astronauts off the ship and back on their own save for one, so with time running out, Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Kurt (Kodi Smit-McPhee) teleport over to try to pull the last man out of the wreckage before a large, churning ball of energy can destroy it.
Kurt succeeds in saving the last astronaut thanks to Jean holding the ship together with her telekinetic powers, but he's not able to grab Jean in time - the Phoenix Force slams into her, but rather than disintegrating like the ship around her, her body absorbs it. She passes out after the explosion, but soon wakes up feeling better than ever. Though the Phoenix Force makes her stronger and almost all-powerful, she also discovers that she's incredibly volatile, unable to control herself. It's this unstable quality of her new powers that leads to the death of Raven/Mystique.
After an outburst at a party leaves some of her friends wounded (and scared of her), Jean decides to run away from the school to keep everyone safe. She also decides to track down the father she thought was dead all this time, flying straight to his house. Unfortunately once she gets there and introduces herself, it becomes clear that he willingly handed Jean over to Charles a decade earlier because he didn't want her, and still blames her for her mother's tragic death.
This, unsurprisingly, pisses Jean the f*ck off, and she has one of her volatile outbursts. Before she can decimate her father's house, however, the X-Men arrive to stop her and bring her home. She refuses, still angry that Charles kept the existence of her father from her all these years, flipping over police cars and tossing her friends around in the process. Before Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) can shoot her with a tranquilizer, Raven steps into the fray to try to calm Jean down.
Raven is able to make Jean float back down to earth, speaking to her in calming tones and reminding her that they're family, but the Phoenix Force coursing through Jean's veins is too much to withstand. Jean screams, letting loose a giant burst of energy that sends everyone flying backwards. Sadly when Raven is sent careening through the air, she lands on some of the wreckage from Jean's dad's house, impaling her.
Jean, horrified, flies away before she can destroy anyone else. Hank rushes over, and sobs over Raven's body as she tries to choke out one final "I love you." But it's too late - Raven is dead.
Team X-Men later holds a somber funeral for their fallen friend in the rain, but ultimately Raven's death proves to be a tipping point, shattering the bonds of the group. Hank, heartbroken and furious over Charles' perceived inaction towards Jean, leaves the school to team up with Magneto and kill the Dark Phoenix.
In the end, of course, Jean sacrifices herself to save everyone (basically becoming a god) and the X-Men are able to put aside their differences and move forward. Raven might not be around to see Hank in charge of the new school, which is renamed the Jean Grey School for Gifted Youngsters, but we imagine that it's a future she would've been proud of.

Jessica Chastain Puts a New Spin on a Classic Comic Book Villain in X-Men: Dark Phoenix
Jessica Chastain's role in X-Men: Dark Phoenix has been a mystery since she was first seen in the film's trailer. The only information fans were given was that she was playing someone named Smith who is an "otherworldly shapeshifter." The description is pretty accurate, but there's definitely more to the story! The truth is that Chastain actually portrays two different characters in the final installment of the Fox franchise and one of them is pretty well-known to X-Men comic book readers.
Warning, spoilers for X-Men: Dark Phoenix are ahead!
When she first appears onscreen, Chastain plays Margaret, a sweet woman hosting a dinner party who ventures into her backyard to investigate what's bothering her agitated dog, Luna. When she gets out there she's attacked and (presumably) killed by the aliens who were hiding among the trees. As we learn later in the film, the aliens are survivors of the D'Bari Empire who are driven from their peaceful existence when the Phoenix force consumes their sun and destroys their solar system, bringing their race to the brink of extinction. The alien who takes Margaret's form is known as Vuk, the leader of the refugees, and she is not interested in making friends with anyone on Earth. (Vuk is depicted as male in the comics, but since the alien is wearing Jessica's skin, we'll refer to them as "she.")
When Vuk encounters Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) post-Phoenix connection, she encourages the young mutant to focus on controlling her new power, telling Jean that she can use the power to rebuild worlds. In reality, Vuk is planning to use the power to resurrect the D'Bari race and begin again, killing Jean and all of humanity in the process. Jean is able to overpower her and dispatches the remaining D'Bari, but it's at the cost of her own life.
In the comics, the D'Bari aren't shapeshifters like they are in the film and Vuk isn't even on D'Bari IV when Phoenix destroys it. He does attack her to avenge his decimated race, but it's much later after the destruction of his home planet. Jean manages to telepathically convince Vuk that he's killed her, which leads him to leave Earth in victory. It's a much more peaceful ending for the alien than their ending in Dark Phoenix, that's for sure.
James McAvoy, who plays a more cynical version of Charles Xavier this time around, revealed to YahooUK that the film underwent drastic changes during reshoots and Chastain's character took the brunt of the changes. "The end changed a hell of a lot," McAvoy said. "The finale had to change. There was a lot of overlap and parallels with another superhero movie that came out . . . a while ago."
"My character changed a lot, which is an interesting thing because I'm not playing someone from the comics," Chastain added. "So it was always everyday trying to figure out 'Who am I? Who is the mystery that is this character?' And then understanding with the reshoots 'Oh, it's changing again.' It was a constant evolution . . . So yeah, my character changed."
Considering that the original iteration of the D'Baris story (seemingly villainous aliens who are actually refugees seeking a new home after theirs is torn apart) is pretty similar to the Skrulls' story in Captain Marvel, we're going to assume the Marvel film moved the Dark Phoenix crew to change things up. It does make you wonder what kind of character Chastain was meant to portray before and how that changed the final act of the film as a whole. We'll probably never know, but it's definitely food for thought!

