The Bachelor Couples: Where Are They Now?
The anticipation of waiting for Clare Crawley's and Matt James's seasons of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor has made us reminisce about those early Bachelor seasons and wonder what the couples are up to now. Most importantly, who are they seeing and what are their relationship statuses are. We all know that the contestants from the reality TV show loves to get together with other former stars, making it difficult to keep track of who's with whom. So, we're breaking it down from the beginning to give you the scoop on where the last couples standing from each of the 24 seasons of The Bachelor are now. And in case you missed it, the previous bachelor, Peter Weber ended up engaged to Hannah Anne, only to have the engagement called off after he said he still had feelings for Madison. He started dating Kelley Flanagan, who he priorly dumped on the show, and now the two are as happy as can be. See if the other couples made it out this happy and lived their Bachelor fairy tales, or if their love was only made for the screen. The final rose is just the beginning . . .

TBH, I Feel Pretty Hot in These $20 Denim Bermuda Shorts - and My Butt Is Covered!
I've owned a ton of high-waisted denim shorts over the years, and the one disappointing aspect that's been consistent is that I'm never happy with the fit. There's always a tug-of-war between the waist height and pant length that either leaves me feeling like I'm showing too much leg or that, in order to cover my butt, the waistline digs into my hips. And I've tried to look for denim bermuda shorts in the past but they've felt too tight on my thigh. I recently decided to try Old Navy's High-Waisted Relaxed Cut-Off Jean Shorts ($20, originally $30) because the brand makes such great jeans to begin with, and these were reasonably priced. My review? Holy heck, these shorts are absolutely perfect.
é
For starters the fabric is soft along the inner thigh - I'm talking NO CHAFE even on walks - and the shorts are stretchy without looking that way. The wash is slightly distressed, which makes me want to wear them with casual t-shirts and tailored blazers. Since I wore these shorts on a hot day I went with a sheer polyester blazer.
These are my absolute favorite Summer shorts and I can't wait to wear them with wraparound sandals and even button-downs. They fit true to size and don't require any breaking in.

Experts Explain Why It Isn't a Good Idea (or Even Safe) to Vape Melatonin
For the third of American adults who report getting insufficient sleep, a natural sleep aid like melatonin may sound appealing. After all, it can be bought over the counter and isn't associated with the addictive qualities or potentially risky side effects of other sleep medications. Now, melatonin is available in a variety of forms, including vape pens and diffusers combined with essential oils like lavender and chamomile. But before you order any of these products, it's important to be aware of the risks of vaping and long-term melatonin use.
Jennifer Butler, MD, who specializes in sleep medicine at Piedmont Healthcare, told POPSUGAR that melatonin is no longer strongly recommended for treatment of chronic primary insomnia. "Recent clinical studies investigating melatonin's overall efficacy in improving sleep onset, sleep maintenance, or sleep quality were poor," Dr. Butler said. If you have insomnia, she recommends seeking guidance from your physician or sleep clinician in order to get to the root cause. For example, Dr. Butler noted that insomnia can be the result of untreated sleep apnea or medical conditions like thyroid disease.
This isn't to say you should never take the supplement, assuming you've cleared it with your doctor - but experts do advise against vaping melatonin. "Many take a supplement if they are having trouble regulating this hormone in their own body, but research has not been done on consuming this in vapor form," said Rizwan Bashir, MD, a neurologist based in Atlanta. Dr. Bashir explained that an oral supplement takes anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour to be fully absorbed by the liver. "Vaping melatonin can access your lungs and blood stream instantly, and typically these pens offer a lot more melatonin than the body is used to," he told POPSUGAR. This means that you could be consuming more melatonin than your body is intended to have, which could mess with your circadian rhythm.
"Too much of a good thing can definitely be a bad thing," Dr. Bashir said. "Is this too much melatonin? There is no research to effectively say yes or no. That should serve as a warning to users."
Then there's the issue of vaping itself, which poses its own risks. Khushboo Chokshi, MD, a pulmonologist at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia, told POPSUGAR that one of the biggest dangers of vaping any substance - whether it's nicotine, THC, or melatonin - is the risk of e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury (EVALI). Dr. Chokshi described EVALI as a serious condition that can lead to death, noting that lung tissue evaluated from 17 EVALI-related deaths showed damage similar to what's seen in patients who have been exposed to chemical fumes from a toxic spill. "One of the main issues with vaping is that no one knows what is in the vaping liquids or what exactly is causing the acute lung injuries and deaths," she told POPSUGAR.
Bottom line: if you're struggling to sleep, it's always best to check in with your doctor, instead of trying to treat the problem on your own.

