If you're bold enough to offer to help decorate your boyfriend's apartment, first of all, you deserve a high five. Next, you may need to know a few things before you get started to make sure the process goes as smoothly as possible.
After bravely volunteering to decorate my boyfriend's room, I quickly realized the extent of what I was promising. I thought I was going to be able to just decorate it however I wanted. These guys think they want to hand over all of the control, until the process actually starts. That's when I realized how much of a compromise this was really going to be and ended up learning a lot from the experience.