Friendly Announcement: Taco Bell's $1 Nacho Fries Are Back For a Limited Time!
Fries and nacho cheese go together like, well, most things and nacho cheese, and Taco Bell has a menu item that combines the two. The fast-food restaurant introduced Nacho Fries to menus in 2017, but sadly, the fries disappeared after the initial launch came to an end. Now for the good news: Nacho Fries are back nationwide beginning on June 6, according to Elite Daily. This addictive side - which only costs $1, by the way - features french fries "with bold Mexican seasoning" served with "a dippable side of warm nacho cheese," according to Taco Bell.
Taco Bell first tested Nacho Fries in Irvine, CA, and left the rest of the country drooling over the possibility of trying them. If you missed out on this cheesy concoction the first few times around, you've got another chance to try it for a limited time (and another excuse to plan a Taco Bell run with your friends). This might be the best news you'll hear all day!

If you missed out on this cheesy concoction the first few times around, you've got another chance to try it for a limited time (and another excuse to plan a Taco Bell run with your friends). This might be the best news you'll hear all day!

46 Photos of Christina Applegate's Hollywood Evolution? I'm Right on Top of That, Rose
Christina Applegate's name has been in the news recently thanks to her incredible performance in the new Netflix series Dead to Me. While she more than deserves this massive shine, I think it's worth reminding everyone that Ms. Applegate is not new to this - in fact, the 47-year old actress has been in the game since she was literally in diapers, having starred in a Playtex baby bottle commercial when she was only five months old.
Since then, she's racked up major TV and film credits - my personal favorites include Married With Children, The Sweetest Thing and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead - and even appeared on stage in productions like The Axeman's Jazz and Sweet Charity, which earned her a Tony nomination in 2005. Let us also not forget the fact that she once ditched Brad Pitt halfway through a date. Iconic.
With the Applegate resurgence upon us and Dead to Me officially getting a second season, I thought this would be a perfect time to reflect on Christina's impressive Hollywood evolution.

Jennifer Aniston Wants a Friends Reboot Just as Much as We Do: "Anything Can Happen"
We still don't know what Chandler Bing does for a living, but what we do know is that we need a Friends reboot ASAP. On Wednesday, Jennifer Aniston sat down on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about her new Netflix movie with Adam Sandler, her upcoming Apple series with Reese Witherspoon, and, of course, the possibility of bringing back our favorite sitcom. DeGeneres wasted no time before immediately asking for demanding a Friends reunion, and Aniston did not object!
"Listen, I would do it! The girls would do it and the boys would do it, I'm sure," Aniston said. "Anything can happen." And even if she's the only one involved, they can call it Friend. It's not the first time Aniston has spoken about a potential reboot, and with the 25th anniversary of the show's premiere coming up in September, we have a feeling the Central Perk crew might make our dreams come true. So, pivot whatever you're doing and watch the adorable clip above where Aniston gushed over her Friends castmates.

Yum! Trader Joe's Sauce- and Mozzarella-Stuffed Gnocchi Are Basically Mini Pizza Pockets
If you can't decide between pizza or pasta for dinner, Trader Joe's Outside-In Gnocchi might be the solution to your dilemma. Available in the frozen section, this take on an old Italian favorite is stuffed with gooey mozzarella and just the right amount of tomato sauce in every bite. Just drizzle some olive oil on top and add a sprinkle of parmesan, and dinner is served!
Trader Joe's has taken the liberty of stuffing the gnocchi itself so you don't have to bother making your own sauce or having fresh mozzarella cheese to pair it with - there's no prep time required.
As for what it's made of? Potatoes and unbleached wheat flour make up the dough, and the filling consists of mozzarella cheese, crushed tomatoes, onions, and a mixture of spices like basil and garlic. Each one-pound bag of Outside-In Gnocchi is available for $3 and can easily be prepared on the stove or in the microwave. Since Trader Joe's Cauliflower Gnocchi was such a low-carb hit, we expect the new Outside-In Gnocchi to gnoc our socks off, too.

The CFDA Awards Red Carpet Was a Monday Night Fashion Surprise
"Jennifer Lopez uses clothes as a way to express confidence and power. Both designers and fans look forward to her fashion statements," CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg said of J Lo, who was honored with the Fashion Icon title at this year's CFDA Awards in her custom Ralph Lauren look. Jennifer's impressively bold signature style obviously set a standard for the rest of the looks that strolled down the carpet at the Brooklyn Museum.
Led by the likes of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (being recognized for their accessories) and Virgil Abloh (who arrived with Gigi Hadid on his arm), the fashion crowd gathered to celebrate talent across the board. Of course, we're here to let you know who arrived with whom, and we're providing a solid look at the outfit details.
If you recall, this event has seen J Lo in a sheer, bedazzled slip dress in 1998, Rihanna in see-through Adam Selman in 2014, and Gigi in a rainbow Versace catsuit just last year. So we weren't surprised when Bella Hadid showed up in sequins and feathers and Ashley Graham channeled Alfred Hitchcock's glamorous films in Christian Siriano. Scroll to check out every arrival before you read up on the winners.