These Are the Movies You Can Watch on Netflix With the Hottest Actors - You're Welcome
If you're in the mood to watch a movie that stars a sexy guy, we get it. Thankfully, Netflix gets it, too. The streaming service's current 2020 lineup is the gift that keeps on giving, blessing us with some of the hottest eye candy that we've yet to see. We did the dirty work and rounded up a bunch of movies that feature the most smoldering men around for a shameless movie night in. Some of these characters are being romantic, some are showing off their guns (and abs) in action movies, and some are pure evil (in a really hot way), but what they all have in common is, well, we want to jump their bones. We can't vouch for the quality of all these movies, but we can say that the actors starring in them are nothing short of sexy.

The truth is that it's not that hard to find suits that are as cute as they are practical for your shape as long as you look for underwire or molded cups to support ample cleavage. Not to worry; we've pulled the best swimwear on the market to complement your shape. Read on for the tips and tricks, then keep scrolling to find your best match.
- Look for bra-style tops with underwire and adjustable straps.

101 Tiny, Chic Wrist Tattoos That Are Better Than a Bracelet
If you truly want to wear your heart on your sleeve, then the wrist should be the canvas for your next tattoo. A flat plane fairly easy to tattoo, the wrist is popular for first-timers who want small designs or little sayings. While a tiny wrist tattoo is generally a more visible tattoo than, say, one on the ribs or back, this placement allows for easy coverage with foundations or bracelets - making it an ideal choice for those who might be slightly tentative to get inked in a more prominent location. Conversely, we like the wrist because of its visibility: the conspicuousness of this spot is perfect for tattoos meant to serve as a source of inspiration, support, or reminder. But don't just take our word for it - check out these gorgeous small wrist tattoos to get some serious inspiration ahead.

Janelle Monáe Talks Black Representation on Screen and Dismantling Systemic Racism
Janelle Monáe is demanding change in the form of action. During a roundtable discussion for The Hollywood Reporter, the actress and singer opened up about the steps she believes are necessary to enact longterm societal change and how she's been reacting to the ongoing conversations about race in the US. "For me, I'm trying to figure out how to channel my anger. That's my emotion," she said. "One of the things that I learned about me is that I'm not settling for those who say that they're allies. I'm not settling for lip service. If you want to show me that you're an ally, it's going to have to be rooted in acts of service." Janelle then called upon her white friends and those who support her to initiate tough conversations around white supremacy and slavery to bring the Black Lives Matter movement one step closer to dismantling systemic racism.
"I want to see more scripts where you're writing for the human, you're not pushing me to be a stereotype of what you think Blackness is."
Janelle points out that, while many are using this time to check their perspectives, reflection isn't a privilege everyone has as they navigate the multiple pandemics currently afflicting society. "For me and my people, for the Black community, this is not an exciting time," she said. "This isn't a time that we get to really reflect. We're dealing with a lot of trauma . . . Black people make up the essential workers who are making sure that we have our packages and our food, and this is not a time for them to reflect in the ways that we, as artists, have the privilege to do. So, I'm checking my privilege and I'm also mourning with my people."
Janelle added that she hopes to see more roles open up in the acting world that allow her to see herself accurately represented as a Black person on screen. "I want to see more scripts where you're writing for the human, you're not pushing me to be a stereotype of what you think Blackness is," she said. Noting her role on the Amazon Prime series Homecoming as an example of progress, Janelle says she hopes to have the freedom to break boundaries and explore different genres in both her music and future acting roles.
In order to transform systemic change from an idea into a reality off screen, Janelle noted that action must be taken to hire more Black people in executive positions and to denormalize the abuse of authority that so many police officers have taken advantage of. She also added that she is a strong supporter of the movement to defund the police and seeks to redistribute that money towards society's educational and health care systems. "This is a moment for Black people to stand our ground and ask more of our systems," Janelle said. "Because it can't just be, 'We're going to march with you and do a hashtag.' It has to be rooted in justice, as well."

Lose Your Breath? Get It Back After Your Workout With This Beyoncé Cooldown Playlist
There are so many Beyoncé songs on my workout playlist, I've lost count. Some of my favorites that get me pumped up to hit the treadmill in full stride or power through a strength-training routine include "Run The World (Girls)," "Diva," "Upgrade U," "Ring The Alarm," and most recently her "Savage" remix. Even though her music gives a big dose of confidence to keep moving, there are plenty of songs that bring the beat in slow and are perfect for a cooldown.
Ahead, check out our Beyoncé cooldown playlist that will make you sing along and settle into your breath as you walk around, foam roll, or do some stretches. Classics include "Halo," "XO," "Irreplaceable," and "If I Were a Boy." The playlist itself is on Spotify, but you can also scroll through the upcoming slides for all of the songs on YouTube. Press play, and get to relaxing with these feel-good hits.

