19 Winning Photos From Nat Geo's 2016 Nature Photographer Contest That Will Inspire Your Next Trip
If you ever need a reminder that the world is full of amazing places to visit and see, just take a look at the winning photos of National Geographic's nature photographer of the year contest. The winning photos will make you rethink your vacation plans in a heartbeat.
The contest, which ran from August to November, included four categories: Animal Portraits, Landscape, Action, and Environmental Issues. The magazine also issued a grand prize winner from submissions in these categories. Who won this year? Greg Lecoeur who took a photo of both cape gannet birds and dolphins hunting sardines.