Ellen Pompeo Wanted to Quit Grey's Anatomy Many Times Over "Toxic" Work Environment
Ellen Pompeo's 15-year road as Meredith Grey on Grey's Anatomy hasn't always been smooth. In a Variety interview with Empire's Taraji P. Henson, Pompeo shed light on the culture surrounding her ABC show's first six seasons - and what she did to change it.
"The first 10 years we had serious culture issues, very bad behavior, really toxic work environment," Pompeo admitted, after revealing she'd wanted to quit "many" times. "But once I started having kids, it became no longer about me. I need to provide for my family."
"At 40 years old, where am I ever going to get this kind of money? I need to take care of my kids," she continued. "But after Season 10, we had some big shifts in front of the camera, behind the camera."
It became my goal to have an experience there that I could be happy and proud about, because we had so much turmoil for 10 years.
Another necessary change came in the form of Pompeo's paycheck. "[Patrick Dempsey] was being paid almost double what I was in the beginning. He had a television quote. I had never done TV," she said. "'He's done 13 pilots.' Well, none of them have gone. I didn't even realize until we were renegotiating Season 3. No one was offering that up." Pompeo eventually negotiated her contract and famously became one of the highest paid women in TV in 2018.
After Dempsey left Grey's Anatomy in season 11, Pompeo said the studio and network told her "the show could not go on without the male lead," despite Meredith being the titular character. She made it her mission to prove them wrong, and her relationship with showrunner Shonda Rhimes was essential in making that happen.
"It became my goal to have an experience there that I could be happy and proud about, because we had so much turmoil for 10 years. My mission became, this can't be fantastic to the public and a disaster behind the scenes," Pompeo said. "Shonda Rhimes and I decided to rewrite the ending of this story. That's what's kept me."
Rhimes also gave Pompeo the flexibility she needed as the parent of three kids. "She lets us be mothers," Pompeo said of Rhimes. "I don't have to travel. I don't have to go anywhere."
Despite the strides she and Rhimes have made, Pompeo acknowledges she's had to make artistic sacrifices to turn the show's culture around. "I haven't been challenged creatively at all. Every once in a while we do an amazing storyline. But for the last five years, I've had other milestones that we were trying to achieve behind the camera."
Get Ready, Gilead - June Might Have a New Ally in The Handmaid's Tale
Everything about June's dedication to revolutionize Gilead and get justice for her family and her fellow handmaids on The Handmaid's Tale is enough to get anyone fired up, even June's frenemy Serena Joy. Throughout the past two seasons of the show, we've seen June and Serena grow in their relationship and understand each other more. In season three, Serena's newfound sense of self and her frustration with Gilead's government will turn her into the ultimate ally for June, and here's why.
Serena once stood as an author and a major public figure who took pride in the work that she completed. Now, she is marginalized by her husband, Commander Waterford, and the society that she lives in and serves with the purpose of pleasing the men in her life. With Serena's growing frustration of living in a male-dominated society and the idea of a daughter growing up only to suffer in the ways that she and June do, she decides to help June escape Gilead. One of the last scenes of season two shows a tearful Serena saying goodbye to her daughter as June escapes. A part of Serena is broken now that her only chance at having a child is gone, as well as one of her confidantes, but she understands that the only way for her child to have a happy life is to get away from the family she would soon grow up in.
Naturally, this is heartbreaking and infuriating for Serena, who only ever wanted a baby.
The first episode of season three sends us right back to Gilead, after June has sent baby Nichole with Emily, rather than taking her to safety herself. When June returns to the Waterfords' house, Serena is furious that the baby is no longer with June, her protector.
It's just another peg in the timeline of Serena and June's tumultuous relationship. We've seen Serena manipulate June more than once, and we've seen June betray Serena just as hard, like when she hides out in an abandoned house for several weeks while she's still pregnant with baby Nichole. Along the way, though, there have been acts of kindness from both of the characters that have brought them ever-so-slightly closer. Even though these two characters haven't always been on the same terms with each other, it's clear that they are both unhappy with the world they're living in.
As season three goes on, we can't help but think Serena is going to lean more heavily into her anger toward Gilead and the life she had to leave behind to serve the men in the country. She's already getting snappy with the Commander, even telling him in season three, "I don't need you to protect me." I think it's safe to say that Serena has had it with the Commander's misogynistic ways and is ready to start paving her own path instead - possibly with June at her side? We think it's a good bet.
Serena has created quite the story arc with her character. From acts of cruelty in season one to helping June and defying the government she helped create in season two, it seems highly probable that Serena is going to help June and become a part of the resistance. With Serena and June being two prominent characters stuck in Gilead, I don't think there's any way they won't end up being allies. Praise be!