NYX (pronounced "nix" and named after the Greek goddess of the night) holds an annual contest for beauty vloggers with different themed makeup-tutorial challenges, and people who use this brand love it and aren't shy about showing it off on social media. Search #NYX on Instagram and you'll find more than two million photos, plus one million videos on YouTube for ample inspiration.
Lucky for us, NYX can be found anywhere from your local drugstore, like CVS and Walgreens, to bigger department stores like Ulta Beauty, Target, and Walmart, not to mention Amazon. The cult-favorite brand has more products than we can count for beauty lovers to discover and create with, but we're sharing just a few of our favorites, ahead.

Coach Monica Aldama Just Narrated the Cheer Finale Moment That Made You Hold Your Breath
"Although we were in a very tough situation, these kids are fighters." In a new video for Netflix featuring her narration, Navarro College Cheer Team coach Monica Aldama recently reflected on a pivotal scene from the Cheer docuseries finale. (Yes, it was the Daytona do-over.)
It was a moment that likely made millions of viewers hold their breath: after countless practices and so much effort put in, the team was well into their end-of-year performance at the national collegiate cheer championship when team member Austin Bayles landed incorrectly, injuring his ankle. Though the team would be given another opportunity to perform the routine with Alex Bouhuys in Austin's place, they were shaken up.
"At this point, I could see the fear in everyone's eyes. There were people crying. I think a lot of people felt like we had just lost - that we were defeated," Monica said, looking back. "So, I knew that my job at this moment was to make sure that they felt confident and that I believed in them. I could not let any of my emotions show."
With the minimal time they were given, the team tried their best to get Alex up to speed. "We actually only got to do the pyramid about four times. One pyramid fell completely. It wasn't shown in the show, but completely fell to the ground," Monica said. She added, "You can also hear me talking to them to let them know that their competition had a mistake. I felt like that was important because I wanted them to not feel like they were out of the game."
As viewers will know, Navarro went on to nail their second attempt at the performance and take the championship. "We practice through really hard situations so that we can fight through everything," Monica said. "The bond that this team has – the grit and determination - those are all the things that allowed this team to fight through this injury." Watch the video in its entirety above, and read POPSUGAR's interview with Monica and several Navarro cheerleaders for more insight into what went down that day.

How to Help Demand Justice For Elijah McClain Nearly a Year After His Tragic Death
It's been nearly a year since Elijah McClain was choked and beaten by three police officers in Aurora, CO, on Aug. 24, 2019. McClain died six days later after being pronounced brain dead, and the officers responsible were put on paid administrative leave and never apprehended. Amid ongoing protests addressing police brutality and racial inequality, many are just now learning about McClain's tragic death and subsequently demanding justice.
The 23-year-old massage therapist, described as a "sweet soul" by those who knew him, was walking home from buying iced tea at a local convenience store when a civilian called the police to report "suspicious" behavior. McClain was wearing a ski mask because his anemia would often make him run cold, and he was waving his arms, likely because he was dancing to music playing in his headphones.
"I am an introvert. Please respect my boundaries."
When officers Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt, and Randy Roedema arrived at the scene, McClain was alarmed and a struggle reportedly ensued. The officers acted with aggression and one restrained McClain by placing him in a carotid hold. According to body camera footage later released by the Aurora Police Department, McClain can be heard saying, "Let me go. I am an introvert. Please respect my boundaries that I am speaking," before repeatedly stating he could not breathe. When paramedics arrived, they administered ketamine to sedate McClain, and he suffered two heart attacks.
Following renewed public interest, the Aurora Police Department announced several policy changes, including a ban on carotid hold and a duty to simply observe "suspicious" persons from afar, as opposed to immediately making contact. More can and should be done to adequately address the insurmountable loss McClain's family and community have faced. Below are just a few ways you can help in the fight for justice.
- Sign and share the petition calling for a full investigation and demanding that the officers involved be taken off duty.
- Donate to (or share) the fundraising campaign started by McClain's mother, Sheneen McClain. The GoFundMe was originally created when McClain was still alive and on life support, but is now dedicated toward a foundation in his name.
- Call Aurora elected officials. Check out this resource to find relevant phone numbers for Colorado representatives, as well as a helpful guide to what you can say when you call.
