We Tried Krispy Kreme's New Nutella Doughnuts, and Here's What Happened
If you are a fan of Nutella then stop everything, because Krispy Kreme just launched a new decadent treat for the holidays. It's chock-full of sweet chocolate-hazelnutty vibes. While it's called "Nutty Cocoa Ring" it's a doughnut covered in Nutella, dusted with some crispy hazelnut pieces, and drizzled with more chocolate frosting. We obviously picked up a dozen (or two) to try out ourselves!
While some Nutella fans were absolutely smitten by them, others questioned the sweetness. Here are some of the reviews from our fellow POPSUGAR staff:
"Did they use a different dough recipe? The doughnut tasted denser/cakeier."
"The doughnut is dry."
"I wish they were glazed too!"
"Pretty f*cking into this!"
"I need some milk."
"That crunch though!"
"Why are there only crunchy bits on half? It needs them all over."
"I would have liked more icing."
"Why aren't they sweet? Are they healthy doughnuts? If so, then I'd give it a 10!"
