As if we needed another reason to love bread in all of its carb-filled, starchy glory, Instagram user Konel_Bread is making us fall utterly head over heels. Japanese baker Ran, the genius behind the Instagram account, isn't just any baker - she's an artist who creates works of art within each circular loaf. These masterpieces come to life with each slice, revealing awe-worthy images and patterns made with natural ingredients for every color. And here we are still burning our toast . . .
The Tokyo-based food artist was recently featured on Instagram's official account, where she noted that her creations were inspired by decorative sushi rolls she once saw being made on TV. Her loaves have some fun designs hidden inside, from Snoopy and Hello Kitty to fruits and flowers, but sometimes she incorporates her own son's drawings. "My little boy loves the breads, and he'll usually have two slices for breakfast - maybe three on a really good day," Ran said in Instagram's spotlight post about her.
