1 Very Lucky Elephant Got to Grab Leonardo DiCaprio's Pants
It's been a busy year for Leonardo DiCaprio, what with meeting the pope and winning his first Oscar, but the actor isn't slowing down yet. Shortly after promoting his Academy Award-winning film, The Revenant, in Japan in April, Leo took off for a two-day trip to the Leuser Ecosystem in Indonesia, where he met with and gave his support to local groups working to save the area from development threats.
On Monday, Leo shared a photo of himself with a pair of volunteers and two Sumatran elephants - one of which seemed very happy to see the star and made a grab for his pantleg. With the photo, Leo announced that his foundation is supporting partners to "establish a mega-fauna sanctuary in the Leuser Ecosystem," adding that it's "the last place on Earth where Sumatran orangutans, tigers, rhinos, and elephants coexist in the wild."
