Most of us can agree that 2016 felt like one of the worst years we could ever remember living through. However, despite the many negative memories 2016 brought us, it also gave us some happy and uplifting stories. Imgur felt the same when it selected its top 16 posts of the year.
"The posts we selected this year helped to lift the world's spirits during the famous disappointments of 2016," wrote Sarah Schaaf, the director of Community at Imgur in a post. "These posts helped shape this community's culture and left a lasting impact on the Internet as a whole." Check out the posts ahead, each with captions from Imgur.
